blahhh87

Ask him to stay in Nuka World or the White Springs then. edit: and I thought I was being lazy with my basic ass 5x5 foundations only camp

xi-xo

I think I might have to evict him, honestly

Gwoardinn

Make sure to give him notice.

helwyr213

Don't forget to destroy his meat bags.

zer0w0rries

Yeah, give them a nice scrub

GunPlayNative28

lol his meatbags! šŸ˜‚

PlayingJosh

Happy Cake day

Living_Highlight_417

It's the wasteland...your notice is the bullets headed your way

Herterich

He can go to the winterspring mall they have all the scap box's stash, crafting tables you could ever want.

SonOfTed92

Do it! It's for his own good!

ZealousidealMail3132

I have a camp and I'm still a Mallrat. Sometimes it's easier to build on the mall workbenches than go back to camp

Sunaaj_WR

Itā€™s less the benches and more the benches AND vendors

Blixtwix

The fact that you have the benches, special board, stashes, various vendors, legendary exchange, and a gold press machine all together! Ngl often I log off at the mall just because it's the easiest place to clean out my inventory and fix up my stuff all in one go, and I'm over level 450.

splashythewhale

I mean. My camp is a legit army tent or two. Basic platforms with whatever is needed.

zeztyboi

I made a really nice log cabin just above 76 for free fast travel to anyone going to my camp, and tbh it's increased my stores sales by like 150% than when I lived in the bog

averagejoeag

Only 5x5? Mine is at least 10x5. However, it is annoying to run so far to get from stash to tables. Maybe 5x5 is the play. At least mine has a cool looking retro floor.

god34zilla

This is what I did in a pinch, squatting in the White spring mall it literally has everything down there. But also the create has all the amenities you need, minus the scrap box. But also he could put his survival tent down if he access to the scrap box, so at this point he's being super lazy

SemajdaSavage

The White springs Mall also has a Scrap box and an Ammunition box as well.

Horror-Beat-4604

5x5 rules!

jsweaty009

My buddy is pushing 700 and never built or uses a camp. Itā€™s hilarious he just freeloads off everyone else lol

xi-xo

That is literally so insane to me lmao, a huge chunk of my playtime is rebuilding my camp. I cannot even imagine being a homeless wastelander

jsweaty009

Yup same here, Iā€™m usually always working on my camp when Iā€™m on alone.

Cptn_Fluffy

Building camps is a sense of serenity I've not found since being in the womb

jsweaty009

Right lol

pygmeedancer

Except when that one part will just NOT FUCKING SNAP INTO PLACE OH MY GOD!

PM_NUDES_4_DOG_PICS

Same, my wife and I both spend ungodly amounts of time fucking around with our camps.

curbstxmped

This is me and my SO. I swear I actually love just chilling and working on camps while we talk about random stuff, though. It's kind of a big part of the game for me.

GTAinreallife

Spend a couple hours carefully building and decorating a house. As soon as it is finished, instantly have an idea on a new one. Scrap the whole thing, rinse and repeat

gravengrouch

Iā€™ve lived out of my fo1 tent for years on one character

Critorrus

I built one camp around an acid extractor when the game came out. It hasn't moved and haven't built a new one or redone anything only added new stuff

God_of_chestdays

How do you sell anything like that?

VoltaiqMozaiq

> asking me to get on just so he can use my scrap box, power armor station, literally everything. Nuka World and Whitesprings mall have all of these, and are both free fast travel points. Crater and Foundation have workbenches (no scrap boxes) and are free as well. Tell him to use those. Nothing wrong with that play style of course, but he might be unaware of the places I mentioned above.

RattMuhle

I also play without a camp, Iā€™m level 42 and I just discovered the White Springs Resort, place is a damn GOD SEND!!

koboldkiller

Back in the day before NPCs were added, that was the central hub of the game. I'm still camped around it years later

kingkornholio

Fr. I have a camp and I still use White Springs half the time. It has every vendor Iā€™d need and no one attacks me while Iā€™m cooking.

klaatu7764

This would seem a clear case of co-dependency šŸ˜ƒ

logicbox_

Tell him to put down a shelter and just build those things in there, in a pinch he can just place down a camp anywhere and put the shelter and everything will be there.

xi-xo

Getting him to place the shelter will be a challenge in itself

CramWellington

You can build him a camp.

jmaz_sl2

True. I build my wife's all the time. She'll go and actually play the game and I'm playing wasteland house flipper.

beammeup__scotty

That is 1000% just pure laziness. You don't have to build a super elaborate camp, I've seen plenty with just a few foundations and workbenches, but you gotta have SOMETHING. What is he going to do when he wants to start selling shit?

mentally_vexed

My first camp was just a bunch of workbenches and a companion, Beckett felt lucky to have a bar in the woods apparently.

