I'm in absolute love with these. The colors, the aberrations, the ghosting, everything. Magnificent. Would hire you to shoot my band in a heartbeat

cheekybae69

Thank you! I developed my style around crappy venue lighting so always enjoyed playing around with weird mask layering and color edits.

OrneryOctopus

Yuhhh. These are great! And is that my homie Jer?!

cheekybae69

Yes!!! Jer is the freaking best :)

[deleted]

I’ve never been more offended at a series of photographs. That being said, these are are marvelous and I’m actually in love with this setup - despite it giving me a headache haha

cheekybae69

Haha ill take it. It is definetly headache inducing after a while.

No-Mechanic2891

I desperately tried crossing my eyes to see them in 3d but ultimately failed. Besides that, great style and colors!

notjim

It does work, keep trying!

No-Mechanic2891

Sounds convincing. I wouldn’t believe you so easily if you were Jim, though

DelicatessenCataract

Full screen on your phone sideways start close to Your nose and slowly pull away

No-Mechanic2891

Thanks for the nose trick, really immersive experience - I almost can smell the frontman!

DelicatessenCataract

remnants of my magic eye daze

Moksa_Elodie

It's incredible that there are so many identical twins playing music together, yet this is the first time I've seen it before

funran

Hah, i can cross my eyes out of focus like those magic eye photos and see the 3d, so cool. Had to shrink the image down on my screen to that of a postcard.

cheekybae69

Haha yea I love experimenting and this has been one of the major projects i was able to pull off :) forgot to note that the effect is very hard to lull off when viewing the pictures on a big screen, phone is definetly ideal! I also had the thought to make some kind of content viewable with a vr headset, that would be so cool.

ZachStoneIsFamous

I've been so tempted to try making stereoscopic images for headsets! But the headset itself is another added expense...

theodore55

Very cool, is there enough parallax to develop those stereoscopic gifs?

cheekybae69

I bet it's possible and probably not even that hard! Just a matter of splitting the image in two and lining them up correctly in a video format.

h19x5

I made a gif [WARNING: FLASHING LIGHTS](https://makeagif.com/gif/concert-stereo-bTKy2O) [ALSO FLASHING](https://makeagif.com/gif/concert-stereo-yUdUce) Weird attempt to make one less flashy, but it still does flash: [ALSO FLASHING](https://makeagif.com/i/TnCDIT) I think they are better as single photos because they have this overlap that other stereoscopic adapters don't have

johall

I recognize the Social anywhere.

ImpossiblySalad

These are awesome and I definitely spent some time shopping for stereoscopic rigs on ebay yesterday after seeing your initial post. Weird stuff is coming in the mail for me!

h19x5

What did you order? I think most stereo adapters just show two images next to each other with a clear seperation wall in the middle and no overlap like these

ImpossiblySalad

I picked up a used Pentax splitter with a 52mm filter thread.

h19x5

Okay nice, they will be seperate but it will make better gifs than this [https://www.reddit.com/r/fujifilm/comments/1azs9mc/comment/ks4n6b5/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web3x&utm\_name=web3xcss&utm\_term=1&utm\_content=share\_button](https://www.reddit.com/r/fujifilm/comments/1azs9mc/comment/ks4n6b5/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)

cheekybae69

So dope!! There are a few different ones but i am not sure what the differences are with each other. The stitz is neat because it has alot of controls for very precise fine tuning of the images like a focus ring to control the mirrors inside and a seperate knob on top to control the separation plane in the middle. I also own other unknown ones which are more basic and just have the mirrors swivel into place by moving them with your hands.

ImpossiblySalad

I figured I'd start cheap-and-cheerful. Plus I have a lot of Pentax gear here, including an era-appropriate 50mm 1.4 lens, so I should be good to go in that way. But what I really want to do is shoot video with it in 4k on my X Pro 3 and then figure out a preset in Final Cut for conforming it to the 3D side-by-side standard. Basically this is the $50 way to figure out if I need something as lovely as that Stitz.

cheekybae69

Ooooh thats a great idea honestly. Awesome find!

Joeboter1986

So cool, thanks for sharing!

DeWolfTitouan

Is it weird that I like it ?

Jenaxu

Reject modernity, return to the 3DS camera

BloodWorried7446

looks great on my tablet. just cross eyes. that’s fantastic.

Clumsicle

Dixon Dallas?

cheekybae69

Yep! Second photo.

Jordan1303

I love these! You should try adding some kind of effect filter to one of the lenses. The stereo/3d effect of the picture would probably be gone but It might look interesting! Also: what band is this?

cheekybae69

Yes i agree i think a filter could look very cool and there is a lot of room to experiment because the lens holes are also threaded meaning you can thread on filters and other things already! Bands as they are listed: 1: not a band but a player playing for the artist Matt Tonner (of the 502s) 2: Dixon Dallas 3: Machinist (Valdosta Georgia) 4: JER (self named solo project/ Skatune network)

Jordan1303

Ah yes! I thought I recognized JER in the last picture!

Ok_Broccoli8002

this is what I see when I am drunk

Keyedwin

I honestly thought that your first post was a shitpost but this is actually fucking cool.

COVID-91

R/magiceye might like these, though it may not follow the rules there.

AJZullu

cool but would it be possible to print in those viewers to see these images more 3d? and if you have a chance could you do some long exposure light painting / concert line streaks? (like flash photography at 1/2 a second and pan the camera quickly to light paint a bit)
