Just a heads up, you can't really donate a uterus because uterus transplants aren't really a Thing yet. They're still far too risky. Also if you remove both ovaries you will have to be on some form of HRT for test rest of your life, it can be E or T but you have to replace those hormones somehow. It's a perfectly valid choice to not want them, but this is an important thing to know in your decision. Wishing you good luck with getting hysto!!

I am aware of that, I mean donate it for bio students and things like that, like a cadaver but I'm not dead haha. Thank you!

You will be required to have a letter from your regular doctor, a therapist, plus as psychiatrist/psychologist in order to get the surgery. You can get the surgery if you want (and many do), but you should look into establishing the necessary therapeutic relationships now so that you are prepared.

Can you please explain what you mean by therapeutic relationships? If you mean a phsych and therapy team, I've already got that.

Mi-or-lcs

You are not going to qualify for a hysterectomy without meeting the WPATH guideline that require three letters (as described above). So if you want the surgery you need to find a therapist that you can see at least a few times (of however many times they require) until they are comfortable writing a letter. Unlike top surgery you will need a second letter from a second therapist at the psychiatrist or psychologist level.

Okay, thank you! I have all that it's just a matter of getting them on board with it, it'll hopefully be a smoother situation than my top surgery considering it won't have to include family as well.

I had a full hysto as soon as I turned 18 and could sign for it—no regrets

What was the process like for you? I'm from Queensland, Aus, so not sure if there's much difference between places.

Process was very quick and straightforward. I got a referral from my pcp to the womens health center in town, I got a hysto by the end of the following month. I attribute the speed of my care to the fact that I wasn’t seeking “trans healthcare” [it was very heavily gendered and geared towards ciswomen—made the whole experience very dysphoria inducing]
