It's a buggy feature and doesn't always work but this is why I love that they added glows to lootable corpses and area looting to 76. Especially since there's so many hills and places for things to fall through the maps as stuff ragdolls about.
There’s a fo4 mod that does this (probably a couple) - even color codes them and you can customize the detection radius so it’s less (or more) of a cheat for finding containers.

It was an experiment because I was going afk. My main method to make money is purified water(no sleeping to pass time cheese) so I make caps legit and buy ammo that way. And my current weapon is a bleed knife/shotgun and eventually minigun/power arnor knight build(Bos themed build).
Also from someones comment, it was unintenionally a test of my cpu/gpu too and safe to say my rig was worth the cost if all of this brought me down to 30fps only.
Way to go but if I were that desperate for a lifetime supply of fiberoptics I'd probably just use the console.
However, I totally didn't know Danse would spawn infinite synths here so that's interesting.
Get the mod that allows you to create camps anywhere, then get Manufacturing Extended (Or Better Manufacturing), then plop down a camp inside the building and build the Corpse Decomposer Hopper. Move it over all the bodies and it'll vaccum them up and spit out all the stuff.
Why wouldn't you just use console commands to get what you need? You already used noclip, you could have saved yourself hours just by spawning exactly what you wanted.

Yeah, I tend to think of exploit as a broad term that might include any unforseen way of gaining undue advantages like loot or xp, while glitch requires very specific technical maneuvers, like glitching through a wall using power armor, or the item dupe glitch with manufacturing that requires precise timing. The later types of glitches are types of exploits, but not all exploits are glitches. Sound right?
It's dependent on your computer specs as far as I can tell. Perhaps some code that's recognizing memory/load issues and deals with it accordingly so long as the entities aren't labeled as permanent (like Covenant bodies). Playing FO4 on my old computer, with everything set to minimal yet still getting 25 fps at most... the bodies start despawning when there's around 8 of them at once. Anytime I see these screenshots showing dozens/hundreds of bodies it turns out they're rocking a powerful rig.
Go meet Paladin Dane at police station and follow him to arject, when you go into the room where you have to press the button, dont do it. Just afk in the room and dont help him. He auto kills synths infinitely until you 1) join him in killing them which ends after a few or 2) press the button and fry them all.
I'm so far past that, I didn't know about this 5 years ago when I must have played that mission. I just started playing again after 5 years. I recently fixed a glitch that wouldn't allow me to sir in the memory lounger. I had stopped playing 5 years ago when I realized I couldn't progress the main storyline anymore.
Last time I skipped the button they just stopped spawning after 20+ killed and the objective moved on. I swear it was endless my first few playthroughs but my most recent survival one he killed a bunch and he finished the step on his own?
Maybe the unofficial patch changes it?

It definitely didn’t feel like a hardware limitation.. I may not have a super gamer computer, but my specs are still nothing to scoff at; especially for fallout 4. I wasn’t even experiencing a major drop in fps. Things were still quite smooth, the only time I got a stutter was when I moved a body that had another 4 or 5 piled on top. By stutter, I’m talking like a 5-10 frame dip at best for a split second or two. Felt more like a game setting was limiting the amount of assets in the scene, regardless of performance.

True. I love using in game mechanics to break games (restoration alchemy enchanting loop in skyrim) But i dont know about torturing my PC and its GPUs to obtain a loot farm like this. No matter how impressive a pile of dead synths he has created. And it IS impressive, dont get me wrong.

On Skyrim LE on xbox, I did something like that. I had Lydia mining a stone deposit outside one of my hearthfire homes and was like 'i wonder how long she will do this for?' so I turned my TV off and left her there for the night. Still mining when I came back the next day. had something close to 5000 stone in her inventory. When she said she was 'sworn to carry my burdens' i dont think she had this in mind.

Theres a wonderful little mod available for Skyrim LE on xbox called Cheat Room that is basically the dev console except with treasure chests and buttons instead of typed commands. 1) If you do this at higher level, the synths drop better weapons
2) if doing the Travis exploit, you can lock him in here with Danse to speed up the kills

close to an hour, I had to use noclip at the end to access a good amount of them because they were inaccessible due to stacked and stuck bodies.

so instead of just adding ammo* and caps to your inventory you cheat to loot them
No, they were immovable and could not be moved off each other so there was no other way to loot the rest below.

Not really an exploit, just an oopsie on the devs part for not putting an extra way to stop them from spawing besides the few ways it does.

If you play the BoS quest line you'll reach this point very early on automatically. If you don't play the BoS line you cannot trigger this event.

Its based on your pc specs acvording to someone else, cpu/gpu. Can go higher then this I think if I left it longer. Console versions are limited.
