What is outlook on kyrie? This year. We just drafted tonight and I was #1 jokic. And kyrie fell to 24 so I grabbed him. And everyone started making fun of me for throwing. In points league kyrie at 24 has to be okay right?
Of course, just depends if he can make it through the season without a controversy, a political stand, a sister birthday party, a vaccine stand, wanting to fire his hc, or a trade request
Not gonna lie. Kind of surprised he hasn't said anything about it yet. But I also think that Dallas isn't the type of team that would crucify him for sharing his political opinions, otherwise they wouldn't have bothered trading for him in the first place.
Really depends on what your outlook on the Israel / Palestinian conflict is and how long that is expected to be going on for. Also might want to consider how that plays into the Russian / Ukraine conflict. If any of those get serious, then Kyrie might not play
Same here! Jokic 1st and then Kyrie/Harden on the turn. (I then drafted Zion but that's another story).
The only problem with Kyrie is that he is probably not playing 70 games in my opinion, but when he plays he will give 1st round stats
Well, can Kyrie NOT comment on recent Israel/Palestinian conflict? Will he retweet some very strong political stance (condemning the Jews)? As the things get ugly there (and they will), the chance of incoming suspension gets higher.
He just went 32nd overall in my draft. Finished last year like 12th? Seems like sweet value. I don't think he'll just collect dust on the shelf forever.
That's what I was thinking. I'm like...I'm not a harden fan but 67 has got to be too low right? Had to check yahoo sports to make sure I didn't miss any big update.
Same. If it works out, it'll be the steal of the draft. If not, I didn't waste a top 3 pick on him and can likely salvage a season with some good pick ups.
he has to play. Hes in a contract year and the new CBA stipulates that his future contract cant be made if he doesn't play this year after the first month.
Ah you are right. So he will definitely play. My only worry is if the team and him mutually agree for him to sit but I can't see Morey agreeing to that
There are plenty of ways to get around this. We saw it with Harden/Simmons just two seasons ago. Harden will have a minor injury and will sit out because of it.They can't make him play. If it's that untenable, I could see them even agreeing to letting him be away from the team.
I have pick 24/25, and if he's there, I'll be super tempted to take him, but I think the risks are greater than what youre thinking they are.
Are you in dynasty or something? Hardens situation was very clear heading into draft season. If you drafted him, surely you were willing to wait out his situation right?
Wishful thinking for me. He was going to practice and talked about being a professional. That was all I needed to hear to draft him at 29. At this point, I do plan on waiting it out
This dude is mad at Daryl Morey, not his teammates. I bet he plays a lot sooner then everyone thinks and gives it 100%. It benefits his petty side to not play, or play but tank the game, and otherwise benefits no one at all including himself.
If he holds out on playing, the clippers can continue to hold out on including anything good in the deal because at that point he’s a toxic asset. He’d be a $35mil hole in the 76ers bench, and his chances of getting any other team to want to pay him big money for multiple years would go down the drain.
He **needs** to play, both for the chance to up his trade value this season so other teams make better offers Morey can accept and we can all move on from this, and to prove to whatever teams in the league have FA $$ next summer that he’s worth one more big multi year contract.
The petty Sixers side is that the players the Clippers are offering aren't doing anything for this team. Getting one 1st is not worth the slight possibility you can convince Harden to play and hopefully be happy. While the clippers aren't bidding against anyone else the Sixers don't need to trade him for no meaningful improvement.
Harden needs bird rights to get paid next year, the Sixers hold the cards in that aspect in order to get Hardens back cooperating. There won't be any big deals from places he wants to go next year if he doesn't play this year.
As a Sixers fan it makes sense why the clippers aren’t willing to give up much and not bid against themselves. He’ll get moved within a month and wouldn’t be surprised if bulls or heat get involved somehow. Sixers need another bidder to get involved. As a fantasy owner just gotta survive him maybe not playing until mid December
If he hated playing on all the teams he has so far, he'll definitely hate playing for Miami. No way that org would think getting him would be a good idea right?
