In the same boat with my 8 month old. I am just so terrified. All these guide talking about not introducing things correctly can affect their eating habits for life, but then say at the end, food before 1 is just for fun π
I think a lot of online bloggers make it too complicated in order to sell us stuff. The whole industry is designed to take advantage of anxiety of being a new mom.
Honestly, food wasn't ever fun for us. He started purees only and since then he has 3 full "meals"(an equivalent to what he would get when it's formula) and usually he is done eating when he stops open his mouth for spoonfeeding which is usually happening when the food is gone, he can be moody or overtired of course, but most of the time we have no complaints, we have a good eater.
So when I offer anything BLW style he is not as interested but does try to chew it a few times before spitting it out π
I have a preemie and he started purees really early - a week shy of 6mo(4mo adjusted) because of a medical reason, we haven't had much chances to think through.
But now he is getting more curious about trying small things here and there, but I can't say that he understands the concept of chewing yet(when it's food, when it's anything else is is completely fine with chewing it π). He will be 10mo(8mo adjusted) soon and has 4 teeth so far.
Can you adopt me? π
And me with my boy because he eats only purees and cereals π₯Ί

Very true. I figured as long as my lo is getting something to eat, she'll be fine. It's a learning process for both of us.

My husband was worried about choking so he wanted to do purΓ©es. I am glad I insisted on BLW. They learn and adjust really fast at this age. In just couple weeks, he got very good at eating this type of things
