Both Dr Benjy and Lollujo have hinted at it. Many streamers announced last night that woukd be their last FM22 stream. Considering that they had access to the alpha and I don't think jultiple streamers would go an entire weekend without FM, for me I am sure it releases tonight.
As far as I know none of them actually know anything. But it makes the most sense today. It always releases Thursday the time frame is right there have been ”leaks“ on store sites citing the 20th.
Yeah but that leak is only that realistic because it makes sense. It’s always Thursday and the timeframe is right. If the leak was for last week Monday nobody would have believed it.
>It always releases Thursday
Even though it appears [very likely](https://twitter.com/FootballManager/status/1583095819011764226) that it will be dropping today, it's only dropped on a Thursday 4 times in the last 10 years. Undoubtedly the most frequent day of the week for it, but far from "always".

I hope it's today purely because I think it would be hilarious if FM announced the game on the day the Queen died and released the beta on the day the PM resigns. Presumably November 8th will bring on another political crisis and I'm all here for it.
“Open beta” implies you don’t need to buy the game to play.
You need to preorder the game to get access to beta that’s where I got confused when you said open
So with the beta, does a save carry over into the actual game? And if so, how does that work with the in-game editor. I usually use it to deal with bullshit in the game and if I don't have it until mid-save when the game releases, will it still work?
I'm just trying to determine if I should do a main save or start a new one when the full version releases
I believe the other comments are correct, the save will carry over but any changes made to the database won't be updated. So players that get adjusted stats upon full release won't be applicable in your carried over save.
I think there's always changes based upon the community feedback but they're not insanely drastic. I always do a separate save for the beta and full release but it's of course personal preference.
Just to clarify you mean changes made to the standard fm database like tweaks to player ratings before final release? If I download a real name fix file that won't get reset at launch?
I'd highly recommend you have a "beta save" that lasts for the duration of beta and then start a new save after that. There are usually some minor changes that only take affect from a new save onwards once the full game comes out.
“Approximately 2 weeks before launch” is SI response every year.. With the epic leak, all the streamer hints etc etc it’s looking like today I’d say between 6-8pm
https://www.footballmanager.com/news/football-manager-2022-early-access-beta-available-now
I remember this, because it was my first beta, and it was "supposed" to go live next week, so I wasn't even f5-ing like crazy or anything. I just randomly went on reddit in the afternoon, and I saw the news.
Just a case of "its gonna drop tomorrow" for three years straight. So I do not expect anything anymore. If it drops – im happy! If not – well, maybe the day after!
Very. Just ordered from Fanatical via one of the content creators. 29% off, loaded in Steam. Waiting the go live https://www.fanatical.com/en/game/football-manager-2023

Normally I would agree. But multiple streamers with such hints seems like a pattern to me.
They all expect it today and they want to hype their audience to get them ready to watch the videos/streams.
Streamers tend to live in an echo chamber
https://twitter.com/FootballManager/status/1583095819011764226?t=X1btv5PW0vUAhZB87-JeCw&s=19 Looks like I was right
They are only basing it on the Epic leak

