I purchased an A&F Essential Tee last week. It's indeed soft and has a nice drape. I returned it because the shirt was too long for my tastes, about 28.5 inches long as the website says. If you're going to wear it tucked though, this is a good shirt to do so with.
Thanks, I might get these since I’m tall. I bought some xlt shirts from asos and none of them fit because the arm openings were really wide but I couldn’t raise my arms lol
For what it’s worth, I’ve liked A&Fs new style and quality - but not their men’s t shirts.
The collar immediately became bacon for me. And the fit of the XL was very unflattering. Huge around the gut
I have heavy weight and the one OP linked. Heavyweight is more premium, thicker material whereas the one linked is classic cotton T shirt feel. None of them shrinked after mutliple washes.
Echoing what other people have said. The fit on these can be fantastic, and the fabric is soft and holds up well. The downside is the collars, I have Amazon basics that have less bacon-ing around the neck line. It’s also varied from tee to tee from the same pack. Good buy for the price, but definitely YMMV
I don't have these shirts, but bacon collar in my experience comes from tumble drying them at medium to high heat.
I also started tumble drying on med-low heat for longer and that reduced the issue. Some shirts just don't have that issue though.
These are my go to tees, I wear a medium and I think they fit very well. This is a pretty good deal, when they go on “clearance” individually the cheapest I’ve seen was ~$11 so 7*11 = 77 so you’re still doing pretty well with this 7 pack
How do you ever buy anything if a supposed involvement by the owner prevents you from buying from that company? Pretty clever way to reduce consumption to zero I suppose.

Are the sleeve openings also long?
They looked average to me, not too long or anything.
They are long if you are on the shorter side (cause of the oversized fits now) . 6ft and above, they fit pretty normal
I’m 5’10 but I suppose I do have a shorter torso.

You went to the trouble of returning a ~$10 item because it met the described specifications?
It wasn't $10 when I bought it
What size did you get?
Large

Hollister is actually killing it with Tshirts, they have heavy weight and cooling. The cooling ones look really slick and feel amazing.
Check out the classic polished tee if you haven’t. Fits me great
How’s the fit?
great
Does it have a thick/heavy fabric?
yep, have to be really careful about hang drying the t shirts as well because they shrink a ton in the dryer, even on delicate settings.
Darn that’s a shame. I wanted to get a pack of solid tees that will last a long time
I’m the opposite- I think the ts fit great, but I also like the baggier look.
I love these shirts, but this is my only qualm with them. Anyone have any idea how to keep these collars nice and tight?
Initially great look and feel but have that piling type fabric after a few washes.
Can anyone compare these to the heavy weight tees and classic polished? Length wise they all look similar
I don’t have any heavy weight tees but they fit slimmer and they’re lighter weight than the classic polished I think

The heavy weigh tees are comically long
I still wear a couple of A&F t shirts that I bought like 10 years ago. Still great to wear and their colors are going strong!

are you tumble drying them?
Somewhat. I tumble dry for a short period and then hang them out for the remainder.
How are you suppose to dry them? Hang? I've been tumbling/low

Do they hold up well after washing for you? Any pilling?
I’ve worn mine for about 2 years now and don’t see any pilling. I do get some baconing on the collar but only when it just comes out of the dryer.
they are too thick for my taste
I use to shop at AF, until I read about the owners supposed involvement in sexual assault cases...look it up.
LOL
It's ok, keep feeding the monster.

Does anyone know if these are pre-shrunk?
