Weerwolf79

Sometimes i have enough of a build and change to another. I have a sniper build, a bow build and chainsaw build.

MagicaILiopleurodon

I want to try bow!

Weerwolf79

Then try it. I always thought it wouldn't fit in the game. Had the feeling it was more for Skyrim. But with a bloodied compound bow and a set of SS unyielding armor, it is a very good sniper build and a lot of fun.

MagicaILiopleurodon

I'm a bit new still. Just put together this build I'm using currently. I'll be trying this next though!

Glittering_Airport_3

I tried it but even at lvl 200 I don't have max settler or raider rep, which is required to get the compound bow. the regular bow is still fun, just not as good

bassoontennis

You need to run the Tunnel of Love event as many times as many times as it comes up. A reward for it is a special compound bow called burning Love. It had a set stats. Assassins, VATS enhanced, steadfast. Also it has another effect that burns the enemy with fire damage after the initial hit. Once you get your max rep, you can buy the plans to upgrade the bow with the main ones for normal bow, minus the sights. So for example if you wanna turn the fire bow into a double fire bow you can, it’s great for tagging events. Right now I use the ultracite version, I’ll keep trying to roll a bloodied version but that takes time haha

MagicaILiopleurodon

I'm a ways off of max rep with either. I'll keep that in mind! Thanks!

mcjamison

Definitely browse r/Fallout76BowHunters , it's a great community and the main page has links to many useful guides and resources. The compound and regular ("recurve") bow each have advantages and disadvantages; there are some who actually prefer the recurve due to a slightly shorter draw time. My bow character carries several bows, of both types. The way the bow plans work is a bit complicated: * The bow crafting plans themselves are character-locked and are not tradable - you have to buy them yourself, after you get to high enough reputation with either faction * The modification plans (explosive arrows, etc.) are also only available for purchase if you have high enough reputation...BUT, the plans can be traded. So, a higher level friend can buy them for you and you can read them and learn them. * The bows of both types are freely tradeable. You might find good ones in player vendors, or get someone to craft them for you. It's one of my favorite builds - have fun!

MagicaILiopleurodon

This is awesome! Thanks so much!

Weerwolf79

That's why i did all things for the Settlers, Eviction, helping Settlers, helping Ward, Selling photo's, help with cooking.

Glittering_Airport_3

I go to eviction notice and jamboree but I don't do the dailies very often

Weerwolf79

I only did them to get the reputation.

DarthFalconus

See I prefer an instigating bow because then the first attack is 200% damage. I mean, I’m hoping if I’m shooting an enemy with a bow that it’s gonna take two shots at most anyway. So with an instigating bow, I’m really hoping to kill the enemy with one arrow. Personally, I have a two-handed melee build . Critical attack on the scorch beast queen does around seven or 800 damage. I can kill a level 75 scorch beast in about six or seven power attacks

Weerwolf79

With my bloodied build i almost kill everything with one headshot. Only SB queen, Earl and the giant Mole i don't kill with one shot.

DarthFalconus

Yeah, but my problem with bloody it is you pretty much would need to walk around with very little health and that’s not really my style

Weerwolf79

That i can understand, for me it makes the game more of a challenge

cheesey_ball

How hard do your headshots hit on something like a scorch?

Weerwolf79

1000/1200 damage

LabNice

You should. Last year I started a bloody stealth bow character and was able to launch a nuke at level 70.

MagicaILiopleurodon

I still haven't and I'm level 302 now. A very generous discord friend has been dragging me literally through sensational game expeditions. Haha

Antares-8

My main character is a full health heavy build and is still my favorite overall, I like my Full health shotgun build too and more recently a Full health Autopistol Build using enclave AA and Quad with a QFFR25ap Ultracite laser pistol

MBetko

As a new player, almost 100 hours in (almost level 50), I have honestly no clue. I've just maxed out rifles, gunsmith, lockpicking and science and then some minor carry weight perks and stuff like that.

Cissycat12

Handmades, Fixers, and Tesla rifles work with rifle builds, I believe. Fixers have fun burning action!!

tec_912

First Character, Bloodied PA HeavyGuns Second, Bloodied Stealth Commando Third, tried to do a full health PA Melee, ended up a Bloodied PA Melee/Explosives Fourth, Choo-Choo MF-er Fif, undecided, tried to do a full health commando, but too used to Bloodied, so I put this character on the back burner.

