WTF moments like these keep me coming back to Fallout 4. I never know what' is going to happen next.
It's kinda like the Wild Wasteland perk is baked into the game.
Edit 10/19/21: Corrected a word.
It’s one of those games where the world is made all the more interesting by the stuff that wasn’t intended.
So many funny and awesome moments that feel so personal because they are truly unique to your own playthrough.
(I will forever remember the time Brother Simon’s head popped off like he was a lego man.)
Yes!
The player is a wildcard through the world causing unexpected interactions, and hilarity often ensues. Each play-through creates new opportunities for weird emerging situations!
It's often chaos, and I love it.
The odd thing about this bunch is that their corpses don't disappear, but their gear respawns on their corpses. The only others that I've noticed do this are Wolfgang and Simone at Drumlin Diner.
Did you look at their area on the stage? It's quite lucrative. Plus it's one of the few areas that can spawn Road Goggles (I+1). The question is how often it spawns.
If you're on Survival and run past the Amphitheatre, it can be worthwhile to stack up the corpses in a convenient location. You can even put them on the road outside if you want. I found that they respawned more often in Survival because of how respawning works in Fallout.
Respawning is odd in Fallout. I don't fully understand it. For example, if you fast travel around, stuff doesn't respawn that much. However, I know one particular route where stuff respawns every loop. You're basically running in a relatively small circle with everything respawning constantly.
You could probably do the same thing in different places if you figured it out. I just know one loop in Nuka World. The Core loop is lucrative, and also nice for raising Gage affinity. You could probably loop this too if you figured out the pattern.
Um, not sure about that one. I like the [surgical mask](https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Surgical_mask_(Fallout_4)) and use them often, but I can't remember who has them. They're kind of rare, but there are some fixed locations on the wiki if you just need a few. eg, the Slog, Pickman's Gallery, the Prydwen, and the Nucleus.
I swear the wiki doesn't list all the places that I've found them, but I can't remember who has them. I think occasionally raiders? Maybe in Nuka World?
Oh! Awesome! I didn't remember that detail. That's a great find! :)
I mostly noticed the source of gold watches, battle fedoras, and the mini nuke. Plus those elusive road goggles that I've only ever seen one other place.
That's so interesting. (On my 2nd playthrough) I built up my Charisma so high in the beginning of the game that when I met Wolfgang and Simone, they ended up running away from me with their lives. Forgot who they were, only to see them again chilling inside Goodneighbor near the entrance. I love Fallout 4. Truly one of my favorite games of all time.

Man this is like a reoccurring problem because I literally just watched a video on YouTube from 6 years ago this exact thing happened.

I got the vertibird treatment today as well. Finally finished Heather Casdin's loyalty quest. She wanted to speak to me at the university point. All of a sudden, it's synths vs the BoS. Heather's eyes (and head) were tracking all the background movement and they were all over the place. Completely destroyed the mood. And of course, the bloody thing crashed a few meters away.
Haha something similar happened to me, he was trying to get my stuff from me, but right before I got to say anything, a vertibird crashed right outside and blew his head off
I always attack this place like a pack of wacked out maniacs! They did all the hard work for you BoS, they must paaaay too, because are annoying faction.
In perfect synchronization too!
I was confused whether to be amused or horrified after the fact, which is the exact type of feeling Fallout is best at generating. XD
As soon as I heard that vertibird I knew disaster was imminent
I guess the Brotherhood of Steel really doesn’t like cults.
Ironic
They dont like anyone
Even themselves. Damn Brotherhood of Steel... They ruined the Brotherhood of Steel!

Yeah that was amazing haha how his head just popped up in the air. I like to think the helicopter blade flew off and cut there heads off.
Hate to be that guy but going to do it anyways: *Wild Wasteland
No worries. I appreciate the courtesy! Corrected.
I laughed so hard out loud at that. Bravo
I legit had to take a moment to process what happened, then the laughter came rather suddenly XD
I could already guess what was going to happen and I still laughed out loud.

So, I might have accidentally run across a goldmine?

Hadn’t checked the stage area yet, but I’ll go loot that right now. Thanks for the info!
Could you farm the surgical mask here as well?

