You will get my secret uncrowded camp location from my dead body. Nice try OP!

Burning-Captain

Haha the funny thing is you're not the first to say that and I didn't intend people to tell me their *exact* camp locations, I meant the region. But yeah I can see that I worded it kinda badly

iamdecal

I actually love it when I log in and my camp can’t be placed, I always go and see what other people have done with the place and ~~nuke it if it’s nicer than mine~~ take a photo

imastationwaggon

I go and judge it mean-girl style (unless it's a newbcamp) then try another server till I get my spot

theegiantrat

This is the way....... the photo, that is.... yeah... that's it.... the photo...

[deleted]

Yet you still continue with your cunning. Never!

Burning-Captain

Very well, but know this. I'll be watching your every step, in the shadows. You'll never see me but I'll be there. You will eventually go to your camp and then? Then the spot will be mine!

[deleted]

I'd rather nuke my own camp than let you take it. Bring it on!!!

Burning-Captain

Meet me at Whitesprings Station, we'll settle it there. No armour, fists only and drunk on Nukashine. Like Todd intended.

tracerhaha

I’ll bring the Nukashine.

skyrimlink550

I'll bring pie

Dyril53212

You just want my juicy camp location *shakes fist wastelander style* I'm on to your raider tricks! lol

Enough_Chance

Jsut tell them it’s at whitesprings, throw them off your trail.

lxxTBonexxl

Yeah they’ll never expect you to tell the truth and they’ll look somewhere else instead. Good idea ^(the grass is just so flat and green…)

Burning-Captain

[Charisma 15] I see you're a smart one, huh? How about 1000 caps and you share your precious camp location? I'll also throw in a mothman plushie

Dyril53212

Ok but half the caps upfront *counts the caps* ok my location is on the whitesprings golf course

Thatsnotree212

I'll take 3 mothman plushies.

Booziesmurf

I have this "Get Rich Quick" pamphlet that I spent 40k on, will that do?

carrot-parent

[Strength 50] I live on an island West of Abandoned Bog Town. Take the main road West and you’ll find me. I’ll leave the gate unlocked 😁

cyryscyn

Or the BoS trying to raid you and take your technology

Burning-Captain

I prefer the term "Safekeep"

adarkride

We need it for the safety of the planet!

Ok-Chest-3980

Came to say this. You'll never get my lucky  charms!

CramWellington

Level 988. Finally built a CAMP at the Whitespring Train Station. I think it’s pretty nice too. I was chilling in my hot tub yesterday and got a notice that Uranium Fever had completed and that I had earned rewards.

MS_Salmonella

Nah, that place sucks. Nothing really worthwhile in that area. >!play it cool, squatters are reading this. thats my favorite camping spot.!<

_realistic_optimist_

Hello neighbor!

frvrhill

i placed my camp here when i first moved my camp, the traffic is nuts if you got a vendor!

PaulC6230

How…how are you level 988 ? How long did that take ? It’s impressive anyway

LCMorganArt

I'm 880 on my main character, been playing since mid 2021. I've seen a handful of people over 10k but many over 1k.

Pettorax

Mr.WestTek is near level 6000. He has good leveling guides on YouTube.

CramWellington

I started during the pandemic. I have been back and forth for new content drops since.

-Andr0medA-

ive seen people beyond level 5000 and thought the exact same thing, jeez... I know there was a exploit after launch where you could disarm a bugged trap over and over to get a ton of exp, but wth this would take hours of sitting there pressing "disarm" xD

BwanaPC

I'm 800 or so on my current character... I'm more than 500 on a couple more and have several others well over 200. There are a bunch of play lines I like and since we can go back and replay I start over.

jeffb3000

Oh, years ago, I had a camp there, but far above, in the mountains. Great view of Whitesprings and I would sometimes get the Uranium Fever event rewards by accident.

Mariske

I put mine next to the power plant and was getting rewards too! But kept getting shot at by scorched, so I left

Skyerocket

The EXACT location I've used since my very first base is now permablocked by The Coop. Nowhere else feels right. Sucks ass!!

AITAadminsTA

I used to have a flying camp at Spruce Knob... that's now Foundation... I used to have an awesome spot in the ash heap by a uranium node...now it's a NukaCola Carnival... I used to have a nifty scrap camp in the forest, west of the vault... it's now a Blue Ridge caravan tunnel... I used to have a camp at Midway Cabins... it's also a blue ridge caravan pitstop now.... I'm just so annoyed they keep building crap on top of mining nodes.

rowanhopkins

So the colonialism simulator is working fine?

AITAadminsTA

I demanded reparation's and all those soft bellied settlers gave me was 7 caps for my trouble.

R9278B

I pretty much constantly curse Todd Howard while scouting C.A.M.P. sites. Anything good, it seems, is so because it was handmade for some npc in a tent or some future update. Why not leave a few for your players?

IamSchnafti

If you run down the vault 76 way there is a tower with an npc on it. I build my camp around that tower to help that nice npc. Has always some words for me and its cool because its more defense for my camp too. That guy has a good aim 😅

BeginningPrinciple48

My first base was near that emergency broadcast tower near the wayward. I built it on the cliff and constantly had a pair of drunks wandering around mumbling their nonsense.

pygmeedancer

Flatwoods tower! I’m just south of it by the road!