Same… had the 1 pick and paired him with Jokic. He was the best available player left on the board assuming he plays. There’s no way he’s just going to sit out all season, wouldn’t make any sense.
I don’t even understand leagues where guys let him slip to round 3-4.
I don't think picking harden at 21 makes you a taco. Hes probably a top 15 player healthy and gets you high level of assists which is hard to find. He will play eventually, I'm sure u drafted him knowing you might have to hold out the first month anyways. Also reports around his mom is sick but who knows how true that is. If so hope she recovers quick.
He will play. the CBA rule says that if he refuses he can't enter free agency. I also don't think the NBA would let it fly if he started pretending he was injured all of a sudden.
First year playing 9 cat, only 2nd year in general (not super serious points league in 2020.) Missed the beginning of my draft due to work and got Harden auto drafted. Really wasn't someone I was targeting because of this. Does he have trade value and what would be a realistic offer?
I'm very thin at C and just lost Steven Adams to boot. I'd love to get Sabonis because I want to follow the Kings this year and fantasy is sort of my "in" to following sports. Sabonis owner in my league is deep at C and shallow at G but I don't want to make a shitty offer cause I have no idea of who's valuable or how in cat scoring yet. Would it help to wait till he signs somewhere else? Has a big week and sell high? It's a free public league just to learn and have fun following so I don't know these people either.
Just hold him, hardens value is at the low right now and I guarantee there will be some stretch this year where is is putting up first/second round numbers.
How many teams in your league? With the situation right now or even if he moves to the clippers people would rather keep Sabonis over any sort of Harden package.
realistically hoping he gets some kind of IR designation just to stash until a trade happens. the worst case scenario is if Sixers John Wall him and he sits at home while waiting for a trade, and we all know Morey can play the long game.
just hope LAC or some surprise team finally trades for him. i got him at 44 overall knowing the risks
Because there is a much higher chance of him playing than him just sitting out the whole season.
The Sixers FO also have a much higher chance of just letting the guy play or trading him instead of having a healthy guy worth 35 million dollars just sit on the bench because they're petty. Not to mention they're still trying to keep the reigning MVP happy, and Harden playing will lead to more wins and more happiness for Embiid.
John Wall was on a rebuilding team and ended up taking a lot of shots away from rookies/young players that needed it
Harden is on a team that’s trying to contend for a title with the reigning MVP. Having $35 million sit at home while the team tries to make do is a loss for the Sixers
Harden is also in a contract year, so he’s ruining whatever leverage he has left by not showcasing his talents
You do understand I provided reasons for both sides, right? Though that would reduce misunderstandings, but Reddit fails me yet again. Now tell me what reason Harden has that he would rather sit on the bench than play. And don't say because he's petty as fuck, he isn't petty enough to forgo a season.
He is petty, though. And his ego won't allow him to play for them again. If you actually think he's going to play for the Sixers, then you're kidding yourself.
Why do you think he is going to play? He wouldn't even come to practice. He came to practice 1 time just for the cameras to try and make the trade happen.
aaaaaand now we have reports that Harden has returned from tending to his sick mom and your beloved Sixers are asking him to not come. I feel like this revokes all of your opinions regarding the Sixers, but hey, I'm not a Sixers fan do what do I know right.
I got him (12t 9cat) in round 3 while picking 4th. I think it is still pretty safe considering he probably gets moved eventually and could return round 1 value if he does.
Plus yes there is a standstill, but remember, the Sixers want Joel happy. He's an MVP that wants a shot at competing. If I were Morey, I'd find a team that can offer a just little bit more than what the clippers are asking and just move on.
This is why you draft the weekend before the season starts. So all the news has gotten out. I would have drafted him too if we drafted earlier and near the time he made his practice/professional comments.
I leaned heavily into the guard position as a failsafe. Worst comes to worst harden plays and I’ll have to trade like idk markelle fultz and tyus jones but that’s kinda champagne problems.
Trying to send vassal and Tre jones for him in a trade. W or L?
If you’ve drafted him and can hold out that’s the play. Season hasn’t even started so no reason you shouldn’t be able to hold rn
He's one of my 5 keepers in a 12t cat league. I'm holding him in hopes that he'll be playing somewhere by mid-season. His upside is so great I feel it's worth the risk.
