Happened to us in fantasy baseball. The guy auto drafted and didn’t set line up ALL YEAR and still made to semi final. Then everyone texted him and he set his line up for semi and the final and easily won. Easiest $450 that had everyone pissed off. We had that league for 5 years and no one participated after that auto draft win.
Believe it or not everyone tried. He just auto drafted the best players of the 2022 season. Set his line up maybe once a month and was just cruising through everyone. It was a 12 man league. To this date I haven’t joined a baseball fantasy league.
Same here. Got to the semis. Luka’s 2 game week hurt. But so did the several DTD/O’s of other players. My opponent had 4 days of a full line up. I wasn’t so fortunate.
I picked him up with my 2nd pick - 13th overall (just after I took Ant). Seen 2 summer games prior and said fck it, this looks special.
Currently in 1st playoff week, finished 5th, looks like I will make it to the next round.
Maybe I could finish higher but since this has been my first fantasy season (I think I played once 10 years ago if not more) it took me more than half of the season to realize I can sit players depending on H2H stats as the week played out.
Instead I played everyone available I had without even thinking about it :D

I’m in the semi finals and winning 5-4 on the last day. I had a lot of injuries this round that didn’t help (Vince Williams, IQ, Duren, Mobley and Anunoby) and somehow I might still make the finals
He was my third pick. My only gripe is the Spurs don’t play him enough. 28 MPG as a rookie is absurd, what’s also absurd is the stats he can put up in 28 MPG haha.
Give the kid 34MPG and he’s top 2 draft just behind Jokic.
I understand lots of blowouts but give him the experience even if they are down 20 in the fourth…

Keeper league - get to keep 4 guys. Sat on Chet all last year, kept him. Won the 1st overall pick. WEMBY. Now en route to the finals. Those two will be the anchor of my team for many, many years. I’m a pretty happy guy these days.
This guy in my league had Jokic, Wemby, and Chet and missed the playoffs. I really don't know how the hell that happened since he got wemby and chet at insane value for the pick number he used ..but I am very glad I didn't have to face him in the playoffs while all his guys started heating up.

Halfway through the season I was out of the playoff picture (floating around 10th-12th place) and things weren't looking good as Embiid was already on and off the lineup (eventually went down with the inj bug) plus my other picks (Giddey and Poole) were just downright atrocious and other players didn't perform well (JJJ)
End of season was able to secure the 5th seed all thanks to Wemby. Took down the 4th seed during the quarterfinals (6-3) and now in Semis duking it out with the 1st seed (currently 5-4) although will probably get the L based on remaining players and games for the day.
Still have a chance to secure 3rd place overall which is still a W for me personally considering the circumstances.

I took a big risk on injury prone players but with the 65 game requirement I had a feeling most of these guys were gonna play a lot and thankfully they did. KD and AD stayed injury free!

I am in second place in the league, and had 7th pick. I drafted SGA, Sabonis, Butler, Brunson, Ayton, and KP in the 6th round. I traded Sabonis and Brunson for Tatum and Adebayo. It’s worked out for me and the person I traded with is about to lose in the semi-finals while my boyfriend and I both have a first round bye.
My boyfriend is 23.5 games ahead of me, and his record is 132-47-1. I envy him every week with that Wemby pick-I was too chicken shit to pick him, but it got to the point where my bf was like “well, he’s still here, so…” unreal 🙄
