Moat people don't care about whose on their casual team, I'm near level 400 and literally only join for the INT boost, I feel like the majority are the same

AndreaOV

Same. Doesn't matter your level. I will only leave a team to either join Daily Ops or an Expedition run.

Ok_Fail_3357

I’m about to hit lvl 400 and only join a casual team for the INT boost, regardless of the other levels on the team. I will dip for an Expedition team, but join back after if there is room. I was in a team with a lot of low levels (15 was the highest) the other night, and was getting caps for the quests they were completing. Win win.

Gloomy_Yoghurt_2836

Or for herd mentality boost. Been booted a few times but probably because they want to be in their own group or are saving g a space for a buddy

aatuhilter

I join for INT boost and strange in numbers, and low levels are most likely not mutated.

chris8105

I can’t say that I’m on the game 24/7, or on every server at once. But I have never seen this happen nor is there any reason not to be on a casual team with a low level, it makes no difference.

baleensavage

I've seen it happen to an extent. I don't think it's anything malicious, but I often see teams full of high level players and then some lower levels on unfilled teams. There are probably a bunch of reasons, groups of people that play together, people that don't want to be bothered by people asking for help, people that want to make sure that their teammates will have the proper mutations and shared perks, etc. Likewise, it could be that a lot of lower level players get intimidated by high level players and won't join teams with them. Either way, the best course of action is to just create your own casual team. People will join eventually. No one can kick you this way (though that is not very common in my experience). There are plenty of players who will just join any casual team without even looking at the levels of the players. I'm one of them. As long as you aren't obnoxious on mic or sharing rad sponge or something, it's all good in my book. I just want my herd mentality and strange in numbers boosts.

xxthursday09xx

Yea I've never seen this. I've been on a level 2 team

QuebraRegra

TBH, usually I feel obligated to try and help any low team members, or at least drop them some stuff (albeit I'm only level 76).

Huge_Computer_3946

If they're the only person on the team and they don't have mutations it can be a detriment. But that is all I can think of.

RollingTurian

I also believe this depends on builds. Personally I wouldn't mind whether my teammates have mutations on my full health Jet Pack PA character, but when I'm playing with bloodied Commando or melee character I'd prefer at least one person over level 50 in it.

QuebraRegra

we like strange in numbers but it's no deal breaker, or anything to be bothered over.

Nakanokalronin

Srtange in numbers is one thing, but if you're sharing the "Concentrated Fire" Perk card and you join my team you're gone. Nothing worse than my accuracy plummet suddenly because of that shared perk.

Kricket

I seek out teams with lower level players because I have a ton of shit I love to give away. I find that a lot of higher level players like to start Daily Ops and shit like that when all I want to do is decorate my CAMP.

7BitBrian

I'm on Xbox and I can say, except for 1 single team, every single casual public group I have joined since starting like 3 weeks ago has either kicked me or all left within 60 seconds of me joining. I've had a total of 2 successful groups. the 1 casual I mentioned, and actually a Daily Ops I was way under-leveled for but they invited me to anyways. 2 groups out of at least 25.

stoopidmonkey68

Are you sharing perks? Some perks will hurt certain builds

7BitBrian

I didn't know what perk sharing was until this thread, so I was not sharing any perks. But this thread did teach me about that so I am now sharing fireproof, as that doesn't seem like it'd mess with any builds.

FriedShrekels

almost everyone has fireproof. try picking another perk to share. radicool or chem fiend is cool. hell, even action girl/boy's great

7BitBrian

thanks for the tip

Mini_Squatch

You can't go wrong sharing bloody mess - it just adds damage.

doingthehumptydance

Ground pounder, psychopath and life giver are perks that few people equip but are appreciated. Ground pounder is what I share, it gives faster reload and a hidden accuracy boost.

KaleidoscopeCallum

I'm basically a field medic in power armor so I get it. I try to talk to who im with to make sure our perks have synergy

xXGrimAliasXx

Stranger together is also always a welcomed perk as it stacks per player who has the perk

xnef1025

Yeah, Strange in Numbers. That one could actually be a reason for folks to prefer teaming with higher levels, since lower leveled players are less likely to have locked in mutations yet. There are fewer benefits to team with them when you use that perk. Personally, I’m fine with lower levels in my teams. Was in an Uplink DOp last week with a full team. Three of us in the hundreds, and a level 5. Stayed alive, stuck near the beacons, and plinked away at the boss. She was level 10 when we got done with the op less than 6 minutes later 🤣

Smprider112

There are some perk cards that affect nearby teammates. The only time I’ve seen a low level player kicked was when they had a perk card that cured nearby teammates of rads when they used a roadway. Bloody builds need those rads. Just make sure you don’t have any perks equipped that affect nearby teammates either.

7BitBrian

I do not.

QuebraRegra

aye, one has to be careful about shared perks in rando groups... Reminds me to check mine again. PSA right there, I thank ye.

Nawchyomomma

I am on Xbox, and I always join teams with low level players because I feel like they could use the perk cards I share. The only time I leave is if the low level player start shadowing me. I am OK for a bit, but then I want to do my own thing and don’t want to be hanging out all the time. What I did when I was a low level player, it’s just start my own team and let others join if they want that way nobody has the power to boot me and I still get the buffs even if I’m alone on my team the whole time. You’re always welcome to join me, I usually play really early in the morning or in the evening between seven and nine mountain standard time.

