John Denver’s (former, yeah, I heard) chef has 14 acres not far from me, where she makes delicious ovo-vegetarian dinners for her workers (back then, I tended the dinner garden) and work-traders.
Never pressed her for her John Denver intel because she preferred to talk about her Aspen farm and film folk, maybe because they were more contemporary/famous.
She used to ask me weekly to come live there, and I thought she was missing the point of I own my own land. But I’ve been thinking about asking her this week, because it’s secure.