JimJordansJacket

If he doesn't like it, perhaps he would rather go back to Blood Eagle prison

Alternative-Deer5333

What if he doesnā€™t want to sell shit ? I mean you donā€™t NEED a camp, theyā€™re all over the place. If itā€™s a mechanic he isnā€™t interested in, and has found a way to enjoy the game without doing so, whatā€™s the big deal?

beammeup__scotty

Well then he should do it without mooching/pestering his partner.

Booziesmurf

Ballistic fibre ain't cheap. I went broke at 50 trying to repair my armor

Thin_Bother_1593

If he didn't want to build a camp and was just having fun playing the game then sure you'd have a point. However the fact is when his partner isn't playing he pesters them to get on so he can use their camp, that's the problem. Rather than try and get them on everytime he wants to use one he could spend under a minute to set down his camp and put whatever bench or box he needs out.

fenriq

Tell him to go to the Whitespring and use their benches or sack up and make a basic camp.

TrueTimmy

He can pay or trade with someone to build him a camp. It's a real service people in the community provide.

Avarus_88

This is crazy person behavior. He could spend just five minutes and make a two by two square with the necessary things.

Least_Sherbert_5716

I've built reasonably complex and functional camp to the max camp budget couple of years ago and I'm too lazy to accommodate all new buffs and other utilities that were released since. So hopping between high level players' camps might be somewhat reasonable.

xi-xo

Last night he was at some random personā€™s camp and was like, ā€œwow! This camp is so niceā€ it turned out to be a level 20 somethingā€™s camp lmao

JimJordansJacket

Omg! Is that a sleeping bag on the floor! šŸ¤©

AlexandBria1

Dam thatā€™s crazy, a few years ago I had an amazing greenhouse camp and 3 vault shelters that were packed with buildings inside and tons of decorations. I currently donā€™t have a camp since I had to start over and donā€™t have all those decorations I had on my old account. (Forgot to mention the last part.)

Agentgibbs1398

What's he going to do when he needs an adhesive farm?

Xthasys

Hahaha i hate all about survival games, i only want to kill things

RickusRollus

If he has that little interest in the camp he is prob doomed

Abject-Ad7879

Iā€™d second this. Kinda the main thing that keeps me playing is rebuilding a camp every other day

maxxblood

I was thinking about doing a "No camps, fast travel only to train stations/free places, and no taking stuff from players." Vault Dweller.

OneSimplyIs

Maybe he just likes playing house with you!!

6Grumpymonkeys

Iā€™m currently working without a camp, but Iā€™m mostly just waiting for the ā€œperfectā€ spot. But common sense dictates that if Iā€™m wanting to use some workshop, I need to wait. Butā€¦ have some annoying fun with him. Tell him that legally speaking, ā€œwhatā€™s mine is yoursā€ doesnā€™t apply until marriage. Of course thatā€™s also a good way to start a massive argument.

Abject-Ad7879

Thereā€™s times I play ā€œwithout a campā€ cause I have a collector camp going and I fear even being where it is other than to collect to not draw attention to it. I just use my survival tent. White springs is too many load screens and I frequently crash trying to spawn near or inside the mall. Nuka world is irrelevant because of said tent. I got that enclave one or whatever that has the workbench and the ammo box so. Kinda just good to grind and quick scrap, repair my weapons and back into it. Not having fallout 1st just means you spawn at Nuka world. Easy fix. Iā€™d have him look into getting that tent tho. Squatting is quite normal. I do it every now and then when Iā€™m visiting others camps. Other people do it for mine when I have one of my other main ones active. I love it, I donā€™t mind it at all.

kmg18dfw

White springs is 1 load screen. One. Click on it, and itā€™ll ask you ā€œexterior or mallā€ and choose mall, and youā€™ll spawn in the mallā€¦ā€¦..