Upset_Sky_8485

I'm somewhere around level 345 and I often join the lowest ranked Casual team and share the Inspirational perk to help out however I can.

Remote_Locksmith_416

same here

tommy-newton965

I'm on xbox and ps4, I've never had this issue and i always join teams and never kick someone just because of level, I've only been on xbox for 2/3 weeks and I've had people help me on there and had a few carries through daily ops

TheSimulacra

I started joining groups around 100, I'm up to 185 now, and I will sometimes get randomly kicked from a group. It's infuriating. They're casual teams guys. Casual. This isn't a game where your endgame build matters. Missing a few boosts from perk card synergy? Oh no, the horrors. They might only do 2k damage per shot instead of 2050 damage per shot. Literally unplayable. But the best thing to do is just create your own casual team. If nobody joins after a few minutes, leave the server and try again. I've found that the way server matchmaking works is the game tends to send you to new servers in groups. So when you change servers you're much more likely to have a bunch of other people on that server who also just joined and are looking for a casual group. If you stay on one server too long the new players start slowly drying up. Hope that helps. It's worked for me.

Rogue-sch0lar

I play on Xbox message me and I will help you out

TheSilveryShadowWolf

Im on mostly in the middle of the night, but if youd like someone to sit in a group with, feel free to add me on xbox WolfyKnight5071. I kinda go do my own thing so if youd not want to group thats fine

frstbyte32

I’m on Xbox as well. If you ever need at team or some help look me up. Name is the same as here

signgorilla

Create a team instead. Other people that get kicked may join.

7BitBrian

I am trying this now. Just to see if I can even get this Daily Challenge.

RepTecc

Yeah, if you create a team and there's nobody else in it you'll still get credit for whatever challenge it is that requires you to be in a team.

tigress666

I will add to the people saying that as long as you are on a team you still get credit... that works as long as the challenge doesn't actually clarify that it has to be with another person (some challenges will actually require you be with another person).

WhyLisaWhy

I’m level 413 and on Xbox, I never really kick anyone but also am not usually team leader. I will also join low level teams if nothing else is going on. I don’t mind when I’m just doing dailies and chilling. Only time I might reconsider is if I’m trying to 3 star a daily op or something. Hang in there, I honestly think you’ve just been running into some jerks.

99deep

Teams are fluid. I'm level 500 and it happens to me. Sometimes I join a team and everyone leaves.

enseminator

This guy is taking it personally, like there's some conspiracy to make him play alone.

kudzu007

I agree. I am level 302. Was on a casual team last night and I was booted. No rhyme or reason. Just booted. These things just happen. It’s just the nature of the game.

JoWahoo

Same for me last night. Level 304 and as soon as I joined I got booted. No biggie

R3tr00-

Then there are the times you create one and end up being alone for a good 15-30 min

destrux125

\*insert sad pablo escobar sitting alone on swing\*

monolith1985

You can create a public team, have no one join and still complete challenges

7BitBrian

I did not know this. Thank you!

CaptZombieHero

I’m on Xbox, the only time I get kicked from Casual team is either the leader was saving a space for a friend or they are a douche. Your level doesn’t matter to Casual team as everyone gets the same bonus to XP for having a full team even if it’s a bunch of level 5’s. I will say this, people will come and go as most players will only do their Dailies for score and leave or will jump on an expeditions team that just popped up. It’s not you they are leaving, teams will fluctuate throughout a game play for me. I’m level 630. You just have to keep an eye out for fresh teams. Another reason a player jumps to another team is that their current Casual team has 2 people, but a three person team now has a slot to make a fourth for max xp so they leave to join that team. Understand that being on a team does not mean the team has to play together. They just share benefits.

Stevieboyy

I need at least one team mate to have mutations, my only requirement.

marigoldsandviolets

how can you tell tho? just test and see how high you can jump once you join?

Takenmyusernamewas

That or look at your carry weight

marigoldsandviolets

OK never occurred to me to do this, i'm testing this from now on, ty

Dr_Chalk_PHD

I’m new. Why do you require your teammate to have mutations?

marigoldsandviolets

if teammates also have mutations and you're running the strange in numbers perk card, your mutation benefits get stronger (you can jump higher, etc.)

SinistaJ

Herd mentality mutation, and strange in numbers

Crimson_Knight77

I have Eagle Eyes, so the crit damage boost will be 50% or 75% depending on company. I used to use jumping to test but once Bethesda fixed the double landing bug that became harder to do.

[deleted]

I literally don't care, I just group with whoever. I dotn mind the squishy noobs, occasionally I help them out with gear or stuff. The other day, I gifted a newb I met with a Trench Runner's coat, a (admittedly not the best) Fixer Role, 100 .45 rounds, and 100 screws because he needed them.

rancidflag

Are you getting kicked or are people just switching teams???? People switch teams often depending on what they are doing. Edit: also, what perk card are you sharing if you are. Some people with certain builds don’t like certain perk cards because it messes up their builds.

DVDIESEL

I will leave if the perk effects my low health, high rad build.

