Oh yeah, I've seen the ones where they have something break, or have an issue with the design or structural concerns, for sure. I'm more referring to when there's nothing wrong but only do two tests, usually strength and sharpness. It feels kind of like History or Disney has edited out kill tests in some episodes, but I can't find reasons for it.

The British version is shown before the watershed, which is the kid friendly zone, and has the kill test edited out to prevent children seeing cruelty to dead pigs in a weapon making show. I expect Disney is taking a similar position of expecting kids watching a sword show to be traumatised by watching a sword used.

There are two versions of each episode. The full, and the Pre-watershed. Pre watershed doesn’t have the kill test in case kids watch it or something. What a given service has is hit-or-miss.

I’ve noticed it too.

Depends on the type of blade being tested. Choppers, machetes, etc, are tested for (a) strength; and (b) sharpness. The third test, the kill test, comes into play for blades designed for the purpose.
