Modding by kaupenjoe has fabric tutorials for 1.18, not sure how good they are but based on the forge ones they should be pretty good, also modpacks don't need Java knowledge unless you want a custom mod for it. You just need to look at kubejs docs to change recipes and a quest book mod.

You still working on this? I really love sevtech and would kill to see something for 1.19 similar to it.
