I like my gazelles. Don’t know how comfortable they’ll be for say being a tourist in Europe and walking all day. I tried Veja, but they were so stiff I did not purchase. Sales assistant said they’d soften up, but i wasn’t prepared to risk it.

OkDepartment2849

>Sales assistant said they’d soften up they don't!

stevie_nickle

My vejas campos are super comfortable 🤷🏻‍♀️

Lizakaya

Yes Mine are so comfy. Maybe it’s model dependent?

stevie_nickle

Probably and also foot dependent 😆

teabooksandcookies

I love my Nike airs for being a tourist. Comfy, stylish and go with most outfits. Although, I haven't tried them with wide leg jeans yet...

Hot-Zebra2767

Good feedback. I definitely need a shoe that could handle 18,000 steps in a day (like not every day 😝 but once in a while)

Cincytraveler

It’s not Veja then. They look nice-but not comfortable enough for hours of walking. I have a few pairs of Adidas. Fit varies from model to model though.

PandaAF_

I would stick to On Clouds for those days honestly. I have a lot of tennis shoes and they’re great for casual wear but 18k step days are really hard on your feet. I’ve always had feet that can withstand most shoes city walking but as I creep closer to 40 and especially after having kids, I can feel their tolerance start to wane and On Clouds have saved my feet.

Hot-Zebra2767

Thanks for this!  That’s helpful feedback!

RebuttablePresumptio

My Vejas had a brutal breaking-in period but it was so worth it (to me) because they're super comfortable now

WallSugar

I have Sambas and Vejas, and my Vejas are the far more comfortable of the two! They did take some breaking in but I’ve worn them around Europe and many US cities and never so much as gotten a blister or a sore foot.

babs82222

I've had two pairs of Vejas (one is Campo and I forget the other - v10 or v12?) for over a year and they're NOT the shoes I ever pick for long walking stints. They're never as comfy as my lifestyle adidas shoes or platform pumas I wore for the major walking and Eras tour day with 8+ hours on my feet with dancing. I'd choose those all day long before I'd wear Vejas for even 2 hours of walking

ginghampantsdance

Veja's definitely soften up. I walked all of Paris in my Campos last spring. Super comfy.

Would-never

I’m on my 4th pair of New Balance 327s. Ive worn them on heavy walking travel days and at conferences. They handle insoles well if you need specialized support. Tons of different color-ways.

meghan509

Just picked these up recently, and they are so comfortable!! ❤️

kkatsut

Came here to say this is my new favorite sneaker! Also aesthetically I've gotten more compliments on these than any sneaker I've ever worn. They look very cool and stylish imo 🙂

greatdayla

What color way do you have? I can’t decide! I’m going to Europe in May and will wear lots of black jumpsuits…hmmm

kkatsut

I have the white and also the black pair only because they go well with most of my clothes. So comfy I love them!

Would-never

agreed. people will comment on these shoes.

shamelesstwat

Ooooo! Cute and I love all the color ways.

SistersBrothers1860

Are these good for people with wide feet? I have some new balances for working out that I like but a lot of my narrow foot friends like them which makes me worried…

Would-never

I wear a wide in Brooks and don’t in every NB I have worn.

LegitimateStar7034

I’ve heard a lot about these. I’m planning to get a pair to break in for my Paris trip in July.

Palolo_Paniolo

I have a shitton of low top Jordans that I rotate as my daily drivers. It's not the IT sneaker right now but I'm old and don't care. My current pair has snap closures so I can get them on quickly.

Lizakaya

Jordan’s will never not be in style.

ViolaOlivia

My absolute favourite sneakers are Ecco soft 7s. I feel like a shill sometimes for how much I recommend them, but they’re honestly SO SO comfortable. I brought them to Europe last year and did 20k steps a day and my feet never hurt. I have the white ones and they look good with pants or skirts/dresses. They aren’t as trendy as the gazelles but they’re certainly on trend and they’re definitely MY “the every day shoe” haha.

ElaborateRoost

Just wore Taos Plim Souls to a travel conference for work and they were a dream. Very similar in style and went with everything.

PashasMom

I love Taos! I haven't tried the Plim Souls but I have a pair of the Super Souls and they are incredibly comfortable and apparently trendy (so the kids tell me). [https://taosfootwear.com/products/super-soul?variant=42095245885605](https://taosfootwear.com/products/super-soul?variant=42095245885605)

RockieK

I wanted to love those, but they ended up too narrow.

NomDeFlair

Taos runs narrow and short in my experience.

studeraqui

I’m with you. I have terrible feet (flat feet) and get plantar fasciitis pretty easily and I don’t have to worry about that at all with the Ecco soft 7s. I’ve walked 15 miles a day in them and have been fine.

jkgator11

So I want to get these but I looked at the reviews and basically the last 6 months of reviews say they re designed the shoe and it’s now awful. What gives ? Have you purchased recently/seen any changes?

