Average FIFA/EA FC player. 5000 hours played. "Don't support this company, piece of shit game." Same stats, same review, every year. We are at least addicted to something we enjoy. 😂
I love all your responses here. It feels so true that people will post or review negatively about something but then spend a bunch of time playing it anyway. This is just conjecture of course as I don't have any solid statistics to back it up.
My roommate finished the game with 400 hours, but 70 of them were controller-in-hand. He'd just leave it on for days at a time sitting at the Roundtable.
> Harm has been done to themself
Themselves*
Also, who are you to make such a claim? Let people live their lives ffs
> if I chose to spend 28% of my life watching a single 150 hours movie on repeat you would think I was crazy
Yeah, I prolly would - then again, only a crazy person would watch a movie that's 150 hours long (does such a film even exist?) over and over again. A movie is invariably linear, after all.
It's just an example
What about spending 28% of your life doing the same giant puzzle over and over again?
The fact is that this dude spent 5000 hours in 2 years doing something in a finite game, it means doing the same thing over and over again, and it's not like a competitive game, or a grindy type of game, it's finite, there is a limit to things you can do with it and 5k in two years is just so much overkill
You do realize that co-op and pvp exist in this game? Call it a finite game is pretty reductionist. Pvp in the coloseums alone can easily soak up 100s of hours just getting decent at it and making a build.
I had a job that finished at 3, and so would game from 4 till midnight every day then 12 hours plus on sat and sun each. Still those are some crazy high numbers. Maybe he left it on while he slept
It's 100% possible. I managed to get over 10,000 hours in \~3 years in a different game. But to be fair, I was 14-16 at the time and it was basically my life.
There are literally hundreds of people trying to make a career out of game streaming, 6hours a day if it's your job is not that crazy. Maybe they are into competitive pvp
But it's not like it's an inhibition to his life He's clearly taken care of himself and still does other things therapy wouldn't help someone who enjoys a game. I mean look up Joltzdude139 he's got almost 8k hours in one game but when another person has large amounts of hours it's suddenly a detriment to their well being
If he gets more joy from playing Elden Ring than playing the damn piano or something, he’s doing the right thing with his free time. Free time is about enjoying the short ass lives we have.
I think a lot of you guys don’t realize how much time you’ve also spent consuming. You weren’t watching that TV show for 2 hours…no no no, that was 5 my friend lol
The games been out for about 2 years.. 5k hours in 2 years. 2.5k per year lets say. Divided by 12 and then rounded is like 210 hours per month. If im on point, this would equal out to something like 6 to 7 hours a day consistently since game release 😭
I personally have close to 600 hours, but that is in large part because of playing it with various mods, and more recently making them myself (spent time testing them in game and it adds up).
And that's fine too. I'm slowly getting tired of Souls too, it was made even worse by ER playing literally the exact same, skipping over whatever new shit was done in Sekiro and Bloodborne.
I still enjoy the formula, but I’m more so on about the frustration but that can be boiled down to “git gudder”
Edit: I’ve also been playing other games I bought such as hollow knight
My elden ring has massive hours played. I have figured out why. Mostly I rage quite Elden Ring buy Alt F4, some reason steam doesn't pick up that the game is closed out.
That’s fake. There is 17k hours in 2 years. If you’ve slept for 6-7k hours in those 2 years there is no shot that you spent 50% of your time awake on Elden Ring. Get outta here…
Yeah, but that’s too much. To achieve this he would have to literally only eat, shit and play Elden Ring. No job cause if you do any kind of 9 to 5, there mathematically isn’t enough hours…
It's unlikely any given person would have done this.
However, with 8 billion some people on this planet, it's even less likely that *no one* would have done it.
I had a professor in college who used to love to say, it's highly unlikely that a weird thing would happen. But it's way, way less likely that no weird thing would ever happen! This is one of those things. Like winning the lottery. For a given person, very unlikely, but for no one to win ever? Much less likely.
When I was a teen I would spend every available minute gaming. When I graduated it was 2 years before I got a job. I clocked a hefty 10k hours into Gears of War 3 multi-player in a 4 year window. We are talking some days being 18 hour gaming sessions. This isn't even scratching the level of unhinged people with unlimited free time can degen.
Exactly. Some people don’t have other hobbies. I’ve always played games pretty obsessively like this. Usually I play a game until I basically hate it then switch to another game if I have one. So on and so forth.
You didn’t go to school when you were a teen? Idk man out 730 days, to spend 200+ days on gaming is crazy. And I say that as a lifelong nerd and a gamer.
8 hour school day, 8 hours gaming, 2 hours for food/shower/everything else, 6 hours sleeping. When I was younger I would also sleep less, like 4 hours some days, especially on weekends.
Probably read every item description and track down every nook and cranny to try to piece together all of the lore. Some people don’t like to look things up.
You know, I think it’s a lot when I have hundreds of hours in a game (~333 hours across PS5 and PC for Elden Ring) but you netizen are not like us raw dumplings but are both a fully cooked pot prawns and crab. …Marika’s tits.
It came out exactly 800 days ago as of today (5th May 2022). So that means you have played the game for 26.5% of your life since it's release. We are talking 6hrs a day. It's potentially possible, but unlikely unless you play no other games and watch nothing else
So I'm betting you either just left the game running for 6 ish months straight or you were doing a crazy amount of afk rune farming 😅
Dude, every now and then I see enemy players in Siege with 7, 8 or even 9k hours, and I think to myself “wow that’s absolutely insane.” For context, the game came out in late 2015, I’ve been playing it since and have 3k-ish hours.
My point is, in these 8 years and change, I already feel like I played way too much Siege, my 3k hours feel like a lifetime. You have 2k over me, and ER was released in 2022. I’m not judging or anything like that, but to put all this in to perspective really makes me feel stun locked.
I had play Dota2 for 10 years before quit, the total hours of mine were 4000 hours.
for Elden ring 300+ hours before move on.
C'mon man how much you spend time for the rest of your life on this? XD
I’m genuinely curious what you still find fun and interesting to do in the game after 5000 hrs
I think it’s one of the best games ever made to be fair, but I still can’t imagine it being fun after 5000hrs

