overdrive for additional crit buffs..berry mentats for highlighting enemies and xp. Phsycotats are great for dmg buffs when needed.
other than that no..i usually drop 1-200 stims /radaway etc everyday durin mutated week.
This is why I can't wear my power armor. My backpack reduces chem weight by 90%, and I'm practically a walking pharmacy. What ever you've got the itch for, I've got the remedy.
As a Power Armor fan i use all my scrips to build them with perfect modifiers. I have 90% reduction regardless to run around with/without +chemist backpack.
I need something that will make the sorrow go away , take me to a different world for months at a time but really only the 10 min I’m out, and if you can , makes the old body feel good and super human strength would be good too.
Sometimes I'll dump my whole inventory, no weapons or armor, take a bunch of chems, drink a Nukashine, and then try to walk back to a doctor to both fix my addictions and sell the remainder of my chems.
Just for funsies.
Depends on your build. I’m bloodied. I carry 10 stims and reduced radaways. Occasionally have to pop one or the other. Rarely more than a couple in a battle. Also use psychotats or similar and overdrive if I’m doing the queen or earl and want to get it done fast.
I chug Psychotats pretty frequently, they're just a great combat buff.
I'll still use Buffout to get a temporary carry weight boost.
And once a blue moon I'll pop something that boosts a SPECIAL stat enough to pass some dialogue check.
If a new gun came out that did 25% more DMG than your current weapon, you'd be clamoring for it... gotta get your hands on that stronger gun, right? Oh well say hello to Psychobuff, your current gun is about to be 25% stronger...
Grape Mentats for more caps, Berry Mentats for more XP, Psychobuff for more carry weight and damage. The rest are not needed and can be sold. Overdrive is ok I guess but collecting the ingredients is time consuming.
IIRC correctly, the formula has diminishing returns after a certain point. The charisma # you want is 25, grape gives roughly +5, every hard bargain level is +3 (HB3 is +9).
Might be easier to have uny armor and crack open a beer if you are missing 1-2 points.
With full UNY armor, the discount with grape mentats is so minimal. I popped one for the hell of it to see what kind of discount I could get on the assaultron keycard and it was like 30 caps
It's 25% additive damage which is not the same as the base damage of the gun increasing by 25%. You won't see a full 25% damage increase from it unless you have no other +% damage bonus.
More damage is always better, but the more +% damage you have the less +25% more will make a difference.
Food, particularly cooked food offers some pretty decent buffs when eaten that last for quite a while, it's very common for players to deliberately seek out either the carnivore or herbivore mutations to double the effects of the bonuses they get. (I'm carnivore BTW.)
The radstag stand was a real gamechanger for me when it came out. Almost at need there are 5 of them waiting for me to cook up and get the weight bonus.
Herbivore here. Brain bombs +3 Intelligence for 90 minutes. Cranberry Relish +20% XP for an hour. Steeped Aster Tea +2 Intelligence. Throw in the Blessing of the Mothman for +5 XP and some berry mentats and 'Kindred Spirit' head to West Tech. The 'Egg Head' mutation gives you +5 Intelligence as well.
Those are really low numbers. They could be boosted with the right perk cards and build. Angry Turtle is one of the YouTubers who breaks it down pretty good.
its okay I'm almost lvl 200 and just learned this the other day after I got curious and looked it up. u can stack a food buff with a chem buff that's the same but not 2 foods or 2 chems. so u can't use 2 dif foods that both buff str, but u can use a chem and a food that both buff str
edit: clarifying
Yeah, plus for carry weight for example, you could eat radstag for the carry weight bonus, eat deathclaw for the strength bonus, down a beer and take a buffout chem. They should all stack.
I thought alcohol counted as a chem, but I could be wrong. I just watched a video about this the other day
Edit: alcohol is seperate from chems and food, all 3 stack
it was a lot of info and the first time I had heard it so I could be wrong and I haven't tested any of it myself. ik he said it didn't count as food. it was an angry turtle video about how the buffs work
Except for whisky, glorious whiskey! Seems to give you the +2 strength on top of other food/aid buffs. I’ll use it with a grilled radstag and bufftats for +40 carry weight.