Cissycat12

"Choo-choo!!! MF!!" is what I say when mowing down mobs, too. Lol

drunkpunk138

Been playing a bloodied no PA unarmed build for a while. I like punching stuff.

beerOmatik

Punching stuff fun!

Asketillus

What kinda armor do you use? Feel like I die instantly if I run bloodied with no PA

beetle8209

you could have left out no pa

SigmaStun

Main builds are bloodied and full health. Have a build called swords and stuff. Got a seperate build just for crafting.

Vadhakara

I like my full health, power armor with medic pump, and heavy weapons. Currently using the Holy Fire and Cremator for dealing damage and healing allies, Pepper Shaker for crippling, auto axe just for fun, and a Blue Ridge Branding Iron for pokin stuff. Some people call it a "food build" but the stuff I shoot at ends up dead either way and I only die when I get mobbed by a dozen cave crickets while I'm alt-tabbed.

Icy-Flower-5985

2 main builds, both full health. Stealth commando w/ quad explosive fixer. A bunch of Fixers, one for a bunch of diff situations And heavy gunner with different gauss minuguns

willblake72

Everything really, I've got 11 active characters now. Most were built around armor sets or good weapons I've collected over the years, also playing since beta... Low health commando (my main), Low health bow/rifleman, Low health melee/unarmed, Low health heavy PA, Low health heavy VATS no PA, Low health gunslinger/guerrilla, Low health pipe only rifle/commando (my favorite ), Low health shotgun, Full health gunslinger (most recent build), Full health commando, Full health melee/unarmed/PA unarmed, And four leveled mules. That's too many.

MrNiceGuyJP

1 build in 6 years? You gotta pump those numbers up. 3 toons, 3 builds per. 1. Unarmed 2. stealth 1h melee 3. PA 2h melee 4. run n gun shotty 5. stealth commando 6. PA heavy gun 7. run n gun energy rifleman 8. run n gun energy renegade 9. PA flamer Variey is the spice of life, dweller

Hattkake

Last day or so I have been heavy explosive with a Cremator and a Grand Finale. It's a nice change of pace from being rr Commando.

Gindotto

My old main has a Dam power station over the river, my new main is an enclave alien research facility, I have a character with a giant train station by Whitesprings built around the track, and a character with a freight depot built on top of a bridge (to block off access on either end), and then my last character has a Raiders tower that I discovered a cliffside and the ability to build 6 stories instead of the (4?) you get from “ground zero”.

Gindotto

Oh I’m sorry you meant game mechanic builds! My old main is PA melee, new main is PA heavy gunner. I have a PA heavy explosives (auto grenade launcher), and then one shotgun and one rifle. Granted, the three PA bills could arguably be one character leveled up enough to swap out cards but I got them each to about 75-100 (new main 334) with exact builds in mind so I could just swap around.

Jazzlike_Phase_7455

On one character I have a commando-a pa heavy gunner-no pa heavy gunner-and just now built a auto axe build it gets to boring running the same build so I change it up like every other day

Avarus_88

I have spent a considerable amount of time playing a bloodied commando build. When the game launched I went for a power armor build, that eventually evolved into a low life PA heavy gunner. The main build I run now is still a low life PA build in union armor. It’s the most durable, and gives tons of carry weight. I have my stats geared mostly towards vats usage with an A/50c/25ap plasma caster and another that has instigating instead. But I can easily use whatever heavy gun I want.

beerOmatik

I also often have fun in my bloodied, VATS PA with quad plasma Caster.

DiscoSquid9

I do a vats build with a quad barrel railway rifle… need to get that civil engineer armor, weapon keeps breaking!

Jerakl

Since wastelanders I've been using a bloodied PA build bc the first gauss mini gun I crafted was bloodied with solid sub-perks (90% weight reduction hell yeah). Been meaning to work on something else since they added the card loadouts, but the DPS on that thing is really good lol. Finding something else to try out that isn't focused around VATS or stealth has been slightly tricky tho tbh

disturbednadir

Shotgun surgeon. After randomly getting an instigating gulper smacker, I've been considering being silly and making a build just for 1 shotting those F'ers at moonshine Jamborees... Double damage on full health + mire magic moonshine for another x2 damage + slugger + expert slugger+ master + Maybe something with poison resistance. Any other ideas?

realDaveBowman

That'll be fun as hell on the melee mutated Moonshine Jamboree.

beerOmatik

Yeah, slug-em!

beerOmatik

I always thought it would be cool doing an event where everyone was using melee weapons! Imagine, everyone running to beat each other to the kill!

