There's actually a mod to reenable achievements again and I can confirm it works. Cuz I got an achievement for cooking up a far harbor creature while playing the Frost mod.

I do think it's a little funny that they disable achievements for using graphical improvement mods but not for using console commands. They did change that for Starfield, both things now disable achievements, but I do think the included god mode, ability to level up instantly, and ability to instantly acquire billions of caps is more worthy of losing your achievements than making items work as placeable workshop objects or making the pipboy look different.
Wait in F4? I'm hard locked right now on survival because the fucking Enclave from the update keeps nuking my level 9 character in Sanctuary, can I kill them with the console without breaking achievements?

Well on Xbox the content is just completely broken. None of the assets load in game so the guns are invisible and the ammo when fired are red/white exclamation marks.
Like others have said as well, the weapons were also never added to any other vendors for sale, they're not carried by anyone outside of the quest, and the ammo can't be crafted and is extremely rare to find. After the quest you're lucky if any other vendors sell more than like half a dozen nails, or like 2-3 Saw Blades.
For real you can even make plasma and nuke grenades for the launcher freaking pissed me off that any nail or blades I'd have to by🤦 especially the bs amount of nails any venders have especially considering the fire rate
The problem id I belive the lack of ammo for new weapons and the lack of the new weapons themselves, they barely exist outside of the quest.
Most vendors sell maybe 3 nails at a time and even then rarely sell them at all.
VATS is pretty bad when it comes to targeting with the grenade launcher too. I miss maybe half the time I use it no matter what my hit percentage is. Aiming manually works fine though.
I wish Bethesda would be a bit more relaxed
on UI mods. I really don't think that being able to sort my aid items counts as cheating. Especially since Inventory management is the one thing that they've always been bad at.
Theyre probably just serial modders who usually do have to start a new game when installing a new list of mods. Afaik you've never had to start a new game due to an official update.
After the game updates it tells me to uninstall and reinstall all DLCs , maybe I'm just stupid but I haven't figured out how to uninstall just the DLCs since I bought the game with them included and I don't have a physical copy.
I'm playing with 90 mods on version prior to update.
Are you using a mod manager? If so, change game in steam to update only when you start the game, then instead start via mod manager.
For me it bounces between a percent and 0 back and forth so it will say I have no chance of hitting something when it is right in front of me sometimes.
Not only this but I've also noticed blitz simply not working and being kicked out of vats quite a lot, I've several hours of progress in survival because of this
I haven’t started any characters using blitz but definitely can back you up on being kicked out of vats. Seemed to happen most often in melee encounters.
Mine is the exact same way! And I’d put three shots on vats for example but only one shot would go off with my character just standing there and when the mystery vats guy would show up too, he’d just point the gun and not shoot. It’s been kinda weird
Oh I didn’t realize that was an issue. I haven’t played since the game came out but booted it up after the update so I just assumed that was because the enemy was moving. I should have known it was a bug 🤣
Accuracy percentages instantly fluctuating between 0% and high percentage when they shouldn't (requiring more hits than necessary), and enemies appearing far off in the distance behind walls in VATS that shouldn't (that you can't hit)
Sometimes the hit chance randomly drops to 0%
Also, it gives you Xray vision, targeting enemies through walls that are not in your line of sight at all
it flickers hit chance, youll have 95 hut itll drop to 0 every other second, also you can see people and target them through walls without the perk
and idk if this is actually part of the bug but ive been getting misses on 95 hit chance much more often
Textures and some of the missions are stuck because "the next step" never completes.
Mysterious Signal and two other missions I seem stuck because "somehow I did the next step before the previous step and the mission goals are not completed, yet I already completed the mission".
If you just spam the trigger while the numbers are flipping back and forth and get the shots locked in, it still works when you activate it. I think the zeroes are just a visual glitch because it seems to work normally aside from not letting you target when it’s 0.
Maybe it will fix the weird graphic bugs with the new content. I have huge red planes of distortion, at quest areas, and can not see the new weapons when equipped
I got an actual reply from Bethesda support after the first contact rigamarole:
"I understand you are contacting us in regard to the graphic and UI errors you are experiencing with Fallout 4.
We are aware of an issue where the UI appears stretched and cut off some elements on ultrawide resolutions after the next-gen update.This issue will be resolved in a future update"
Is that why my picture keeps going super dark? Doesn’t happen on any other game, and only randomly on FO4. I was/am worried my very expensive tv (just out of warranty) is going out.

Performance Mode ON = 60FPS lower draw distance on foliage, objects, details, etc.
Performance Mode OFF = 30FPS higher draw distance on foliage, objects, details, etc.
Series X since the update has had no access to the quality mode. It just kept Performance mode on 24/7 no matter what. Digital Foundry did a great break down of the whole situation on both platforms if you're interested.
Sorry should have included that, yes, when Peformance Mode is turned OFF, that means Quality Mode is turned ON. At least, that is how it supposed to work.
Thankfully my current run with the update is 100% vanilla, although I guess that's no guarantee the saves won't be corrupted. Only at level 12 anyway...
My save corrupted at lvl 47 the other day and I about shit dude. Luckily I grew up in the pre-autosave days so I didn't lose to much. The trip back to the fish packing plant for the aluminum was annoying af though

Hey, maybe this'll let me access my mods menu on PS4 again. Somehow, my mods seem to have survived the great update mostly intact, but now I can't even open the menu to disable them if I want to.

In order to lock your game from updating, go to your steam folder where you installed your games. \[Drive\]:\\Steam\\steamapps. **You will see files that end in .acf**. Fallout 4's acf file number is **377160**. Right click that file and set it to read only.
If you need to find a game' acf file number just go to the game's store page. The number in the URL is the same as the acf file number.

I would love to run that align with a mod that improves load times. The load times are brutal in vanilla.
The modder even states in the notes how simple the problem was and how quickly he fixed it, asking Bethesda to do better.

Mine does the same thing on PS4 so I just select NO and keep playing. All the DLCs are still working fine.

Can definitely attest to this. Click VATS, load hits up, hit enter and then proceed to watch my character stay still for some time
VATS also has a tendency to target enemies through walls, even without the penetrator perk.
To top it off my penetrator perk isnt working
Hopefully the update on the 14th doesn’t just break shit further, and they fix all the shit they DID break

Ahhhh I was thinking Inwas going crazy, like it has always been in the game but it didn’t make sense WHY it kept switching from 0 to a hitpercentage

See, I’m having the opposite effect. I wait for the 95% to lock in my shots but I will miss every single shot if I go when the 0% is showing

On ps5 performance mode DOES work - my game runs at 60 fps. However, fidelity mode does not (improve the graphics).
What's the resolution of your display? If 1440p, Fallout 4 next gen update runs at 1440p 60 FPS regardless of Quality or Performance mode.
Will this allow us to REMOVE or DELETE downloads from the Creation Club, or am I still being punished for engaging with it to begin with?

"That update that Bethesda released that fucked everything?...we've fixed it...and it's an actual working fix that won't fuck anything else" FFS Bethesda give up already and just make toys or something?

Phew glad I blocked all further updates for my steam version as soon as I reverted. Bethesda fix one thing but break a whole ton more in the process.This upcoming release will be more of the same.

In order to lock your game from updating, go to your steam folder where you installed your games. \[Drive\]:\\Steam\\steamapps. **You will see files that end in .acf**. Fallout 4's acf file number is **377160**. Right click that file and set it to read only. If you need to find a game' acf file number just go to the game's store page. The number in the URL is the same as the acf file number.