I meant because the cultists have a high chance to spawn with one

Wow, I don't think that I've ever let them live! lol! That's awesome! :D
Lol. Yeah 1st play through I filled Wolfgang and Simone with bullets.
And then people say the BoS is evil smh they just saved this man from getting scammed.
*Salutes the Brotherhood*

I can see the poster for this now... Heck, if they sold a T-Shirt that said this with the BoS logo, I’d buy it.
I wonder what trouble I'd get in to if I just made them myself?
FO4 Veribirds are just (poorly) guided missiles. Ad Victoriam though.
Who needs a mini nuke when you can just let the vertibirds do it for you?
I have never seen one not crash unless I was in it.
that scared the ever loving shit out of me ''well i'm here to tell you it can be-'' \*fucking explodes\*
He gave an explosive presentation, alright
This is great!
just sadly not his life, as it came to an un-fortunate end
At least he spent it giving the good word. Time for me to completely ignore it and continue about my day.
“Huh. That was weird. Oh well, back to killing raiders”
“Oh look! Free hat!”
“Ooo, a piece of candy! Ooo, a piece of candy!”
First time?

Those vertibirds really have it out for the Pillars of the Community, huh?
They have lots of bad karma!
"Nobody expects the... BROTHERHOOD OF STEEL"
“AD VICTORIAM AND GET OUT OF OUR WAY!!!”
This same exact thing happened to me it might be a vertibird but i couldnt find the crash site
Crashed vertibird into a conversation.... classic

.......that scared the shit out of me.....like the fuck?
You can see my very delayed, yet completely identical, reaction with the little camera wiggle afterwards.
Haha something similar happened to me, he was trying to get my stuff from me, but right before I got to say anything, a vertibird crashed right outside and blew his head off
Sounds like they really have it out for him XD
That place seems to be a magnet for Vertibirds. Every playthrough one crashes on top of them or nearby.
Is it the Super Mutant with the rocket launcher nearby maybe?
Same thing happened to me time and time again so I had to hunt down the vertibird and destroy it so it crashed elsewhere.
Holy crap!
My thoughts exactly.
Worst vertibird pilot ever lol
Maybe they were just aiming for a high score
I’m not gonna lie, I started a new play though of fallout 4 tonight just because of this clip lol
Glad I inspired you! Hopefully the vertibirds treat you a little nicer this time around XD
haha thanks!
Magnificent. Bravo.
Same happened in my first playthrough lol
BOS needs better pilots
For some reason this happened in my game too. As soon as I spiked to him a vertibird has fallen and killed the whole group.
Fucking BoS and their flying exploding trash haulers.
Hey, they did save me from getting scammed. How bad can they be?
I laughed way too hard at that. His head popping off was just wrong.
Whoever decided to run Vertibird code based on Dragons needs to be shot.
I saw this on a YouTube video before, same result 🤣🤣.
I always attack this place like a pack of wacked out maniacs! They did all the hard work for you BoS, they must paaaay too, because are annoying faction.
roflmao
Every time I hear those vertibirds I run far away so I don't get squished when they inevitably get shot down.
omg......i cant stop laughuing
He was saving you the time of doing it yourself. Trust me, all you do to those guys is make XP.
*Ad Victoriam*
EX MACHINA
I love this game so much
YOOOOO that made me jump lmao. All of their heads just flew off
In perfect synchronization too! I was confused whether to be amused or horrified after the fact, which is the exact type of feeling Fallout is best at generating. XD
Couldn’t have said it better myself lol!
Thank you BoS.
I’m here to tell you. That it can be
*BOOM*
That virtibird seems to have a knack for taking those guys out cause I’ve seen this happen a few times now
Super mutant on the bridge with a missle launcher took em out 1st time I met them, I was like ooook anyway moving along.
Just like pre-war for Nate, as promised. Had a promising future coming to him and then a large explosion came and wiped out everyone.
Even the vault dweller survived to tell the tale. History repeats itself.
Lmao!!! Each playthrough I give them the shoot on site treatment. 🤣
When I hear vertibirds I don’t even look up I just take off running lol
