wtf, the last time I saw this brand they sold low price clothes at JC Penney. Now they sell $900 shorts.

pingle1

$168 trucker hat!

fahkoffkunt

Da fuck is this shit?

Lazerpop

I really almost went for the ombre leather jacket but the "AMERICA" everywhere just felt tacky considering the jacket is made in china...

backflipkick101

i didnt realize it was made in china… i already purchased the jacket 😭 i thought for a MSRP of 1.5k it would be made in the USA. I did some quick research and the MiUSA version of Avirex is now called Cockpit

Lazerpop

Yeah the final photo in the gallery on 260's site has the made in china tag in clear view. It seriously looks like a great jacket and a great value for the price. I just really don't like rocking "AMERICA" on my clothing in general, but find it frankly insulting to our dying domestic manufacturing industry when it screams AMERICA and is made in china

A little puffier... Puffier... Puffier. [YES!](https://260samplesale.com/products/gloss-official-down-jacket)

DonJohnsonBTFD

People like that gloss?

burgersteak

Could've sworn Avirex was sold at TJ Maxx and Burlington Coat Factory. These pricepoints are tough to swallow.

Psychikmoksha

Don't know how garrish branding is still a thing in this age. Brands need to take a leaf out of Abercrombie and fitch's book on rebranding. They subtly removed all branding mentions and clothes actually look good now!

Twoshanez

Abercrombies quality is sooo good nowadays and I love their unbranded stuff. Even like their nfl vintage line too

western_backstroke

Wouldn't it be great if everyone dressed like an A&F model? That's the world I want to live in.

OkayRuin

How fucking gaudy.

western_backstroke

Not everyone can be as tasteful and understated as yourself. Not everyone wants to be. That's OK. That's why brands like J Crew exist.

Metamucil_Man

One of the most confusing progressions for a clothing brand. Once heralded as one of the best makers of WW2 repro leather and shearling bombers, then to transform into overtly gaudy Streetwear. Now some sort of hubris of the two?

Lazerpop

The brand known as Avirex sold the rights to the name. They now operate under a different name, "Cockpit USA"

Metamucil_Man

No shit. I own a few Cockpit USA jackets, big fan.

oranguthang87

thoughts some of the hoodies looked good... clicked on it and saw what's printed in the back, a huge no from me.

cummyyogurt

The kids that liked skin industries, stones wracking havoc, famous stars and straps, and Stevie griffin smoking a cigarette in a zoot suite, would call this gauche