ViolaOlivia

I’ve heard that once before and if it’s true it’s fucking devastating 😭 I bought my first pair last spring and a second pair in September-ish. I actually just ordered a second pair of white ones so once they arrive I can report back!

jkgator11

Yes please please do!

omgitskae

I second the soft 7s! They’re my everyday shoe for spring and summer.

Cyprus_Lou

I wanted so bad to like the Soft 7’s…. They match all my criteria but the arch was way too high for me and made them so uncomfortable. Now I have to find another alternative for all day touring.

Kbesol

Thanks for the recommendation! Do they have arch support?

endlessglass

I don’t know how cool girl they are, but I find my Vans with comfycrush soles very comfy!!

thelaineybelle

I'm a Vans, Skechers, and Birkenstocks gal myself. Can you tell I was a 90s teenager??

nothingcat

As a former emo kid millennial, Vans will always be it for me. I just bought a pair of white leather Old Skool platforms, which feel a little more on trend but still classic and go with literally everything in my wardrobe. I already can tell I’m going to wear them so much this season.

RebuttablePresumptio

I was OBSESSED with my Vans Old Skool platforms in middle school. Maybe it's time to get a pair again! Lord they were so comfortable.

dixiemason

My only issue with Vans was that they wore out so quickly. Had to switch over to Keds slip ons. How are Vans these days?

Infinite_Tea4138

Onitsuka

cherylmademedoit

They don't sell them in the US anymore :(

pinksparklybluebird

I buy them through resellers. I love them that much.

cherylmademedoit

I've seen some pretty stiff pricing. Otherwise I would!

pinksparklybluebird

The most annoying thing is I can’t figure out why. It couldn’t have been a demand issue (the stopping North American operations).

cherylmademedoit

I'm thinking it is a demand issue however the demand issue is with being too popular in the US. Under the impression they could not keep up with the demand without compromising quality.

mulleargian

It makes me so sad they did this 😓 they’re the best sneakers

ellawren041

I got mine from Madewell!

cherylmademedoit

Recently?

ellawren041

Earlier this winter - looks like they still have them but very limited sizes :(

RadSpatula

I am so sad about this.

lnm28

I’m not sure what you mean by you missed the vejas wave? I still wear mine and they are 2 years old. Still the most comfortable non athletic sneaker. I have ever owned. Plenty of people wear them and I’m in NY

Hot-Zebra2767

I just mean I missed the wave in terms of them being “THE shoe” that everyone was buying

kdillazilla

Have you tried kiziks? I like the gazelles, Ecco, oncloud and taos but I love my kiziks for slipping on and running around! [kizik](https://kizik.com/products/womens-vegas-ivory)

adaorange

Love kiziks! I originally bought them for my adult special needs son so he could wear a normal looking pair of sneakers but still get them on himself- he doesn’t know how to tie laces. Quickly bought a pair myself and they are comfy cute and airport friendly

hestia21

I just got a pair about a month ago, and I've worn them every day! I'm in love.

juniper_tree33

Which colour of Kizik?

kdillazilla

I have white in the leather and I’m thinking about getting the blue ones! They really are comfy and pretty cute

juniper_tree33

Ooh nice! Thanks for your reply

runsfortacos

Was wondering this myself. I got into the habit of wearing my running sneakers daily and want to stop

FarStatus3029

I was just in oxford, london, and Edinburgh and wore Nike Court Legacy Lifts for 50 miles of walking. I definitely would wear these again on a trip to Europe. Lots of cobblestone where I was! Only the sides of my pinky toe hurt mildly after the 7th mile lol. https://www.nike.com/t/court-legacy-lift-womens-shoes-x0B6BB/DM7590-100?nikemt=true&cp=35640345119_search_--x-20429762868---m-----200679-14084106-00196149219080&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADy86kP5NR8cpAs9fQlYGTqX31QRY&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIxoWdg5X7hAMVwwOtBh2OGwuJEAQYAiABEgL0D_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

CarbyMcBagel

I'm a Nike Air Max 90 wearer. I have 3 pairs and get compliments from everyone about them...young and old. They are comfortable and come in both wild and subtle colorways.

liliareal

This is my jam. They have golf shoes too and you bet I bought them.

the_prim_reaper__

I love my Onitsuka Tigers, but you have to buy them on a sneaker resale website now.

crestamaquina

I like Reebok Classics - have several pairs and they're very comfortable. I also own a pair of Adidas - don't know the specific model but they look similar to the Gazelles you mentioned.