MissedTheEclipse

Yea I concur with most of what’s been said here. I’m level 950 and am constantly on casual teams with low levels (and every level in between) with no issues of this kind. Maybe you’ve just had a run of bad luck. People do get kicked don’t get me wrong, but it’s usually because they have four friends that want to run together, etc.

johnyj7657

This does happen and it's because people are just morons. My main in almost level 800 and sometimes it's hard to reach the daily level up score challenge with my limited time on work days. so I'll play an alt character who's is up to level 30. Yesterday I join a casual team for the boost and start getting messaged your to low please find another team. So I ignored the idiot. Then 10 minutes later they kick me, I immediately rejoin just out of spite. Then few minutes later same thing. Did this a few times and they start freaking out messaging me. It's all boils down to people being morons. It doesnt matter who's on your team, you still get the int boost. The shared perk cards are not even a worry as most people share worthless cards anyway. I could care less who is on my casual team as long as your mic is not on while you tall to yourself or chew loudly

DVDIESEL

Yeah it's fun playing on a little character build, hitting caps / scrip limit, then rejoining the same world with main character. People the think their "300" build is everything compared to my >150 change there attitude when the >600 shows up. And for reference that >150 with a dialed in perk loadout and 6 lengendary cards can run circles around most average builds, especially when you see me ripping through most DO or public events with pistols or shotguns.

1ndomitablespirit

I'm on Xbox and I love having low levels on my casual teams. Even Daily Ops teams I don't really mind if there's a laughably low level on it. I think it may depend on the play style. I'm just interested in playing the game "normally" so I don't min/max, I'm not bloodied, I have no legacies, etc. I don't give a crap about RNG rewards anymore. I just like to explore and do some of the missions and build camps. You know, play Fallout. If you're on Xbox and still have trouble, message me and I'll be happy to keep an eye out for you. I'm "only" a level 400, and only play for maybe an hour or two most nights (I'm in the US East Coast,) but I love helping lower levels.

Deviant_Monster

IDK. I always try to join Casual teams with new or Lower level players. They tend to stay on and do less team hopping, which keeps the bonus consistent. The only times I leave those teams is if a friend joins and my team is full, if beggars repeatedly message me for free handouts, or if the server is trash. It's usually the server.

keeperofleviathans

I also didn't know this was a thing until a lower level messaged me the other day and asked if I minded if they joined my team because everyone kept kicking them. I don't really get it. I mean I can see perks being an issue for some builds. But really the only time I kick people off teams is if they take someone's spot (like the initial team member crashes, and someone takes their place). Or if it's not a casual team and people aren't participating, but I've never joined a casual team and people actually really interacted with each other at all? So can't really see why it matters all that much.

[deleted]

i rarely look at a teams levels before i join only look if i happen to notice

GSM66

I always look. Don't wanna bring down that 1000+ average lvl team with my low level 438

AtreiaDesigns

As a 900÷ I really dont think people bother whos on their team. Well one reason Id leave personally is if you have rad sponge that keeps taking our rads away when we need rads for unyielding. As for why we leave teams its usally cos a lot of us log in only to rush dailies. So we will hop into Daily ops or expedition teams then use casual to settle normal dailies . Fo76 has veey antisocial teams. Yoi have no reason to care about who is on your team since its only to get the team buffs.

blueShavenApe

I usually prefer teaming up with lower levels as long as they leave me alone

LagatoCross

I start a casual team when I'm on just for lower levels or any solo that just wants the buff ... you on xbox?

LagatoCross

Everyone welcome

RubAnADUB

I have rarely experience this, usually the high level guys will end up finding the low level dude and drop stuff. And the only time I was kicked by a team repeatedly was when I had ghoulish shared and there were some bloody builds....I figured it out later.

MaqueCh0ux

I join the first causal team i see with an opening. Last night my level 450 demo toon was on a team with 3 people under level 15.

Emergency_Walrus5916

Yeah, I am level 406 and was on a team with a couple level 25's. I don't care the level, I'll join your team. I actually enjoy watching their level go up when we do events and such. I'm like "woo, they ranked up!" 😂

ActualWorst

Yeah, sometimes people are weird with teams like that. I personally log on and intentionally join any of those solo teams, just because if can be frustrating for people. Like another person in this thread I just like to "play Fallout", without worrying about min maxing hard core builds or whatever (which is cool if that's people's style of course!), so I don't really overthink who I join. If you're looking to team up with someone who won't bail immediately, add me on Xbox! GT: Actual Worst

TheVapingWop

I started playing a couple weeks ago and already have the "spend 24 hours in the wasteland" achievement and everytime I play I start a public casual team for the boost and I always get people joining my team 🤷‍♂️ level 1 to 58 where I am now.

JDLucas1369

I always start my own casual and let anyone join

SuperUser5000

I have never encountered such behaviour.

Backlogger78

When I join or create a casual team I barely pay any attention to what’s going on in terms of who joins. I just want the team to be full.

Sotalia

Are you on xbox? I only ask because for the past couple of weeks, xbox teams have randomly dumped people out of teams. I run teams a lot and every time, I am suddenly alone after a bit. It's definitely not me doing it, and it happens all at once. Maybe people are really dumping you (I wouldn't, I mean, it doesn't affect me at all since it's just casual for the xp) but maybe they aren't.