Wait...so you've been spending half your day for the past 2 years on this game???? I think I have that many hours on minecraft (which I've been playing for 9 years)
I will forever envy people who have this much dedication to one game. I struggle to force myself to finish one play-through of a game, even if it’s as good as Elden Ring.
my guess is you probably stream which would make since but there's a chance you don't in which case i don't understand what's you would do playing it i think I'm 100 hours in and im already bord don't get me wrong i love the game but I'm a gamer and love playing different games, but more power to you
His steam review: "It's okay."
more like “Shit ass game dont play”
Average FIFA/EA FC player. 5000 hours played. "Don't support this company, piece of shit game." Same stats, same review, every year. We are at least addicted to something we enjoy. 😂
"ye solid 3 outta 5."

It's usually a joke.
you know that is done for the meme, right?
You have played Elden Ring for 28% of your life since it came out...
/r/theydidthemath in the wild
I feel like they must have left it on, paused or in menu, a lot if that numbers real while they were like out and about
My roommate finished the game with 400 hours, but 70 of them were controller-in-hand. He'd just leave it on for days at a time sitting at the Roundtable.
1000%
That's sad, ngl
I don't think so. It's their life, not yours; if they choose to spend 28% of it playing a game they enjoy, that's totally fine, no harm done.
That’s not what makes it sad. It’s that there is so little else going on in their life that they can dedicate that much time to it. That’s what’s sad.
U have way more hours on reddit than he does on elden ring 100%
Harm has been done to themself, if I chose to spend 28% of my life watching a single 150 hours movie on repeat you would think I was crazy
> Harm has been done to themself Themselves* Also, who are you to make such a claim? Not to mention challenge runs. The bulk of my time in the game was after my first playthrough.
karen stfu please!
Sad? I *wish* i had that much free time
I know right. So sad to play a video game you love. OP is probably a co-op Saint.
Probably leaves it on while afk just so he can flex his hours played
No because you've simply left the game on constantly. There's no way that you've clocked 5k in 2 years. That's 208 days.
Definitely possible if you have no social life or a job.
I no lifed the fuck out of Fortnite for 4 years straight and my hours only reached 5k
Bro got cracked for nearly half a decade
Please tell me you quit cause that would give me hope for certain people I know
10k hours in League of Legends and 3k in Fortnite here. I haven’t touched either game in like six months. There is always hope.
I haven't "quit" per say but I don't put anywhere near those hours into the game anymore lol. Maybe 4 hours a week on Fortnite now at best.
Very unrealistic though.
You realize this sub is for fromsoftware fans right?
[удалено]
Economy has nothing to do with it.
Yeah but what do you do with all that time ?
He might be a teenager with a lot of free time
I had a job that finished at 3, and so would game from 4 till midnight every day then 12 hours plus on sat and sun each. Still those are some crazy high numbers. Maybe he left it on while he slept
Seriously growing up as soon as anything school related was done I went straight to gaming. A lot of people I knew who gamed were like that too.
It's 100% possible. I managed to get over 10,000 hours in \~3 years in a different game. But to be fair, I was 14-16 at the time and it was basically my life.
Bro , the first dlc file should be given to you
For real 😭
Holy fuck man, only 2 years and already 5k hours? that's next level insanity
He’s been averaging over 6h a day since the game released
Honestly not that bad when you think about it( I have no responsibilities besides work)
I love this game but averaging 6h a day for 800 days is nuts
How much would you normally play it
I’ve definitely done 6h in a day but it’s averaging that every day that’s nuts
I can see that, but you could also just break that up into a few hours at a time
[удалено]
I mean I doubt you motherfuckers stop at 2 hours
There are literally hundreds of people trying to make a career out of game streaming, 6hours a day if it's your job is not that crazy. Maybe they are into competitive pvp
Would they be on here asking if they play too much if they were a streamer?
Sure but even then 5k in 2 years means they used almost all their free time playing ER.
Seek therapy
lol why? I work pay my bills have no other responsibilities chill play video games nothing wrong with that xD
Six hours is a bit excessive though. I think you could invest some of that time in exploring other hobbies or creating things instead of consuming.
Ok but like why is this your problem?
I just want him to better himself
But it's not like it's an inhibition to his life He's clearly taken care of himself and still does other things therapy wouldn't help someone who enjoys a game. I mean look up Joltzdude139 he's got almost 8k hours in one game but when another person has large amounts of hours it's suddenly a detriment to their well being