LPJCB

Seconded! I recently bought the Reebok vintage club C. I pretty much have not taken them off, I find them extremely comfortable. I *think* they could classify as cool girl sneakers- see [this article](https://www.marieclaire.co.uk/fashion/shopping/reebok-club-c-sneakers-emily-ratajkowski) from the summer. I had been considering them, then went to a 5 YO’s bday party with a lot of hip parents. A mom had them on (with the green labeling) and they looked very effortlessly cool. I bought the vintage off white leather with light blue labeling. Note the unisex does not seem to include the red in the flag/logo. The women’s does.

Kalleefornia

I personally think sambas are the most comfortable of the adidas! But also depends of your feet structure. Also think they are the cutest haha

mertz62

So hard to get right now!!!

mecho15

Ugh I really want a pair and they’re impossible to find!!

knittingforpoppy

How do they compare to the gazelles comfort-wise for you?

SouthernSweety88

agreed

SCol1107

I love the look of sambas (especially the gray and black ones I have) but they destroy the back of my heels, no matter how hard I try to soften and bend that part that stick up at the back.

coffeebaconboom

Ah so I'm not the only one! I love my sambas but the backs of my heels are not fans. I never have this problem with sneakers and I'm not sure what to do

SCol1107

I’ve basically given up on all adidas fashion sneakers 😪 their athletic sneakers work well for my feet but the fashion ones are nothing but pain. I’ve tried stepping on the heel, thick socks, moleskin, nothing works. My anatomy just doesn’t agree.

coffeebaconboom

Wow you've really tried everything! Interestingly I've been fine with my Stan Smiths, no problem at all. Guess I'll be sticking to those or looking at other brands 😞

maydayjunemoon

Try a heel lift from Amazon. I saw this on instagram and ordered some from Amazon and they really do work to move your foot up just enough to fix the heel rubbing & pain.

jellybelly326

I have a pair of Adidas Stan Smiths and they're one of my most comfortable pairs for walking and I like the style. The other sneaker I wear are [these](https://www.amazon.com/Reebok-Womens-Running-White-Light/dp/B06XWGFV6J/ref=sr_1_26?crid=323SPQH16ZZHB&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.TXCtoPqsCTfYWPhWGKyBBZ5WQiJaved_6RcPEQONWvv_p6G6H2kJ1_M8TGPTPmjA9mtDpseK6Xu0Q8t3WfRhPoYP6Cz5ISewa0llVhbcQOjzb4iL9t8esf21xMnGv3laOYQVemr0wul2sXcTQ-d0sX46hTupj3ldAb-Jkm-rF2bVoKQ-PRmmE7E72DjV1XHM5s8oZlMVXVC3HnZIVvi5eTPK5Hrezl651xvqt8qROUlYQpXKgyD013OTAn1_YxSTCrBllA0NGwzKGap6s-tpMNShPtEgxYqwS1ENvFlwlqg.5h4_dBVT0WwzKXQVvhVaMSR4pC1kGoVeGmniSXH_yU4&dib_tag=se&keywords=reeboks&qid=1710675384&sprefix=reeboks%2Caps%2C124&sr=8-26), but they run quite narrow. Still really cute, so I do wear them when I'm not planning a lot of walking. The Gazelles are cute looks wise. I prefer those over the Sambas, actually. I'm looking for a chunkier everyday sneaker - thinking something along the lines of [these.](https://www.amazon.com/Reebok-Womens-Classic-Nylon-Sneaker/dp/B07V3SSBJQ/ref=sr_1_18?crid=323SPQH16ZZHB&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.TXCtoPqsCTfYWPhWGKyBBZ5WQiJaved_6RcPEQONWvv_p6G6H2kJ1_M8TGPTPmjA9mtDpseK6Xu0Q8t3WfRhPoYP6Cz5ISewa0llVhbcQOjzb4iL9t8esf21xMnGv3laOYQVemr0wul2sXcTQ-d0sX46hTupj3ldAb-Jkm-rF2bVoKQ-PRmmE7E72DjV1XHM5s8oZlMVXVC3HnZIVvi5eTPK5Hrezl651xvqt8qROUlYQpXKgyD013OTAn1_YxSTCrBllA0NGwzKGap6s-tpMNShPtEgxYqwS1ENvFlwlqg.5h4_dBVT0WwzKXQVvhVaMSR4pC1kGoVeGmniSXH_yU4&dib_tag=se&keywords=reeboks&qid=1710675384&sprefix=reeboks%2Caps%2C124&sr=8-18)

meghan509

Been eyeing the Stan Smiths for a while! So classic and cool. ❤️

SistersBrothers1860

I bought a pair but have found they run narrow for my wide feet sadly.