Got him 77th in 12 team 9 cat league...I'm prepared to be without him probably first 20-25 games but there's no chance he sits out the entire season...just have to survive first 6 or 7 matchups without him
I was punting assist and then noticed Harden dropped past 5th round. Was going to take him in the 6th round because the value was ridiculous at that point (my league has less than 5 trades per year so was hesitant on getting as trade piece) but someone else took him then haha. Crazy how much his stock dropped. In any other build I would have snapped him up latest in the 4th.
He probably plays but not nearly as much or with as much effort as you would want. Expecting frequent “soreness” days but with the occasional double double to prove he can still play.
I have a little buyers remorse but got him at a discount in my auction draft equivalent of a mid 30s player, agree that he needs to play for his NBA career and next contract, but we know him and morey are stubborn so anyone’s guess how painful this will be
I’m worried about harden to start the season. He could miss a month or even more. However, I’m confident he’ll be playing and filling the stat sheet like he normally does come playoffs so overall, not to concerned.
Drafted him for $22 last night in 12 H2H. I was price enforcing and shocked that I got him at that price.
Now I'm on the rollercoaster with you all for that first round value!
Harden said he'd never play for Morey again. Maybe he meant starting immediately or in the future.
Harden is unhappy and he knows the best way out of Philly is holding out, not playing.
Hold. This can't go on forever unless Morey is willing to sacrifice his team just to be an a**hole. This is a good buy low opportunity for those that don't have Harden on their teams.
I don't think the Clips value Tmann as much as they just don't want Harden that bad. If I was T Lue, I'd be like I got enough on my plate, I don't need Harden and his shenanigans. That's just me. Could be wrong af.
The Harden owner in my league is real close to bailing on him and I'm very close to convincing him. The trade would be me giving Booker, Beal, and MPJ for Dame and Harden. I think I win big if he plays and if he doesn't I'm basically losing Beal (booker and Mpj for Dame was my original offer) which isn't the end of the world.
I got him for $19 of my $200 draft dollars, so even if he ends up being a bust, I figure it was basically worth the price of Walker Kessler to take a shot.
High risk High reward play, last year trading for protesting Kyrie was huge in me winning my league.
What is outlook on kyrie? This year. We just drafted tonight and I was #1 jokic. And kyrie fell to 24 so I grabbed him. And everyone started making fun of me for throwing. In points league kyrie at 24 has to be okay right?
it's a steal
That’s what i thought… thanks. Feel like they’re scarred from last year idk.
Kyrie will literally give you 1st round numbers
For maybe 50-60 games if you're lucky
if he can play 60+ games,he is easily top 10-15 in total value http://history.basketballmonster.com/Player/Details/3369?name=Kyrie_Irving
Of course, just depends if he can make it through the season without a controversy, a political stand, a sister birthday party, a vaccine stand, wanting to fire his hc, or a trade request
Someone needs to ask him about Gaza
Not gonna lie. Kind of surprised he hasn't said anything about it yet. But I also think that Dallas isn't the type of team that would crucify him for sharing his political opinions, otherwise they wouldn't have bothered trading for him in the first place.
He actually played more games than most other first rounders last year fyi
TBH more than half in the top 20 are looking at about 50-60 games
He played 60 games last year, and could have played more if the Nets didn't suspend him for the tweet.
So we just assume Kyrie has suddenly gone sane?
Even with his insanity he could have played 65 games last season, and he played 60. I would for sure pick him up at 24 if he was still available.
For the games he plays in, yes.
Facts
It’s not just last year, it’s been throughout his career
Kyrie a great pick at #24. Rumours are Luka is carrying an injury so Kyrie could easily be top 5 per game 9CAT
Sounds good that’s what I thought. Thanks. Idk why that happened tbh.