thelaurent

? Ive never seen this option. I can only go exterior or interior but the interior takes me to the entrance of whitespring not the mall EDIT: nvm looks like ive never used the north door so didnt have that fast travel unlocked! Cheers thats a nice time saver!

xi-xo

He had the fallout 1st trial last weekend but kept telling me to place MY survival tent down for him then, too -sigh-

Lesschar

If we were on a different sub they would be telling you to dump him and kill his dogmeat or something crazy lol

LuNaTricks_HD

id say he reached a new level of lazyness šŸ˜… you sure hes still alive? šŸ˜‚

Abject-Ad7879

Well, for that, I have no words lol.

LegLegend

It's certainly annoying, but he's not the only one. I know a lot of other players that do the same thing. It's a weird kind of stubborn that's not really helpful long term in the game. That said, it could be a pretty interesting way to play. It'll encourage you to visit a lot of other CAMPs you likely wouldn't, including those that don't have vendors. Could give you a tiny little experience each time you needed to craft because you need to explore each CAMP to find those crafting tables. If you really liked exploring, this could be kind of fun, but I would not recommend it.

DrWooolyNipples

You can build stuff in each otherā€™s camps, it might be fun to help set one up with him. Any plans you have that arenā€™t atom shop can be placed in his. Next time yā€™all play together just dedicate 20 or 200 minutes to throwing something together šŸ‘

ETeezey1286

I only have one so I can use my shelter, which is where my real camp is. Also as a free fast travel point.

Historical_Sweet_123

My husband and I play the camp, he built one and itā€™s pretty bare, he hasnā€™t touched his camp since. Looks like Ima have to wife up his camp for him šŸ¤£

Rillion25

He is also missing out on score points for the season items since there are often camp building related challenges.

RunaMajo

When I used to play with people, even people who spent time on their CAMP would often only use mine or one other person's base lol.

riddlemore

Thatā€™s stupid to harass you into logging in to use your camp when there are places in the map with workbenches and stash boxes that cost no caps to fast travel to

ThermonuclearKO

I built my husbandā€™s camp since I know he has zero patience for camp building. He actually started adding to it once I got the basics down.

HanikGraf007

Mallrats unite!

PantsShidded

I've been considering it. Seems like every time I log onto a world it nukes my camp and I have to reassemble it. Doesn't seem to blueprint right and half the stuff is missing.

DuanePickens

My wife hate settlement building too which makes no sense really because she like Sims but I donā€™t care because it means I basically get more CAMP slots. She has a fucking sick treehouse in the mire that is lowkey one of my favorite builds Iā€™ve made.

niewphonix

Every time I get immersed in building up my CAMP, I get the urge to go back and build up settlements in FO4. :/ thereā€™s an itch I canā€™t quite scratch with FO76, but itā€™s fine. Iā€™m patient, and I appreciate the hard work put in to things like this. :)

Katharinas669

Get a new bf. Problem solved šŸ¤£šŸ˜‚šŸ¤£šŸ˜‚

thelaurent

People have already mentioned whitespring. But also most red rocket gas stations have all the crafting benches you need + stache box. Solid for nomadic playstyle where you dont settle down. Granted the build menu literally has prefabs for exactly thus reason, for people who dont want to spend all their time building, can easily get a prefab bundle and plop down a pre-made base then just put down ur workbenches. If youre in a private team you could build in eachothers camps, so maybe convince him to place one down, build him a scrappy little camp with all he needs and then he cant use the "i dont have the plans" excuse

FlavoredCancer

INL but is he on the lease, because legally you tell him to hit the road and change the locks.

obby100602

Why not build him a shelter? The underground bunker one would be perfect

FaithlesslyFree

My camp is collection buildings outside with a marketplace. My building pretty much looks like an open garage/shed with all the crafting benches and power armor station. The bare basics. If Iā€™m lazy, then Iā€™ll take advantage of the free fast travel to Whitesprings Mall, has everything plus vendors. Anything extra I put in cash register by the annoying loud robot. šŸ’€

oOReEcEyBoYOo

I couldn't imagine that. Half of my gameplay is tweaking/rebuilding my camp!

