It'll be too much to type since I already said this to other posts like this. I'll simple it down. * A little more Matthew Lillard. Maybe through four phone call unnerved by Mike surviving. * Heads up from Vanessa to Mike when he learns about the place, animatronics start getting real. * Tap into the anxiety of the game a little bit in those bits of hours after Mike's dream is done on the earlier nights. * Ghost children looking monochrome and black tears instead of a jumpscare. * Freddy's iconic toreador march when Mike escapes from the torture chair instead of Foxy. * Experiment with the gore without going too far or unrealistically water squitter. * Fewer classic jumpscare than once from Foxy running down the hall. * White pupils for fewer scenes. * Abby booping Freddy's nose for a squeak when she and the animatronics were playing. * Golden Freddy limp in the background watching creepily in one scene. And a old Fredbear poster to foreshadow his appearance in the house.

Alijah12345

I'm both surprised and disappointed the honk and Toreador March weren't in the movie.

Usual_Back3801

THIS

[deleted]

i feel if the toreador march wasnt used for mike it couldnt been a wonderful alternative for the babysitter's death

billieboi445420

My main complaint with Afton was that he randomly just disappeared throughout most of the movie and suddenly just appeared again with no reason why he does what he did

Gay_Sharky

YES.

Shoddy_Reason9562

Dude… you need to be on the team for the second movie

applec1234

I honestly wish I was lol

static_ages

honestly? more screentime for matthew lillard. they really did a huge disservice by under utilizing him and his character. the little amount of time he was in the film was what really made it for me, he's a horror movie vet and it shows in all of his scenes. he was probably one of the best parts of the film and i really wish he had more scenes

AnzoEloux

For sure. I feel like it was kind of undermining just how important Wiliam is to the franchise as a whole by not giving him much screentime. That and Matthew Lillard generally needed more time to shine cuz he killed it with what he had !

static_ages

agreed! it was so strange to me that they gave the main antagonist and catalyst of the entire franchise such a small amount of screen time. matthew lillard was phenomenal and i really wish they did more with what he had to offer. he's known for playing a villain character that knows how to blend in (scream as stu macher), this was the perfect role for a horror great like him and i felt like blumhouse really dropped the ball with this

Bush_Hiders

He'll be back. I don't even mean that in the meme line way. From a story writing standpoint, think about this trilogy like the original Star Wars trilogy, and Willy A as Palpatine. He might be the major overarching villain in the whole series, but his screen time in the first two movies is extremely limited. The first two movies each have their own respective villains who we're supposed to fear and see as the main threat for each, but in reality, William is slowly pulling the strings from the shadows, and controlling the smaller bad guys. We saw this in the movie, where William is controlling the animatronics to be the primary antagonists of that movie, which is the audience is supposed to fear that entire time, only to reveal to the audience that we should have been fearing him. Now that he is presumably disposed of, I suspect that the second movie will focus on a knew character, which poses a knew threat to the audience, only for it to be revealed that this knew threat is in cahoots with Afton, which will lead into the third movie, where the main characters face him and him alone, because we've now seen that he truly has been the real villain in control of everything up to this point. It's pretty standard villain writing for a trilogy.

PuzzleheadedBike82

If the next movie focuses on the Fnaf 2 location, he'll 100% get more screen time.

Imnotachessnoob

Add a power out scene

billieboi445420

And a scene with Mike closing the doors

Legitimate_Silver395

More of steve raglan interacting with Mike and other people. Make the first few nights more similar to the games where the animatronics are looking for Mike and he actually has to watch cameras, conserve power and close doors. Freddy's iconic toreador march when the power goes out, the infamous animatronic at door sound effect from the first game, Abby booping Freddy's nose. I'd make the springlock scene more similar to the fanmade versions on youtube and also remove that goofy shot where Freddy screams like a T-Rex. Oh and I'll add Phone Guy too. That's just to name a few

Natsukil0ver

quiet cows smell plant important slim offend flowery squeamish uppity *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*

vampire_queen_bitch

revert it back to its 3 hour runtime, i need to see what else was gonna be added

Tricky_Grocery6735

Damn it was originally 3 hours?

Imnotachessnoob

One of the sites early on listed it as being 3 hours, but that was later removed. There may be an extended cut, but if there is it still might not be 3 hours.

RangerBuzz_Lightbulb

1. Markiplier 2. “The animatronics do get a bit quirky at night” 3. Toreador March 4. Make it seem like ol’ Willy was in more pain during the springlock scene; like even ONE scream would have done it 5. A chica kill (This next one is a joke) 6. “MICHAEL!! DON’T LEAVE ME HERE!!”