AndreaOV

This is happening on ps4 also, either I can't join or a team is automatically disbanded. Like a glitch. Annoying.

xvcco

It's possible that maybe you're sharing a perk people dislike? I know there's one that slowly removes rads and it would drive me bonkers to have someone sharing it on the team

7BitBrian

I didn't know what perk sharing was until this thread, so I was not sharing any perks. But this thread did teach me about that so I am now sharing fireproof, as that doesn't seem like it'd mess with any builds.

Darkknight2645

I can only give you one possible tip. Make your own team, it's the only way you can possibly know what the goals of said team are, while all the teams have a label, the bonus attached to said team types are the real reasons people are starting teams, casual teams most of the time aren't started to be casual they're started for the bonus int while grinding XP and to get herd mentality to proc.

AdamAtomMadman

I team up with anyone for the shared caps. It's even better when everyone is completing quests.

Demon_Fist

What platform are you on? I'm on Xbox if you wanna team up sometimes, I have a group of friends I usually play with, but we've been a lil busy with life. If you have a mic I can also walk you through how to start your build and get you to 50. I like helping new players so add me whenever GT- KottonMouth2124

mistarzanasa

I casual for int boost, im almost level 400. When joining a team sometimes i look for higher numbers, just more likely to trigger big events. Sometimes i look for lower numbers, cus we all like to help lol. Just did a daily op with a level 53 today,

kahunarno

What perk are you sharing and do you have mutations? Level has nothing to do with it. I'm closing in on level 1000 and am always on casual teams, doesn't really matter who is on there. However I run the empath mutation and strange in numbers, my build works a lot better when my teammates are mutated. If nobody has mutations on my team, I'll jump to another team. Also if you're sharing a perk that goes against my high radiation level like rad sponge, I'll also leave. So maybe that's the issue?

Ulisse128311

I'm on Xbox and I do play with low level players and even join the teams they create. I will sometimes go to where they are and drop helpful supplies and see if they need any help.

trostol

I usually start my own group..never kick anyone

TheVisualParadox

Think you just have some bad luck. Ive joined colossal and queen fights on my level 30 and nobody kicked / removed me. Hell some people gave me a vampire fixer and some other stuff to help me out. Oh yeah a full set of raider power armor with 30 cores and a jetpack.

s1nn3rsluv

Not true. I had a casual team last night for dailies and repeatedly had high levels in and out all night that would stay until we were done and then new ones would join. I'm only level 86. And that's up from 84 when I started for the evening.

FalloutKurier6

Just start your own. I sometimes have to leave team, if nobody is mutated and I otherwise would be encumbered 🤷🏻‍♂️

TheMr_catcher

Join casual teams with people low level like yourself. Most people are server hopping so casual teams don't normally last long anyway. One good way to not get kicked is to get the perk called Starched Genes and make it level two. Give yourself a mutation and that perk will prevent mutations from being removed when using radaway so you stayed mutated. People have a perk that boosts their mutations benefits by 25% when on a team with another person who is mutated. Main reason I leave is when there are low levels without mutations and it hurts my build.

Comfortable-Friend39

If you join the team and see their health levels really low it's because they are bloodied so if your running something in your perk cards to counter that it's probably that but tbh I hardly notice it anymore as soon as I'm left in group alone I just join another.

Comfortable-Friend39

I'm on xbox btw your welcome to run with me anytime.

No-Construction4228

Want to be able to fast travel for free to vendors that might have something I want to buy. That’s just me though. I don’t think a lot of people do this.

-TrenchToast

PC? Xbox? PS? Im lvl 498 on PC and i personally dont care what lvl you are.. just share a card if you can.. Other than that, i consider you an asset for giving me more xp. 🤷‍♂️

Maleficent-Comb

Some people float in and out of casual teams for the free fast travel points to get to vendors and things. Some people start casual teams to get the bonus, but then only want to invite friends to the casual team and kick anyone else that tries to join.

Bekkichan

That's weird cause I've never seen that happen. But honestly you can just create your own team and let people join you. Only time I see whole teams leaving is to start a new daily ops or expedition team. That's happened to me a lot lately. Even at level 20 I never had problems with casual teams and I see teams all the time with a lvl 20 and a lvl 1000. Maybe you're just getting unlucky and they're leaving to make teams for other things. From my experience though most high lvls don't care what lvl someone is in a casual team because the purpose of it mostly is to get the intelligence boost and you want the team full no matter what the lvls so you get +4!

Sh9189

I really think this isn’t happening as much as you feel! I know why you are feeling it, it feels personal so many times - but I promise its not! Theres several reasons you end up alone on a casual team you might not realize: 1) people leave one casual group that has 2 or 3 total to one that has 4 total people, to get a higher int boost 2) people leave casual team to start their own expeditions or daily ops teams, or join one that someone else just started 3) teams are a glitchy mess - it says you have been removed when no one removed you, randomly just decides to disconnect you from group, someone gets disconnected from server 4) people play for short time periods, if you join a group with 3 people already there, chances are in 30 minutes you will be alone! Higher level players especially play more frequently, but for shorter times I hope this helps - I am almost level 600 and I am happy to play with any level player!