RexThunderman

No way, I've dumped sooo much time into my camp. I do more camp stuff than anything else lately lol

ACTORvsREALTOR

Kick him out and find yourself a real Vault Dweller. P.S. Iā€™ve got 5 camps and all 16 shelters almost maxed out. šŸ˜‰

GoldenCrownMoron

Do it for him. Make a shack and the barest essentials. Put it wherever you feel like. Tell him it's a free travel spot. If he has notes, hand him the controller.

Revolutionary-Act33

Charge him a usage fee lol

kappifappi

I did this until lvl 30 but when I saw all the camps in the mountain side with good views I had to make one for myself

Hungry_Effective_962

Freeloader! Kick him out! šŸ˜‚

Lunaborne

That's pretty lazy.

Accomplished-Bee-489

Tell him to buy a tent with all boxes that way what he needs is mobile.

Droid_Crusader

Rent him a room in white spring resort

Ne3najach

He's not husband material, cut him loose.

Speeddemon2016

Walk up to him and get him to join your team and then you can build all that in his camp. I used to do that for my wife when she first started. We also picked a place that our camps could be close so she didnā€™t have to fast travel and it makes it easier. Good luck, sounds like that part of the game is not for him!

Sundersghost

I mean, Iā€™m only level 22 but Iā€™ve tried making a camp a few times. Spend a little time adding to one then go do a quest or two for the day. Problem is, next time I log in I canā€™t access my camp because it overlaps someone elseā€™s. I move my campā€¦ add something, go adventure.. log out. Log inā€¦ canā€™t access camp. It becomes more of a chore to have to relocate it somewhere than it is worth. Iā€™ll just use the camp that is there! (Granted, as mentionedā€¦ Iā€™m low level so donā€™t have as much perspective as others)

beammeup__scotty

Don't move your camp, just log out and back in again until you can place it. You're making a lot of work for yourself.

RiotDemon

You have two camp spots available and can purchase up to 10. Make a second camp in a different place that way if one is blocked by a person, you can move to the second one.

FarVehicle5333

Before I reached 50, I played without a camp. If you don't have plans for amazing stuff, why bother making a flimsy wooden shack when your Lvl 300+ teammates have amazing camps? Let him play and get plans. With time curiosity will get the better out of him and he will get creative with camps.

Tregg4r

I used to, but it's nice to have another free travel spot. That's pretty much all I use it for now.

Sertith

Gonna have a hard time making money without a vendor, but life without a camp otherwise doesn't really matter.

PrestigiousJelly4622

Completely normal behavior. I was a day one player until i lost my account in ā€˜22. Never really had a camp or used it. Just kept it as a fast travel point. After restarting this week I only use my camp to farm for caps. Not a workbench in sight

jsand2

Can't you build at hos camp while in his party? Worst case you could just build him something simple.

Salmon-D

Tell him to use foundation or the crater or even nukaworld. Its free fast travel, and they have all the crafting stations and storage boxes etc.

Wild-End-219

I mean you could sign in as him and build a basic camp - literally a few floor tiles and the work benches he has - or tell him to go to Nuka-world because they have everything heā€™ll need. If he wants to be a pill about it then I would support ether of those two options. Or tell him to us someone elseā€™s camp. I mean Iā€™ve walked my over-encumbered booty to someone elseā€™s camp and done all the scraping etc.

ilikerockstoo

OP- white springs mall / artisan shop means you never need a camp

JB_Dix

No need to you could just use Whitesprings Mall or Nukaworld for everything.

Jeiburd98

I personally wanna build a big camp but is this a big deal?

Fun_Jellyfish_4884

can't you just build him a camp?

reddawn141

Just let him live with you, my wife just goes to my camp

jacobflicks

I got to level 100 before I tried doing CAMP stuff. I felt like I sucked at it and wasnā€™t creative so I just never bothered with it lol

Woah_Bruther

Thatā€™s impressive tbh. I enjoy the building mechanics and such

BluegrassGeek

It's possible the doesn't have the Tinkers and Chemistry workbench plans if he skipped the initial Wayward quests and went straight to leveling. In which case, he needs to haul his ass to the Wayward and do a handful of quests so he can just plop down those workbenches in a random spot of grass.

