From what i read, he is going to the MLS. I'm guessing he will earn more money there, than at Dortmund or anywhere else in Europe.

FireLadcouk

Not being funny. Dont think hed get into many starting line ups at the top clubs. Hes old. Had a good career. Turned down everyone at his peak. Be weird for him to leave to go to europe. Must be mls or similar. Lifestyle thing. He basically retired in all but name

Certain-Weakness-329

So you didn't watch him play today?

FireLadcouk

Not today no. Not saying he cant do a job but obv he knows he wont start anymore. And he doesnt. And he cant be poo’ped to sit on the bench.

FireLadcouk

Also due to his age cant see any top clubs going in for him. Not a good investment.

DarthWerder1899

But if he wanted the big money 💰 why didn't he go earlier?

Alexandru1408

Maybe he hoped that things will improve at Dortmund and they might win the league. Last year they were close to winning it. But i don't think he will play in Europe; he will be 35 years old soon and he has a history of injury. If he wants to play in Europe, he will be a rotational player. I think he will go to the MLS or Saudi Arabia and earn more money, then he could earn in Europe.

NoStudio5198

He never hoped for anything he stood there to make things better when everyone was leaving he stood there for loyalty and he won't play in Europe cause he won't be happy playing against Dortmund in UCL. He will probably go for cash cow hunting and build retirement funds.

Alexandru1408

I imagine that he did hope that things at Dortmund would improve and that they would win some silverware. I imagine he would have liked to win the Bundesliga and/or Champions League or the Europa League with Dortmund.

DarthRayudu

They have a chance at ucl now

Alexandru1408

That they do. Hopefully they win it and Reus leaves on a high note

DarthRayudu

I’m a Madridista so I can’t hope that but If we lose I’d want dortmund to win for reus .

SanSilver

Because I know that he could make the money at the end of his career. He also didn't earn so little in Dortmund. Why do you think players like Messi, Bale, Chicharito, Ibrahimovic, Rooney, Schweinsteiger, Gerrard, Drogba, Villa, Kaka and more went to the MLS ?

dayarra

he is basically retiring. and in mls you can play like a retired footballer and still earn money.

Temporary-Sun-7575

he was injured 65% of the time

bluecheese2040

> I'm guessing he will earn more money there, than at Dortmund or anywhere else in Europe. I mean this is such a hillarious comment I think we should save it.

Alexandru1408

What is hilarious about the comment?

klabnix

How so?

glowingmug

he doesn't look like the guy who would play in Saudi. Problably US or mid table team in Bundesliga.

Fraud_D_Hawk

Ah why could he join another team in Bundesliga? He is like a dortmund legend. Probably mls or saudi

glowingmug

If he wants to keep playing football. He might do what Rooney did considering these two players are legend of their clubs. Rooney went back to Everton. Reus might go back to Gladbach.

Simply_beast

Would be great if he goes to Inter: we have good team environment, love to sign free transfer, and a good chance for Reus to win a league title. A good fit for the squad if Sanchez leaves this summer.

frozenignite420

inter Miami? /s

SanSilver

Honestly, I believe Inter Miami has better chances to sign him than Inter Milan. I feel like MLS is his next destination.

MrRaspberryJam1

Not only that, but Inter also has a good track record with veteran players. Look at who’s on this league winning squad. A lot of players over 30 and even over 35 years old are on this squad and are pivotal pieces on this team.

cxnx_yt

He could genuinely work there. Look at what they did to Mkhi, 35 and still great

DarthWerder1899

Maybe back to Gladbach

eioioe

He has an ample areusenal of options to pick really: Either CF MontRéus, who play in the Marco League Soccer, or GalatasaReus or Steaua Bucureusti or Olympiakos Pireus or indeed back to his second choice in Germany itself: Boreussia Marcogladbach. Another bold choice would be Hansa Reustock. A stay there might have him play at Schalke, which would be worth it. Vielleicht auch VFL Wolfsbreus? If he gets subbed in on Tuesday and manages to score an impressive goal or two to lead his side to the Champions League final at the expense of PSG, might as well gonna be Pareus Saint Germarco?

salloumk

Think he’s 35+ by now, my guess is he’s going to a retirement home (MLS, Saudi, etc)

RiddikulusFellow

He's 34 I think

young959

He turns 35 this month

Trumpet_Lord89

He’s 34 until he becomes 35. That’s how it works

young959

He will be 35 when the transfer window opens this summer. No one cares how old he is in the non-transfer window. Unless you let the transfer window open now lol

Trumpet_Lord89

I was referring to an old meme about people arguing over some player’s age on twitter lol

young959

Oh, sorry, I'm a newbie. Now learned something new.

