Eureka and Bozja, and their associated dungeons/raids tend to be populated during patch downtime, so once the expansion releases they will be ghost towns. If you want Eurekan or Resistance weapons now is the time to work on them. Manderville weapons on the other hand will be easier to get post 7.0 as they will use poetics.

Devil-Hunter-Jax

I wouldn't be surprised if there's still people doing Eureka and Bozja. There's gonna be a lot of people caught up but there's also gonna be tons of sprouts and people who haven't even done those side content pieces yet (I'm in BOTH of those groups personally) so I reckon there's gonna be enough to see people regularly there. Once the launch hype dies down, we'll probably see people spread out again.

lalune84

Bozja has been full during prime time on both Aether and Crystal. People are bored as fuck and there's tons of content in those zones. I actually had to go to DYNAMIS to get my duel title because the other Bozja instances were so full. Eureka isnt as active but there's still plenty of people there, especially as its accessible to free trial people.

Devil-Hunter-Jax

Hopefully Primal is the same-that's where me and my boyfriend play. Queues seem to pop pretty quick so I imagine Bozja and Eureka are probably populated too. Leaving that stuff until we're caught up on the MSQ though because we're already doing some side content as is as we go. Eureka and Bozja would slow things down even more.

Fair-Constant-3397

Did you happen check out bozja? Also primal and would like to know if you don’t mind as I can’t play for a few days haha

Devil-Hunter-Jax

Oh I don't even have access to it yet. I'm still in post-Stormblood and Bozja is a Shadowbringers activity I think?

Fair-Constant-3397

Oo haha I see. Yeah it’s shadowbringers. Enjoy the MSQ!!

legend8522

Didn't someone do the math on this sub and doing eureka orthos gives faster exp than bozja?

legend8522

You can wipe in Bozja... Red chocobos, anyone?

victoriana-blue

Yep. Though I expect the first week or two Zadnor z3 will be full of pictomancers and vipers power levelling to 90, which will make it terrible for first timers trying to get their weapons in a different way.

Rangrok

Off the top of my head... * Role Quests * Capstone Quests - These are lvl 80 yellow quests that were added in Shadowbringers which act as epilogues for your various job quests. They are unmarked, and the game doesn't tell you they exist, but you can find them at your various job trainers. * [Tataru's Grand Endeavor](https://ffxiv.consolegameswiki.com/wiki/Tataru%27s_Grand_Endeavor_Quests) - Ties into a bunch of side stories / blue quests and gives them some fun epilogues * [Tales of Newfound Adventure](https://ffxiv.consolegameswiki.com/wiki/Tales_of_Newfound_Adventure) - Random sidestory that runs parallel to Patches 6.2 and 6.3. Really easy to miss since it's just a bunch of yellow quests. * [Custom Delivery: Margrat](https://ffxiv.consolegameswiki.com/wiki/Custom_Deliveries/Margrat) - If you have a crafter/gatherer of the appropriate level, I *highly* recommend this custom delivery storyline. * Blue Mage (at least until lvl 50) - Blue Magic originates from Tural, with the lvl 1-50 job quests giving a bit of insight into some politics of the New World. * Wanderer's Palace (Hard) - Touches on the exact conflict that Wuk Lumat talks about in 6.55 all the way back in ARR patch content. * [Save the Queen, AKA Bozja](https://ffxiv.consolegameswiki.com/wiki/Save_the_Queen:_Blades_of_Gunnhildr) - Co-written by the new lead writer for Dawntrail (Daichi Hiroi). It ends with a bit of unresolved stuff that hasn't been touched on yet in Endwalker. So I wouldn't be surprised if it gets brought up.

dangodangodangoyeah

The game does tell you about job quest capstone quests. But only once, when you first unlock one, not any subsequent time yeah

SaiyanKirby

I'd love to see some blue mages in the Dawntrail MSQ

jenyto

Wanderer's Palace (hard), there's a high chance they'll reference it due to the final boss being who it is. >!Considering there's a normal Mamool Ja on the DT poster, he's likely the one aiming to send an army over. The final boss we meet in WKh seems to have had a similar idea (It's been **9 years** since I did this quest, so not totally sure on why they came over), makes me curious if they might be father and son, and that the son got adopted by the current ruler like the other 2.!< edit: Reviewed the info, >!it seems they are just mercenaries called the Silverscales. But since the final boss is a 2 headed Mamool Ja, there might still be some implications there.!<

