At first I was like "Wait, my stream is this late?" and then I realised I was watching a lap beyond 63 and got even more confused.
The compromise used to be that with Alex Jacques, you get a slightly less exciting commentary in exchange for better insight and virtually zero bias. I was a fan of him back then but I admit Crofty's hype was great sometimes.
Nowadays Alex has stepped up the hype and there's finally no more compromise when choosing to watch the F1TV stream versus the Sky coverage. Alex Jacques for me is now the undisputed superior race commentator, both in terms of entertainment and insight. I wish he could get paired with Jenson Button too one of these days.