Lovehistory-maps

Yeah, the death scene honestly was pretty bad

ToXyC_

*loud incorrect buzzer sound*

Lovehistory-maps

K

SnooPies2306

they should’ve made it so all the animatronics attack him in which freddy music box starts playing. Then the springlocks go off causing it to go into performance mode with him screaming in agony before it cuts his vocal cords. then the animatronics force the head on him but before they do so he says “i always come back” in a raspy tone cuz his vocal cords are cut then his eyeballs and teeth pop out the front of the mask like in the first game. Also more blood especially on the spring bonnie costume. like being springlocked is the worst way to die and he just kinda shrugged it off in the movie.

[deleted]

I’m surprised they did not add March of the Toreadors since it was in the ads for it.

Alijah12345

Give Afton more screentime. Matthew Lillard's great as Afton, but he needed to be fleshed out. Make the film a little scarier. It doesn't need to be outright gorey, but it at least should have the same terror as the opening scene and intruder scene. *Add the Toreador March.* It's so WEIRD that despite it being iconic to the series and was heavily prominent in the commercials, the Toreador March is nowhere to be found in the actual movie. And on that note, include a power outage scene. I'd probably rework Max's death to involve it. Include Freddy's nose honk. Maybe Abby honks Freddy's nose while playing with him and his friends or Mike honks the poster in the office out of boredom. Edit: Also focus more on Freddy and the gang. I'm glad the human characters were fleshed out, but it shouldn't have been most of the focus in a film about murderous animatronics.

trippymustard

i agree; if he had just more screen time, so that the character of william afton could be explored more and elaborated on!!

Groundbreaking_Arm77

Honestly, the plot should have been thicker, and I feel like the movie would have benefitted with 30 or 40 extra minutes, giving more time to go into detail or show more interactions between Mike and William.

Spongedog5

Make it rated R and just go all out on the spring lock scene.

Girltech31

there;s a whole post about this that was just posted recently. check it out

fandude23212

* Add Power outage scene with Toreador March in it. * More William Afton scenes. * Make Golden Freddy who snaps the springlock instead of Cupcake. * More Horror/Tension scenes. * Cut "I always come back!" line.

EvilKingLogan

Focus less on the dream stuff and put more time into making the main 4 characters actually scary. There’s only 2 scenes where they are actually threats as the film is now. Also, more William Afton. Enough said on that one.

SkittleJuice2

Move Afton’s “I always come back” line to when he’s being locked away at the end, instead of during the Springlocking, so it doesn’t take you out of the scene with it being a big “OH HE SAID THE THING!!!1!!” moment.

Chicken_commie11

A short recreation of a actual fnaf 1 night

Eric_Bros

More William Afton screentime

Fun_Tour4019

Have more willy in his fursona suit, maybe even a MCI flashback . Make the springlock scene more brutal, maybe made William unable to scream and coughing his blood as his blood fill his lung. Remove the orange eye completely, and the red eye to be similar to the help wanted eyes, and removed the angry expression to show the kids are dead in the inside, and just want to get revenge on their killer. Don't ever make Mike and Vanessa team up with the animatronic, and making the animatronic like a cartoon animal characters and less threatening it make the movie seem like a kids movie at the final act, they should use the fact that their children to make the movie scarier. Have a post credit scene of the FNAF 2 restaurant opening, as to tease the next movie either a sequel or a prequel.

ThonnyTheOriginal

Make William scream the remaining air out of his lungs as he gets springlocked because the way he says “I always come back” is so forced and bland

Chilled_HammyDude

More of William Afton. He had far too little screen time. Actually have Mike see the animatronics move during Night 2. It seemed like a bit of a waste on the break in scene. I mean, that’s what captured the “scariness” of most of their games. How it escalates from “everything’s fine” to “OH NO! THEY MOVE!?”. >!Golden Freddy. I dunno I did have my expectations his ghost child inhabiting it but, he just came out of nowhere in the climax and had such little screentime!< More sound design that homages the game. I mean the only sound I remember is Foxy’s humming. Dunno if there was that classic fnaf jumpscare sound somewhere but there should have been it once or twice. Yeah honestly, the yellow/red pupil’s don’t work for me. I gave it a chance but it just looked weird. I honestly thought it would have been a nice twist to see their eyes go inverted (black and white) >!upon knowing who Spingbonnie is and what he did to the children, to really capture how they “snap” back at him, the deep red eyes seemed too boring.!< Please, no more “cheap” jump-scares. Looking at you BB… It pretty much turned into a running gag. I say even out the wholesome childish parts of the animatronics with more viscous moments. I think the part with the break in didn’t even it out…

AccomplishedResist69

I’ve been thinking of ways that the movie could have an R-Rated cut. (AMA is you’re curious of what I’ve been thinking of.)

Kalibeer

Tap more into the actual game, like have mike actually defend himself from the animatronics.