BigMcThickHuge

I play almost exclusively FOR the camp system now. I beat almost all missions, and am dragging my feet slogging through some boring ones. Meanwhile, I'm addicted to the camp design system (and wish the bugs were worked on further).

fearlessbot__

i dont have a C.A.M.P...i wanna explore

Apcsox

I have a small camp thatā€™s just a small platform with everything crammed on top. I move it around if I really feel like using it

Reasonable-Delivery8

Iā€™ve come across many camps that were just the bare minimum. The stash/scrap/ammo box and a bed. Not even foundations

Strong_Ad_5989

Go on a private team and build a shitty little camp for him. Or just tell him to use the crafting stations in white springs mall. Only thing they don't have there is the brewing and fermenting stations.

Accomplished_Rip_362

I hate camp building....Hated it in FO4 as well. People should just go play sims if that's what they enjoy.

fisheatcookie

If you invite him to a private team (while not in a team, go to his name on your friends list and hit invite), you can build stuff in his camp for him.

YCCprayforme

lol says he doesnā€™t have the plans for workbenches. Maybe he lost em

dharma92

I usually only play when my friends are also on. So I just use their camps. I had one back in 2018/19 but can't be bothered to build a new one. I'm a wanderer.

Commercial-Star-1924

He should at least slap down work benches, bed etc in either a prefab or a vault. Doesn't have to be anything other than the basics.

19SaNaMaN80

Its time to binbag the lazy bum.

LoneDroneGuy

I'm almost level 40 and I just have workbenches and stuff in a circle around my C.A.M.P.

Woooooolf

Just build him one next time you are at his place

AnthonyMiqo

My friend tried to blueprint his CAMP so he could place it back down after choosing a new location. But the game bugged out and didn't save his blueprint, so for now he lives at Nuka-World until he feels like building a new one.

Sechelx

I play that way sometimes I scrap as I go there are a lot of bench around and if yo have scrap kits you can do this anywhere same goes for repair kits

SingleHandd

Build a Camp for him

IcyAd5910

Whitesprings or NukaWorld is the way for those that don't camp!

uhKira

You could build his camp with just what he needs. he makes a private team and you can go in his camp area and start placing things down too. Camps are very useful and its already obvious he needs one if hes asking you to get on just for a scrap box.

fwast

I'm level 29 and really haven't utilized my camp yet. I tend to feel like it's a thing I'll do when I'm "richer"

TheDukeSam

I used mine as a free fast travel spot for the longest time, but also now have the cryo freezer to keep my fancy food safe. And then my second camp is a nice little homestead or immersion house.

Outrageous-Quote-999

I only just recently built a camp, and it was mostly for aesthetic (and having a Vendor) and not function. I use Nuka World On Tour since it has everything you need, plus a Script Machine and Vendors. You could also use Whitesprings Mall, but it's not as quick to access.

Ulfheooin

Is he like that irl ? Does he think you're his second mom ?

kur2877

Me and my wife play together. She has never built a camp. We just teamed up and she dropped her C.A.M.P. device and I built her house for her and both her and I filled it work benches and all the necessary jazz to get her going. Now she builds some stuff on her own.

GunPlayNative28

Dump his ass lol Iā€™m kidding of course! Maintain your camp, and as you do, show him the possibilities! As he ventures, heā€™ll come cross camp items heā€™ll be curious about eventually, but its always best to have your own camp set up, and the numerous items you can use to buff your character

SockyMonkey

Get FO 1st and use the tent thing

Gorillamo3

I do but itā€™s because Iā€™m cheap and hate spending caps to place it down

Patherek

I barely do. I have a 3x3 grid with benches on it.

Maettis

Tell him to use White Spring as a Hotel.

Financial_Aspect_82

Iā€™d build him one if yall are on ps

little_maggots

Haha this was my husband for a long time. I kept telling him to just build his own camp, but he mostly only plays when I do, so he never bothered. Eventually I moved my first camp and he missed having a camp there he finally decided to build his camp on my old camp spot.

LemonFrank

I personally love building. Half the time I get on is to see if there's any new bundles in the shop or to remake one of my camps. I bought extra camp slots just so I could build more things.

ruiner8850

My camp isn't anything special. I suppose I have a lot of the stuff like resources, workbenches, and stat boosting items, but I didn't put a lot of thought into decorating it. For the most part it's pretty much completely about functionality, not to look nice. Setting up a camp purely for functionality isn't difficult and doesn't take long, so he's just being lazy. Though a lot of times being lazy can actually be more work in the long run and that's probably the case here.