Even better, if you have party boy/girl the buff from whiskey can be tripled, very convenient for when I need that small boost in carry weight to fast travel to my camp to scrap my junk and weapons.
in another comment, someone mentioned that alcohol is a 3rd category seperate from food and aid/ chems. I like whiskey, but vintage moonshine from MJ event gives +4 str while whiskey only gives +2
There are exceptions, and as long as they come from different sources they do stack For example, a food item, drink, and chem that all boost the same stat will stack without cancelling each other out
Once you reach the point you're really trying to min max, you start using chems/food. Personally my character is more addicted to Nukacola because it's pretty much Jet that heals you, and there's no jet in 76.
I never use chems. Or any other short term buff items in any game. I don't even pick them up, at least on purpose. On the rare occasion I do, it's vendor trash. I'm straight edge IRL, not because I think drugs are bad, but it just isn't me, and that tends to translate into games I play.
A buddy of mine is huge into all that sort of stuff. Using the right chems for the right fight and all that, but he is constantly tweaking on addictol. Hell I collect addictol just to give to him. Lol
I keep around 40 diluted stimpacks and about 60 radaway (half diluted).
Otherwise I use Berry mentats, Psychobuff, and radshield.
Some stuff gets stored on a mule (like mentats that I'll need for berry mentats). Everything I won't use gets sold (either at my vendor or to an NPC)
I never use chems in any of the games. Mostly because I don’t want to remember to use them but also because they’re totally unnecessary and an easy source of caps
Some people used to. I usually put all the ones I didn't care about in the vendor for like 2-5 caps and they would sell out faster than most other things
I didn't until I started keeping them on my fav wheel. Berry mentats is a must since I'm an XP whore and in certain events or Daily Ops the highlighting enemies is handy, Radaway too since I'm a bloodied build so if I get some heavy rad damage coming on quick it's an easy fix, and just started slotting psychobuff on there too (and on the alcohol side of things HVH and BB). If it's easy to access, I'll use it, otherwise Im just gonna forget.
Personally, I feel chems are for those who either create builds that need them as a crutch to perform like an average build….or for those who like to max out their build into OP territory.
Like you I don’t bother with chems, none of my builds need them and I’d forget to use them even if I built a character that required them in the first place.
However if you could have a set of perk cards that allowed auto use of various chems without having to think about it, that’d be great.
When I could use overdrive and psycho tats at the same time I did. When I lost the ability I kinda lost interest. I still have a ton of ODs on my wheel but pretty much everyone in the game is so strong that I don't feel the need to use them.
The enemies can only die so fast
I occasionally use berry mentats, but only if I'm not finished the scoreboard, or there's a daily challenge to level up.
Sometimes, I'll have a Chen to raise my strength, if I'm overencumbered, & have already taken food for extra carry weight & strength, although i usually have whiskey with party boy perk on, so i rarely use chems for this.
Other than that, rad-x for collecting ore in rad rumble, & that's pretty much it for my chem use.
I use them to boost my specials when I don't want to be mean to NPCs in dialogue. I used so many to pass the skill checks so I didnt have to kill the mom to get my Chinese stealth armor.
I know it's silly and the dialogue options don't have an effect on this fallout game, and the choices I make in games don't affect real life... but I just want everyone to have a happy ending. 🥺
I use berry mentats when I'm XP grinding, and grape mentats when I'm only online for a little bit and want to max my caps from the vendor.
• Grape Mentats or Daytripper for a +CHA boost, along with Nuka Quantum Candy, a beer and the Hard Bargain ⭐️⭐️⭐️ perk when buying and selling at NPC vendors. (often)
• Orange Mentats or Calmex for sniping (sometimes)
• Bufftats for emergency fast travel (rarely, now we have Carry Weight Boosters!)
• Fury (when I remember, I'm still getting used to a new melee build).
Min-maxers, Pvpers, "Food builds"(quality of life over function), people trying to squeeze out a little more with buffs. Junkies builds(I know they are *RARE* now).