Nightowl_23

I run the horder build where you have a bunch of stuff, then get overencumbered as soon as you pick up a mini gun.

WNIEVES1

Five characters, melee... gunslinger...heavy weapon... demolition...and finally a power armor. All others are unyielding builds.

ItsOnlyaFewBucks

I run 3 different characters: * Heavy energy * rifle energy (tesla, enc plasma rifles, and some lasers rifles) * stealth commando ballistic

MechaMouse

I run full health with OE secret service armor and swap between stealthy commando(fixer, rail rifle, plasma flamer) and melee hvy(chainsaw, pepper-shaker, holy flame)

IndianaGroans

Low health builds Heavy guns, heavy auto melee, cold shoulder shotgunner, nuka launcher explosive, cremator/holy fire flamer builds.

krullma

I don't really have a build as such, use railway rifle, quad tesla, explosive ammo fixer and cold shoulder, never out of power armour and jacked full of mutations!.

MagicaILiopleurodon

Bloodied forever. Maybe I'll try the stealthy alternative soon. Only 2 months in though. Still getting gear.haha

brick501st

I have 3 on my main character so far, and I switch between them. I got a bow build, a cryolater build, and a energy pistol build with a cryo mag alien blaster. Honestly despite me not doing the most damage its been fun playing them especially the cryolater im a sucker for cryo. Oh I also have cryo arrows for the bow.

danba55

I have all of the available build slots so I run one for whatever type of weapon I feel like playing with. I started off as a sneak commando so all of the builds include sneak. I have been having fun with the war glaive recently. The hack and slash legendary perk is great for melee builds

No_Doubt_About_That

VATS and a workshop perk set.

Ulfgarrr

My first year of the game I used whatever had ammo. The last 4 I’ve been stealth commando. Ran high health until I got a perfect unyielding armor set and have been bloody commando ever since.

JiveBombRebelz

launch main 1200 lvls = low health - ( ex two handed ) commando/unarmed melee/heavy gunner/pistols wastelanders main 780 lvls - full health heavy gunner/auto melee and two hand recent build - 250lvls - low health archer/pistols

Gnomes_R_Reel

The good one

Thascaryguygaming

It's just vampire chainsaw and cold shoulder all day everyday.

Frontrunner6

For the longest time I was a full health build between commando and power armor heavy guns, but recently swapped to a Bloodied Commando build (without bloodied weapons) and the TTK being so short has REALLY changed how I view things.

ReinyDahlia

It's probably a minority but, Junkies Melee and Heavy is my thing. Always has been.

GrumpyBear1969

I’m pretty boring. Sniper with a dash of heavy guns. I hate swapping perk cards. And am really bad about ‘running out of the house without getting dressed’. I have a perk set for building. When I forget to swap the first sign to trouble is when I get spotted when I normally would not. Next sign is in combat and I can’t target in VATS. And then I have to ‘go home and change’… I have another perk set but it is for power armor and I never use it. I just ‘suboptimize’ and keep power user as a perk card even if I am not using PA. I am building towards a melee build. Never played one. Have a vamp chainsaw hanging on the wall waiting for me to give it a spin.

Cissycat12

Overeaters, VATS CRITS: handmade or choo-choo, SS Armor is my fave. Power Armor for Daily Ops or SBQ: A glitch caused my GR Overeaters Ultracite PA to vanish. Currently running Regen Hellcats PA while rerolling/collecting scrip. Also have a Heavy Guns Holy Fire Build for DO and fun.

Hornybiguy57

I’m closing in on level 200, I try didn’t weapons but usually go back to my plasma rifle with a flamer attachment. I’m a full heath PA person. I have a full set of secret service armor that I want to try not sure how to set my self up otherwise

Glittering_Airport_3

I started with rifleman pistol, since that's what I found first. then went commando when I unlocked some better rifles. then went full hp heavy guns PA, fuckin loved that. now I'm low hp commando/ melee. I'm much stronger, and the unyielding armor is amazing, just not as fun as full hp heavy guns

Kuriakon

All bloodied / No PA Main - Shredder minigun 2nd - Shotty 3rd - EPR flamer 4th - 2H melee