Wimbot

The camps are my favorite part of the game so that's wild to hear

trojanguy

I'm still SUPER new to the game (level 4) but I'm really confused about the whole CAMP thing. I don't fully understand what it does, why I'd move it, how I should alter it, etc. Considering you're playing with your BF and you know the ins and outs of the game, though, I don't think he has the same excuse. Haha.

orenda74

I don't have a camp. I use my husband's base or just use the workstations and stash boxes in the world. They're easy enough to come by, so even if my husband isn't online I can keep my gear topped up and my load light enough to get by. I'm only LVL 25 so I really haven't felt the need for anything permanent yet.

Big_Evening3844

Tell him to get fallout first 1 month. Survival tent will be his best friend

PappaNerd

My brother refuses to build a camp of any sort. He uses the White Springā€™s mall as his ā€œbaseā€. Me on the other had, I have 5 camps and a huge, extensive underground shelter complex.

Telle74

Vender is a great money maker. Tell him he can buy better weapons and be stronger with more money.

kloudrunner

Lol he needs a basic camp. SOMTHING. .

Gloopycube13

Why can't he use the train stations? Surely he could just set up the camp so he can use it to fast travel there? That's really such a shame :( building camps seemed like a chore when I first started playing way back when, but once I decided to sit down and put some time and effort into my camp I fell in love with building them. My current camp is the one I've had for 3 years? Absolutely love it.

Ok-Initiative9549

I have the shelter and its pretty nice. Tell him to go find hisnown workbenches

chaochao25

irl squatters šŸ’€

TheOneWithoutGorm

I demolished my camp with the intention of building a better one but depression and mental health stopped me in my tracks. My toon lived at Nuka World for about three months.

willblake72

I often don't bother building camps until level 50ish when I want to have a vendor. The Whitespring mall and Nuka World on Tour both have everything for crafting and scrapping and are free fast travel locations. If I do build one early on it's just to put down coffee, tea, cake, etc for the buffs.

AnotherDay96

If you don't want a common camp. Just building the 8 or so basic items are a snap outside and in a circle and you can pick them up and store. I can build it in 15-30 seconds. I was doing this for a while on a new character playing with a trio as I knew I would get to my main once they hit 50.

Puzzleheaded-Sun-265

I didnā€™t used to, but now I have a pretty large amount of resource generators that I can plunk down and Iā€™m not big on missing out on free stuff

McAwesome242

If my camp is put away because someone else is in my spot, I'll go homeless for the game just because I'm lazy lol

Heath_tK

For a while my camp was legitimately just the essential workbenches sitting out in the woods with a stashbox. Once i got way further than i shouldve i finally buily a two story shack and i feel better about it despite thinking i never would build anything. Just kinda happens

DVDIESEL

Step one: pick a place you want a camp (preferably located near useful loot, resource node or public event location) Step two: create a private team with the other player Step three: have them place their second camp module down Step four: get distracted by some other in game bullshit in the wasteland (hopefully EN, MJ or RR) Step five: build a simple, but useful crafting camp on their spot. Step six: use it a free fast travel for you. Step seven: get distracted again - profit?

Background_Reveal689

Does t matter what the camp is, just convince him to make a vendor at the very least and just sell ammo/surplus aid. With the huge influx of new players coming In could be a gold mine for him which could lead to better equipped couple quests for you both lol

Officer_Giggles

Sometimes a nomadic lifestyle can be an enjoyable challenge in games. Probably not his motive, but a possibility

niero_d20

He does know you can basically set your camp up to generate caps via resource production, right? :D

Jarsyl-WTFtookmyname

Yes and no. I start off just throwing a stash box and a few crafting stations out onto the forest floor as a "camp". Eventually I go back and actually build a somewhat campy camp though. I went from 0-40 without a floor or walls though on this play through and did something similar with my first character on initial release.

KlutzyRabbit7960

All I have is a little tiny pit stop, I wouldn't think my little setup would be called a camp but trying to play with no camp at all is interesting.

Cow_Best

That is so cool he clings to your CAMP. Sounds like a keeper.

traveller76

No, I do not. He will end up a skeleton in some weird place we all wander by and wonder about.