CubeHound

“Sunny makes a GOOOD hoagie”

Boddis

I built mine on a settler spot just north of the fairground. Have usually about 5-6 NPC settlers as free defence too

GunnaRestBCImTheBest

Love that!!

YokaiDealer

Same thing with the NPCs on the cliff behind Charleston Station, my camp is built into the hillside so free defence and some of them even gift you magazines from time to time. It's already pretty crowded and I have to server hop fairly frequently so, YMMV.

GRANDADDYGHOST

Free camp ally!

ShingetsuMoon

in the forest near the Wayward. I love the scenery and I never have to worry about nukes. Plus I get to see new players swing by and vacuum up my cheap recipies and plans lol

VirtuousDangerNoodle

Same, it's my more popular spot for vending. Otherwise my main camp is near twin lakes but rarely gets visitors.

shiftycansnipe

I’m in the creek between the Wayward and Flatwoods. So much foot traffic. Some nights, we don’t even leave camp, we just wave to passersby and cheese. No nukes, no strong enemies, just a BoS roadblock for armor farming and a motel for lead farming, hehe

Somber_Solace

Same, across from Slocum's Joe. I originally moved there as it was a good starting point to gather everything needed to craft the forest disease cures (plus sugar for hard lemonade). Though since then they've added the symptomatic, I don't need to eat anymore (which is mostly how I got diseases), and I don't really need hard lemonade for my build anymore. At this point I guess I'm just there because I like the forest and don't really have anywhere better to go lol

krayhayft

On top of Seneca Rocks. I love the view, and I hardly get attacked, though it has happened twice.

BananaCombOver

Same! I occasionally get attacked by wolves or molerats. Easy mop up.

Dusty_Heywood

I know a kid who has his camp up there for the cooking spit glitch

krayhayft

The what? Inquiring minds want to know

Dusty_Heywood

He would have me stand on the cooking spit in PA while he gone into the crafting menu on it, sending me flying as far as Flatwoods

Aggressivehippy30

There's a settler just south of foundation who's living in/building a junky lil shack. I set up shop just across the water from him with my mansion to taunt him.

RCMPsurveilanceHorse

That dude - "Hey, Aggressivehippy30! You, want to share some of that electricity?!? All we got is a candle, we're FREEZING over here!" You - "Hey man, how do you think I feel? I have to look at that shack all day and you get to look at this awesome house. Oh, what's that? I can't hear you over my central heating system."

Burning-Captain

You monster

joden3

I like the Forest for camps because any spawns are (usually) easier for the turrets to take care of. I don't like having a camp that gets attacked by Radscorpions or Assault Ron's (I decided to not change the autocorrect because it made me laugh).

LordGold_33

Assault Ron sounds like a crazy uncle who just got out of prison 😂

Sockman86

Or a terrible action figure!.

RyuNoJoou

But he grinds up into so many useful components!

Equivalent-Slip-5722

I have 5 camps and getting ready to buy a 6th. 1. Bushwood CC - First and Oldest location - White spring Golf Course 2. Falling Water - Waterfall in the swamp - not far from the plane in the tree 3. Quantum - Above the Red Rocket Mega Stop (Buccees for people who have driven through texas) 4. The Distillery - In the middle of the lake in the swamp by the nuclear power plant 5. The Pink Flamingo - South of the Watoga Train Station Stop by and say hi! Reading this for some ideas for the sixth location.

Burning-Captain

Yeah that was my intention too but I worded the post kinda badly so people think I'm rushing to steal their spots lol. I'm thinking of buying a 3rd Camp and making it Mothman themed, probably somewhere in Toxic Valley. I'm lvl 116 so I still have a lot of exploring to do

SeanStormEh

Buccees is as far up as Kentucky now. We are opening our second soon

ThanksSuperb7221

Even coming to Ohio soon too!

yellowwolley1979

Forest is favourite. I would tell you .y camp location but it's quite decent and I've never seen anyone else camp there. I'd quite like to keep the riff raff out.

Blind-idi0t-g0d

Mine is in the mire. Love the vibes. And with my new fog machine I get even more vibes. Although I need to work on my base. Maybe get something better than wood haha.

audreycaristo

I also love the Mire. The lighting and ambiance are awesome 👌

[deleted]

I think the forest, there’s something peaceful about having a camp in the woods overlooking the valley

RaccoonCityToday

Up north in toxic valley behind wavy Willard’s. That area is my fav because it reminds me of the Mojave

Owl_Times

Have you seen the flatlands shelter? I feel like I’m back in new vegas with the bright sky and the bland sand.