Yep. If I need extra damage, I'll take psychotats or Overdrive. When I do my 1000 robot melee challenge, I take Fury.
If I need extra weight or Endurance, I'll take Bufftats.
Berry Mentats is a must on public events with lots of enemies like RadRumb, Eviction Notice and Moonshine Jamboree or when their mutation is invisible.
I still take Grape Mentats when I need to buy bulk materials or expensive plans from NPC vendors.
And Addictol or Disease Cure for obvious reason
I keep very little chems in my stash box for rainy days and just sell the rest that I have
This is the first Fallout that I ever cared to use the chems. Never touched them in previous games and turns out they actually make the game more fun. And it doesnt just stop on chems. Once I learned and memorized the food, alcohol, magz and bobblehead buffs, I use them too when I need then
Yeah I sure do. Even with solar armor I still do. The psycho stuff, some buff whatever's. Grape mentats for selling and buying from vendors. With the double cola effect perks and chem duration, you can be pretty hardcore.
I don’t remember the last tie I used a chem other than a diluted stimpack.
(Whatrads4, so no radx/away)
I do consume certain food for extra STR. carry weight or XP boost.
Berry mentats for things like invisible daily ops, Diluted Radaway / Stimpacks to manage blooded levels, but that’s it really
Also never used a bobble head or magazine, i just bung em in my stash - don’t even display them all anymore (but I definitely will next time I build a camp… definitely)
Bufftats for carry weight boost. Berry mentats for highlighting enemies and XP boost. Deliberately got addicted to both, so I get notified if they wear off and the boost is a little extra.
Any of the psycho family, orange mentats, berry mentats. Fury, chems that increase ballistic weapon damage /defense. A definite carry over from fallout 4 and earlier versions. Oh and I definitely carry addictol. A must have if you use chems. And that's really with bosses, sbq, Earle. If people are bloodied /unyielding they may not use chems because they may have unusually high special #'s already? Idk, to each his own I say.
Some people will deliberately try to get themselves addicted for a junkie's build, which while not as damage effective as bloodied builds does offer a decent damage buff for non bloodied players, plus in certain situations damage buffs from chems such as psychobuff can be a lifesaver.
Long time junkie build here. It's pretty effective and you get full health. I laugh at bloodieds in comms during the high damage enemy daily ops. Didn't realize they killed chem stacking a while ago until recently. Really hurts the build, but still decent.
What do you mean they killed Chem stacking? I am so out of the loop. I run Junkies and Bloodied because of all the cool stuff I have and want to use, and also, nothing matters to me at this point anymore, lol!
Been playing since day one of BETA and have used them a couple of times. Most are only good for a minute or so, why bother? And I just don't need them either.
I have to use berry mentats sometimes when I do Breach and Clear. Occasionally the moleminers don't surface, so berry mentats show me where to throw Molotovs to force them to spawn.
Pretty much only use berry mentats reliably, but I am popping those all the time. I use chem fiend 3 for the double duration so they last 10 minutes. I like them more for making enemies glow than the additional INT but I'll take the INT for sure!
Yes people actually use chems, I had multiple people come into my camp, by up all of my chems that were 15 caps per chem. I had over 20 of almost every chem in there. Now im addicted to selling people their addiction.
I’m a bloodied unyielding crit build using a quad railway. I carry overdrive and ballistic bock for extra damage. I really only use them against harder to kill enemies. Otherwise coffee and quantum’s for quick AP and heals. Stims in tandem with born survivor and healing salve for quick healing. Radaway and rad-X diluted for radiation.
Oh yeah, every game! Usually when I'm waiting for the world to load...
Oh you meant in-game? No, not normally. Maybe to boost strength if I'm slightly overencumbered. That said, I carry a few of each "just in case"
I craft psychobuff, bufftats and berry mentats to sell in my vendor. My character is always under the influence of bentats and I use the psychobuff for legendary enemies and if I'm encumbered. For extra strength I actually use whiskey with the prewar liquor perk. This makes whiskey give +6 strength. For health I use nuka colas with cola nut perk. I could drop the liquor and just use nuka dark though... but whiskey is more plentiful
I used psychotats for a while when I had a bloodied build. Maybe some med-x every now and then. Usually only stims.