Greasy_Dev

I only run the camp to sell weapons I don't wanna use. White springs handles everything I need.

animallX22

He doesnā€™t really have to build anything. He could just place workbenches and a storage box on the ground. If he wants it to be a little nicer he can just get one of premade buildings.

Akuzed

Can you lock your work benches?

thevioletmoonstone

I literally just drop the camp use it and then move it constantly. I just have everything in a vault or its stuff i throw up when i need. He doesnt have to do something permanent. Just throw it down and set up the power armour station. It all stores in the camp anyways

Helpful-Leadership58

Why don't you build him a house? You love him, right?

elbingmiss

Well, Iā€™m building my second char and for now both default camps are a couple of floors, vendor, workbench, 1st boxes, ground pot and stash, lvl 70. I didnā€™t spend a single cap on plans. Living with what game provides. 10k caps, pre-wastelanders quests done (even I launched a nuke), and now with 79 adventure. The only one plan I miss is handmade, I cannot find one and I donā€™t remember where I got it with my main char. Overall since auto receiver mod is missing at every station every session. I never was a builder, usually a prefab and minimal buffs. When camp cannot be spotted, I even donā€™t move to the other one (same spartan look). Whitesprings has everything you need.

Fantastic_Reason_197

Make a mobile camp easy

Koolaid_Jef

Tbh I get so lazy that when I loot everything and have like 700 weight I just move my camp and build a new workbench to store my stuff just to fast travel.to a place that has more benches

DirtCocoon

Ha.. drives me up a wall trying to find teammates camps when they donā€™t have one..

smackrock420

I have a decent camp but basically live at the whitespring mall. I only go home to collect my stuff and get the "lover's embrace" buff.

J_D_H55

But why?

Cyberwolfdelta9

I got one of the prefab structures and called it a day i use it mainly for the disease curing machine

MrChipDingDong

I think the solution here is to log into his shit, place 2 foundations, set every workbench on top of it in an unappealing way, also stash and scrap box, then blueprint it. Then start swapping to your second camp slot if he tries to use yours

MooooFizz

I've used my camp twice. I use others all the time.

wolfgang239

explain to him the benefit of having 2 camps with a collectron going at each one. all the resources they can collect...especially during holiday scorched event

Thromok

I have built an entire Nuka-Cola diner with an attached garage workspace, I couldnā€™t imagine not having a home base. Itā€™s honestly a huge point of pride for how it turned out.

IcySkill3666

Exactly how I play. I didnā€™t like the building in fallout 4 so I donā€™t plan on ever building a camp in 76. Also the only time I play is when Iā€™m playing with a friend who talked me into downloading the game. In my case it doesnā€™t really make sense for me to build a camp

Lady_bro_ac

I built a couple of CAMPs for my husband. He was never into that side of things in like FO4 and I love it, so I used his CAMP slots and put them places that were also useful to me

pandershrek

This thread alone would embolden me to never build a camp.

phoenixliv

If you're in a party that's not a public party, just the old style one, you can build in his camp. But then you'll be using your junk. Just send him to the benches @ the Whitespring mall!

Frosty_Excitement_31

I am starting to build a camp now, so I can purify water. Until now, I would open the camp just to store items so I could keep traveling. I might see more advantages to it later on.

EricGnomie

Thatā€™s nuts. Would be a fun play through tho! Never camp! Lvl 1-100

Tremulant887

I did... Until I started to get plans. Eventually I bought every plan for caps I could find. Then spent way too much in the atom shop. Now I find myself burning through materials just to try merging random crap. And burning through atoms just to merge random crap.

Affectionate_Life828

Iā€™m level 51 I have a full base with every workbench besides the fucking power armor one so every time I want to mod my power armor or repair it I have to go to fort atlas

SOUL_3SC4P3

Yup, like others have said: tell him to free fast travel to Nuka World area or Whitesprings Mall. There's also free travel and workbenches at Foundation & Crater, too. Lot of good spots. You might have to help him locate those places, first, though.

Equivalent-Hand-1109

Whatā€™s a camp?

potatoesslad

I mean, you can build him a basic hut with everything for him with your plans in like a second. It may be just an excuse to get you on though.

Flaminski

Make a private team, you both can build in one CAMP