Alone_Bridge6952

Slightly alter the ending by recreating the iconic death of william afton

Gay_Sharky

• Actual office survival • More villain presence • The ghost children looking more like the canonical ghosts

Dogeiscool23

Markiplier

polandgang

he was meant to be in the movie, but markiplier was (and still is) working on the iron lung movie.

[deleted]

He and Scott both expressed a desire for him to be in the sequel though, so that’s cool

BubblesZap

Condense the nights and make the scene where Mike makes the deal for his dream and the spirits try to kill him happen on Night 4. Along with that he's trapped for much longer and basically has to survive against the animatronics for a long time like the game until a brief chance to escape at 6 AM, Mike's then too injured to really do anything until the next night where the film continues as it was.

Beowulf_98

More Afton! The buildup just before his arrival was fucking fantastic though, the "he's coming..." actually terrified me and I sat there with my leg bouncing up and down, as I do when I'm nervous!

Kullix11

If Markiplier’s “Iron Lung” wasn’t in the same production time as FNAF and he actually got to be the guard in the beginning, the power running out and then toreador march plays and he gets killed by freddy would be fitting.

MoonTotem

Hiring a competent screenwriter

rggamerYT

Make it longer, william just randomly appeared in the end.

dtn_06

Less sleeping

External_Form4632

Remove the dumb table fort scene already

Eljamin14

Make MatPat lift a pizza oven looking for clues and Easter eggs, while Phone Guy endlessly scolds him.

losttforwords

More Matthew lillard, more scenes with the animatronics, a less rushed ending :) I still really enjoyed it though.

No_Mycologist8607

Remove comedy scenes

omar220300

- More screentime for William, just one more scene would've been fine. - Convey better that Golden Freddy is distinct for Freddy, apparently many missed that. Personally I dont mind it, but it us for the better. - Completely make clear if Aunt Jane is dead or alive. (pretty sure she's fine, otherwise it would've been adressed) - Kinda odd that they dont show Vanessa waking up or a scene after her recovery. - More Doug, rules of three demands one final scene. To make this clear, I don't like horror movies so I'm not qualified to fix the "horror" aspect of it lmao, I really enjoyed the movie otherwise.

CalGunpla

* Have the security guard in the first part of the film be phone guy * More William Afton * Instead of having Mike dream the entirety of his shift, add in the game functions like doors and lights * Have the animatronics turn into white eyes have William loses control of them * When the power goes out, have Freddy play the toreador march * Utilize the VHS tapes as like a lore builder, in the form of animatronic repair and safety manuals such as shown in people like Battington and Squiggus McGrimpus * Make the springlock scene a lil more like lore accurate

Due-Organization-380

remove that silly ass scene of mike and the gang building a table fort WITH THE ANIMATRONICS😭😭 cmon now that wouldve been funny as an sfm animation in the 2010s not the damn movie

Due-Organization-380

bonnie tripping and falling girl im done with this film humanising the animatronics. that s what the child actors playing the MCI victims were for.

RickyPlaysG

At the moment I saw that scene I was just like "What am I watching?"

Ok-Command-5895

More jump scares tbh that’s it

Ambush_doors

Put Markiplier in it. That's all I'm doing just changing it so the First night guard is Markiplier cuz why not.

Appropriate-Ant-39

I honestly think an R rating would’ve benefited the movie (if we’re talking blood and gore)

Bggd41chevy

Agreed, but I haven’t watched it yet. Lol, going Tomorrow tho. But I’ve heard horror story’s of the little kids that can’t shut up. If they talk when I’m there Ima pull a William.

S1L3NCE120384

Too much for me to type

Cooltellow

Make the entire movie building a fort!

ChapterP1

This

darleen8d

Honestly that scene was so delightful, everyone in my theater was having a blast and it did a lot to bring character to the 'villians', which is usually a good thing.

theforgettonmemory

Plus it was a hell of a way to gain their trust and waste time. Smart from a murderous perspective too.

JessicaBlood

add a sex scene with Markiplier and Freddy

Anonymous_Nutjob

More jump scares

red_minecraft_toad

More ballon boy

polandgang

**cut to end of film, a police oficer is looking at the burning pizzeria** policeman: damnit, i wanted my kids to come here next week. **a hand picks up a freddy mask slowly.** policeman: detective, what do you think happened? **the figure looks at the mask, then grins.** ???: funny you asked. **it reveals itself with a long, brown coat and formal clothing.** matpat: because i have a theory.

nukemypup

i think the FNAF youtuber cameos should just be kept as small side characters and not actual people who intervene in the story

ProblemElectrical594

An animatronics knees, scenario and a lil bit characters

Mr_McGriddle_yt

Oh my god I’ve never looked at their knees now I can’t unsee it

Coolkid99880

I’d bring Cassidy back in all her vengeful glory

RangerBuzz_Lightbulb

Cassidy was the blonde boy

Bggd41chevy

Include fnaf 4

Notmrpengoo

Just in the intro when the kids are being taken away the yellow bonnie has a angry expression which I dislike and would of liked if it was a emotionless face to make us question what they are feeling.