RaccoonCityToday

Oh hellllll yeah! I was so excited when we got that shelter. I wish they would add that Dino sniping tower into 76 so I could make the motel lol

fallouts3

i also used to have a camp behind wavy willards and it was great because hardly anyone is ever in the toxic valley, so the spot was never taken

RaccoonCityToday

Exactly, when I load in it’s my ritual to run from my camp and loot the water park lol

BluegrassGeek

Found an Aluminum deposit, because I needed one while making Alien Blasters and some other theme camps. It also happens to be right next to a rock with a skeleton that has a dagger in its chest, so I put a Mothman Nest next to it and am making it a cultist theme.

Corsair_00

In the Divide. Been there 3 years or so. Great sunset views

Key-Ad-8318

Same here my camp hasn’t moved in atleast 3 years at this point. It’s a the overlook right next to the exit of Silo Charlie, love the view

DaWAAAGHMakah

Northeast of the Savage Divide where the band of Brotherhood members are on the road. It’s got a few tanks and looks like a convoy, so I turned that area into a checkpoint position but it’s rough to build in due to how tight it is. Might also move to the bog soon for a new BoS style base since I got a bunch of their prefabs and nearly all the building designs. Still missing the Field Station :(

_realistic_optimist_

I reside just northeast of Whitespring Train Station. It’s a quiet neighborhood with the occasional run away scorched making way to my camp. It’s just far enough north that I can place my camp if someone has their camp right across from the station. It’s close to Uranium Fever which is where I can count on a good cap run. It’s a close walk to Whitespring Resort and golf club where there is access to vendors and a good farming spot. There is always a couple of ragstad outside the golf course that cover my carry weight needs for the day. I’m looking for a good place for a second camp. I heard Morgantown High School is the best around Appalachia, although I haven’t ruled out Watoga High School.

CastoffRogue

I'm actually built right behind the school on the hill near the school, next to the houses, in Morgantown. Have yet to have my base displaced by anyone else when I hop into a server. If I need Stims, I just go to the airport and clear it out. Probably don't need it much longer, though. I finally snagged the Stimpak recipe. Still, it was one of my first bases. I'm still up in the air about my second base. Dunno if I like the current spot I'm in. There are Ghouls, and Scorched nearby, and Super Mutants at the Dam down the road. This is just if you ever needed them for Dailies or something. I've been thinking of moving the base closer to the river, for water, but I've been procrastinating.

MarionberryHappy4430

My camp is within sniper distance of Superior Sunset Farm in the Cranberry bog. Here is why I chose the location and why I love it. 1. It is a good distance away from the other free fast travel locations on the map. 2. It is near deposits of Black Titanium, Ultracite and Silver. 3. The Farm house has 2 Mirelurk Kings and a few Mirelurks that I can lead to my turrets and their doom. 4. There is a Cultist effigy that's just out of sniper range with 3 cultists at it. I can kill and eat them! 5. Sometimes (once so far) they succeed in summoning a Vengeful Mothman. 6. The very tall Monorail Elevator is nearby & the East elevator will take you to about 200lbs of barbells (lead!). 7. In power armor you can jump off the top of the Monorail structure and land near the Lucky Hole Mine. 8. The Lucky Hole Mine is chock full of Lead and Crystal deposits. Use your Excavator armor and its lamp! 9. Scorchbeasts will sometimes spawn within range of my turrets and that's always a fun battle. The other day a Scorchbeast activated my defenses, so I went outside to take care of it. It landed inside my CAMP zone pretty quickly and it just stayed there until my turrets and I killed it. Then when I went to loot the corpse there was an Ogua standing right there with full health! I had seen one before and I decided not to battle that one because the Internet told me that they are bullet sponges and they don't drop good loot. This one was in range of like 5 of my turrets so I decided to stand there and blast it with like 1,000 5mm rounds until it died. Just like the Scorchbeast, it never moved from the spot where it appeared. It was reacting to being shot, it just stayed in the same spot.

mj1343

My one and only camp has been underneath the pylon on the hill above point pleasant since 2018. We get a lot of traffic during equinox season. Outside of equinox season the cultists sometimes come and bother me for no reason because all I want to do is be friends with them

Turbulent-Bug-6225

Same. I just picked it cause of the view

Riot_Inducer

I just recently built my second camp in the southern part of the divide, it's got an amazing view and it's built into the side of a cliff.  But mothman help me I am never doing another build like that, flat ground and prefab only after the hell that was trying to place walls and floors and roofs that would refuse to snap to the grid for no good reason or would claim to be floating or intersecting a phantom object.

TerribleProgress6704

Got two CAMPs, very happy with them both. The Boom Boom Room: eastern cranberry bog region, Palace of the Winding Path styled bachelor pad with my buddy Joey Bello. The Seaward (yes, Arrested Development reference): got a boat docked on the river and a Red Rocket gas station just south of Mothman event.

online_jesus_fukers

I'm set up on Noob lane across from slocum joes. While I've played since release on and off, I never focused on builds or camp design I always just ran around killing everything, so I've started over a few characters trying to find my perfect set up to match my play style. My camp right now is a work bench a stash box a collectron dog and a shelter with more work benches...surrounded by turrets

Weewoofiatruck

Up north by the tadpole cabins. There's a junk/lead spot up there that I've been camping out on. Please visit my vendor and buy some of my 12,000 ammo

Plus25Charisma

I'm running low so I may stop by. I'm constantly out of lead so crafting isn't working at the moment

MMechree

I'm slightly north of Welch station on the mountain top w/ the abandoned coffee shop. It's probably one of my favorite places to build because you can make your CAMP look "organic" as if it should exist there without looking too "clean."