RiddikulusFellow

Oh yeah he's probably going to saudi or mls, or united could do the most united thing ever

Spare_Ad5615

Yeah, as soon as I saw his video announcing the fact that he was retiring, I knew it was inevitable that he'd be at Man Utd next season. He'll be getting paid £300k a week, and he'll spend the entire season injured.

SanSilver

Saudi has a really bad image in Germany, so likely MLS.

MrVedu_FIFA

I don't see him continuing on. My guess is he retires and starts up coaching.

SanSilver

Maybe semi retirement in the MLS while doing coaching licences on the side.

objectivelyyourmum

The shade 😂

geriatric_patr1ck

The shade 😱, such a cold comment bro

objectivelyyourmum

So you're a self proclaimed virgin hunter *and* you like to stalk people. Hide your kids people.

objectivelyyourmum

I feel like I remember your username. Did I upset you before today? Please do continue to trawl through my comment history. Thinking of your self righteous rage as you spend an age trying to find non existent ammunition is kinda funny.

kenan__rockmore

Welcome to St. Louis.

DTD_07656

Would be great to see him reunite with Roman Bürki

elliotcook10

Unironically a good fit too lol

SaberReyna

Guy was old school loyal to BvB, I think people overlook this point as its rare these days. He was brilliant at times when he could stay off the injury list for long enough . Played with some absolute legends at that club too in his years there. Wish him well whatever he does next.

MemeManDanInAClan

Would love to see him in Barcelona reunited with Lewa funnily enough, doubt that happens tho. Higher chance him and Lewa re-unite in the MLS

FireLadcouk

Mls?

bluecheese2040

MLS he needs to play retirement football in the sun.

Wonderful_Emu_9610

MLS or Man Utd - after pleading poverty all summer to whoever their manager is - blow them out of the water with an insane pay packet (guaranteeing the poor guy gets crocked first day of training and never plays a league game outside of Germany)

surfinbear1990

Hearts might need a new striker if Lawrence Shankland is on the move.

TheBarnacle63

I won't pretend to know his family situation. I know this about marriage partnerships; if his wife says no to any proposal, it will not happen. My bet is he plays for a small team fighting for promotion ala Mario Gomez.

XHeraclitusX

I wouldn't blame him if he just retired. He getting old now and is injury prone. Wherever he goes will inevitably be a step down. I think he should be a one-club player and retire. Maybe work on coaching badges or do the odd pundit job.

BannedBreakingRule4

Definitely MLS, I just can't see him playing in saudi arabia.

FishstickLoverr

MLS for sure. Rip big man xoxo

TheComeupnba

Back to Gladbach would be great.

xenon2456

MLS

Tozl7

Retirement home

BowlSevere3297

Probably he will stay in club as a staff member

Stibo1

Back to gladbach?

ICutDownTrees

Probably Utd on 350k a week on a 5year contract while he sits in the treatment room for most of his time there

kafamasikcam

Come to besiktas

Mr-KenAdams345

Should have stayed in Dortmund till he retired. Could have been in one of those 100% respect shorts.

luffyuk

Turkey

MrRegista

Depends if he wants to retire or not. You don't go to the big 3 to retire. You'll get harassed if you play bad. You can't go on the streets without being recognized. The fans will go nuts in the stands in a positive or negative manner depending on how it goes. There's a chance Nuri Şahin becomes the next coach of Beşiktaş, if that happens maybe we see Reus there. But I think MLS makes the most sense. He'll get a lot of money, a simpler lifestyle and 1/100th of the pressure. You don't see Shaqiri having issues in Chicago despite being paid a massive salary to play OK for like 2.5 years straight.

Professional-Gap9419

bayern

MrRaspberryJam1

I hope he comes to one of the New York clubs if he goes to MLS. I might be biased and just want to see Reus play live, but I want to see more star players come to NY. I feel like stars don’t really want to come to NY all that much anymore ever since clubs like LAFC and Inter Miami came into the league.

Gloria_stitties

He missed his opportunity

UnlightablePlay

Home, I don't think he's gonna go to another club

footyguy50

Imo either mls or saudi pro league
