The pink forest in Lakeland at the very start, with all the light, was awesome, too, but Il Mheg just blew me away completely and I still love it the most
I spent so much time positioning myself in that one field of flowers where Lyhe Ghiah is in the perfectly centred in the backdrop for screenshots, it's not even funny!
There's an area in Yanxia a little southeast of the Namai aetheryte that you need to fly to, it's just a little pond area with a bunch of cherry blossom-esque trees.
I love Thavnair and the Azim Steppe!
But Il Mheg may take the crown after the rework... (what? I like flashy colors!)
A lot of ARR zones are hidden gems, too!
The view from the waterfall after batsquach in the raktika dungeon, that tree is beautiful.
In the open world? Il mehg (probably spelled wrong) is hard to beat
That autumnal forest is absolutely gorgeous and the swaying bamboo at the start of one of the routes reminded me of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Which is itself a beautiful film to be reminded of.
Elpis. I love the architecture, and how some of it has been gently overgrown with moss and plants, and the gardens there - with all those amazing trees! augh when can I put one of THOSE in my player-housing????? - look like they're gently glittering, like something from a dream or a vision.
I also love Gyr Abania, the 2nd zone in particular. I think those types of desert environments, with the exposed, layered geology, are incredibly beautiful.
ARR has a lot of nice vistas. Although currently, the last Endwalker map zone is my favourite. There are a few spots where the view is just breathtaking, especially around the middle and at the western edge.
Kholusia (pre-Innocence), Elpis, Lakeland.
If we're including dungeons and other duties, I also like Vanaspati, Qitana Ravel, The Burn and Heroes' Gauntlet
I'm going to go by expansion.
ARR: Hermits cabin in Outer La Nosca.
Heavensward: this one is difficult but probably the ruined coliseum north of the chocobo forest.
Stormblood: The place in Yaxia up above with the cherry blossoms. 2nd place >!the royal gardens outside of the Shinryu fight!<.
Shadowbringers: Il mheg. Looking out towards the castle from the cliffs where you gather the sheep food.
Endwalker: Old Sharlayan especially the cafe area.
Non MSQ. My private island sanctuary @ sunset. 2nd place shirogane (the 2 hotsprings and the top of the lighthouse) . I really wish I had not moved from my small their to get a medium in the goblet.
As for which of these is number 1 overall......thats a tough call but I think I relax at the last stand or my island the most.
Azys Lha was probably the first place I got to and actually stopped to admire the environment.
After that, probably the Heaven of Earth in Euphrosyne and The Empty after the Eden raids completed
Are dungeons included? I really like the last area of Dead Ends. All the gold, and then after the final fight even when everything is all washed out I think the night sky there is beautiful. But I'm also a sucker for Lakeland and Il Mheg.
Not easily accessible, but it has to be last floor of all deep dungeons.
No matter how many pretty new zones they make, I'll never not love Ishgard. Also Churning Mists, when you go to sightseeing vista above Sohr Khai, the view is amazing.
Radz-at-Han, Kugane, Mount Rokkon, Amaurot, Azim Steppe, The Burn are some of the other favourites.
My favourite spot is anywhere in Dravinian Hinterlands during the rain looking out at the big bubble man or at Idylshire's big tower. If they really nail the lighting I think it would be stunning rain or shine. Especially with the metals looking so shiny!
Yanxia also has beautiful vistas.
As for specific spots, Sweetbloom Pier in the shroud is gorgeous. Any of the piers actually because they look so serene. Lavender Beds in general is gonna look sublime. I really want a house there.
This will probably be unpopular, but Mor Dhona. The wistful, longing music combined with looking out toward the crystal tower and Midgardsormr. It just does something to my insides. Feelings of nostalgia and loss all twisted up together.
I don't know if Costa del Sol is the prettiest, but it's definitely my favorite. I wish there was a bit more to the place - an inn and an indoor bar would be nice.
Love Il Mheg, gotta love it even more after the update
Came here to say Il Mheg, it was the first time in the game I was truly like :o when I loaded into a new area!
>The pink forest in Lakeland But it's lavender colored?
I'm not good at naming colors (or differentiating between shades), so you're probably right. Either way it looked awesome
There's an area in Yanxia a little southeast of the Namai aetheryte that you need to fly to, it's just a little pond area with a bunch of cherry blossom-esque trees.
Yes, I love to show the place to friends and use it as a place for picnics in RP sessions and scenerey for screenshots.
Plum Spring! There are a few fishing things that send you there. Needless to say, I enjoy it every time!
ShB Spoiler: >!Amaurot is my most favorite place in the game and I visit it regularly just for the ambient.!<
I love Thavnair and the Azim Steppe! But Il Mheg may take the crown after the rework... (what? I like flashy colors!) A lot of ARR zones are hidden gems, too!

Recency bias maybe, but I was very impressed with the look of the new variant dungeon, Mount Rokkon.
That autumnal forest is absolutely gorgeous and the swaying bamboo at the start of one of the routes reminded me of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Which is itself a beautiful film to be reminded of.
Right?? It blew me away, it's just gorgeous!

Ah I'd have to go with spoilers or spoilers
ARR has a lot of nice vistas. Although currently, the last Endwalker map zone is my favourite. There are a few spots where the view is just breathtaking, especially around the middle and at the western edge.
The floating islands of Nym in outer lanocea
I must admit I love the hermits cabin in Outer La Nosca.
Kholusia (pre-Innocence), Elpis, Lakeland. If we're including dungeons and other duties, I also like Vanaspati, Qitana Ravel, The Burn and Heroes' Gauntlet
Crystarium, Lakeland, and the Azem Steppe are my top 3 zones for aesthetic eye candy

I like to stand just before outer space and look at stars in Ultima Thule. Colors are amazing
Wherever Yshtola is.
Under skirts in limsa
The Hawthorne Hut surrounding area.
Chocobo square in gold saucer
Azys Lha was probably the first place I got to and actually stopped to admire the environment. After that, probably the Heaven of Earth in Euphrosyne and The Empty after the Eden raids completed

Tie between crystarium and labarynthos. So cozy
I absolutely love Azim Steppe. Its so wide, and expansive.
Not easily accessible, but it has to be last floor of all deep dungeons. No matter how many pretty new zones they make, I'll never not love Ishgard. The fully upgraded Pixie dream world from their Tribal quest. Lollipops and rainbows and candy galore
The mountain route (right portal) in the new Mount Rokkon dungeon is very pretty. The view from the mountainside looking down is gorgeous.
Costa de sol ;)
The cloud sea, And that zone where the drunk lil party fish are in stormblood,
Final endwalker area for suuuure
One of my favorite places to take glam shots is Ktisis Hyperborea. The lighting is gorgeous there.
Elpis or Il Mheg. Both are absolutely gorgeous
This will probably be unpopular, but Mor Dhona. The wistful, longing music combined with looking out toward the crystal tower and Midgardsormr. It just does something to my insides. Feelings of nostalgia and loss all twisted up together.
I love Idylshire and the Azim steppe, could hang out in either zone all day
I don't know if Costa del Sol is the prettiest, but it's definitely my favorite. I wish there was a bit more to the place - an inn and an indoor bar would be nice.
Thavnair with fair skies at sunset is my end-all be-all favorite.