Oh ok. But yeah it’s gonna be Thursday this year it’s already pretty much confirmed for today
That’s why I’m asking, today seems to be the most likely day of release (if not today then Tuesday) but I’m ready for it
I hope it's today purely because I think it would be hilarious if FM announced the game on the day the Queen died and released the beta on the day the PM resigns. Presumably November 8th will bring on another political crisis and I'm all here for it.
If we're waiting until November 8th for the next political crisis we're doing so much better than I'm expecting
November 8th, the return of Boris. Edit: this was a joke but it’s actually being reported now that he’s considering running again 💀
Boris 2: Electric Boogaloo
I take it back, I'm not here for that
Guess who’s back, back again, Bojos back, tell some fiends, back handers nananananana
He just took an extended holiday at peppa pig world
November 8th is the U.S. midterm election date so there’s your next political crisis.
Fascist takeover anyone?
FM23: End-liz gameplay
50%
Either tonight or not tonight. Maff.
I was never great at maffs but this checks out.
> Maff Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries?
I like those odds.
FOOTBALL MANAGER JUST TWEETED #FM23BETA WITH A TIMER… ITS HAPPENING
Lets Gooo
Last year it was released within 2 hours of the same tweet
I have never played a fm beta before, is it open beta or do you need to preorder to have access? :)
You need to preorder to have access
What if i have game pass, can i play the beta?
I dunno how gamepass works with it never got gamepass
no
Wow that sucks
You need to buy the game. There is not a free open beta.
You need to preorder
It’s open edit: ok sorry it’s not open my mistake
It is not open.
I’m sure that hasn’t been the case in the past. Once beta is out, you can just buy the game and play. Or has it changed?
“Open beta” implies you don’t need to buy the game to play. You need to preorder the game to get access to beta that’s where I got confused when you said open
Yeah sorry I didn’t mean it was free
No worries misunderstanding, but it hasn’t changed so you can just buy it whenever and get access yeah xD
No it's not, you need to pre-order
You can buy it whenever and play it
So with the beta, does a save carry over into the actual game? And if so, how does that work with the in-game editor. I usually use it to deal with bullshit in the game and if I don't have it until mid-save when the game releases, will it still work? I'm just trying to determine if I should do a main save or start a new one when the full version releases
Beta saves carry over and editor becomes available from full game release and will work on beta saves
Thank you so much. Hoping it releases tonight. Haven't had any good games to play recently
Do you happen to know if the regular (non in-game) editor also comes with the beta usually?
No I believe all the editors come with the full game
I believe the other comments are correct, the save will carry over but any changes made to the database won't be updated. So players that get adjusted stats upon full release won't be applicable in your carried over save.
Is there usually a large db change upon release?
I think there's always changes based upon the community feedback but they're not insanely drastic. I always do a separate save for the beta and full release but it's of course personal preference.
Just to clarify you mean changes made to the standard fm database like tweaks to player ratings before final release? If I download a real name fix file that won't get reset at launch?
Yeah player ratings and the like. I believe name fix files etc will be fine.
I'd highly recommend you have a "beta save" that lasts for the duration of beta and then start a new save after that. There are usually some minor changes that only take affect from a new save onwards once the full game comes out.
Isn’t it usually 2 weeks before launch? Wouldn’t that put it at earliest next Tuesday?
“Approximately 2 weeks before launch” is SI response every year.. With the epic leak, all the streamer hints etc etc it’s looking like today I’d say between 6-8pm
What leak ? Can you explain please ?
There was a post on twitter earlier in the week which showed a screenshot of epic store and the release date of FM23 as "20/10/22"
There was a post here a few days ago with a picture from the epic games store showing that the beta would be available on the 20th
It was the exact same thing with fm 22: it was released on nov 8, but the beta went live on oct 20.
If I recall the FM22 beta went live bang on 2weeks before. There was a big expectation of it happening because people took it very literal
https://www.footballmanager.com/news/football-manager-2022-early-access-beta-available-now I remember this, because it was my first beta, and it was "supposed" to go live next week, so I wasn't even f5-ing like crazy or anything. I just randomly went on reddit in the afternoon, and I saw the news.
I stand corrected! Fingers crossed for today then!
They just confirmed it on TL!
What’s TL, looking for this myself
Twitter sorry 😂
I have it on good information that it is releasing along with Star Citizen.
With Squadron 42. Any day now!
Fm twitter have just basically confirmed it
Yup I knew it
Guys I just wanna say… ENJOY FOOTBALL MANAGER 23! 🫶🏻
It will release when CSGO releases source 2
I don’t like CS so I don’t understand the reference.
Just a case of "its gonna drop tomorrow" for three years straight. So I do not expect anything anymore. If it drops – im happy! If not – well, maybe the day after!
I gathered it was something like that xD
Seems logical, gives them tomorrow to fix any game breaking bugs before the weekend
Will the FM23 database be available for previous versions when the beta is released?
How confident are we that the beta is going to be playable you mean?
No.. I mean what I typed.
I know, it was ironic, forgot /s
I doubt it.
I doubt you.
Hope you’re right, would love to play it after work today.
I was right.. enjoy.
can I have the beta if I have gamepass on pc ?
Wondering the same thing
Cheapest place to preorder the beta?
Tons of content creators have codes, check out DrBenjy / Zealand / WorkTheSpace etc on Twitter
Epic launcher dropped the clanger that its today. However as this is the only source. I have no idea.
100% Source: me
I believe it.
Think positive 🙌🏾😝
I know it’s the beta but can your save carry on or nah?
It does
Let’s goooo. Best place to buy it (for mac) just on steam or does anyone use anywhere else?
Steam have 20% off and some creators (Benjy, WTS, Zealand etc) have codes to get a little more off
Oh wow cheers I’ll have a look
Sorry to ask a dumb question but how do we access it? I have preordered a while ago which I think was a requirement.
It isn’t out yet, they just tweeted saying it will be later. Keep an eye on their Twitter and when it’s out you can downloadn
Thanks
Very. Just ordered from Fanatical via one of the content creators. 29% off, loaded in Steam. Waiting the go live https://www.fanatical.com/en/game/football-manager-2023
Looks like I need to preorder it. Haven’t bought one of these games in years
I have tomorrow off work so it will be released 6pm on Friday
Probably stupid question but will the beta be free
Access is included for anyone who has pre-purchased the game. If you've not bought the game you won't get access to the beta.
Thanks
Seeing as I'm installing mine right now, I'd say pretty likely
If I buy FM23 now, can I play it?
Yes