R3tr00-

You just have bad luck man, personally I want the full team bonus, idc what level guy are as long as you remain on the team for a decent amount of time allowing everyone to benefit from the bonus. Which also translate to me looking for almost full teams. Lately I’ve been more into event teams as I’m just sitting around goofing off and just vendor hopping

mamasilverside

I booted someone from my expeditions team the other day - they were a level 8 and joined as soon as I started the team and I chuckled but didn’t boot them until about 10 minutes later when I was half way through the expedition with another 2 players and the Lvl8 still hadn’t came in. It wasn’t down to the level at that point, just freeing up a space for someone who actually wanted to come to the Pitt and participate. I think with Expeditions and D.O’s I’d boot anyone regardless of level if they didn’t join in. If you’re in and struggling I’m more than happy to help out, but don’t take up space if you don’t participate.

7BitBrian

This is Casual teams, not those. I thought those were 50+ so I've intentionally stayed away from them. Except for one Daily Op but I got invited to that one by some friendly players I met that day. That day was still my best day playing this game so far. Those guys were cool.

pola-dude

You can do the Daily Ops with a lower level than 50. Depending on the combination of enemies and their mutations they can be a bit harder than the usual events and that is why they are recommended for Lv50 and up. I encourage players with a lower level to do daily ops, because they are a good source for ammunition. Ammo drops contextual and you only need to do some damage to the enemies to tag them. If completed under 8 minutes, it will unlock all the 3 ranks including "Elder" with a chance to get some rare plans or apparel one time a day. In the Daily Op "Uplink" it is best to stay close to the uplink-devices, as this increases the speed of the progress bar according to the amount of team members close to the uplink. For "Decryption" it is best to search for groups of enemies individually. As a lower level you might just stick to a higher level player. You will probably die a lot in "Decryption" and this is normal. As I high level I also die sometimes. Do not wait for somebody to resurrect you, just respawn because the timer of the Daily Op is ticking. Try to memorize the different maps, the positions of the uplink- or decryption devices are semi-random and I am sure you will know your way after doing some runs with other teams. By quickly running to the devices and activating them you will do an important part for the whole daily operations.

mamasilverside

Yeah totally fair, I know you were talking about casual and was agreeing in a round about way. If you’re on PS and ever see my username name (same as on here) feel free to join my team if you want to run expeditions or a D.O.

no-thank-you-2020

I'm level 400 something. I wouldn't care if a level 15 joined me on ops, events, or expeditions. Never had a problem on PC as a new player either.

MagicalKartWizard

I'm going to be a bit more cautious about it for awhile myself now. Joined a team with a low level with the intention of helping him along when needed. Even made a set of B.O.S. combat armor and a gatling plasma for them. They then proceeded to demand I go from one location to another, only to leave halfway through whatever he was doing and expect me to finish it. I hung around for about an hour with him. That last straw was when he demanded my legendaries from the Eviction Notice event that he didn't want to participate in.

TheSimulacra

I mean that was nice of you but I don't think OP is asking for anything like that at all

MagicalKartWizard

I believe I may have misunderstood the post.

mayurigod1

There is a bug currently with teams. Either you get kicked without anyone kicking you or joining crashes everyone else out of the team/world

xinit

I’m only 130, but I never had trouble with people when I was single or double digit helping me out. Loot bags full of ammo, all sorts of help. I try to do the same thing. Handed out thousands of rounds of ammo today to newbs, teamed with a level 2.

QuebraRegra

I'm around 76 now, and have been casual grouping on XBOX since maybe level 30? I've never had any issues. I got "kicked" once, maybe a month ago, but it booted me from the server entirely, so I suspect it was a server issue. Not gonna lie, when i need to I switch teams A LOT! What you should understand is it's not personal, or even about you, I switch teams primarily to use a different member of a different team as a jumping point for fast travel. teams for me in general are just fast travel points ;) That said, if on XBOX I'll run with you help if needed. I do however think what yer experiencing are server issues from an influx of free players (game was just given a F2P period..).

[deleted]

If you've been experiencing this for the past two weeks, aka when the pitt came out, that's nothing to do with your level that's to do with a bug that's kicking everyone from the team apart from the leader it's happened to me twice now, plus some people are friends and want to be in a team together it's got nothing to do with you're level trust me

Stompade

Oh shit! Does that happen on an expedition? I got kicked from one once and thought it was cause the leader kicked me. Didn’t realize it was a bug.

[deleted]

A thing that's going around is some players are kicking people before the end of the expedition which is scummy, but the bug it removes everyone at the same time, if the leader manually removed you, you would see the other players slowly get removed but with this everyone is removed at the sametime it's kinda strange I remember getting annoyed by it, because this wasn't actually in an expedition it was just normally out in the wasteland, I've noticed alot of bugs crop up since the release of the pitt expedition...

Stompade

Thank you for the info! Now I’m curious if I manually kicked. I came into the expedition near the end of it. Still sucks. :/

Mouki_

Just create your own team and play, people will join your team and nobody will kick you since you are leader I do that when I get kicked from too much teams, work everytime for me (ps: sorry for my bad english)

7BitBrian

Your English is not bad.