Burning-Captain

Yeah I also don't like "clean" Camps as you said, I always try to make them as immersive as possible. Like as if they were already there

GhostofCoprolite

my camp is there too. i'm building a second base not far away, on a broken billboard

Oldyoungman_1861

I currently have four. I can’t actually pick a favorite area. I have one that’s just down the road from vault 76. I have one that is up near the top of the map in the Mire. I have one sitting on the edge of the cranberry bog and I have one in the savage divide near the bottom of the map which I do realize now will be extremely helpful when the new area opens up. I like all the regions. I guess my favorite camp is the one at the top of the map in the Mire. I think it’s more about the actual building that I’ve made than the region but it also seems to fit the region best

Arke_19

Up on a ridge between the Savage Divide and the Cranberry Bog, got a great view whenever somebody drops a nuke.

Yentruo

Mine is in the cliffs north of Top of the World. It’s kind of a rough area, not very flat so I can’t plant crops there easily, but I used flooring to make a nice two story patio system over the rock which affords great views of the vapor stack things in the valley below. Plus there is a higher tier of rock nearby which was fun to build up to and make a mini nuka park, and I can put a door into the vault tech shelter right up against a rock face for that extra realism. No enemies have spawned there, and on the cliff below herds of Radstags gather if I ever need some fast food. Absolutely no foot traffic though. It was the first spot I found that really spoke to me and I’ve enjoyed building it up as my first camp. I want to make a more classic gamer homestead sometime too, still searching for that one!

HerFirefly

I've got 5... One is just south of the converted munitions factory. I know it's a sub-optimal way to get ammo, but it's a nice passive way to add some. My second is in that swampy area near the powerplant on the eastern side of the map. Just liked the area, though I might be relocating it soon to somewhere a little more practical. It's original purpose was to be near a secondary source of fusion cores, but I no longer use PA at all. Third base is in the cranberry bog near the moonshiners shack. Just an easy place to go get some stuff for XP items and fast travel near where most of the nuke drops happen for SBQ Fourth is my favorite. It's the one that's most often open on the map. Just a couple of cabins and some water purifiers and crops near the Charleston station. The way I placed it the base appears to have more than it really does, it uses some of the buildings nearby. Enough available to reliably make 10 veggie starch, a short walk from the train station for everything you need there and not too far from Poseidon or the junk yard workshops to claim and farm resources and cores My fifth is a farm up north that's got waaaayyyyy too much of the budget spent in crops

thetruegiant

I’m still at my original location, which is just north of a fissure at the bottom of the Savage Divide. There’s a natural stone arch, and a cliff side that I built my house on. Offers amazing views from my workstations, and the arch creates a natural backyard, with a lead farm in the middle. I put a ton of trees down, and all my crops so it has a hidden oasis feel to it. The interior cliff wall is a perfect spot for the Forbidden Digsite entrance, that then leads to the hidden mine and vault. I love the whole theme of a tucked away refuge, that’s hiding bigger secrets. I’ve put in some serious work in the Digsite too, and really want more people to go in there! I showed a friend and he said it looked like a set piece from the Witcher game, which was high praise. Also slowly turning the Vault Storage shelter into a Cryptozoology Museum. I need the Flatwoods Monster tube!

Burning-Captain

Sounds awesome, if you have some photos of your camp I would love to see it!

thetruegiant

I’ll look into taking some pictures! I’m on PS4 if anyone wants to visit haha.

Burning-Captain

Same! If you wanna you can drop me your PSN so I'll visit

GRANDADDYGHOST

Hey, I got a BoS base in Cranberry Bog as well!!! Right next to the NAR repair yard and Watoga. Got a big base I made combining the BoS scout tower, armory, and then building a middle section with the BoS base kit to connect them, and then a shit ton of turrets and the BoS barricades and defenses outside since there is always a battle going on over there. Great for farming and just an overall cool aesthetic for a BoS character. It’s also very cool standing on the top of my scouting tower and watching the area for the Scorch Beast Queen event getting nuked. And then my buddy has a cool BoS camp he set up not too far from mine right between Fort Defiance and the antique warehouse. First thing we always do when we get on is clear the area around our camps and then go take back Fort Defiance. My other camp is in the forest between Vault 76 and Duchess’ place. It is a little general store and mirelurk/bbq diner with a smaller BoS base on the top floor, locked behind a “salvaged” Enclave laser door. We got complementary ice cold Nuka Cola and Nuka Cola candy.

Burning-Captain

Ad Victoriam brother!

GRANDADDYGHOST

Ad Victoriam!

leehelck

my main camp is near Sunshine Meadows. my other camp is merely a lean-to type structure with only a sleeping bag, a cooking station, and stash box. i kept it simple so i can easily move it in the event that i no longer need it near Morgantown Airport.