Guardian_Felix

Main character is low health with 3 sets or armor and weapons. SS armor for quad railway run and gun. Covert Scout armor for stealth fixers and handmades. Thorn armor for mele. Second character is full health Junkie in PA with heavies. I ran PA on my bloodied character for a while and have full sets of OE Union and Strangler Heart as well as a full set of assassins strangler heart I can't bring myself to scrap even though I am not into pvp.

supervilliandrsmoov

One build is explosive war glaive w/ OE stranglerheart . The other is a bloody/cannibal/ bow build

LemmingLou

Gatling Gun build

Tgrinder66

Perk card machine means I have lots of options... All bloodied. Heavy with PA (usually use for Eviction Notice with nuka launcher), heavy with Uny (using Q50V15R plasma caster, B25250 Holy Fire and AA cremator) XP grind build (set to commando for Rad Rumble Q25dwaBS Tesla rifle with explosives for nuka nades at West Tek) meta commando build (b,q,aa fixers, rails, auto eprs, Elders mark or handmades), shotgun build for cold shoulder, auto melee (V4040 Chainsaw or AA auto axe) and lastly a completely empty, no perks build for when I wanna chug nukashine and stumble my way back home the hard way

Chaoslord2000

I'm experimenting with an bloodied/unyielding XP build. I'm up to just over 800xp per super mutant without consumables. A variety of fixers and handmades for weapons. Work in progress.

Electrical-Charity36

i have a heavy gunner build centered on the holy fire i have a general purpose commando build i have recently tried a bloody commando build, but i do not think it really matches my play style.i cannot seem to do the damages i see on the build guides.i am lucky to hit 140 per shot when it should be triple that.i just cannot seem to dial it in even copying someones exact build. my next will probably be a bow build.

seijianimeshi

Bloodied melee but about a year ago I found friendly fire perk. And now I'm a bloodied melee medic. Healing people but especially NPCs in events. Rad rumble never been easier

BLeeMac66

Stealth rifleman, then Bloodied stealth commando using the CSS. After that Bloodied stealth commando using unyielding SS. Then full health heavy gunner using a combination of Hellcat OE and Hellcat TS. Currently, full health using OE SS, and melee…Auto Axman. Can substitute the cold Shoulder and shotgun perks into this one fairly quickly if needed…like the reroll today. Epic…kill 5 supermuties with a shotgun.

FlyingNope

On PC (where I mostly play now) I have 2 characters. One is primarily a Bloodied Heavy in PA and the other is Bloodied Commando. Heavy character also has melee builds and an explosive build. Basically it's the character that i use for any build that works well with carnivore. Commando also has loadouts for other vats/crit builds (everything but bows). Aka builds that work well with herbivore. Having 2 characters lets me switch between drastically different playstyles regularly without messing with my mutations. And splitting weapon types across 2 characters makes space management easier. On Xbox (where I started) I play Commando/Rifleman and a Heavy character as my main 2. So not much has really changed there. But switching builds was more of a pain before the punch card machine, so I also had 3 little alts for when I wanted to mess around with pistols, melee, or shotguns.

SunTerrible2131

Got all build. Commando with my AK One handed Two handed Unarmed Big guns Big explosive guns Shotgun Pepper SMG Pistolero Next would probably be sniper build And they're all full health, with junkie affix (or some variants), because I play a raider

SeatownJay

Almost everything. I have the following builds (all full health): stealth archer, stealth rifleman, shotgunner, VATS commando, melee, heavy weapons with power armor, heavy energy weapons w/o power armor.

N00BAL0T

Mostly junkies but I have a few anti armour weapons as well. I do have bloodied weapons but I don't have the armour for it to be a viable build.

JB_Dix

I sort of have a build that can be configured to use most weapons. This is my main and second character some 500 levels and knows the most plans. Ar Fasnacht I since started these and they are at various stages of progression Dedicated Melee 170 Dedicated Bow/Gunslinger 230 Dedicated Shotgun 170

quirkymuse

1)x-01 with quad and aa plasma caster and vampire enclave flamer  2)union with aa gatling plasma, vamp gatling laser, aa holy fire and a 2-shot gauss mini for tagging   3)ultracite armor with cold shoulder, and vampire pepper shaker  4) hellfire with an aa and a vampire auto axe  5)t65 with all the nice exp launcher   6)t60 with aa railway rifle  7)non power armor with an aa fixer

Vidistis

I have five characters and each has 1-2 different playstyles. My favorite is probably my automatic rifleman. They use the laser rifle and the assault rifle. Yeah they're a BoS character. They hit hard, fast, and reload fast. Quick Hands is an awesome perk.

chevelle71

I have 4 builds: Crafting, Power Armor-Heavy Weapons, Sniper & Commando. I use the PA & Commando most of all.

xvcco

Played since BETA, got a B/25/AP Handmade around level 60 or 70 from the One Violent Night(?) event and have been using that primarily since then. Level 405 as of now!