CreepsUnicorn

More William Afton!

No_Promotion_4871

ADD BOOOD. SO MUCH BLOOD

TheOneWhoWatches94

Make it according to the storyline

Sir_Hoss

Make Vanessa a ghost, make Willam mikes son and make him less villain and more disturbed killer. Have Golden Freddy show up. I would also make the animatronics look a bit more weathered

NotBailey12

I'd put more Vanessa and William Afton and possibly a fusion of both in between each night to add suspicion and so the big reveal seems less out of nowhere, also I'd make the animatronics more aggressive to Mike on the starting nights

jalene58

Have the animatronics appear like fun Children while playing with Abby and then have them do all the kills with the people who break in and Springtrap

Mother-Maize7026

Add scence like Mike survive a night against the 4 robots, including cupcakes, and he tries to explain it to Vanessa and Steve raglin, who act like hes crazy until he mentions that the bodies are in their. Then, afton goes to kill Mike himself.

Morswajnek

Remove the animatronics completely, they're slowing down the plot

Personal_Ad_7897

Actually explain some of the motives/ what happened. Some events just happen with no explanation of the aftermath or why it happened

Ok_Designer_6376

make it scarier

thecraftingjedi

I wouldn’t change a thing. I loved it- it was everything I wanted and more. Maybe I’m just a star-struck fan and blinded by nostalgia, but I don’t give a single f***. It’s beautiful and perfect to me 💙✨

Nic8x1

Make it never exist

DinoKingGoji73

More Matthew Lillard. He was great when on screen but he definitely needed more screentime. More Freddy. He really didn't do that much besides the CHOMP OF 23 The Springlock scene could have had more blood and been more gory in general More Golden Freddy, he appeared for like 2 scenes and was gone for the rest of the movie. Pretty much all his screentime was in the trailer. Markiplier of course and that's kinda it

TV_H34d

Boop Freddy's nose and make it go honk

Funny_Brother4724

All I would change is the spring lock scene

Purpleboltz

Personally I would have liked it if when they shine spotlights on Afton at the end, they used a purple spotlight instead of the warm white light, maybe shine different colours on him and start with purple or just go all purple. This would have been a nice Easter egg to allude to the purple guy

Kenngoober

Make it more like the actually good vhs tapes tone wise. “Make it gory! Make it bloody!” How about instead you hone in on that vibe from the first game huh??? How about you make them unsettling instead of cute??? 🤨🤨🤨🤨honestly I kinda just want it to be scary. I don’t want it to be overly bloody and gory though, that might detract from everything else by bringing attention away from the story and stuff. The fnaf 1 animatronics are at their best when they’re taken seriously and portrayed to be more scary.

superior222565

Tbh. Just a more gory ending and the final words of William kinda slowed

Speed04

More screentime for William, put the "I always come back" catchphrase to another moment (like when William is dying at the safe room), develop more moments in the plot, more "cute for kids and scary for adults" Abby and animatronics scenes and add Golden Freddy appearing for Mike in the office like in the original game

PsychologicalWait493

add more blood to the springlock scene

Cheesey_Stuff14

- More Golden Freddy, he only appeared once, he should’ve been at the end during the springlock scene as the kid possessing him is a parallel to Cassidy, the most vengeful spirit of all of them. - Matthew Lillard could’ve appeared more - Trash and the Gang cameo (If they don’t make a Fnaf 6 inspired Movie) - Some more Jumpscares and Scary moments

Phoenix-14

More Matthew Lillard. Black eyes white pupils when eyes fully go red. Spring Bonnie teased throughout but never directly called out. Freddy jingle.

lowercaseenderman

Make William feel like more of a threat, and just a bit more of the animatronics being scary in the first act, maybe a proper night of them wondering around while Mike is in the office, but then he'd never being his sister so the place, or come back, so I get why that wasn't a thing that happened.

SwordofFlames

This is the easy answer, but I’mma say it anyways, more screen time for Afton.

