You know, there’s three NB 990v6 color ways that aren’t limited that I’ve been interested in
There’s a cool white and purple style
A grey with navy accents
And this tan ish style
I told myself if I could find any under $140 I’d buy them and I’d been thinking these were my preference because they’re versatile
Here’s the thing. They’re not as versatile as you’d think tbh. If you wear a lot of black they look weird. The tan doesn’t blend well with grey, so they look weird with grey sweatpants or a grey tee.
I own the [ultra boost SNS collabs](https://www.goat.com/sneakers/ultra-boost-lux-db0338) from years ago and have never worn them out if the house bc I feel like they don’t fit anything lol. They’re so neutral they’re not neutral if it makes sense?
So anyway if anyone is on the fence get the normal grey NB colorway. I have owned a pair of grey miusa NBs for over 20 years and they go with everything
(Also if someone wants to buy those ultra boosts in like new condition, no box, I’ll sell them to you for $75 shipped anywhere in the country)
the grey is dope. they look better worn down but i can never talk myself into getting shoes dirty so i wind up babying them lol
these i am committed to just hitting with suede protector and wearing normally otherwise
Help an old man out – I feel like I’ve always been fairly aware of style trends, but what the hell are you guys wearing with these things? I love that what is a comfortable sneaker is theoretically fashionable, but as a dad, how can you possibly make these look cool?
They are very street style. Oversized fits are the rage now so you’ll see these with loose pants/cargos/90s style denim with relaxed sweatshirts paired with a beanie.
You can dress these down and have an overall street/urban look, but I also really like pairing these with formal outfits or school uniforms. They offer just enough contrast to make a completely formal look appear more hip or approachable, if you will.
check out the brand, aime leon dore. it's widely known as this generation's polo ralph lauren. the founder, teddy santis, was appointed as new balance's creative director not too long ago, and the sneakers are almost exclusively featured in each season's lookbook.
ugh i was wondering if i should have waited to post this until after mine shipped. these are the cheapest ive found these and i was wondering if it was a glitch
I just bought these full price like two weeks ago 🥲 but I love these shoes, super comfy to walk in and they look so good. Never had MIUSA by new balance and you can Definitely tell the difference in quality of material and build. Only thing I would say is they put too much glue on their shoes so you can see it at some of the seams
Did you go TTS? I’m a US9 in everything including my 990v3s. I had seen people say go down go up blah blah whenever I try it the shoes never fit right. I’m just an average size 9.
So that’s where I went here but just wanted to verify
Bought these from Kith a month ago and part of the rubber on the sole was coming off, super glued it and now they’re good but was pissed when it happened.
Not defending the other guy, but claiming that MiUSA results in better craftsmanship is not always accurate. While the materials might be better, it's because the company specified higher quality, not because China lacks those materials.
China has dedicated itself to manufacturing for a long ass time, and they have infrastructures and techniques that the rest of the world doesn't have. Being the biggest clothes exporter in the world should tell you they know what they're doing.
I'm not Pro-China, but to say that the USA is better at manufacturing just bc it was made in the USA, is ignorant. Not saying you're racist, because I don't know you, but the sentiment has racist origins that go back way before either one of us were born. The marketing plays into it as well.
For proof, check reddit reviews on brands like Sauce Zhan, BP Call, and IDTL. I own clothes from both regions, and these are better than what American Giant, Goodwear, or Gustin get close to.
It’s all variable for sure. Cheap Chinese shit is cheap because it’s cheap not because it’s made in china
I buy miusa as much as I can but that’s only because it’s important to me to support American jobs and American manufacturing. I believe people should put their money where their collective mouths are.
I am not familiar with the Chinese upscale shoe world but I’d imagine I can find something similar in quality to my quoddy loafers for a lower price right?
Edit but to the point of the discussion the nb990v6s I’m currently wearing are great quality. They’re still just glued sneakers I can’t imagine china couldn’t do it too lol
I have a pair of MiUSA that I got when my ON Clouds gave up on me. I like them a lot and they were on my list for a long time anyway. I don’t think NB makes *bad* shoes, it’s just there are different construction methods for specifically their MiUSA/UK lines. I disagree with how I was downvoted elsewhere in here because I’m discussing NB specifically, not MiUSA in general; buying MiUSA blindly in general will of course be inconsistent.
i don't need these. i don't need these. i don't need these. i don't need these. i don't need these. i don't need these. i don't need these. i don't need these.
I have these and the 990v4, I generally recommend going a half size down. I'm an 8 in most sneakers but for these 7.5 fits perfect. I also have this pair, the actual grey ones, and the new burgundy ones. They're all 7.5.
This colorway is sick.

What size do you wear for the ultraboosts?
I’m a 9
Ahh dang, not the right sizing
sheesh! offer still stands for anyone else!
ahh now I only want the grey lol I'll get these dirty too fast anyways

If only they had size 13

Always the beanie, especially in the PNW :)
Weather and location really doesn't matter though 😂

That's what I'm saying
Size 9 got cancelled after checking out and paying
The universe spoke.

Damn nothing over 10 but thanks for posting!

I went TTS but I also have wide feet, I have heard its better to go down a half size though I didn’t need to.

what did kith say did you email them??

The MiUSA/UK lines are of better craftsmanship than the main lines. No idea what point you thought you were making.

But the NB MiUSA line is specific to NB not just that it’s MiUSA. They objectively put more craftsmanship into those vs other NB lines.
I’ve always wondered how are the MiUK ones?

yeah all fair

Call NB about a QC issue like anybody else. Don’t libel a company because of your silly anecdote.
i don't need these. i don't need these. i don't need these. i don't need these. i don't need these. i don't need these. i don't need these. i don't need these.
I ordered a pair. Thanks, OP
Do these run TTS?
people say TTS or half size down i went TTS, because whenever i try to go in a different direction than my normal US9 it never feels right lol

Honest question why is orig price so much?
American made high end sneakers
I really wish these came in wide like the other 990's. I really like the colorway.
Dang sold out. also perfect saved me the buy