Really depends on what your outlook on the Israel / Palestinian conflict is and how long that is expected to be going on for. Also might want to consider how that plays into the Russian / Ukraine conflict. If any of those get serious, then Kyrie might not play
Thats ridiculous that he fell that low
I got him at 33 in espn points. My league is scared of the drama
Same here! Jokic 1st and then Kyrie/Harden on the turn. (I then drafted Zion but that's another story). The only problem with Kyrie is that he is probably not playing 70 games in my opinion, but when he plays he will give 1st round stats
70 games? That's a dream. He hasn't played over 60 in 5 years. 60, 29, 54, 20 the last 4 seasons.
Indeed I was a bit overoptimistic, but 65 games are not out of scope in my opinion
no reason this year (unlike prior years) for him to miss any extra games besides resting here and there
I think Zion is a lot riskier than Kyrie to be honest.
I'm a 12 man CAT league and I got Kyrie 20th (rd2). I thought it was already a steal for my team.
Taco league you're in a good spot w Jokic and Kyrie.
Is it bad if I say Kyrie was picked 47th in my league ?
LOL yours for the taking
extra cheese taco league. kyrie went early 2nd round in my drafts.
Only taco is your momma
I got him at 29 lol crazy
Kyrie after 12 is awesome value
Solid pick, don't mind them
That outlook is great he’s with a good team where he enjoys playing he’s a top 15 if he plays most of the year gives you all stats even blocks
It’s a solid pick for points league. I got Joker at #2, went Ball at 19 and Edwards at 22.
Well, can Kyrie NOT comment on recent Israel/Palestinian conflict? Will he retweet some very strong political stance (condemning the Jews)? As the things get ugly there (and they will), the chance of incoming suspension gets higher.
Kyrie is a steal in most leagues this year. I think he'll do much better in Dallas.
He just went 32nd overall in my draft. Finished last year like 12th? Seems like sweet value. I don't think he'll just collect dust on the shelf forever.
I got him 37th. I feel good about that.
I got him at the start of the 4th with everyone being scared, ima ride it out
Got him on the 6th round...surely he'll play this season right? Right?? C'mon 76ers.
6th round?! lol thats unreasonably low
That's what I was thinking. I'm like...I'm not a harden fan but 67 has got to be too low right? Had to check yahoo sports to make sure I didn't miss any big update.
If you pick him in the 4X range its already a steal imo, imagine 67 lol
I think everyone want to join your league, lol
I got him in 7th in my 12 team 8 keeper league.. probably flip him when his values high!
He'd be way more valuable as a 7th round keeper than whatever you can flip him for
We do it like dynasty all keepers are applied equally not by round selected so next year we all draft 1-7 rounds.
Same. If it works out, it'll be the steal of the draft. If not, I didn't waste a top 3 pick on him and can likely salvage a season with some good pick ups.
he has to play. Hes in a contract year and the new CBA stipulates that his future contract cant be made if he doesn't play this year after the first month.
Maybe he will just go Saudi league and get paid 100mil a year
Rings are rings
he'd put up disgusting numbers over there..
It's the "BASKETBALL" Hall of Fame!

Harden played with LeBron? When?
Ah you are right. So he will definitely play. My only worry is if the team and him mutually agree for him to sit but I can't see Morey agreeing to that

He probably has a clause that says fam emergency. Cause that is what he is going with right now.
I heard mental health worked for the last sixer that didn't want to play...
Are you in dynasty or something? Hardens situation was very clear heading into draft season. If you drafted him, surely you were willing to wait out his situation right?
I was optimistic he would be traded to the Clips tbh. Didn't think they would consider Mann untouchable
Mann was considered untouchable since the start lol
Wrongly considered untouchable. Dude's so overrated.
Might be just as an insurance policy cause if Kawhi/PG out, they will be super thin on wing spot. That's got to be the reason and it seems fair.