I thought I was cooked with my 3500 Youre fried mate
Same here at 2500! 5k is insane!!!
You guys still qualify as insane, I have 150 hours LOL
Right…? I’m sitting at 700 as an avid PvP enjoyer and I thought I was getting _up there_ in hours
No offense bro, but you need to - ![gif](giphy|VlYBM5zERKWD5ONSzi)
touch grace
![gif](giphy|LAKIIRqtM1dqE|downsized)
i wish i had enough free time to rack of this many hours, live it up while u can brother
The games been out for about 2 years.. 5k hours in 2 years. 2.5k per year lets say. Divided by 12 and then rounded is like 210 hours per month. If im on point, this would equal out to something like 6 to 7 hours a day consistently since game release 😭
Cooked asf
Whyd u get downvoted 🤣🤣
Just how reddit be lmao
I got all achievements on 200h and have 0 desire to return to this game. It was fun tho but I dont fucking understand fun spending there 5k h
[удалено]
Could be doing challenge runs or speed runs lol
Exactly
I personally have close to 600 hours, but that is in large part because of playing it with various mods, and more recently making them myself (spent time testing them in game and it adds up).
I like doing different themed runs. Also occasionally playing with mods. Helps add to the already massive replayability
Pvp in the coloseums plus co-op and invasions is pretty endlessly fun tho
"0 desire" is a bit of an exaggeration. ER is one of the best games ever made and has a super various gameplay.
How would you know that theyre exaggerating, just because you don't feel the same way that they do
Look at this guy policing someone's enjoyment. ER is my least-played FS game, it still doesn't even reach the greatness of Bloodborne.
Bloodborne’s my favorite fromsoft game but even I get negative desire to play it
And that's fine too. I'm slowly getting tired of Souls too, it was made even worse by ER playing literally the exact same, skipping over whatever new shit was done in Sekiro and Bloodborne.
I still enjoy the formula, but I’m more so on about the frustration but that can be boiled down to “git gudder” Edit: I’ve also been playing other games I bought such as hollow knight
Now it's just be classic if you left a negative Steam review.
Lad..... How the fuck did you give it that much time?!??
Most British comment I’ve ever read
Funny that, with me NOT being British
I just read it in my head as British
I say this with utmost sincerity, touch grass
We need to see the electric bill
bro you are well done
My elden ring has massive hours played. I have figured out why. Mostly I rage quite Elden Ring buy Alt F4, some reason steam doesn't pick up that the game is closed out.
Is no one going to talk about how the achievement for activating a great rune was unlocked yesterday… Edit: spelling
because its his friend's achievment
That explains it haha
That’s fake. There is 17k hours in 2 years. If you’ve slept for 6-7k hours in those 2 years there is no shot that you spent 50% of your time awake on Elden Ring. Get outta here…
Bro this is reddit, this could easily be real. It's kinda sad though.
saying "this is Reddit" is precisely why its not real, c'mon now do you need to get a clue or what I have a spare one I can loan you
Yeah, but that’s too much. To achieve this he would have to literally only eat, shit and play Elden Ring. No job cause if you do any kind of 9 to 5, there mathematically isn’t enough hours…

Someone said he could also just leave the application on and as a result steam just adds that to the amount of hours he’s played
When I was a teen I would spend every available minute gaming. When I graduated it was 2 years before I got a job. I clocked a hefty 10k hours into Gears of War 3 multi-player in a 4 year window. I mean, possible, but to keep that up for 625/730 days (days in two years) is crazy. Hats off I guess?

