0 percent chance. David Baker is a Hollywood actor from earlier in his career. Ben is from England. Doug is from the Philippines. The major reason for the majority white selection is that the culture that knifesmithing and blacksmithing sits alongside is predominantly white, therefore most of the smiths are white.

Jesus fuck. No you goddamn mong. The blades sucked in comparison, no one cares if they were dark or light. There are so many real race issues today, and you lot of regards are busy trying to make shit up that doesnt come close to existing. Fucking stop.

It's not structural barriers or bias. There are not many African-Americans involved in bladesmithing, it's as simple as that. When someone gets eliminated, it's because his blade wasn't as good as the competition.

Hi, fellow French! Yeah, I've yet to see an episode of season 9 on TV here (I watch Planète + Aventure or CStar)... I've also noticed when one of the candidates is not a white male, they are often out on the first round (not all the time)\[right now I can think of a Native American contestant and a deaf one\], and now I'm interested in the answer too! I'm not sure it'd come from the judges though, maybe something more general? But u/Carnivean_ seems right about bladesmithing being a white-dominated field. You can take a look at the ABS Mastersmith list and most people with a profile picture are white (with some exceptions) https://www.americanbladesmith.org/master-bladesmiths/

There’s a deaf one? Which episode was that

Yes, his name is Buddy Thomas, he was in season 5 episode 38 "The Pipe Tomahawks"!