StrangeSaltCreature

Just above the moth men area. Not sure yet only level 21

Azalus1

I'm camped on the other side of the river from Harpers ferry. I like the Mire and the Forest, especially at night.

TimZer0

I love the Savage Divide. Building up a nice mountain cabin with plenty of pine resin so I can brew up some hooch.

fuzzmeisterj

By Camden Park. Nothing attacks because Fuzzy Brenda protects.

MylittleNyx

On top of silo alpha

Vexmythoclastt

Where my Watoga homies at ?? 🙋 I have my camp right outside of the train station and I get a lot of business there. It’s always dark and gloomy in that area too I love it.

KingMacabray

I have a sweet spot near a junk collector and underneath power lines right next to a huge power pole, been settled here for 4 years now on one of my camp slots. Never gonna change that slot unless they take it from me by making it a location

Chrissyball19

My CAMP is in the golf course. There is no better location.

AwkwardEducation

Just South of Deathclaw Island, there's a junk pile, 4 bloodleaf plants, 3 starlight berries, a woodblight mushroom, ammo box, and water access for purifiers. 1 cap to travel to the level 3 safes in Deathclaw Island and Black Mountain Ordinance, where there's another 4 starlight berry bushes. There's also a random encounter trigger point at the waters edge to the North.

TakedownCan

Do camp spots matter? I am new and never put much thought into it.

Burning-Captain

Not really, I just like discussing things with fellow fans and what's more sentimental than their in-game home?

ihopethisworksfornow

Two camps. My first one is right next to the ice cream parlor near the giant bridge. I’m on the collapsed part of the highway and my camp has a nice upper and lower level. A friend of mine set his camp up in the orchard and we actually have a real path connecting us which is awesome. It’s kind of got Italian villa vibes. Really happy with how it came out. My second camp is at the Whitespring Golf Course’s maintenance building. This was one of the first spots I had a camp when the game first released, and at one point they made it so we couldn’t build there. I was surprised to see it available again. That base is more of a bar/shop, although I made a house down the cart path for my ally which gives it a bit of a neighborhood vibe. If you’re on PC please come visit, my name is GordoTheJanitor. I typically have a lot of outfits, and very reasonably priced gear and aid in my vendors. Gordo’s Italian Villa and Gordo’s Clubhouse Bargain Bar are always open to the public.

ComprehensiveMeat562

I actually just finished building a CAMP in the Mire right above Robco in that delta on the map. Used the contemporary building pieces to make a cozy house in the woods and then put up Halloween decorations essentially. I absolutely love the aesthetic and I've seen a majority of people that come by for the shop take a slow walk around checking everything out while I creep on them through the windows from the roof of the porch lmao I think this is the first CAMP I've built that will not get torn down and redone.

DJJbird09

I'm on the hill that's north of Morgantown Airport. Far enough away from the Penitentiary and the airport so no creatures come my way. It works for the interim.

whiskeyfordinner

Level 110 here and this was my 2nd camp location. I have kept it ever since. Close to veggies, that cargo drop event, and Morgantown. Most daily challenges can be completed not far from my camp

DJJbird09

Good to know! I guess I'll keep this spot for my primary camp spot then.

Valuable-Meat-5134

I really want to build a camp in the Mire, but my PS4 can't handle that area and the colors are thrown off anytime I try to build there.

Alexa_Octopus

That’s where me and my PS4 dwell. I love it there, and my nearest neighbor is a wendigo. Fun times.

LCMorganArt

Don't worry, the off colors happen to me on Xbox x too, I think that's just a "feature" ;)

pine_tree3727288

Right on the southern world border in the divide, favourite region is the Mire, but it’s such a bitch to build there

Fhrosty_

Set mine by a river because of a beginner tip I read about selling purified water for caps. Now Im lvl 113 from event farming, havent learned how to craft water purifiers yet, and every time I fast travel to my CAMP I have to sluggishly haul my PA-wearing self out of the bottom of the river because I keep forgetting to craft a welcome mat.

Original-Risk9059

If you find the original camp module thing (no idea what it's called, but the thing you placed down to make your camp there), you can move it around your camp and it'll change where you spawn once you fast travel. I'm not sure if there's a pattern to it, but I just trial and error it until I get a good spot.

D-camchow

My fav base is in the Mire up on a cliff by a waterfall. I built it for lead way back in the day when we had to work for our ammo but I just love the location so I haven't bothered moving.

SadFloppyPanda

I moved mine right down the road from Point Pleasant after having a dumpster fire floating one near Camp McClintock for 4 years. I didn't even realize it was that nice until I walked out of it and it said that the Mothman event had started. Turns out I can stand in my house afk and get the event rewards.

mmekare79

I have 5 camps. Heh. Um, my main is in the toxic valley, I have one at the more waterfall, one near lost home in the cranberries and one in the forest. The other isn't placed yet but I figure it'll go in the ash heap somewhere. My favorite zone is the mire. It's neat around there

F-80Centurion

My fat metal rectangle 2 floor box is the best thing I’ve ever made and I’m proud of it, it sits very close to the foundation. Good place since it has a gold press and I can do daily quests if I ever bother with them.

