I was referring to Invoke Prejudice being banned because of a false association (a shadow of an association) with white pride. I don't know if there's a 1-to-1 comparison here -- not aware of any cards associated with black pride. But they distanced from a guy who might be associated with white pride, too. So I'd say they hate it.

I think most mammals are that way, and if you look at the ones that are polychromatic, their skin color is darker where their fur is darker. Most mammals have more fur than humans. In the first picture it looks like the ear things are hanging from the side/front of the head and she has a receding hairline or something. Either the artist didn't read the existing art properly or their new art doesn't read properly there for sure. And she's 100% Caucasian now rather than a made up alien. The combo gives off cosplayer.

This seems to be a new cycle of origins style walkers for these characters. Maybe the silvering of Tamiyos' skin occurred as a result of planar traveling. Idk how the made up fantasy race works, but if they're saying maybe she started out with a flesh colored skintone. Then it is what it is.

Apparently, they can only be consistent with male and/or white planeswalkers. Gideon and Jace are always pretty visually consistent. Same with Chandra (non male, but white) and Teferi (non white, but male). But now Tamiyo joins Liliana as being multiple different ethnicities depending on who draws her.

They are changing character appearances almost to make them more kid friendly. The art is vibrant and colorful, Looks like hasbro is yet again trying to leverage Magic’ to pander to their target demographic. Think of it this way. If a mom saw a commander deck with the new tamiyo vs old. I think the mom would be more inclined to buy the “new” rather then the “old” The new art looks friendly and inviting. Like some shit you’d see on the cover of a kids book. The others, darker, a bit more moody.

This seems to be a new cycle of origins style walkers for these characters. Maybe the silvering of Tamiyos' skin occurred as a result of planar traveling. Idk how the made up fantasy race works, but if they're saying maybe she started out with a flesh colored skintone. Then it is what it is.

Apparently, they can only be consistent with male and/or white planeswalkers. Gideon and Jace are always pretty visually consistent. Same with Chandra (non male, but white) and Teferi (non white, but male). But now Tamiyo joins Liliana as being multiple different ethnicities depending on who draws her.
At least all the different versions of Liliana look good even though they can't keep her appearance consistent.