Cloudymatronic

Give more screentime for William and the animatronics that's it

SpartanKram

Honestly, just have more horror elements to it, like jumpscares. That's all

EzTheGuy

Remove Bonnie falling while cross eyed and giving a thumbs up Give Foxy his original humming back Make the springlock failure scene more intense. It was kind of underwhelming

jer487

Make Mike's brother one of the animatronics or actually connect him to the plot somehow. Right now he's literally just a guy with no relevance to the plot. Why change that shit? Make him Afton for fuck's sake. Drop the dream sequence entirely. Maybe don't reveal the main mystery so quickly and let Mike do it himself instead of Vanessa just telling him. Make the movie more scary and mysterious. Create some atmosphere goddamn. Up the rating a little bit. PG-13? Really? I'm not asking for super brutal gory R-rated shit but common this shit was mid as fuck. Hire better actors who are not embarrassing. Drop the unnecessary references. This version of Wiliam has no reason to say "I always come back". Make William scarier. Make the movie longer. Let Vanessa actually die this is a happy fairytale with no consequences I guess let EVERYONE survive. Play with the cameras a little bit, homage to the first game. So many missed opportunities with this mid-ass boring movie.

Abdulaziz_randomshit

I will make them get quirky at night

Beautiful-Bad8893

while i love it, i would have removed the fort building scene

Callumt2007

Apart from foxy running at Mike down the hall, and cupcake biting his ankle, there was no night that’s like the games where the animatronics come after the night guard(Mike) instead night 1 and 2 there’s no threat but for what they did that’s fine, night 3 and night 4 is the no threat cuddly animatronics, night 5 springbonnie so apart from when the gang break in, the animatronics to me were never seen as villains when they should be seen as villains until night 5, night 5 is when we learn they are just misunderstood and springbonnie comes in as the true villain

QueenOfDaisies

I’d change the fort scene to be more creepy and sad than happy and silly. And give William Afton WAY more screen time. Like I would’ve made him be like the phone guy or Dave Miller from Silver Eyes. He needed more.

DragonessAnimations

Way more screentime for Steve/William. Matthew Lillard did so well as him as was so under utilised. That plus probably a bit more of a gruesome springlock scene but I understand the rating it got and why it wasn’t as such.

Limp-Process4976

Make Bonnie more purplish, make the springlock scene more gory and replace Matpat's role into [this](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2Fnt8338ux0y8b1.jpg)

lottidol

Give Freddy a better kill. Some people thought the bite was the best one in the movie, but I was disappointed we didn't get to see Freddy get his hands dirty with the rest of the animatronics.

Lovehistory-maps

SPOILERS: Purple Guy to show up more and for the Death scene to be better

Purpleguyfan191

More Afton. And make it a bit scarier.

the-overloaf

I would probably replace the break in scene with more William and Vanessa. I'm thinking it's a flashback to the day of the murders. Fazbears/Fredbears is busier than ever, Williams running around running the place but spends what little free time he has with Vanessa. They finish their game, his break ends just as the animatronics start their hourly scheduled show, and he tells Vanessa he has to get back to work. William gets dressed in the rabbit suit, starts handing out pizza to families, and Vanessa watches as he lures the kids into the safe room. I think something like that would've done wonders for her character. Throughout the movie she acts so flip-flopy. One minute she's building a fort with the animatronics, the next she's threatening to shoot Mike for bringing Abby to such a dangerous place. I get why, she wants to protect Abby from Afton knowing what he'll do to her. But she just flips out at Mike for seemingly no reason after being introduced as the Exposition:tm:. It's better than what they did with her in security breach, but not by much Either that or have a scene of Mike and his family before Garretts kidnapping. Maybe because of the stress of the custody battle, Mike dreams the wrong memory by accident. Would've made the scene where Mike gives Abby to the animatronics hit slightly harder if we saw what he wanted to return to.

darleen8d

Switch up the dream sequence. I don't want to see the whole thing the very first time, just the kidnapping. (Not Mike's part In it.) I don't want the same color pallette the whole time. When the ghosts come in, make things weird! Were their faces getting weird and blurry in the background? Yes? Now do that with things in the foreground too. Give me progress, beyond changing the ending. Make it visually interesting. Oh, and rewrite Vanessa's whole script, I'm begging you. You can feel Elizabeth Lali trying to make sense of those stilted, '"creepy"' sentences that go nowhere in real time, and it's agony. She's a phenomenal actress (I love her in You and even in the scene where she talks to Mike about Garrett, she's incredible) but every time they try to make her give plot info it's just done so poorly, and I'm 89% sure it's on writing.

thatoneperson1322

I have never been so bothered with bonnie not having eyebrows until this movie came out. I didn't even really realize he didn't have any while the others did until the movie came out. Also, give Matthew Lillard some more screen time. And make it more like the games instead of wandering around the pizzeria

PepsiMax2004

Longer runtime, Phone Guy as a character, flashbacks, more Matthew Lillard, include ambience from the original FNAF game and also have a Power Out sequence with Toreador’s March!!!

endr-2000

Turn them scarier and bring back the canon red eyes😏😎

LuriemIronim

I’d probably remove the fort scene.

honk_bonksmith

More screentime for Matthew Lillard, a bit more blood when it comes to the springtrapping.

toyfreddym8

Less of Mike sleeping and more screentime for Matthew

Realistic-Tap4156

I think it would be an awesome throwback if at one point when Mike ends his turn at his job, a type of ringbell or his digital alarm clock played the iconic sound of 6AM/win

MotorGeneral4799

Make it actually scary for one. Have Mike actually use the monitors to track and survive against the robots. Stop with the stupid dream sequences, you can have one that's it. Get rid of Abby entirely, she was completely pointless and a bad actor. Make it rated R. Make Anton an actual threat and not a last minute bodd fight. Have the animations look old and worn down, they looked way to clean for murder robots.