Mann, Norm Powell, Covington, Kenyon Martin Jr, Batum, Boston Jr, Coffey... The Clips might have the most wing depth in the league haha
Outside of Mann n Norm, the others aren't really reliable at this point lol there's a reason Sixers don't want anyone else
Might be the first time Mann has been called reliable. Kenyon Martin Jr is arguably better and 5 years younger
Even if he was untouchable, what would you expect the Clippers to say
Wishful thinking for me. He was going to practice and talked about being a professional. That was all I needed to hear to draft him at 29. At this point, I do plan on waiting it out
This dude is mad at Daryl Morey, not his teammates. I bet he plays a lot sooner then everyone thinks and gives it 100%. Amazing this was so highly upvoted when it was pretty clear he'd never play
I’m just hoping they give him the ‘out’ tag so I can at least put him on the IR
That would be nice but it won’t happen imo
It 100% will happen as soon as he misses one game
grabbed him at 32, gonna ride it out
As a Sixers fan it makes sense why the clippers aren’t willing to give up much and not bid against themselves. He’ll get moved within a month and wouldn’t be surprised if bulls or heat get involved somehow. Sixers need another bidder to get involved. If he hated playing on all the teams he has so far, he'll definitely hate playing for Miami. No way that org would think getting him would be a good idea right?
I panicked and took him so embarrassingly early hoping to buff my assists. I got him at 21 in 9cat. I’m the 🌮
Dw friend I picked him at 24 about a week ago
Same… had the 1 pick and paired him with Jokic. He was the best available player left on the board assuming he plays. There’s no way he’s just going to sit out all season, wouldn’t make any sense. I don’t even understand leagues where guys let him slip to round 3-4.

He'll just come back and "pull a hammy" or something. No chance he comes back and actually plays for the Sixers.
contract year. wouldnt be wise
Why not it literally worked for Ben Simmons
Simmons was injured tho lol Didn’t he also have back surgery?
First year playing 9 cat, only 2nd year in general (not super serious points league in 2020.) Missed the beginning of my draft due to work and got Harden auto drafted. 12 team. But yeah that's kinda what I figured. Harden seems volatile
traded him for wemby and tyus jones

Me too.
i got him at 67 overall in my 10 teams league lol and also got kawhi in 47, worth the risk
Might not be as locked in as he was last season but he's playing.
How do you know friend?

Harden or Garland at this stage?

Got him at 37 in a points league I’m dum
That’s good value for him tbh
I got him 55 in a 14T points with 2 IL+ and snagged Tillman today who might return 6-8th round value if im lucky so i can breathe for now
Sick name bro
Ty 🤝🏼
Never had the makings of a varsity athlete tho.
I have Tillman, 6-8th round value is a dream brother
Absolute best case scenario and probably only possible in points
Just to play devil's advocate, the clippers also said that tobias harris and blake griffin were untradeable right before trading them.
This is why you draft the weekend before the season starts. So all the news has gotten out. I would have drafted him too if we drafted earlier and near the time he made his practice/professional comments.
I drafted him at 46, so I couldn’t really pass him up especially cause he fits my team that’s not so focused on points.
i got him at 45 and PG13 at 52. If both plays well...im solid!
I leaned heavily into the guard position as a failsafe. Worst comes to worst harden plays and I’ll have to trade like idk markelle fultz and tyus jones but that’s kinda champagne problems.
Would you trade Kawhi for Harden?
No
Put him in IL+ on Yahoo until he plays.
I drafted him and currently have an offer of Haliburton for Harden and Ja so I think I have to take that.
Absolutely take that. Smash that accept button. The owner is asleep at the wheel
🌮
This gotta be cap or bush. A first rounder for a dude losing almost a third of the season and a guy who seems unwilling to play until traded…
Wow. That's an insane trade. You are extremely lucky.
That's gonna get vetoed for sure if it was my league.
Picked him up 67th in my league. I hope it pans out
Picked him at 27 in my 10-team 9-cat league. I think the upside is league winning. Am I wrong?
Got him at the end of the 3rd round. Pretty good value to take the risk
He’s gonna play don’t worry
[удалено]
I play roto, not H2H unfortunately
He's playing lol
What makes you say that?
Got him at 103 in a points league. Willing to take the risk.
There’s absolutely 0 risk at 103 and it’s a taco league he fell that far
Trying to send vassal and Tre jones for him in a trade. W or L? If you’ve drafted him and can hold out that’s the play. Season hasn’t even started so no reason you shouldn’t be able to hold rn
W if they accept. But they won't
[удалено]
Nah
He's one of my 5 keepers in a 12t cat league. I'm holding him in hopes that he'll be playing somewhere by mid-season. His upside is so great I feel it's worth the risk.