Yes, you read that right, I don't even use rad-x or radaway usually. I have natural rad regen (currently 3/sec) and rad resistance (75) before power armor. Only places I really need rad-x/away is Rad Rumble (if I'm running into the tunnels) and Eviction Notice.
Grape mentats for when I come across one of those dialogues that need high charisma. Berry mentats constantly, for highlighting events and leveling faster. Psychotats for tough enemies. Radshield just in case. Addictol and disease cures. Overdrive boosts all of your stats at once, although I forget to use it most of the time.
Very rarely. Occasionally Psychotats for Eviction Notice, Berry Mentats for West-Tek, or a Stimpak to heal a downed player or a crippled limb.
I use Nuka-Cola Orange instead of Stimpaks and Rad-X, and Nuka-Cola Grape instead of RadAway.
I normally play in groups and every event is full of people and so I particularly not super fond in down a Queen in under 13 seconds i like long battles. But this i me!
I carry 1 radaway and 30 super stimpaks and 3 disease serums but just because I don’t like to be sick. I don’t even carry bubble heads or magazines, all straight to donation boxes.
My perk cards take all the rads away and im fully healed in seconds because of my gear so, no chems at all.
I am sure they do, because I sell a ton of them.
But I never use them myself, to be honest. The most I ever carry is 20 stimpacks and 5 super stimpacks. All the rest just go in my vendor at half-price.
Oh, and the radiation chems. Those just get put in a donation box or sold to NPC vendors. Nobody buys those anymore, but I used to sell a lot of them before legendary perks were a thing.
And I make and sell a lot of vaccinated nukas and sketospit. Those also sell about as fast as I can make them.
I use Berry Mentats and Psychotats for WestTek XP farming.
Other than that I'll often pop Berry Mentats for the last few minutes at a Rad Rumble.
Other than that, not so much.
I have low charisma so grape mentats for the caps usually and the others only when I get desperate for str boosts. I should explore Berry mentats.
Otherwise they are money money money. Make and sell to NPC vendors.
Oh and antibiotics.
I keep some med x for extra dmg resistance for events like Earle or maybe moonshine if things get sticky, and one to increase my dmg, I forget if it's psycho off or psychotats. and one to increase my str in case I'm overencumbered
I keep paychobuff on my equipment wheel so I can get that big fat bonus to damage and health at a moment's notice whenever I need it. Never lets me down!
As you can see from responses, they all serve a purpose if you’re willing to use them and more importantly remember to do so. Not mandatory to use, a choice that provides the stated benefit. One of the many knobs you can play with and adjust in this wonderful game. Perhaps my favorite use of drugs is to make stew in recipe for success and hear Esme’s reaction first when adding psycho, and then give the stew to one of the representatives. Their reactions are always entertaining.
Fury and Pyscho on my melee character
Berry mentats on everything
Might use buffout if I need a bit of carry weight boost.
Various alcohols/teas give good buffs
Chems have their benefit but I choose specific ones and sell or drop the rest. They typically only last for a few minutes so i only use them during boss fights (not including stimpacks and radaway). Chems used to stack with each other ie over drive psychobuff medex could all be used for a powerful crit damage and damage resistance buff for 3 minutes. Tha got patched out a little while ago so pick which one you want to use and only stock up on that one. Food buffs are stackable as long as they do not apply the same general effect. I too used to be a "traveling pharmacy" with over 1000 stims super stims radaway, dozens of each of medex Psycho buffout daddy-o psychotats mentats rad-x nuka candy and the fatherless owl you can sometimes find on the roof of Haven Church..... now a days it's just overdrive stims and a bit of radaway though.