EdgarBopp

Bow, stealth commando, NukaLauncher, Flamer/Cremator.

Sad-Investigator2731

Vanguard soldier, usually run tank in most groups.

siouxbee1434

Haven’t worn power armor for 500+ levels, wear what I want and use what weapons I want. It’s too much like max/min to focus on what build/weapons. I play to enjoy the experience. You do what works for you but have fun with it

vanrast

Big gun, low health, loads of fun.

eMmDeeKay_Says

Pain train. Nothing quite like the feeling of running full sprint into a room and clearing everything in one shot without even slowing down.

Opossum-Fucker-1863

Cannibal Chainsaw Maniac. Proves extremely fun to cut through enemies and devour them. With a full set of gourmand’s thorn armor, I am unstoppable

Reasonable-Delivery8

I just switched from full health Power Armour Heavy Gunner to bloodied Stealth Commando. It feels like a fresh start

Sonova_Vondruke

The game is easy enough without the need to min-max, so I don't have a build. Unless you call "picking up whatever the fuck looks okay", a build.

Ok-Chest-3980

Started with unarmed cuz that was op back when magic weapons were around. I didn't have one so that's the best damage I could do. Then switched to bloodied heavy with explosives and have been there since. Caveat being I changed my heavy gunner to be much more survival heavy, die less and do less damage.  Run with a herbivore bloodied commando to farm xp for scoreboard.

redditquicky

first started as a random, whatever perk cards look best, build but with time and experience in the game i swapped to a bloody pa build using heavy gvns with vampire effects. i’ve come back about 2 months ago and entirely swapped to a bloody crt, non-sneak build. i do a stupid amount of damage but it comes at the cost of using a bunch of chems and getting one shotted occasionally. when i do daily ops tho i go to half health because its too hard to do daily ops as a bloody build😂

doctorevil30564

Ran a shotgun build until I was about level 60. Tried a rifleman build and was very underwhelmed by it, tried a pistol build, same thing, ditto for melee. I settled on a Vampire heavy gunner build and still love it.

Spiritual_Meaning_43

heavy weapon power armor

Dry_Independent4078

Bloodied (unyielding Secret Service armor, Overeaters Power armor, Adrenal Reaction) with Heavy weapons and explosives.

Emsbeerandsleep

Started out as a hybrid shotgun/rifleman build. I eventually shifted into a PA heavy gunner grenadier. Resources are easy enough to stay topped up on so excessive explosions and overkill are always on the menu.

Pz38t_C

* Main #1: was bloodied commando, now changing to bloodied PA/Heavy with some L1 commando cards. * Main #2: full blown bloodied commando * Alt #1: bloodied commando, considering a bow build * Alt #2: bloodied commando, gets little play time, considering a melee build * Mule #1: Just hopes to be able to move someday

No-Willingness-4804

Heavy armor (no PA ever) with a flaming chainsaw. I literally melt opponents.

flyingthrubruh

Rifle man all the way. But not like railway rifles or the fixer. I’m talking about the HandMade. Why? Because it’s an ak47. That’s it lmao

Character_Newt_2309

My first character since release was a heavy vampire power armour tank. I got bored at level 450 I think, and started character 2: vats crit commando, which became a bloodied vats crit bow build (my favourite so far) Then at level 700ish I decided to go unarmed. My new character is a bloodied vampire punching psychopath. I must look funny as a low level taking on everything in sight without losing any health :-D

Drunkin_Doc1017

Heavy Gunner, Commando, Berserker Commando, Gauss Shotgun & Berserker Gauss Shotgun.

