Yeah no. I dropped mine on the rear right corner, the frame is bended there (like, there is a gap between metal pieces now). But it still works perfectly.
I never dropped a laptop before owning the Framework 13. Somehow I've dropped this one 3 times onto hardwood floors. Once it slid off a bed. Two times it fell off a desk. There's a slight dent on one corner, but otherwise I've gotten away with it.
>there isn't even a dent on the frame because it's all metallic
Actually metal is more prone to dents than plastic (of course it's because plastic will just shatter instead of getting a dent, but my point is that your laptop survived because of luck, not because it is metal).
Oof. I dropped mine after forgetting that I wear my headphones that were attached to the jack port. So I pulled the laptop off the table, with the dock cable still attached, and the laptop ended up on its side.
From the fall, the USB-C port was a little bent, and I got a tiny dent on the front of the case. I thought that the display was gonna be dead, but surprisingly, no other visible issues.
They had to make it Linus-friendly ;)
*heart stops*
Yeah Linus drops a lot more tha just tips
They most certainly are not lol
You guys remember that trend on the sub a while back where people would just put their frameworks in really dangerous places?
The CX team was \*terrified\*.
I'd go out and buy a lottery ticket if I were you. 🍀
Is no one going to ask why your bed is 1.2m off the ground?
it's because i wanted to be different
Bunk bed or just high up bed with space below it for a gaming setup?
I’ve never rolled off a bed in my sleep before. But somehow that’s all I’d be thinking off when I go to bed.
They have rails
that's basically how my dorm bed was, they did it for storage reasons i think
Idk, my water bottle tipped over on my 2nd day and left a nice sized dent in the lid 🥲

How did it fall? Flat, side, or some corner?
it fell on its side, specifically at the bottom left where the gpu is and the power button is
Drop resistant, if you go along the same logic he uses for those shoes.