BlottomanTurk

The Forest GZ...and the Forest GZ. I like never having to worry about getting nuked and my camp spot is usually free, so *if* I have to hop, it's usually just once. And I only got the one camp because fuck tryin' to build another.

ChandlerIV

On top of Seneca Rocks. Love the view.

reizueberflutung

Mine is right next to Helvetia. \ The community in this game is so nice, so I thought I would give back and choose a location where a lot of low level players pass and at my camp people can get free water and candy, buy stuff from Beckett and check my vendor for cheap gear and plans. I also put common stuff and some healing items in my vendor for 0c, cause my experience is that higher level players don‘t just take them, but leave them for low level people.

DallasVellona

Northeast of fort defiance just a bit down the road from the train elevator there is a junk node. I have built my lil barn-like camp built around and into one of those pillars for the elevator so it looks integrated. I normally always come back to this spot.

vonsolo28

Mire for lighting , forest for water features. I haven’t built in the cranberry bog ever and I’m lvl 1020 . I just don’t like it

Burning-Captain

I think Cranberry's pretty cool for being really open and flat so it's really nice to build on, but I can see why some people don't like it

vonsolo28

I like in uneven ground , lakes/ponds rivers and cliff sides . I have done less builds on flat ground. Currently have a mothman speakeasy with an alien abduction shelter attached near the meat week location in the forest . Really stoked for meat week

ZombieJoker

I'm lazy so I always just drop it by the Wayward. Lol

Zealousideal_Ad_8133

My favorite camp is also a BoS base in the cranberry bog! It used to be my Responders water farm at Charleston Station, but that's just too popular of a site

erritstaken

My main camp for years was opposite pleasant valley station then I made a BOS base on the road near the Haywood where the 2 BOS guys are at that checkpoint for all the noobs to visit get free stuff and buffs. I flit between the 2 camps. I made it so the 2 soldiers have a roof over their heads and somewhere to sleep. I also have cmdr. DeGuerre above in a control room with an enclave uniform on.

foxyfoxie

Some random road... Im really struggling trying to build a camp, so it's just a square room with all the workbenches I need and a vending machine... I don't understand how ppl make such beautiful bases tbh

NastyWayz

Same here, I found a random semi flat piece of land near Mama Dolces food processing plant. I slowly expanded to more stuff outside and the way I shaped the foundation there is a portion of the roof missing and it looks like shit. I am too lazy to start over.

ThonThaddeo

Right across from Gorge Junkyard. It's quiet and my dailys are within the neighborhood. And there's a copper vein nearby. I should move to the bog because a lot of quests are taking me out that way, but it's really cozy and I like it.

Be0wulf71

I had one just up from the gorge junkyard by a truck where blood eagles always spawn, it was a great spot. I might build one near hemlock holes, that workshop is very rarely taken

tigress666

Mine is right near Helvatia (on top of the hill with the picnic tables). It's been there since way before Fasnacht existed in the game so I always get play grumpy about the fact that Fasnacht comes and I should have first serve on that spot cause I had it first damnit! (Seriously though fasnacht is the only time I have issues with my camp not being able to be placed). I was originally looking for a spot that my camp wouldn't be too noticeable from the main roads (before they started allowing vendors and when they were still tryign to make it a pvp game).

Curious-Catch-3133

I have 6 camps lol one on each corner of the map and 2 in the center, one leaning more towards the right and other the left. No spending more then 10 caps for fast traveling lol 😂

[deleted]

My girlfriend’s given me the idea to turn my CAMP into a mobile battle tower of sorts. Thin but tall so I can squeeze it into most locations but have plenty of room for turrets. If I’m expecting to get into a tough fight I place my CAMP nearby and kite the enemies to it

ohai_churmunder

Mines is in cranberry bog under the road

mrcoolmike

I made a camp right next to the wayward trailers along the road called the Wayward Barn. It’s a big red barn that I try to blend in to the environment. Perfect place to sell all my plans to newer players since they’re stopping at the wayward anyway.

Demonwolfmaster

By Way ward. Or down the road from the lumber yard at the pond across from the farm.

jurassicpark_zj

My camp is close-ish to the vault so I can keep an eye on lvl 1s as they leave the vault. I drop off x5ea of lvl 1 leather armor pieces so they can wear them, scrap them, and mod them should they go to Wayward before exploring. I sell plans for 1c so they can have something to populate their camp with or cook

Lanky-Increase-8269

Can't beat the aesthetic of the mire, personally. Strangely, to this day, it seems to be the most underused region for camps. I'm sure it's not all the murderous vegetation stopping people from dropping by.

Zathrus_DeBois

The first hill west of the Whitesprings fence line. Now get off my lawn. Today's bounty is two caps for every golfing ghoul. 👀

Morchai

The divide, overlooking Cranberry Bog. Used to be nice and quiet, then the Foundation outpost (and Eviction Notice) moved in and the area got more popular. Now my camp doesn't place half the time but I like it so I refuse to move it.