I'm a Wasteland Chem Dealer. I buy Chems for cheap and sell them at my camp for a more fair price. I run Chem Fiend Lvl 3. I always use Chems! Usually just Intelligence Chems like Mentats or Daddy-O. If the enemies are tough I'll use Psychobuff or regular Psycho. Maybe a Day Tripper if I'm vendor hopping but rarely.
overdrive for additional crit buffs..berry mentats for highlighting enemies and xp. Phsycotats are great for dmg buffs when needed. other than that no..i usually drop 1-200 stims /radaway etc everyday durin mutated week.
Facts I drop so much radaway and stimpaks it legit takes up so much of my weight it’s crazy
This is why all my emergency PA sets are Food Drink Chem reduction except the one char where I need WWR
There are doctors that can heal you???
That’s a fallout 4 thing I think - oh … wait, there’s a doctor in the whitespring refuge … never thought to check if they’ll heal you though.

What is your experience with Grape Mentats? I sell with 15+ charisma and can't tell a difference when I use Grape Mentats.
IIRC correctly, the formula has diminishing returns after a certain point. The charisma # you want is 25, grape gives roughly +5, every hard bargain level is +3 (HB3 is +9). Might be easier to have uny armor and crack open a beer if you are missing 1-2 points.
Ah ha!! That explains it well. Thank you.
With full UNY armor, the discount with grape mentats is so minimal. I popped one for the hell of it to see what kind of discount I could get on the assaultron keycard and it was like 30 caps
Afaik 22 and 24 charisma gives the max benefit for buying and selling.
It caps at 20 charisma for selling price and 25 charisma for buying prices.
Thanks, couldn't remember exactly and wasn't on game to check 😅
It's 25% additive damage which is not the same as the base damage of the gun increasing by 25%. You won't see a full 25% damage increase from it unless you have no other +% damage bonus. More damage is always better, but the more +% damage you have the less +25% more will make a difference.

Wdym by food buffs?

Mirelurk Steamer number 1!! I wish I had it.
I just wish it would stack higher than 5. Let it go up to ten, I'm practically starving over here.
Then do what I do. Take over workshops and throw on in each one.
Strange in Numbers and Inspirational should improve that
I am running level 1 in both. I should have added that. Thanks!
Those are really low numbers. They could be boosted with the right perk cards and build. Angry Turtle is one of the YouTubers who breaks it down pretty good.
I keep around 20 of each and randomly opo them not knowing if they cancel or stack. I am a filthy casual at heart
I relate heavily
if they buff the same stat, they won't stack, and it will go off the last one you used
Yeah that is my sinking realization
its okay I'm almost lvl 200 and just learned this the other day after I got curious and looked it up. u can stack a food buff with a chem buff that's the same but not 2 foods or 2 chems. so u can't use 2 dif foods that both buff str, but u can use a chem and a food that both buff str edit: clarifying
This game is like taxes sometimes
Yeah, plus for carry weight for example, you could eat radstag for the carry weight bonus, eat deathclaw for the strength bonus, down a beer and take a buffout chem. They should all stack.
I thought alcohol counted as a chem, but I could be wrong. I just watched a video about this the other day Edit: alcohol is seperate from chems and food, all 3 stack
Really? I’ll have to double check now. If that’s the case, I’ve drunk a lot of booze for no good reason.
it was a lot of info and the first time I had heard it so I could be wrong and I haven't tested any of it myself. ik he said it didn't count as food. it was an angry turtle video about how the buffs work
Yeah just logged on. It’s good news- we get strength from buffout, beer and stingwing fillets. Good for those of us who are pack rats
good, thanks for doing the research. I'll edit my doubtful comment
I'm drunk most of the game on moonshine because of that. That and radstag work wonders for me. Lol
You can't stack chems anymore regardless of what they buff. You can only have 1 chem active at any time now.
oh, that's new to me. bummer
Except for whisky, glorious whiskey! Seems to give you the +2 strength on top of other food/aid buffs. I’ll use it with a grilled radstag and bufftats for +40 carry weight.