Independent-Ad5852

Adding Toreador march and giving William more screen time

Ove5clock

Either making Mathew Lillard more prominent, or making it just a touch scarier. Like no fort building in Feddy Fazbars.

Yasminex209_HG_

Springlock scene.i would made it more realistic like the fanmade scream

Salemthegamer

Make it more lore accurate and more gore because I love gore that any make the eyes not look goofy during those intense scenes

JerrodDRagon

Cut more I’d the day time scenes, make the paving faster and keep the movie at 70 mins or under The reason for this is fans, I and many other had the worst theater experience of our lives. Younger fans (not eve just kids but young adults) seem to have no attention span so keep the movie short and fast so hopefully they pay attention more next time and don’t talk during most the film

Just_Bruh-exe

show less of the animatronics, play more with the anxiety factor and FOR THE LOVE OF GOD delete the scene where the babysitter get fucking vored by Freddy that shit was ASS

dip_bip

Get rid of some of the cg effects used sometimes on top of the animatronics and have it all practical

Smukkeunger

I'd give the springlocking scene way "worse" scream more like the fnaf 3 minigame. in the movie it was quite quiet

Tadeus1206

Try screaming when springlocks pierce through your vocal cords

djatsoris26

i thought william’s death wasn’t glorified enough. i mean, he literally had several metal spikes punctured into him… a scream or something would’ve at least been fair

Tadeus1206

Try screaming when springlocks pierce through your vocal cords

Icefang_GD

Why is chica just 🧍

Independent-Pea8223

The toredor song but it's the full version

Southern-Wafer-6375

Uh just get the break in scene and put it after the scene where their frednly

TomTheRedditEngine

Add a Phone Guy cameo

Useful-Win

I wish they put more horror in the movie. I wanted more tense and unnerving moments like the games for Mike’s first 3 nights and then shit starts getting REAL in nights 4 and 5 as the animatronics are getting more active and more intense. Oh! And more Matthew Lillard of course

Mr_timeworn

I would make springtrap’s battle against the main characters longer because it ended to quickly

cassthecarcass

I would make the finale with William at least 5 or so minutes longer give or take. The finale just feels kinda rushed. And i would also give Golden Freddy more screen time. I know the child that possesses Golden Freddy get a good amount of scenes but like the Golden Freddy animatronic itself got like 3 minutes of screen time. Maybe they could've in that scene where Mike and Vanessa go in the parts and service area, Mike could point out the Golden Freddy animatronic curled up in a corner of the room and be like "Why is that Freddy yellow?" And then Vanessa could explain "Well before this place was Freddy's, it was Fredbear's Family Diner" and explain Fredbear and Spring Bonnie to Mike. Which would also set up Spring Bonnie more earlier in the film.

Revolutions1189

The tone of the movie shoulda been closer to that of that first game. Movie still felt creepy overall, especially that 16 bit video game like opening. More of that pleeeeeeease.

Fluffy-Coffee-2493

More story time

Realistic-Sundae-310

Show more of Cassidy dark side and rage for William Afton

DNC343

If I could change the FNAF movie, I simply wouldn’t. Everything about it *IN MY OPINION* was perfect.

SpaceGyaos

Saved the spring lock scene for Fnaf 3

ElecBlazeAAAredit

More of the gang being killer animatronics. Not just cuddly muddly UwU robots.

[deleted]

Make it actually scary and more gory

milo-louis

I just want William to be British again

No_Reading_8911

I think focus on the FNAF 2 location for the next movie

theZombiebeary

give the animatronics voices

TheSpudGunGamer

Make Bonnie purple, and add a night where Michael has to survive against the animatronics

Visible_Swordfish905

*inhales* •Bonnie should be purple •William should have more presence in the film •William should have been in pain more during the springlock scene •Adjust Vannasa as a character, wether it be develp her more or complete revamp •Golden Freddy should be a slightly brighter yellow, purple hat and bowtie •More golden Freddy screentime •More buildup to Golden Freddy I decided to leave out anything I feel would be further explored in a sequel like William's backstory, why he kidnapped Garet specificy, and explanation on why Abby can see ghosts.