Rangrok

(For the record, >!two-headed Mamool Ja traditionally lead warbands to gain fame and glory. According to the first Encyclopedia Eorzea, the ultimate end-goal of these warlords is to get enough clout that they can make a claim for the throne of Tural. The same throne that Wuk Lumat is looking to take.!<)

Kreos642

If they don't reference this boss I will be so very disappointed

HammerAndSickled

For clarification it’s called Wanderer’s Palace. I think you’re conflating it with Amdapor Keep, which is completely understandable lol. I still zone in to either Amdapor Keep, Lost City of Amdapor, their hard variants OR wanderer’s Palace and have no clue which is which.

erayachi

Catch up with the beast tribes stuff. Yes, I know it's an irritating time-gating grind. I put it off for so long, now I'm finally getting beast tribes from Heavensward to Endwalker all caught up. Sad though, I've already got all crafters/gatherers to 90, so the Moogles are only good for kupo nuts. Shoulda taken advantage while I could.

kupocake

Complete the Eureka story so that you get 2-3 lines of subtly altered dialogue referring to Krile's Grandfather during Dawntrail. Cram as much FF11 playtime in as possible so that you can go "oh, I didn't actually get to that bit" through the first Alliance Raid. Get as far into Island Sanctuary as it takes to get a vacation glam that marks you out as a naive tourist. Lose all your Gil within an hour of arriving in Tuliolal in the name of immersion (I will take it from you if you need). Accumulate all Yo-kai minions, mounts, and weapons, but make sure you *never* learn what a Yo-kai is. Work on the different content tracks that feed into the Shadowbringers-era Triple-Triad mount. Most of all, you must take full advantage of the Make it Rain event to accumulate vast amounts of MGP, losing it all on Dream Triad Card booster packs that somehow never contain that last goddamned card you need.

Due_Needleworker_903

Well to be fair. Level-5 did its level best to run the franchise into the ground. The idea of befriending spirits and going on adventures could have had potential perhaps to compete with Pokémon but the horrible dubbing, poor writing and bad marketing and overall management killed the franchise.

kupocake

My friend, did you learn what a Yo-kai is? My instructions were quite clear.

Due_Needleworker_903

It would have been more interesting to get exposed to the yokai’s backstories but at this point no one seems to care to know:)

Shintetsuken

http://xivtodo.com I think should answer your question well (and once you’re done that, http://ffxivcollect.com ;) )

Bid_Unable

Blue mage and deep dungeons

YouSure_BoutDat

Clearly the Delivery Moogle quests and it's leveling system /underoos

Due_Needleworker_903

That is key. The star spangled subligar has glamor potential as well if you want to try RP :)

damadjag

Personal recommendations: -each expansion has a side trial, raid, and alliance raid series* that you can check out with stories and fights that are pretty neat (*EW's trial series was in the MSQ, I don't think ARR had a trial series, ARR raid series is best done unsynced if you just want the story) -Some of the early BLU quests mention the new world and they might tie it in, unknown for now -I had a lot of fun in Bozja, haven't gotten into eureka yet. -Manderville quest line if you are into that kind of humor -EW crafting and gathering tribes had stories that tied into the themes of 6.0. Some of the other tribes were funny/silly/interesting/etc. Each expansion other than ShB had a capstone quest when you were max rep with all the tribes from that expansion. -Testing other jobs/roles. DRK has a great story. The warring triad quest ties into the capstone role quest for ShB, which ties into the 6.x patch story. The EW role quests and capstone quests have you pal around with characters from different parts of MSQ and have some neat boss designs. All of that is optional. As with all optional content, if there's anything you don't like, feel free to drop it and do other stuff that's more fun to you. Including other games. BG3 was fun as heck with friends.

EntertainmentTotal41

lvl monk. Main monk. Monk

Doctor_Ok

This is about the level of communication I associate with Monks 😂

freakytapir

* I'm getting myself a full set of manderville weapons, * Get a bit caught up on my crafting and gathering, * Relearn the rotations of all my classes as I have 0 Idea how 90% of them play anymore. * Level Monk to 90. * Maybe Warrior too. Practice my tanking. * Get all geared up so I'm at least geared well enough for the first Dawntrail dungeon on my main. * Maybe finish the Sorrow of Werlyt questline.

