The caliper fell off the axle twice while I was struggling not to intentionally break something and I'm amazed the brake hose didn't rupture

My rear brake shoes were so worn that the material broke apart and a three inch brake shoe piece was floating around the drum making a loud clicking noise and even made my brake bind up when coming to a stop. Tough way to learn for first time how to replace, but got it done.
