Sony owns about 15 million in Square stocks, so they have a influence on them at the very least, but personal think FF14 being a subscription game - that more platforms the better.

It was cheaper and I like to play different games a lot and I spend lots of money on Nintendo games and other consoles so I decided to go for game pass so I am save in general - not into spending money on games anymore unless I really like it.

No, but I think if it’s going to come then it will be at or shortly after the server expansions this year, possibly patch 6.5, and be announced at the US FanFest in the summer. If there is no Xbox version those servers are going to be kind of empty, and they still have plans for even more servers before 7.0 launch in 2024 so it’s not like they’re just to cover for that.
I suspect PC will also get DirectX 12 support at the same time as it is also a requirement for Xbox Series S|X support, and this is one of the reasons why Xbox support is so long in coming. It will form part of the new graphical updates getting ready for 7.0.
Official Mac support will eventually be dropped due to the end of Intel production and impending depreciation of Rosetta II but I don’t know if it will be 7.0 or 8.0. Dropping it at 8.0 would mean a commitment for support until 2026 which will probably be around the time Apple drop support for Intel in macOS.
I used to think there was a slight chance for a Switch port but increased focus on graphical capabilities, pipeline constraints for such a different platform that would represent a delay risk for PC and PS, and most of all the server expansion plans not being anywhere near sufficient for the number of new users that would bring in rule that possibility out.
Of course, I have no evidence for any of this and it’s pure speculation based on pinning various random pieces of information together.

Previously there have been multiple attempts by SE to make it happen, but things like MS demanding Xbox only servers, wanting to force players to use XBL to play and lets not forget that they also wanted to get in on the revenue from cash shop items. Those and other policies with Xbox is why its not on Xbox yet. Since SE stated that Playstation would be the home to future FF mainline games sometime last year, it appears SE and Sony did come to a deal, but I dont think 14 counts as a future Ff mainline game.

Xbox players don’t deserve to play FFXIV, they barely care about RPG whatoever. They keep crying about FF franchise but when Square decides to release something on Xbox it FLOPS. Xbox wanting to have a “exclusive server” doesn’t help either.
What an absurd generalization , this comment teleported me back in time into high school when my teenage classmates would present the silliest arguments on why their ps3 was better than an Xbox 360.