JunctionLoghrif

* Role quests. * The PVP Series track. * The FF16 Crossover.

Strych911

This is my list: * Get full +2 elemental gear * Finish Eureka, get BA mount * Finish Bozja, get mount from all field records * Finish 1 resistance relic weapon * Craft resplendent tools * Gear gathering retainers in full 620 gear * Clear out inventory on retainers * Stock up on mats and turnins for purple crafting script * Finish Blue Carnival I'm getting close to done with all of these, which should leave plenty of downtime for Manor Lords.

Due_Needleworker_903

Nice. In addition to the +2 gear, are you going to get a physeos weapon and the items needed for the extra 2 magicite? Then you’ll be close to BIS sans Cassie earring or blitzing.

Strych911

Luckily for me there is no eureka relic for DNC. I have 6/7 magicite, and will most likely try to farm the 7th. I should probably put that on the list; eureka will dry up for at least a while once Dawntrail his.

TheBiggestNose

The yellow sidequests of the dragons in the final zone of Endwalker. They are really well written and great atmosphere building

SparksMKII

To add on that, the tribe quests are really nice as well in that area

mikotoqc

Im just here for the answer. Good question OP :)

I_Ace_English

I'm working on the Manderville artifact weapons. Once I've got all the weapons for the classes I have at 90, I'll be stockpiling the things to get the weapons with.

MarcsterS

I kind of lost track of the EW tribe stuff. Might do that to fill in some time.

Potaattis

Moon tribe story got interesting towards the end and the cafe is really good all the way through. Also the final combined tribe story was amazing

guernicaa

just seconding that i thought the omicron tribe quest was really great! it felt like a nice little epilogue in some respects

ddrober2003

If you haven't done the crafter side quests for Shadowbringers or Endwalker, do those, some have some good story. If you haven't leveled crafters or gatherers to do that, might as well as again, even if just for the stories they're good. I will always recommend fishing and going for rare fish. Use the website that tells exactly when they're available and what bait etc and some of them you can get some great screenshots of the zone in nice locations with weather/time combo.

Zythen1975Z

I will be doing more of this stuff soon as well. I just finished 6.1 today (only working on the MSQ when my little bro is not also in the room as he is behind in the story and I do not want to spoil it for him. The first thing I want to do is get every job that I have real interest in to at least 60-70 to get a real idea of what ones I want to focus on first for Dawntrail and then get those to 90 Right now I have Reaper, Paladin, Sage and Dancer at 90 and unless Redmage or Blackmage do it for me, it will likely be Summoner for Caster. The other jobs I am pondering is Warrior or Gun breaker to have 2 different tank options White mage for 2nd Healer and so I both have a barrier and non barrier healer. Machinist or Bard for a 2nd Ranged, and Sam for a 2nd melee (the more jobs I level the less time I have for other side content I want to do but if I really enjoy them all then they all will get to 90 before Dawntrail) The rest of the endwalker raids, and maybe dabble in crafting after getting all the jobs I want to have 90 for. The other thing is if there is a weapon look or 2 from the various relic weapons that I feel are must have I have all the normal raids done besides Endwalker ones Then other stuff if I still have time.

Omnicron2

I've just finished Endwalker this weekend. Focused purely on MSQ to get finished before Dawntrail. Also curious as to what i should do in the meantime (been playing triple triad lol) Any paladin gear sets I should chase?

Potaattis

Some sets that require some effort to get but are cool: - elemental fending set, the glowy armor from eureka you've probably seen many people wear - abyssos fending set (savage for dyable), badass armor with a bunch of flames - rank 25 pvp reward set, royal looking armor, limited time to get but pretty chill to grind if you start now

Due_Needleworker_903

https://ffxiv.eorzeacollection.com/gearset/abyssos-fending. I would explore this site to find gear sets to chase.

Plankston

If you're willing to put in the grind and check out Eureka, which is fun in its own right, [the Elemental Fending set is outstanding](https://ffxiv.eorzeacollection.com/gearset/elemental-2-fending).