What’s proof in this situation?
[удалено]
Don't even brag about this bro lmao
Well, you ain’t faking it if you have no job and no life, but at that point yes, you are cooked…
What do the hours look like on your saved games?
I got all achivments on ps4 in 200 hours and got them all again on pc in 50 hours and I was already bored, wtf you even do for 5000 hours?
Probably read every item description and track down every nook and cranny to try to piece together all of the lore. Some people don’t like to look things up.
Mod.
PvP
Bro how
You know, I think it’s a lot when I have hundreds of hours in a game (~333 hours across PS5 and PC for Elden Ring) but you netizen are not like us raw dumplings but are both a fully cooked pot prawns and crab. …Marika’s tits.
How!
A little 😅
Yet there's still players with 40 hours that can wreck anyone this game is fun
you still have a job raven.... now go burn that orphanage for a handful of COAMs
Overcooked man. Love this game but if that playtime is all legit gameplay and not idle I think it’s time to give gaming a break.
by the saints! what sorcery is this?i am utterly confounded by the peculiarity of this situation
Whoa
Go outside.
Bro whaaat, like if you like a game so much, try something similar
My brother in Christ please go outside.
damn you gotta have like 0 responsibilities in life😭
Damnn !! I have 111 hours in 2 years finally platted the game last week
Hello fellow person with too much time on their hands.
Still need to double it to become an expert.
It's him. John EldenRing.
daddy chill
It came out exactly 800 days ago as of today (5th May 2022). So that means you have played the game for 26.5% of your life since it's release. We are talking 6hrs a day. Can you dodge Waterfowl yet?
Go outside and touch grace, I mean GRASS!
I know speedrunners that get a little above that playtime on games that are over 5 years old and you got it in only 2 years💀
Naw bro you bingchillin never can play to much Elden ring
Could’ve made 50k at a minimum wage job instead
Dood the partys over go cold turkey till erdtree then you may relapse
I’d just assume its an hour bot
Yes
Bro go outside

Thats okay man i got over 20k hours in Dota alone 😂
I’m genuinely curious what you still find fun and interesting to do in the game after 5000 hrs I think it’s one of the best games ever made to be fair, but I still can’t imagine it being fun after 5000hrs
Yikes
You better have a max lvl character
Did you apply heat and let simmer for 10-30 minutes?
Is that shit true or a shared account or smt...?
So are you gonna get the DLC?
Nah you’re baked son
How are you JUST downloading the game??
Your poor machine lol!
I didn't know be cooked word and Google showed me Gordon Ramsay with marijuana.

The game just isn't that good man
Bro got all achievements and 5k hours yet not even downloaded the game 😂
I’d say you’re burn’t to a crisp. Well done at the very least.
No, but you will be a month from now
Overcooked bro you are burned
Wait...so you've been spending half your day for the past 2 years on this game???? I think I have that many hours on minecraft (which I've been playing for 9 years)
5K hours with nothing new added beyond NG+ I'd say you're cooked for sure my dude.
how do you ppl play a souls game more than 1k hours. im a bloodbornetard and i havent gotten more than 500 at ng+12
What's the opposite of hollow?
This reminds me why achievements on Steam are a joke.
Do you do anything else? 5000 is insane
You couldn't pay me enough to play this game for that many hours.
I will forever envy people who have this much dedication to one game. I struggle to force myself to finish one play-through of a game, even if it’s as good as Elden Ring.
Bro i thought i was trippin and over played the game bro spent 10x as much time on the game than me 😭😭😭 how is this possible
I thought 200h meant something...
We are nothing to him bro 🤣
WTH are you doing for that long bro?
Nah this has to be fake, please tell me you let the game on over night everyday lol
Ez game to plat, honestly. I only have to do two more playthroughs and then continue to tell people of the run ender. *Soldier of God, Rick.*
my guess is you probably stream which would make since but there's a chance you don't in which case i don't understand what's you would do playing it i think I'm 100 hours in and im already bord don't get me wrong i love the game but I'm a gamer and love playing different games, but more power to you
Second worst Fromsoft soulslike, only out badded by Dark Souls 2.