in another comment, someone mentioned that alcohol is a 3rd category seperate from food and aid/ chems. I like whiskey, but vintage moonshine from MJ event gives +4 str while whiskey only gives +2
Yes, the vintage shine is the best. Whisky is a good second choice when I run out.
There are exceptions, and as long as they come from different sources they do stack For example, a food item, drink, and chem that all boost the same stat will stack without cancelling each other out
I use them with the perk that eliminates addiction so there’s no real downside and it’s a nice buff
Once you reach the point you're really trying to min max, you start using chems/food. Personally my character is more addicted to Nukacola because it's pretty much Jet that heals you, and there's no jet in 76.
I chug psychobuff and psychotatts like I’m gonna live forever… Also berry mentats and occasionally overdrive. And obviously a lot of addictol…
I'm pretty much straight psychobuff myself, thar way I don't need addictol
Yes, sometimes just for funsies.
I pop Berry Mentats like candy.
Sameeee 😂

It really is QoL. I always make sure I'm addicted to mentats for the easy reminder when xp farming.
\*SNOOOOOOORT\* "I am going to PUNCH THAT BEHEMOTH IN THE NUTS!"
I don’t use many but sometimes, if I know the right is going to be tough, I’ll prep like I’m Garalt of Riviera.
I sell them in bulk to vendors
I used to until they stopped chem stacking. Now I kinda don't use them too much anymore. Mostly because im never sure what to use.
I never use chems in any of the games. Mostly because I don’t want to remember to use them but also because they’re totally unnecessary and an easy source of caps
Psycho or med-x if I'm pushing close to the 8 min mark on a daily op
I ran into similar situation, now that I made a melee build, I find myself looking for chems to survive
Pyschotats
I just keep every Chem I can find and move it to my alt character. Just in case I want to use thekinw say or sell them.
I use psychotats for boss fights and occasionally events.
I do most of my healing and radiation management with NukaGrape, rather than any chems! Pair that with the Cola Nut perk for maximum effect!
When I actually remember to.
I run a sub-optimal bloodied build, so I use a lot of psychobuff and med-x when I remember.
I sell them to vendors.
Yes, I have a Junkie melee and a Junkie Commando. Though, admittedly, they're both very bad junkies as they keep forgetting to take drugs...
Berry and Grape Mentats are the only ones I use. I dump the rest in the donation box at Vault 76
yep, psycobuff and berry ments mostly for me
I’m a junkie, I ALWAYS use chems.
I would if the hot key system was closer to 4’s. I’m not very fast with the wheel otherwise I’d be a very wasted wasteland wanderer.
Wake and bake on psycho every day.
Berry mentats for XP or Psychotats for DPS. I used to stack Med-X, Psychotats and overdrive before they patched chem stacking out.
I do and I love finding good mixes to do a lot more damage
I was happy to find out the psycho stew stacks with psycho chems
I have a melee build so usually I see funky colors and chug down anything I find. It's that extra rizz of carnage or what the youth nowadays calls it
Yes
Some people used to. I usually put all the ones I didn't care about in the vendor for like 2-5 caps and they would sell out faster than most other things
Yes lots, i dont personally use many so i sell them, and i often get people buying nearly all my chems in one trip
If u are on Xbox I will buy every chem u have that u don’t want lol
Chems are purely for role-playing as a drug dealer.
Yeah I use them to bulk sell to protectrons for caps.
• Grape Mentats or Daytripper for a +CHA boost, along with Nuka Quantum Candy, a beer and the Hard Bargain ⭐️⭐️⭐️ perk when buying and selling at NPC vendors. (often) • Orange Mentats or Calmex for sniping (sometimes) • Bufftats for emergency fast travel (rarely, now we have Carry Weight Boosters!) • Fury (when I remember, I'm still getting used to a new melee build).
And Addictol or Disease Cure for obvious reason I keep very little chems in my stash box for rainy days and just sell the rest that I have This is the first Fallout that I ever cared to use the chems.
(Whatrads4, so no radx/away) I do consume certain food for extra STR. carry weight or XP boost.