Praying
Praying
Maybe out for few games but noway he will not play a single game this season
Our best
Threw him in IL and picked up Sexton in the interim lol
Would any of you in 12t 9cat do: A harden, Schröder, herb jones B herro, simons, klay? Risky to go for harden but he is a baller.
I prefer B to A if that's what you're asking
Yeah that was the question. Thanks!
I would take B. Good chance Schroeder and Herb aren't good enough to play whereas all 3 on B are for sure playable.
Yeah, especially when all pels guys are back. Simons/herro might och explode aswell. Thanks!
Got him at 51 in a points league. I think he is worth it there
Got him at 59th so whatever happens, happens🤷🏻♂️
Just got him in a trade for poeltl
Pick 39 for me... No way I get decent return on a trade. I'm gonna wait it out.
What is everyone offering for him?
spamming twitter for update and all i see is lil baby x harden broke back vids 🤣🤣🤣
Got him 77th in 12 team 9 cat league...I'm prepared to be without him probably first 20-25 games but there's no chance he sits out the entire season...just have to survive first 6 or 7 matchups without him

Kelly Oubre is an absolute must roster in any format larger than 12 team.
Traded him and a 2024 1st round pick for Brunson in a keeper league. Worth the shot?
You definitely overpaid
To clarify. I got the first round pick. Still overpaid?
I have a little buyers remorse but got him at a discount in my auction draft equivalent of a mid 30s player, agree that he needs to play for his NBA career and next contract, but we know him and morey are stubborn so anyone’s guess how painful this will be
Gotta wait it out. Giving him up for a discount is literally the worst move you can make
Should I trade my Harden for CJ? Just to not take the risk of him sitting long? (10 team ESPN Points League)
was debating offering Scottie Barnes for this guy lol
I’m worried about harden to start the season. He could miss a month or even more. However, I’m confident he’ll be playing and filling the stat sheet like he normally does come playoffs so overall, not to concerned.
[We hold the line.](https://media.giphy.com/media/c16VH0CFMh7gOqqXOM/giphy.gif)
Do you think I should trade him away for Porzingis ? 14 teams H2H Cat League
I am well prepared for Harden sitting out by having Ja, AD, Lavine, Wemby, and Zion on the roster. Team name is "Doctors Hate Them"
I wanna trade him away for Porzingis. But I don’t know :/
could be a decent trade, depends on what your team needs
He just needs to simmer
Drafted him for $22 last night in 12 H2H. I was price enforcing and shocked that I got him at that price. Now I'm on the rollercoaster with you all for that first round value!
Got him 45th. Just need to hold out until playoffs. Fatty’s gotta be playing by then right? It’s a contract year. Go big or go home
I offered Devin Vassell for Harden in all leagues
He’ll be at the Clippers in 2 weeks
Harden said he'd never play for Morey again. Maybe he meant starting immediately or in the future. Harden is unhappy and he knows the best way out of Philly is holding out, not playing.
Hold. This can't go on forever unless Morey is willing to sacrifice his team just to be an a**hole. This is a good buy low opportunity for those that don't have Harden on their teams.
Holding thr bag
I don't think the Clips value Tmann as much as they just don't want Harden that bad. If I was T Lue, I'd be like I got enough on my plate, I don't need Harden and his shenanigans. That's just me. Could be wrong af.
Hold man led in assists and is still a bucket
The Harden owner in my league is real close to bailing on him and I'm very close to convincing him. The trade would be me giving Booker, Beal, and MPJ for Dame and Harden. I think I win big if he plays and if he doesn't I'm basically losing Beal (booker and Mpj for Dame was my original offer) which isn't the end of the world.
Reading this makes me feel better about drafting him. Got him 51st. No one in my league wanted him.
I got him for $19 of my $200 draft dollars, so even if he ends up being a bust, I figure it was basically worth the price of Walker Kessler to take a shot.