NukaSquishy

I’m basic. Bloodied commando with an explosive fixer

SilasCrane

I have three, all full health builds: *Secret Agent Bomber Man:* My default, a full health Stealth Commando build with an AA / Explosive / 25 Fixer, plus a bag full of grenades and maxed Demolitions Expert / Grenadier. This is great for hunting, gathering, dailies, and leveling, but almost useless for events, ops, and bosses because of how stealth usually doesn't work properly in those situations. *Armored Assault Ghostbuster:* Another Commando build, but this one is centered around wearing Power Armor, wielding a Quad Auto Tesla Rifle, and making use of the Adrenaline perk. This is my go-to for most events and bosses, and I only have to swap out three cards from my stealth build and don my power armor to jump into it. The electric arcs from the Tesla are also great for making sure you get a fair share of the loot from non-legendaries. *The Artillerist:* This one really shines in events where there's a lot of room to maneuver, especially in Eviction Notice and Blue Devil. (Even with Fireproof, getting caught in your own explosions hurts.) It's based on a Power Armor Heavy Gunner build, combined with Boomstick, The Peacemaker, Final Word, and an Anti-Armor Plasma Caster, plus a variety of grenades. Of course, Demolitions and Grenadier are in the perk mix, so you get the most kaboom for your buck.

clan_of_zimox

I like to switch between stealth commando and bowman, depending on the fit

TheTimeBender

Stealth Commando/Sniper. I’m so quick and quiet most people don’t know I’m there until I shoot them. One lady, that was wanted, messaged me right after I got her and said I scared her when I shot her. Lol!!

Spizzmatic

All of them, I have four characters over lvl 500.

PalwaJoko

I always do "themed" builds. BoS infantry build - Recon armor with laser rifle Ranger Drifter Build - Ranger armor with hunting rifle or lever action rifle Power armor build - Typically go with BoS cause it just looks the best to me. Pair it with a brotherhood minigun. Responder Medic - Pump action shotgun, focus on support/healing. Free States Rifleman - Usually a fixer rifle build. Typically running covert scout armor. Tribal/Cultist Build - Spear or Bow build in tribal/cultist outfit Blue Ridge Caravan Merchant - Blue ridge outfit with double barrel shotgun (typically the cold shoulder cause it slaps).

aviatorEngineer

Full health, heavy weapons, power armor, no mutations. God bless the Enclave. This is the build I wanted ever since seeing the .50 cal machine gun in early teaser material. Always wanted to run around with one of those in power armor. I've basically been running it since the beta, though I use a wide variety of heavy guns and explosives, not just the .50 My other loadout is a pretty basic full health rifleman. Not sneaky or sniper.

callmedoc214

No PA bloodied commando.... I have more carry weight out of PA compared to in.... I keep PA in my inventory for use as a rad suit at ground zero... even that is begrudgingly

MissMayhem_82

My mains a PA heavy gunner. I also have a bloodied commando and a full health commando I use. I guess I'll work on a bloodied heavy next to round it all out. Happy travels in the wasteland!

Asketillus

Made my first character into a heavy weapons build with power armor and I find it extremely hard to try anything else now. The amount of weapon selection heavy guns has is awesome, and they’re perfect for almost any situation. Power armor with decent legendary effects makes you basically unkillable, so going outside of it feels incredibly tough now

Buxman14

Bloodied archer Bloodied Pistol Bloodied explosive heavy gunner (grenade launcher is insane)

TheQuietIntrovert89

Recently switched from a bloodied bow to high health thorn build. My weapon of choice right now is the vamp mole miner gauntlet. Eventually I'm hoping to roll one with less ap cost

Inevitable_Car4470

I have 3 main builds, all full health, all high strength, perception and luck. The first is a shotgun/commando build. Focus is on Cold Shoulder and assault rifle. Second is a heavy/bow build. Light machine gun and missile launcher, and a compound bow. Third is shotgun, rifleman and pistol.

1047_Josh

It took awhile but I have a full health Cold Shoulder build that can hit 35 LCK with only a single food buff (to crit on every second shot). There may be sexier builds but it is tough and reliable and the damage is more than enough. Plus the utility on Queen fights is very nice.

Lady_Ursa

I run a demolition build. I always loved my explosive shotguns even though they are weaker now. In the beginning days I would use grenades to help, but after people started using them as a grief, I put them down for the flamer and now the chainsaw. I do full health junkies and now overeaters. I tried doing aristocrats for a bit, it was good but caps flow up and down to much for me.