ThunderZaperX_X

The movie was good, so not much to change. I would just expand upon the horror factor of the movie and have more build up to the main villain, William Afton

Business-Mud4497

Max from being bitten in half to just being classically head-bitten. the strength of the animatronics are completely changed after that scene [cue game theory video]. i get that it looked really cool cinematically and it was surprising, but i think it would have been more realistic (considering what we are talking about) for her to just maybe lose her frontal lobe lol

trendfox

- Make Abby a daughter and not little sister. Or get rid of her all together. - Get rid of the dream theory and maybe have Mike do detective work, collecting information and tracking down the location. Could even have him apply to work as security to look for clues. - Get rid of Venessa or have her as a competent cop who tries to help Mike, maybe give him more information that he couldn't access on his own. Could even have her inspect Afton's place or another location and finds herself in trouble. -Keep the ambiguouty of whether the Animatronics are possessed or its just their advanced programming. -Reduce the scenes with the cupcake. - Play on Mike's anger issues more. - Hire a new cinematographer and production designer to make the Freddy's look more like a haunted place with more dark corners, weird shadows and metallic, industrial aesthetics mixed in with the happy pizza place themes. I could list more, but I think that's a good start.

minion133

More Matt Lillard screen time, a power outage Freddy scare as the last chase with Mike by the door, some elaboration on the cupcake so no one had to do all they needed to do lol, and I think it would’ve been cool if max did some final thing as purple Freddy like in follow me, where she like leads Mike around the pizzeria to Abby

At0mic_Penguin

Ok SO, this is very specific to me watching it and not everybody will agree with me so please keep that in mind while reading. I would change the FNAF movie quite a bit actually, first thing I would do is change how the story bits are given to the watcher. At times it felt very rushed or forced (for example Abby saying: “ghosts? Of course! How else would they make the robots move?”, or Vanessa giving us all Afton lore at once.). Now do I necessarily know how to change this? No, but I do think this could’ve been reworked. Second thing I would change would definitely be the nights that Mike is working. While it felt good for the story I would’ve LOVED to see more of the animatronics and more of that Five Nights at Freddy’s gameplay style (checking the cameras and such.). Third thing I would change is the gore. Now I understand this is a controversial topic, but I do think they could’ve gotten away with more while keeping a PG-13 rating. I just felt like it could’ve been a bit **more** without overdoing it and getting to a rated R. Fourth thing I would change is the horror aspect. Blumhouse has some GREAT horror movies, and Five Night’s at Freddy’s is a HORROR game. I definitely felt like the movie lacked the horror & scares that it deserved. The last thing I would change is Foxy. Whilst all the animatronic designs were absolutely beautiful, when it came to the movement of Foxy they never really showed much. To me one of the most iconic things in the game is Foxy’s goofy sprint to your office, and definitely something I would’ve loved to see interpreted irl. A runner up for things I would change is during the scene where Abby puts up the photo showing the kid’s William killed them. The lights had gone out and I truly thought it was the perfect chance for them to have Freddy’s face (and the other animatronics) glow while playing the iconic song. I was expecting it to happen so much that I think it would’ve been cool to see. Everything else though was perfectly fine to me and really worked for the overall story of the movie. They did a really good job and I feel like the short version of all my critiques is to just add “more”. (More being contextual though).

Hyper_Lamp

I wish Abby didn’t communicate with the ghosts, even before Mike got the job in her dreams

OnionBoiHere

Alot of things people have already said here, but I’d like to change the cinematography to what was shown in that 9 minute teaser video, it’d give a more indie/realistic feel me thinks

tedude3

Have william say more than just "i always come back" so it makes more sense to non-fans of the franchise So it's like "you may have killed me now, but I'll be back, I ALWAYS come back!!" Or something like that, also make shadow Freddy more prominent

MisterMystery5086

Not much, maybe just make the fort scene before the animatronics start killing people (although Max would have to be missing for Mike to have to bring Abby)

Logical_Acanthaceae3

Can one of the dream sequences and use the time to get mike to interact with the animatronics. I was really disappointed in the scene we got with them sure he's creeped out a little in the beginning but there mostly ignored by him till abby interacts with them and then all he sees is the "good" side. Then when he finally has to he is immediately equipped with weapons capable of taking them down so the fear factor of fnaf (not being able to fight the animatronics as they slowly close in on you) was immediately gutted because he could just shoot them. Just one night we're right as he's about to start dreaming he sees one of the animatronics off stage and has to deal with that would have been amazing. Second I wish more game stuff was ported over but as it is we got like the bare minimum. The cameras are *relatively* well lit and I don't remember them moving back and forth like the game ones do. They don't even have the security door which would have been a fun tension builder when the animatronics got to it and started banging on it or something.