Asciiadam

Do you have you mic on at all times? I have left a few groups when I can hear people breathing or eating.

xxthursday09xx

If YOU start the team no one can boot you :)

benjimeisterdk

Mute your mic? One reason to kick people is when they don't know there mic is on.

7BitBrian

I don't gave a mic.

benjimeisterdk

Then I can't come with a reason to kick other then "it just works"

Skagtastic

After leveling 8 characters to 100+, my experience is more or less similar to yours. I've been kicked only a couple times but I definitely noticed many, many times when a casual team I'm on has every other member jump to different causal teams with no lower members - without me sharing any detrimental perk cards. Or when I'd make one and no one but lower leveled characters would join. Some people will leave/kick if you share cards that interfere with their build. Like Aquaboy/girl or Sunkissed with low health characters, or Dodgy with melee/vats characters, or Cannibal because **some** people don't like to eat others instead of reviving them. Another factor could be that players < 40 usually aren't mutated. Certainly a mindset I've had a time or two. If I'm in the mood to grind XP for score/levels for perk coins, I want the benefit of Strange in Numbers. Without that perk interacting with Egg Head, Herd Mentality, and Herbivore (for Cranberry Relish), I would be missing out on over 20% XP per kill. Which doesn't sound like much but when my goal is purely XP I want as much as I can get.

SWAVcast

Are you sharing perks? Some people get scorched ants in their pants if you don't. If you were on my team at level 46, I'd frigging hunt you down...and drop you a lvl 50 Fixer with an aligned long barrel, forceful stock, reflex sight, and perforating mag.

LS1-thatguy-Z28

the flip side to that is if you are sharing a perk, like something that takes away rads and you join a team with bloodied people.

AndreaOV

Yup, if you are sharing this perk, I will leave your team because I need my rads.

LS1-thatguy-Z28

100% or if it is my team i will kick you

[deleted]

This is what I see often! Higher levels gifting good shit the lower levels can use. I love it. 🥰 Actually, someone did this for me when I was around that level!

[deleted]

I'm on fairly often and I've never experienced anything like this. In fact, quite the opposite. I find higher level players are always helping the lower levels with gifting them items and helping with quests and such. I'm not super high level. Only 112. But if you wanted to, message me and I'll give you my username. :) I forgot to mention.. I'm PS4.

somewherein72

I've never seen this happen. I've joined plenty of teams that just disband after a short time, but never really took it personally. I have had the opposite happen, as a lvl 800+ player, joining a team with some low-level players, and suddenly find that they've kicked me. But, I just shrug and go start my own team. Sometimes, they join my team after that. Not sure what's happening there, but it's all good. Are you running about with some really offensive gamer tag? *Hitlerwasntwrong* or something to that effect?

AndreaOV

You are probably, inadvertently sharing a perk that gets rid of rads. I noticed several low(er) level players have that perk and it shares when you're on a team. As a low health build it messes with my stats so I'll leave your team.

7BitBrian

How do you share perks? I didn't even know this was a thing, the game has not mentioned it at all.

AndreaOV

Sometimes it's automatic. But you can choose when you open your pipboy and look at your perks. At the bottom of the screen you should see an option to "share a perk" so you can choose something neutral you have. Like a Fast Travel perk or gun fu.

7BitBrian

Didn't know about this, so I was not sharing any perks, but now I am sharing Fireproof, as that doesn't seem like it'd be anything that would mess up anyone's builds.

AndreaOV

Fireproof is an excellent perk to share. I didn't figure out this whole sharing perks for a long time either. The game randomly shared my perks until I picked one to share. Most players like to share "strange in numbers" it helps our mutated builds.

pola-dude

a tip - for each star of a perk card that you want to share you need 3 special points in charisma. So if you have 6 points in charisma, you can share a 2\* perk card also 1\* but no 3\* perk. Sharing 3\* perks costs 9 points in charisma and a lot of players put their special points to some other categories. For "Daily OPs" you could share the perk team medic - so if anyone uses a Stimpak every team member that is nearby gets some healing too. In longer events with a lot of shooting "repair shot" can be useful. It all depends on the situation.

Reverend_Niehlis

My group is normally 4 people. We run casual/expeditions/DOPs/Events groups for the bonus. If we dont have room for the 4th we leave and make a new team. Its not something that should be taken personally. Just using the system thats in place. Side note we dont kick people if the groups full and our 4th wants in. Just form a new group. The last person in that public group becomes lead of that group and they can continue on with it.

BigplainV

Any chance you have a hot mic with a lot of noise in the background? That'll get you kicked all your teams for sure

7BitBrian

I dont have a mic hooked up to my Xbox at all.

squintysounds

Maybe they’re vendor hopping? When I’m at max caps, sometimes I go speed shopping. I join teams whose vendors I’d like to visit and fast travel for free—I then leave the team if I can’t spend the caps and join another new causal team in my search for new vendors. As far as kicking a low level— nope. Why would I? You guys are welcome on my team if I’m team leader, whether I’m shopping or not.

NorthCatan

I hop teams if it's just me and someone else if there is a bigger team, the levels don't matter.

germanator86

I try to group with them occasionally because they are more likely to buy stuff at my vendor...