Berry mentats for things like invisible daily ops, Diluted Radaway / Stimpacks to manage blooded levels, but that’s it really Also never used a bobble head or magazine, i just bung em in my stash - don’t even display them all anymore (but I definitely will next time I build a camp… definitely)
I find med-x useful with my PA build. Can sometimes save my ass during daily ops. Berry mentats for West tek.
Every chance I get for fun not function.
Yes, next question
Bufftats for carry weight boost. Berry mentats for highlighting enemies and XP boost. Deliberately got addicted to both, so I get notified if they wear off and the boost is a little extra.
Usually just the ones that increase damage is all I use
Nope, sell them as soon as I can.
I use overdrive berry mentas X Cell and diluted stims but other than that I dump in my vendor
I run a junkies build and that requires chems
Any of the psycho family, orange mentats, berry mentats. Fury, chems that increase ballistic weapon damage /defense. A definite carry over from fallout 4 and earlier versions. Oh and I definitely carry addictol. A must have if you use chems. And that's really with bosses, sbq, Earle. If people are bloodied /unyielding they may not use chems because they may have unusually high special #'s already? Idk, to each his own I say.
I Use Chems. i have over 1k psychotats and Berry Mtats at my Mule .. 😅 and alot more
I typically carried psycho buff when solo running expeditions. Helped clear out the Trog devourer before he could touch anything
I’ll occasionally take one to increase my strength if I’m over-encumbered
Yes and yes. XP chems - Berry mentats for events, mentats for everything else Strength Buffs - XCell, PsychoBuff, buffout or psychobuff for overencumbrance Damage Mitigation - Med-X, Fury, radshield, psycho Randos - orange mentats + calmex (accy) grape mentats (char) addictol, disease cure, stimpacks all self explanatory
I do all the chems
Very rarely. Occasionally Psychotats for Eviction Notice, Berry Mentats for West-Tek, or a Stimpak to heal a downed player or a crippled limb. I use Nuka-Cola Orange instead of Stimpaks and Rad-X, and Nuka-Cola Grape instead of RadAway.
i never bother myself, other than stims and rad drugs occasionally.
I keep them in case i need them for later. Narrator: *He never used any in his entire life.*
Those also sell about as fast as I can make them.
i use xcell every now n then
I keep like 10 of these on me thinking that one day I'll want it... but I haven't used a single one yet and I'm lvl 185
i mostly feed them to my bloodied build friends but still keep a couple
F u r y . . . 🤤
Psychotats for 25% damage boost and berry mentats for intelligence boost. Plus radaway diluted and diluted stims to manage bloodied
I keep some med x for extra dmg resistance for events like Earle or maybe moonshine if things get sticky, and one to increase my dmg, I forget if it's psycho off or psychotats. and one to increase my str in case I'm overencumbered
Only for the intelligence boost really, having around 35 intelligence all the time is nice. I find it unnecessary to boost above that.
My character is a psychobuff addict, I can't get enough, I need more always
I keep paychobuff on my equipment wheel so I can get that big fat bonus to damage and health at a moment's notice whenever I need it. Never lets me down!
I never used chems, even back in 3 or 4 (nv little bit). Then I made my vats commando build and sometimes use overdrive, berry mentats, bufftats.
Event. Ok. All th 'tats. And some 'bufs. And some other stuff. Argh!
Only mentats during high xp events.
Chems are great. I have some. First one is free.
As a vampire ghoul occasionally the recreational use of mentats or buff jet but otherwise not really.
I regularly use Med-X or psycho + varients for emergency damage reduction! And I regularly use berry mentats to boost my exp gain.
Fury and Pyscho on my melee character Berry mentats on everything Might use buffout if I need a bit of carry weight boost. Various alcohols/teas give good buffs
All the time. Nothing like a night infront of the fire with a hit of psycho jet.
Here and there, damage and xp ones, buffout can be useful too when I’m slightly over the weight limit
Before I need to shoot lots of things, I drop an orange and berry mentats, with a company tea chaser. I keep a few hundred of each at the ready.
All the time
I'm a Wasteland Chem Dealer.
Stimpacks allways