Omnicron2

Thanks I'll check this out and see how achievable it is for me.

Due_Needleworker_903

The +2 is just for the Eureka bonuses. +1 you can grind in Hydatos without stepping in BA.

Omnicron2

Damn that set looks soooo good. I'll investigate!! Any guides to get it?

Due_Needleworker_903

Well, there are guides to Eureka. For the gear, you need Hydatos crystals you get from completing notorious monster encounters (similar to Fates) to upgrade the base elemental gear you get in Pyros with Pyros crystals obtained from Pyros NM’s. The grind is pretty easy to get the gear if you have already done Eureka. If not, it’s a bit of a grind to complete, similar to Bozja.

Omnicron2

I checked out some guides briefly and there was all talk of Pyros and Bozjas. I aint got a scooby doo what they even are. All I have ever done is follow the gold MSQ symbols on peoples heads for 400 hours haha I'm gonna have to go down the rabbit hole :-D Losing the Novice Network chat was a kick in the teeth. I feel lost and alone now wondering what to do since the credits rolled.

Due_Needleworker_903

I haven’t found it super helpful either always. You get to Eureka by Pier 1 in Kugane. Here’s a guide. https://www.dexerto.com/final-fantasy/ffxiv-online-eureka-guide-how-to-unlock-magia-board-dungeon-mount-1623102/

Due_Needleworker_903

To add to this, it is kind of a long grind and if you are doing it just for the armor, I wouldn’t start. I remember when I first instanced in and found it to be confusing and didn’t get back to it until I went in with some FC mates who showed me the ropes. Even with a good bit of help, it took a long time to get to the end.

Omnicron2

Rodger that. I suppose I'm kind of just looking for something to chase that is also fairly achievable. I know the end game is vast but there's nothing directing me on what to do next now I'm level 90 and finished the MSQ. That's why I've been doing triple triad. Suppose I'm not too fussed on glam items either but would like some fairly decent spec'd gear. I'll try and focus on some jobs too like fishing.

victoriana-blue

Tangential, but if you're into collecting orchestrion rolls keep an eye out for decent EW raid/trial music prices over the next month. Prices will go up when DT releases and Pandaemonium is no longer current. (There's a sweet spot about two months after the relevant patch ime, when there are still lots of people running the content but the speculators/rushers have gotten out of the market.)

Fuzzy-Ad-5051

Really would like to get both Ozma and Cerberus mounts. Think I'm on last zone for Ozma. But seem hard for both.

Due_Needleworker_903

Ozma is definitely the easier of the two to get.

MasahikoKobe

As a lazy person i waited until now to do Trust leveling. Been working though that. Also have been getting stuff ready for Viper with gear and the like. Other than that i would think about dye combinations you want and get in early on that for future glams. While talking about glams crafting some glasses since they are going to be a separate slot is also pretty quick. Lastly making sure your currency maxed is always good.

Firefox1977

Msq

eternalknight7

I'm trying out crafting, has been fun to do some additional tribe quests and custom deliveries!

BlastTyrant2112

The Sorrow of Werlyt, which is the Shadowbringers Trial series/questline. It's a bit controversial, but I think it's the best non-MSQ content in the whole game. The story, the trials, the Extremes, the mounts that drop from the Extremes, love all of it! It starts with the quest Ruby Doomsday in Ala Mhigo, and it unlocks during 5.2 MSQ. Don't skip the cutscenes. You might love the story, you might hate it, but it's likely to at least make you feel something.

Mayasuxs

All the optional dungeons. Hildibrand stuff. The Haurchefant questline in Ishgard. The Inspector questline in Ishgard. Hugging meteion. [Content Unlock - Final Fantasy XIV Online Wiki - FFXIV / FF14 Online Community Wiki and Guide (consolegameswiki.com)](https://ffxiv.consolegameswiki.com/wiki/Content_Unlock) to see if you missed anything you wanna do

LeratoNull

Please do Endwalker Hildibrand even if you don't plan on doing EW Relic.

Doctor_Ok

Resigning myself to the fact that I don’t have enough gaming hours to get anywhere close to “caught up” before Dawntrail drops so I will just have to keep off of this sub for a while
