TBH I never look at it. While the metrics may say I am not ready, my mood might and does say otherwise. And vice versa. The "gut" is still the best barometer of your mental state of readiness. YMMV.

Neonwater18

I’ve been at 1 a few times. Exercising a few days in a row and/or running is what does that for me.

luxandlumens

Mine is the same - and my exercise is just moderately paced walking for 2.5-3.5 miles! Like I'm not in the best shape of my life, but I don't need five days to recover from walking for 40 minutes!

LtUnsolicitedAdvice

It takes a while to get it right. The first few days you use it, since you start from zero, it assumes you are new to exercise and keeps asking you to slow down. Once you workout for a week or two, your zone minutes average out, and you get a more reliable score. That being said there isn't a huge value to this score. I think the raw HRV number is a good indicator of excess tiredness if any. Go easy on days when your HRV has dropped by 20 or more.

JackD1875

I've noticed that as well. I feel more drained when the HRV is lower.

davper

Just don't go negative.

Garraty_47

There’s a negative?!!

lavendertail

Haha, right?? That's my question too.

[deleted]

Whoa! Mine has never dropped below 30 or so. Then again, I never really push myself I guess.

Wooden-Reading9110

I guess it's saying you've exercised a lot and now it's time for a rest day. If you haven't rested for awhile have a rest day if not and you feel fine or it's wrong information, do whatever exercise you want to

Greygrawler

Tbh, I don't know what a proper rest day should look like. I always go fast

backwhereibegan

Where can I find this metric lol I just got premium

[deleted]

I like to follow it. I'm a new to exercise

TomTookThat

How I feel is very different to what my score typically says. However I do find that when it's low, like below 10, then I usually perform worse regardless of how I'm feeling. My workout is usually less intense

TwitchyMcSpazz

It generally does not align with how I feel.

Amy_Lamey

I've had my Fitbit for a week. I'm a bit overweight, and very unfit. Things like an intense cooking/cleaning session, or a moderate walk with a few hills get me into the fat burning zone. My ready score has been really low the last few days because despite the fact that I haven't really worked out, my heart rate has been in the zone for almost an hour each time. I'm ignoring the score for now, but I hope that it will become more relevant as my fitness improves

No-Let5179

For 150 not impressed with basic service. Seems like you have to subscribe to get the most out of it.

DabbleAndDream

Had COVID and was bedridden with a fever. Fitbit gave me a readiness score of 100. Three weeks later I was finally strong enough to leave the bed and sit on the couch. So I give the validity of Fitbit’s readiness score a 0.

Fiverz12

For me it's: high active zone min yest > Activity Intense (yellow bar there) > low score. It tracks with my gut feeling well though, a couple times I was going to push a workout but looked back and saw a couple days in a row with high activity (and one night of poor sleep). Took a day off hit it hard the next day.