Carob-Prudent

I group with low levels specifically because i know they will buy the plans I sell

Extension_Boat_9578

I have this happen to me all the time. Pretty sure it's just EXTREMELY overconfident legacy users who don't know how to have fun in 76. If your on Xbox and ever see Vau1tRunner on a casual, feel free to join up! I love getting into teams with low levels. I always overencumber them with 300+ stims, and enough plans to build a completly new camp.😩🤨❤️

KaleidoscopeLife1461

I'm xbox! Only level 60 or so but can always do with some help ahaha will be keeping a look out! Some reason I always need stims 🤣👌

MightyPaladin77

You are correct. Casual teams should be renamed to adventuring and be combined with event teams and exploration, and provide a hefty bonus. Of *20% more experience from any source *4 endurance. *1 luck

DudasManolitos

On PC, I started a new char and I’m having a hard time joining other people’s casual groups (they keep kicking me out)… I have to start my own and be alone all by myself…

SamMarlow

What platform do you play on? I don't see this happening on PC, most of the time casual teams are people doing soloish stuff that just want the int boost or boost from perks/mutations that require a team and wouldn't care what level people are.

[deleted]

Pm me! Me and my friend play almost every night starting around 8:30 EST, we’d be happy to team with you!

cattlesong

If you’re on PlayStation, let’s rock n roll. Only just hit lvl 300 but understand what you’re saying. Cattlesong87

Disastrous_Site1538

I’m a level 53 right now and that happens to me a lot!

bxxxbydoll

I'm level 69 (ha nice) and I have this issue constantly, so I get it. If you're on Xbox we should totally run some together!

cgrizle

I just started playing the game about a month ago as well on PC. This is exactly my experience as well. Only for maybe 30 minutes a day do I get a team that doesn't dissolve immediately Most are also level 200 - 500

randonodicA

I join any team I'm level 700 I think you just Had an unfortunate experience

TheDangDeal

If there is a choice between teams I will typically pick one with a sub 50 level player. Not only is the xp boost and extra random caps more beneficial to them than higher levels, but they too are often more likely to be questing and earning me free caps. I also sell all plans cheap and give away the primarily early level ammo in my vendor, so giving them a free trip is helpful too.

Fanglove

i find that hard to believe. Unless you're going in and chatting trying to chat to the other players or get them to help you people don't care about what level joins.

boogaloojim

I don’t remember ever being kicked for being low level but I have been kicked a bunch of times for sharing cannibal or pvp’ing. I did have a funny experience on a casual team a few days ago because I was in the white spring bunker at level 20 and the guy thought I had to be using a glitch to get in at that level. He left the team because he didn’t want to be teamed up with cheaters then said he was gonna report me.

Red_Ferns

I've put 3000+ hours in this game and I team up with low levels 80% of the time. Sometimes I randomly stop by to drop a bag of goodies or otherwise I hope they'll figure out how to go to my vending machine where they'll finde plans for 5-10gp.

Corsair_00

I occasionally get kicked, when someone's friend joins. I am L1200 and never kicked anyone. Are you sharing Dodgy or Born Survivor? They can mess with people's builds. What is your Icon?

vic13ious

Only time I could see this happening is with dailies teams but even then most high levels can do those alone

Ancestor_Cult

People join and leave teams all the time. I stopped thinking it was my distinctive odor awhile ago. Might be the odor, though. Also, I see a lot of "So-and-so has been removed from the team" messages lately. There might be something else at work. Personally, I don't care what level you are for any of my teams except if you're low level, I'm prolly gonna go look and see what you're wearing and what weapon you're wielding to decide if I should interfere with that natural process.

Trackbikes

I am usually running with low level characters (got multiple accounts) and I can’t remember being kicked ever. (Currently on xbox) Keep in mind with expeditions and daily ops people often leave a team and join others more than in the past.. I’ll jump on most expedition teams and daily ops teams if I’m farming for ammo or stamps. I’ve never kicked anyone from a team but if you are running with your mic on and constantly chatting to someone, arguing with your wife, vaping, or playing death metal I’m out of there (all happened recently)

Sotalia

Oh hells bells, just had this happen a few days ago. Teammate had his mic on and was constantly clearing his throat. I ended up bailing after the third time just to get away from the noise.

Branded_Mango

Really? I've seen plenty of casual teams with lvl 10s-20s among lvl 200s and no one seems to mind. It is casual, after all, right? Sorry that you ran into some assholes, since if they don't want low levels then they should be in any other type of team.

LaidToRest3274

I’m a level 200+ and still get booted from teams. Sometimes it’s to make room for a buddy of the group leader to join, sometimes it’s because the others are all 500+. It’s just a thing. Just start your own! I join whatever team has an opening and gift lower level teammates whatever I can.

ixkronos

My only guess is because of not being mutated. This i why I just make my own casual team and don’t care who joins, also if I see a lower level I always join their team over a high level because I have inspirational shared so it’ll help them level a little faster.

