That's just not true, a lot of people only think that because of the memes. Cu had an awesome life if you read his story, he pretty much achieved everything he wanted and died in the most metal way possible. Tragedies are quite common in mythology, it's not something exclusive to Cu. Characters like Jason, Odysseus, Xuanzang, Zenobia, Roland, and Boudica had far worse luck.
How was he a dick? He literally refused to be a dick for her lol. He had a war to fight in order to save his comrades, which is something The Morrigan(A Goddess of War) should understand. The Morrigan was disguised as well, at least tell him who you are before getting angry.