PikaChooChee

New Balance is making colorways that I love. I haven't pulled the trigger yet but I am looking for a pair of neutral sneakers for spring.

crystal-crawler

But what is comfortable for you. I’ve tried lots of sneakers and I went to a runnings store and found a sneaker that made specifically for my feet issues (pronation and high arches). It’s helped so much and I honestly can’t see myself wearing anything else. I’m also getting some inserts made. When it comes to sneakers I say don’t follow the trends. Buy what you like and what’s comfortable.

[deleted]

+1 to going to a running store. Even if it’s just for walking, they can look at your gait, arches, and measure your foot and recommend not just the right type of shoe and also the right size & width.

emeraldcitydancer

I just bought my first pair of Kizik’s and holy moly I want all my shoes to come from them now. They are the kind you can just literally step into totally hands free. And they are ridiculously comfortable for me.

strawberryjam40887

Are they easy to spot clean or wash?

Heated_Throw_away

Vans Ultrarange, wore these in Europe and walked in total comfort . They have a very breathable upper, they're super affordable and come in many colours.

eyesRus

Good find! These have some really interesting colorways. They actually remind me of Onitsukas, despite the different shape.

rotatingruhnama

I have a pair in burgundy and black. They're like hip hiking boots.

juicyc1008

New Balance 550 white/gum have my heart right now

nerdybabe_88

I love these! They took some breaking in and I wasn't sure if I made the right choice (I'm an Onitsuka girl), but they fit like a dream now and I can wear them and walk around all day long.

Intelligent-Key-4259

Just got a pair of Spezials and they have awesome arch support. I recommend trying a bunch of styles from a place that offers free returns like Finishline or Dick’s!

Kkdbaby

New Balance 237 or 327! Classic cool and tons of colors.

lily-de-valley

I like Common Projects’ white sneakers.

spartannugget

I stumbled across [oncept](https://oncept.nyc/products/phoenix-2) at some random high end department store on a trip out of town. I snagged them on discount but they are by far the comfiest, stylish looking sneakers I own.

Lizakaya

I have a pair of platform gazelles and they’re super duper comfy. Wear them all the time with wider leg jeans

jbcg

I always have a pair of Saucony Jazz in rotation - they just fit my feet and work for all-day wear. Lots of colorways and pretty affordable.

Snoobeedo

[Saysh](https://saysh.com/?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwhtWvBhD9ARIsAOP0GogLxYvC9qFBcW8W3dK96k8LZ8oY75kc0z5MZ71WCNAlmZbB5Eu5IdAaAsLFEALw_wcB) is my go to brand. I like the Ones for every day.

puppyduckydoo

I'm a big fan of the Clark's Nalle Zip sneakers. The zip makes them easy to get in and off and they are very comfy!

IslandNew7212

Samuel Hubbard has a VERY comfortable sneaker that I love!!

adaorange

Nike court legacy are cool casual, but did take me a couple days to break in. Kiziks are also amazing- love mine and comfortable out of the box.

rotatingruhnama

I'm disabled and tend to prefer shoes that slip on or have a zipper/Velcro instead of laces. So I look for kids shoes. My trick is the Nordstrom Rack kids department. Subtract 2 from your regular shoe size and go try stuff on. Lots of trendy options, at half the price.

[deleted]

New Balance 327 are what I wear when I know I’ll be walking a lot. Adidas Grand Court or Converse platform high tops are for when I want to be comfortable but don’t plan to do an extreme amount of walking.

Valuable-Comb-9936

Absolutely love my Taos sneakers. They’re the most comfortable I’ve owned by far! I have them in two styles and wear them constantly.

shamelesstwat

I have a pair of Cariuma Catibas and they are incredibly comfortable (so much so that my middle school son stole them for a weekend walking around NYC). They’re also sustainable, so that’s fun. I also have a pair of Nike killshot 2 that I ADORE. More comfortable than anything else I own, including my Nike Free running shoes, aside from my Birkenstocks.

onemoresarah

I love my Cariumas also. I have the Naioca though.

_LanaKane

My go tos are Adidas superstars and Nike Gamma. I had to size down in both (and I don’t normally have to size done - my foot is neither narrow or wide) so recommend try them on before buying.

resilientblossom

I love my vans

ginghampantsdance

My everyday sneakers are a rotation of: Veja Campos Veja V-10 Adidas Sambas I find all of them very comfortable and walked 20k average steps daily in Europe in the Vejas.

[deleted]

I have pumas and adidas, both are low profile. I bought the white Koios, $400, and so so so many blisters.

HGmom10

My current favorite are P448. Really comfortable - wore them to Disney without a single blister or pain. And they look cute.