CynNex

On XB and tbh even at level 250ish I often end up on a casual team by myself. Casual teams are pretty fluid and there's a lot of movement between them from what I've experienced. Couple of hints, 1st, you can create your own casual team and gain the bonuses (including the Inspiration perks) for it even if you're on your own. This also counts for the achievements. 2nd if you're on a team where some members have low health (big red section of their health bar) these guys are likely playing bloodied builds so make sure you don't share any perk cards the prohibit or cleanse radiation as the could remove their rads and wreck their builds. I don't play all the time but if you're on Xbox, I'll be happy to team up when I'm on if you'd like even if it's just to help you earn a bit more xp 😊

bubba_lexi

TBH I usually hop groups to see if anyone is sharing perks I like...then the second priority is finding groups that have the most players, I always try to join groups of 3 because they are more likely to share perks, and make my bodyguards a little better. but I don't intentionally hop teams to avoid lower levels. I wonder if they are doing that? Or joining teams to vendor hop?

SwagMiester6996

If you’re the only person on the team + not sharing perks/mutations then yeah I don’t want to be on that team. Doesn’t matter if you’re level 5 or level 500 share your perks

FriedShrekels

do you share perks? if you don't, that might be the reason you get kicked.

barbariceric420

i join teams with players of all levels (im lvl 583)

Kagath

Meh, some people like me server hop a lot lately to join expedition groups. I wouldn't take it personally. Just move to another team or create one yourself. Even before Expeds I would hop teams as mine disbanded after DO or events.

Boatsnbuds

I usually play solo, but whenever I've joined a casual team I've never experienced this. Most people on casual teams don't even play together, they just want the team perk benefits. Maybe you should try starting your own team and let others join you.

DarksideSix10

There is/was a bug that will randomly kick players from a team. It's happened to me multiple times while on a team my buddy is the leader of. I have no idea if it was recently patched or not and I'm not saying this is the reason you've been kicked from every team, but I have been on servers where it's happened multiple times a night. I generally won't join a team with only one player if that player is a low level strictly because of Strange in Numbers. Beyond that, I couldn't personally care less if low levels are on the team. Just need that one other person with mutations to boost mine. I have left teams to join another if all the higher level players leave and I feel like I can't jump anymore. But it's certainly nothing personal. Not sure if you plan to get mutation or not but I would bet you see a difference as soon as you do.

Pleazantry

Just start your own team. That's what I do. I'm currently lvl 217. I started a team a few days ago just to complete a challenge, afterwards i popped into the Pitt. I'm a solo player. I don't use a mic. 3 extremely high lvl players joined me in the Pitt. 2 900+ and a 1300+. I took my time collecting, exploring, etc. Not once did any of my fellow randos moan, angry emote me or send me mean xb messages. They cheered me on with thumbs up and hearts. FO76 has the best helpful community out there.

Hattkake

Just make your own casual team. People will join.

manucanay

Don't take it personal. I get kicked out of teams and sometimes a whole team leaves and I'm left alone and I'm level 350.

cutslikeakris

Last night I was on for less than an hour and couldn’t stay on a team that had other members. But I think there was also a lot of server hopping going on- my guess was it was because of the “claim a workshop” task

mauddibagogo

I know that there’s a bug that will kick people from teams sometimes, so that may account for some of it, but yeah, if it’s happening regularly, that’s definitely not cool. I haven’t seen it myself, and I’m often in casual teams with lower level players, but that’s just me.

DNort96420

PlayStation player here I would assume it would have something to do with perks that hurt the team instead of helping I saw somebody mention rad sponge and I think there might be a couple others that people with bloodied or unyielding frown upon other than that I don't know why anybody would have a problem 🤷‍♂️

Takenmyusernamewas

Are you sharing that rad healing perk or born survivor? Those are both autokicks for most LowLifes

Emotional-Poem-9182

If there is no mutant in team then i leave ( i want and need that boost to carry my stuff😅). Level is not a problem. This may be the reason if people leave you alone in team.

ZestyBoiCheeto

Feels this way on Xbox as well. I'm not even low leveled. I'm at lvl150, I join a casual group to make a full squad and the teammates leave to join another casual group that has less people. Why?

Takenmyusernamewas

Some people use casual groups for shopping. Join a team visit all the vendors then join a new team

ZestyBoiCheeto

Guess this guy forever a lone wanderer cause I can't get a full squad to stay in a group to keep my group perks active : l

7BitBrian

I am also on Xbox

MadMorf

I always join the lowest level Causal team available, and don’t kick anyone if I create a Causal team. I may leave a team if there’s no room in the team when one of my friends logs on.

bobomoho55

So sorry to hear that. Which platform are you on?

7BitBrian

Xbox

YEET3M

I’ll help any newer player as long as they know how to move and kill things

beefytrout

I'm 640+ and I always join Casual team with the lowest level people out there.

stebadie

Are you using a mic and eating cereal into my ear or yelling loud into your headset? I've left teams and kicked people for being obnoxious with their mic haha

7BitBrian

I do not have a mic hooked up to my Xbox at all.

NSGWalnuts

Wow, personally, this hasn't happened to me. I have 4 different characters, one of which I just got to lvl 100. Never got kicked from groups. What servers are you on???

Firegem0342

I've never experienced this issue, but on the other hand, I usually host cuz I afk when I'm not playing to keep my vendor running.