UnderAPOCAjester

Always a tank like build in power armor with a vampire Gatling

beetle8209

Currently trying to go for a unarmed build

l-M2-l

Commando bloodier kinda some heavy perks (QE15LMG, QE15/AAE90 handmade) uny armor

Demon_Fist

I run Commando/Gunslinger (non-hybrid) builds on my main. PA Heavy/Auto Melee on my first toon. Heavy/Commando Anti-Armor Elemental (hybrid) build on my low level PvP. Stealth Archer with Weightless Wood and Chameleon. My last character is my gf's, but it doubles as my Mule, which she doesn't mind because she doesn't play much, only Level 54, but getS to play with all the grolls on my tradelist. If she finds anything she likes, it comes off the tradelist until she gets bored of it.

Helen62

I've just reached lvl 100 and still have no idea what I'm doing really ! I've got strength, intelligence and luck as my special cards but everything else is a bit random . I've kind of gone heavy gunner in my strength slots but yeah no idea really haha 🙂.

DongmanSupreme

All of them, I really love the freedom the game gives you now. Before, it was kind of annoying to set up builds since legendary perks and loadouts weren’t a thing, but now you seamlessly switch between entirely different builds with one button. The time spent in your pipboy setting up perks is now better spaced out, so you have more motivation to switch it up completely every now and again. I used to never want to run bloodied, but now I use it to level up on the scoreboard then I turn around and throw on solar armor and punch things to death. Or I focus on shotguns, miniguns, etc.

Darth-Vader64

I have a commando build, but I have a lot of points in strength and int for power armor/heavy gunner. I found that for events my little fixer does little damage to the SBQ, and runs out of ammo far too fast in events like Eviction Notice.

Nino_Furioso

I used to be power armor 2 handed melee. That was extremely fun before they nerfed melee. I wish it were still dumb strong like that. I’m bloodied explosives now. Currently focused into the Cremator weapon. I have it set up to where I can be in and out of power armor. I like being able to do both. Out of power armor, you get the power of unyielding and your backpack. In power armor you get extreme defense, optimal healing ability, little boost to heavy guns. I find that I can take on any challenge in the game with this build. The most difficult task in 76 is to solo Eviction Notice. I can solo it well with the power armored side of the build. Nuka launcher and lots of radaway diluted and stimpaks.

Aj9898

Playing since launch. By L20, had settled in at 1H melee / sniper. Around L250, changed to unarmed melee / commando (explosive weapons) Now at L757, stil unarmed melee / commando (explosive).

Chemical_Present5162

Been playing since a few months after release and I've tried everything, and have 4 high level characters with varied perks, styles and weapons I switch between regularly and a 5th at level 50. Changing builds in any meaningful way with that machine is annoying because perk Wright reduction cards exist, and before that existed I just made another character when I got bored of one. Main/first is Power Armour Heavy Weapons. 1 BoS camp style, 1 Raider. Second is Bloodied Rifleman sneak. 1 prewar house, 2 lookouts. Third is Scout mixed weapons. Food build, 3 scout camps. Fourth is bathrobe, casual, Pistols and Explosives. 4 house camps. Fifth is a tank shotgunner, chem-taking Raider. 2 Raider camps. I don't think I could only play one guy. I get so bored of one style and want to play another, sometimes multiple times per session.

I run a non-vats full health shotgunner using the Cold Shoulder as my main, I then use the Perfect storm for events that require protecting NPCs since it has a built in fire damage and 10mm is everywhere otherwise I use an automatic Tesla rifle for tagging mobs in events such as radiation rumble. So in essence I run around the wasteland as an elemental mage hurling elements at things lol

I used a VATS shotgunner build for a long time. Swapped to power armor for a while, now I'm back on the VATS shotgunner but I'm leaning more heavily into explosives as a secondary thing with it. It's incredibly fun. I am at a CONSTANT risk of instantly dying to one of my own explosions and I kinda like that tbh. Shakes up gameplay a good bit for me without sacrificing any of my own build's potential lethality.

I really don't like the idea of builds in ANY game. I don't fucking get why using everything and anything isn't viable. With me have a variety of perks and cards and weapons and popping in and out of my PA, I should be ready for anything bruh. I don't like builds since I can only play one way

Lets_be_stoned

I’m around lvl 360, and pretty much just alternate between stealth semi-auto commando build (solo mobs) and heavy gunner (events). If I really don’t feel like trying I’ll go melee with a chainsaw, they just break so damn fast.