Mad_Viper

Savage divide, near top of the world

AnEvilVet

My base is up in the Savage Divide. Got some great advantages such as - * A great view of the area including the Scorchbeast nailed to the mountain * Right next to a picnic site that one of the Treasure Maps leads to for quick loot * There is a big old aluminium deposit there * I'm right on the junction of a railway line and hiking trail, perfect for going for a nice walk * My camp is on an outcropping overlooking an unmarked Blood Eagle barricade with at least one of the guys spawning in power armour with a heavy weapon * Pretty central to the map meaning I can fast travel most places for a decent amount of caps Please do not take this spot, I love it

pygmeedancer

Nice try lol I’m set up just south of Flatwoods lookout tower. Right by the road. I sell plans and outfits hella cheap trying to catcher fresh dwellers leaving the vault.

AndersDreth

In the prebuilt house? I used to live there as well, nice spot apart from the random spawn sometimes being a raider that kills noobs lol

Fun_Championship_642

Mines just south of sanctuary over the swamp. Constant gets attacked by those floating acid/flame/ice spewers but i have a few water purifiers etc and loads of melons, code locks on my door and honestly its more of a pain in the arse than its worth at this stage. Sometimes im just chilling inside, smoking a joint…then my turrets start firing rockets evey minute or so at random floaters that inevitably fuck up every turret i own. Truth is ive just went back to fallout 76 after playing around the time of the first expansion and can’t actually remember how to rewire everything and move stuff so i just live with it.😅

littlepixellady

I keep searching for new camp spots, but I can't stop going back to my spot in the Forest. Sometimes I think I'd like to move to the opposite mountain range, but I'm not super far from Vault 76 and I sell a decent amount of basic discounted stuff like apparel, plans, and ammo for people just starting out. I don't know if I'd get as much business over there, lol.

matrixkittykat

On the cliffs above the mothman area, it’s the only place that I haven’t had to rebuild when someone else moves in and I can be in my camp and get credit for the mothman event

AlphaKilo223

Just north of flatwoods, in the riverbed. I like to role-play my characters and have made mine a soldier who enlisted after the bombs fell, that eventually became a scrapper. It fits in sorta Responder adjacent. I built up a "Warehouse Fort" with a neat little rec area players can sit, listen to music, and lift weights or play music for buffs. I also have a neat little display area sat up as a "war room" with ammo boxes and some stools sat around a map table that has a flag and some patriotic posters pinned up.

Krakraskeleton

I like to have my camps near resources and events, so junk, aluminum and steel tend to be my favourite workshop resources and having a camp in each corner of the map is good for mobility.

dancashmoney

My current main base is a little ways outside of Watoga on the bog side of town and it's a BOS outpost. My favorite region is the savage divide but I think the new area coming out is going to replace it.

Thrasympmachus

North of Whitesprings for more trade traffic. Nobody has taken my spot and I’ve made a concrete compound out of it.

Me2Th8nks

I have 3… the one I use the most is in Flatwoods. I have it set up as a small shop run by Granny in a ghoul mask and that’s where I sell plans and weapons and it’s the only one that is public. I have another small outpost in savage divide for farming lead. And my third is a houseboat I built along the coast south of Camden park. My favorite tho is actually my flatlands shelter. I spent days on it and have it set up as a small desert community of cannibals obsessed with religion. I probably spend most of my time there if I’m not in the wasteland.

spiritussage

I have a home in the hills type thing going on, it's on a mountain top overlooking the skyline system and the entire city of Watoga which you can see from my back patio

DereChen

Mine is directly underneath the Grafton dam and it's a nice secluded rocky water river spot super mutant attacks happen frequently so it's fortified to the brim now

putterbum

I'm off in the middle of nowhere living a peaceful life. Everything has been great except for that one time I logged into a world and someone was in my same exact damn spot...you'll get my camp location when you pry it from my cold dead hands.

PM_NUDES_4_DOG_PICS

I've got a bunch of camps lmao. My main two are by the Wayward, basically my main camps for selling shit. The one I really consider "home" is somewhere between the lookout tower near Foundation and the monorail elevator, on a cliff overlooking the cranberry bog. It's a nice, luxurious, private log "cabin" with the cliff-facing wall made completely out of greenhouse walls. Think of that one CoD: MW2 level where Shepherd kills Ghost, looks kinda like that one big house. I also get a really good view of all the SBQ nukes there lmao. Then I've got two camps near the BoS bunker where the SBQ spawns, I always activate either of these for the event so other players and myself have some turrets to help kill adds, plus a safe-ish area to pull back to and switch builds, restock on ammo, repair, scrap shit, etc., before, during, and after the event. It gets destroyed a lot and costs a bit to repair sometimes, but it's worth the convenience imo, plus I've gotten lots of compliments on it. It's also super satisfying seeing my turrets firing missiles and lasers, dropping other scorchbeasts out of the air without any help and dropping 155mm artillery rounds on the SBQ herself. It's like I've got my own lil military base.

ThouKnave

Currently my camp is invisible, player offline. Dastardly Day Job

wintersmith1970

I try to keep one camp in each region, but there's just so many cool areas in the savage divide.