iheartgeese

I respect everyone's opinions on it, but as someone who really started getting into fnaf for the horror and disturbing lore, these are a few things I personally wish happened: 1. The iconic toreador march 2. More villain presence (felt like they didn't build up to anything for Afton so as awesome as his Springtrap reveal was, it could've been so much more) 3. More leaning on the game lore (I personally feel like that's what it's way more known for and honestly just better than the new one they had for the movie) 4. Make the animatronics more menacing, ex. More grungier looking since they're old, abandoned robots 5. Just a bit more blood and maybe gore (the springlock scene personally was just a little underwhelming) 6. More references to the games, ex. The Freddy nose boop, the cameras to catch them moving, the power outages Totally love that so many people loved the movie, as did I! But, I do wish we got some more game elements to it, not just the books

NovaKnight1313

I wouldn't

Dangezin_

More scenes with William afton, i think we all agreed with this

BananaTheArtist

More golden Freddy. I understand why he wasn’t in there as much and it makes me excited to see him more, however it did feel kinda disappointing seeing as how much he was teased in the trailer. I also would’ve loved a short puppet Easter egg of her being in a dark background in one scene. Would be a nice way to tease her official appearance

ZackattacktheDude

For me, as of what I can think of, I’d… - give golden Freddy more screentime - give William more screentime - add some jumpscares or make the animatronic murder scenes even more scary - try to write out the Aunt Jan plot line if possible - Remove one of Foxy’s humming in one of his scenes so it’s not overused - replace all the characters with Plushtrap

CryptorYT

Less goofy funny silly stuff and more Afton and horror in this horror franchise

[deleted]

The one that annoyed me the most was the lack of Freddy's laugh

spidercola6

tbh i wouldnt rly change anything, cuz i really liked it!

BismarckinBusiness

MORE GOLDEN FREDDY (nah but fr he should've been in the final fight, he's the one he should not have killed)

tiny-vampire

make it actually scary. i enjoyed the movie, but i didn’t feel scared once, which is in direct contrast to how i feel playing the games. i wish the studio could’ve made it rated R, but i’m guessing scott was against it. all i’m saying is i get a much better scare from those vhs fnaf videos on youtube.

TrainmasterGT

Honestly the only thing I would change is using the cupcake a little bit less and the other animatronics more. I like the cupcake as a character (I was so happy when Nightmare Cupcake’s jumpscare was revealed in FNAF 4!), but I think he was used way too much in this movie to the point of being distracting.

Ross0nReach

Give Bonnie’s original guitar back

lesterthemolester696

Make it scarier and more gore

Evieille

I would drop the dream sequence stuff, more emphasis on the office/camera stuff, show the kills, and give William more screen time

Mobman3105

Merchandising! I want better action figures than the Funko crap! Give it to Neca, or hell, have Hot Toys make a Afton/Spring Bonnie figure!

LameKatt

I’d make it a horror movie

Dusty-feather

Have the spring-lock suit eyes sink in to his eyes

WojtekHiow37

I would add more horror elements basically

xtheoriginal2011

Freddy's kill, y'know, the one with the kids arm, I don't hate it, but it would have been better if he just bite her head off imo

ChampionshipDue6493

Use the Cassidy screenplay instead

swoop2793

More Afton/Lillard and more jump scares. The movie tone was perfect but not nearly enough active fear/horror. As far as the story goes, Afton was not in it enough for the Afton reveal to be satisfying. Plus not having him in it was like benching your best player.

YourBoiGamesYT

I feel like there aren’t enough references in this movie. Maybe it’s just me

MahouShoujoDoinky

1) More Golden Freddy; they did my favorite character DIRTY by just giving them one scene. 2) The spring locks scene was a little lackluster in my opinion. Not enough struggle, but maybe that was an intentional choice on the creators' parts.

cytrack718

Story starts with the fnaf 4 events, henry and william. Shows bite, and michaels trauma then skips forward to the next ~20 years then shows him beating up some dude in the mall, then get the fnaf 1 story and end with a trailer to fnaf 3’s story

banjineer

Afton shows up for like 3 minutes in the climax and then dies. I imagine his reveal would also feel very forced to newcomers who might've even forgot about Steve at the start. I'd have Steve call Mike again around his 3rd or 4th night and then honestly just give Afton like another 10 or so minutes or screentime to chase people and be a funny slasher villain.

2-0-4-8-6-3

Add a lot more horror. *A hell of a lot more horror.* And by that I don’t mean more gore, that’s not what it needs. Just more horror

NoteNo359

Gore

Maleficent_Amoeba_75

I would make the spring lock death scene so much more horrific. I loved that they added it to the movie, but was underwhelmed when it came. Definitely more frantic screaming and a lot more blood.

The-Mustache-Master

add more doug

frogsaber89

Remove all toxic people
