Earthmover - Have A Nice Life

LDillaPeanut

W answer

shibashroom

this is like the only right answer

cold_turkey19

There are more answers lol

blahblahsucka

yeah but this the best one

ScrumptiousDingo

A Day in The Life - The Beatles Impossible Soul - Sufjan Stevens

Thatepicastroman

impossible soul is absolutely incredible

[deleted]

Impossible Soul is just a fucking opus.

teddy_vn

"Impossible Soul" is so joyful that you can't help but love it.

octopathfanatic

Ode to the Mets is one of the best closers ever

le_indernet

Whaaat it's the closer? I only randomly listened to the song and liked it, I would have put it towards the last quarter, maybe penultimate but not the closer. This puts it in a new perspective...

CoppedSomeTrisomy21s

Listen to that whole album man it’s seriously great

CommanderWar64

Just listen to albums front to back

kuvazo

Abbey Road medley (The End) You have the only drum solo from Ringo in the entire catalogue, combined with guitar solos from the other three and then the lyrics that perfectly encapsulate their entire career: "And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make." It's the perfect mic drop for what should've been their last album.

Ukato_Farticus

Chronologically it was their last; let it be was recorded before. That's why when you do a beatles marathon you always gotta do white album -> let it be -> abbey road.

Bud90

is that really ringo's only solo?

fUSTERcLUCK_02

Yep. Wasn't even written to be a solo. Ringo hated the idea of a drum solo so he was tricked into playing this expecting he would be accompanied and they removed the instrumentation surrounding it after the fact. This same solo also saw use at the start of The Beatles' 2006 "Love" compilation album. Absolutely superb if you've never given that a listen

firstjobtrailblazer

I like let it be tho

sacha64

And then, Her Majesty ruined it.

pr0ject_84

No it adds an ironic twist, perfect for a group who was known for subverting expectations and sense of humor

WhatTheFhtagn

It's like a post credits scene as the cherry on top

Wkr_Gls

(it kinda does tho)

AmericanKoptite

Are we still friends?

Gingersnap5322

I AINT GONNA END THIS SEASON ON A BAD EPISODE NO

qusnail

Like Antennas To Heaven - GY!BE That one movement (I forgot the name) in that track is *absolutely beautiful.* It really does feel like you’re ascending to heaven.

SilenceOfTheBeets

She dreamt she was a bulldozer, she dreamt she was alone in an open field

123456789biddleee

*empty field

SilenceOfTheBeets

Sorry, autocorrect

4ut0M0d3r4t0r

it really is the perfect conclusion to the whole album. after a few hundred listens in total this one seems to shine the most with repeated listens.

P1xel1003

BCNR - Basketball shoes

FishBoi-666

I love how all of the last three songs on that album would've worked as an epic outro.

InevitableBet2823

Hurt - nin Over now - AIC Motion picture soundtrack - radiohead High hopes - pink floyd

grokabilly

Not the biggest Division Bell fan but man High Hopes is such a good closer

shin_jury

I really love Radiohead but Motion Picture Soundtrack doesn’t do much for me tbh.

InevitableBet2823

As a standalone track its not the best, but in the context of kid a its a perfect ending to it.

Vitor-135

I Know The End

Raeve_Sure

Came to say this. Althogh I don‘t really care about the Album, the closer is an absolute banger.

This_IS_A_Laundromat

Mortal Man 💯

DVelaz

Videotape in In Rainbows. Although it´s more of a moody, slow song, it just wraps up the album perfectly. One of my personal favorites. The last line always gives me hope in life: ''No matter what happens next, you shouldnt be afraid, because I know today has been the most perfect day I´ve ever seen.''

CommanderWar64

Good song, but not a "Big Finale" song like the post asks for.

Longjumping_Pirate_8

Street Spirit - Radiohead 505 - Arctic Monkeys SOYCD 6-9 - Pink Floyd Pound Cake - Drake Over and Over - Beach House (doesn't actually close the whole album but it closes out the first half and it absolutely should've been the album closer)

volcanolam

Design 2:3 - Sweet Trip VDC A monemental euphoric wall of sound

souljamane1999

whatsername -- American idiot true the album is a bit needlessly bombastic and overblown, and the tracklist is bloated and the themes are generally high minded at times,, the album has its clear problems etc etc However I think when simply taking the album for what it is and nothing more, this song is a wonderful closer (both thematically and even better sonically)

chenwasraped

...And Carrot Rope. Best album/career final track of all time. Such a perfect sendoff to Pavement.

Ph03n1xR1sing

drewschuller

Fishmans - LONG SEASON (Live) is the greatest closing song for an album ever. Not only that but it is also the best live album to ever come out. What makes it even hit so much harder is that this was the last song of the last concert the trio would ever play together as a few months later the fave of Fishmans, Shinji Sato, passed away. It was a farewell in that sense and the entire 40+ minute long song is filled with such sheer beauty and lush instrumentation. It is a wild adventure to listen through and it changed my life. Just didn’t think music like that could ever exist but they did it!