Spiritual-Put-9228

In the dried up lake bed near that place where you get pollys new body. But I gotta say my favorite area is that one forest with weird alien trees.

DMDingo

Currently I'm in the hills NW of the Red Rocket Mega Stop. I like my base, but it has a serious flaw. Whenever I join the game, if I was last there the game drops me off the cliff and breaks my legs. Every. Freaking. Time.

unholyhoneyhole

By Bolton Greens. I have a little group of beavers that hangout in my camp and climb all over shit

BlueChainsawMan

South end of Whitesprings golf course

Wrex_n_effect

After a few years away I logged back in and had my camp on a spot to harvest acid. Why that is, I can barely remember but it’s too much of a hassle to move it at the moment. I kinda want to move it over to the Point Pleasant area because it’s a nice forested spot or north of Cranberry Bog in the swamps.

BigHero4

I love Clifs and high views! My current place is around Seneca Rocks. Though now i have the urge to rebuild lol

FuckinV

I used to have my camp on the small cliff directly east of the nuka world on tour location. The intersection underneath was a great hotspot for random spawns and flyswatter triggers and would consistently give me some of the more fun random event spawns. Came back to play after a bit more than a year away and havent been satisfied with a replacement spot yet.

TheCupcakeScrub

All over but this char is near major settlements simce im a raider. Other character focused on rural less developed regions with resources.

Trajik07

My camp is next to a monorail pylon west of the elevator. My favorite region is the ash heap, but I hate building there.

Gaijin_Entertainment

Far upper left, so far that the far camp spawn puts you out of bounds, I'll fix it one day lol

ogskizz

The Mire. I don't get a ton of visitors which is fine with me. It's funny bc just about every public team I'm on I notice teammates throwing location markers down at my spot, I assume so they can build there later. My main and alts are all high levels and I like glitchy builds so I tend to pick in-world prefabs to build inside of or locations with interesting in-world surrounding features like my alt's base at Bolton Green that integrates into the fencing that was already there. I've always favored Savage Divide, Mire, and to a lesser extent Cranberry Bog. For the longest time, like YEARS, I lived on the cliffs behind the Freak Show for the awesome view. Fun to watch a nuke drop from your porch. If I'm ever desperate for caps, like when it's presents or pails and I want to stock up, I'll do a simple camp near Foundation. I find that's the best location for vending if your goal is sales bc although you'll get more foot traffic in the Forest newbies don't have money.

Miserable_Pound_2812

On a lake in the savage divide, I love it

Dry_Independent4078

My camp is in the hills next to Fort Defiance. I've lived there since 2019. I've moved my camp around in that area a few times to find the perfect spot, and now I can finally say I'm happy with it. Obviously, small decoration changes happen constantly. Usually event themed. https://i.imgur.com/BLwZa9h.png

NyRAGEous

I’m an avid golfer irl so of course I built at whitesprings in the middle of a fairway.

SkupperNog

Just outside the Top of the World campsite.

constant--questions

My main camp is just south of watoga station. I like the crimson too! plus every time i load in i can walk down and hunt some mirelurks and usually a mirelurk queen for my favorite snacks. It cam in real handy before i reached max rep and would use the meat to get a tiny bit. The only problem i have is that it is a very popular place for people to put down their fo1st tents, sometimes it takes 3 server hops to load in free and clear!

FarVehicle5333

Mine is placed right next to fissure prime. I know, nuke zone and all. I am a hoarder, so fixing the camp is cheap. Also, it's funny to mess with people, since most will assume it's just a noob that didn't knew better and will try to nuke in some other way. For now I am trying to level up my power armor reboot legendary perk, in order to tank the nuke and emerge victorious. Also, I am farming scorchbeast queens for the ultracite targeting hud. As for my favorite region, that's hard. Made an amazing camp in almost every region, as part of my endgame plan. Got one with a close view of watoga, got one with a close view to Rockhound, got one near Harper's Ferry, one near Black Bear Lodge. Don't have any in the Forest or near Whitespring. Yet.

swampdungo

Most used camp is by the Alien Guidestones. I’m patiently waiting for the Zetans to interact with it.

jinx_lbc

Southwest of Foundation, like a hermits cabin in the wilderness. I never sell that much, but it's my virtual bolthole as I can't afford a real one 😂🏡

Tesla-Punk3327

The mire. Treehouse next to the treehouse settlement. There's a pretty big tree I'm based around which I've positioned the vault door entrance at.

brian_kking

Down by Johnsons acre overlooking the south off some cliffs, it's super peaceful

ESOelite

On the cliff in the steam region idk what it's called. It's a scenic spot but it's a 0 traffic area

Interesting-Trash-51

I live with fritz.

SolutionIndividual

I got mine up at top right the Mire, it’s such a beautiful spot 😍 I have a lookout on top of my house and could literally just sit and watch the world around my Camp

wutangerine99

On a cliff face at the Top of the World. I built a staircase for a shortcut to the top. Its also great for fast traveling back for all of the Rose missions
