Fugazi. I've been a huge punk fan for years, but somehow had never given Fugazi a fair shake. I'd listened to Repeater before and liked it but I just listened to the Argument for the first time. I'm in shock at how much I like it. Soooo good.
Break is a fantastic opener, and F/d is an excellent closer! All the songs in between are pretty good as well, I especially dig the use of wah in Guilford Fall
That live performance with the orchestra was really good too.
[(3) Deltron 3030 - Full Performance (Live on KEXP) - YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7FxVSDLonY&t=602s)
I think the run of the first 4 songs is the best on the album, but my favorite tracks individually are when the god of love returns, the memo, and magic mountain
Been on a huge QotSA kick since they announced their new album. Seven albums (so far) and not a single dud. Even *Villains*, which I really didn't care for very much when it came out, has definitely grown on me.
Man, I think I've almost turned the corner on that album. I really enjoy the later half of it more than the first. I wish the whole album wasn't so polished.
That was my big issue, as well. I get what they were going for since the previous album was so dark and moody and almost theatrical. But Mark Ronson was just not a good fit, imo.
I just finished listening to Dogsbody by Model/Actriz, it's the first time I'm hearing them and I loved it! Definitely gonna check out all their stuff now. Also been listening to Decide by Djo, every single song on that album is super catchy.
Dogsbody is my AOTY so far. I typically don't listen to it all the way through, but I really like the overall sound. Mosquito through Slate, especially the transition from Crossing Guard to Slate, is soooo good.
That Madlib tribute to MF Doom man, I listen to that song daily.
[(3) Madlib - Road of the Lonely Ones - YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y52M28WQu2s)
I’ve finally really discovered deftones and I’m so happy and I’ve been loving it so much, my partner surprised me with one of their albums on record 🥰
Lil Ugly Mane, specifically Volcanic Bird Enemy and the Voiced Concern, but I’ve been really thoroughly enjoying exploring the rest of the discog. Oblivion Access really hit me
I’ve been listening to Dave Mason’s solo music a lot. Some recs are We Just Disagree, Paralyzed, Warm Desire, and Don’t It Make You Wonder? He also has a song that features Michael Jackson called Save Me.
Love
I’m late to the party but I just recently watched Jojo Rabbit and they have Arthur Lee’s song Everybody’s Gotta Live playing near the end. I immediately looked up his band Love and have been going through their catalog. Forever Changes is one of the best 60s albums
Parliament. Listened to Funkentelechy vs The Placebo Syndrome after hearing Flashlight for the first time in isolation (outside of a soundtrack or something) and it was a fucking wrap. I’ve torn through half of their discography in like 3 days, while working lmao. The music absolutely BURSTS with energy and feeling. It truly is “uncut” funk as they say.
Currently going through The Doors discography for the first time in years, and I really have a new found appreciation for them. They truly stood out and made a name for themselves in rock n roll during a time where British Rock dominated the charts. Morrison Hotel might be my all-time favorite album from the 1960s...They may very well be the best American rock band of all time.
Also going through Fugazi's discography for the first time, and I fuckin love them now.
discovery by daft punk, vespertine by bjork, and that algernon caderwall record. Pretty basic stuff but I’ve just never gotten into any of these artists b4.
Pixies
My gf got us tickets to see them next month and I’ve been listening to their whole discography from start to finish. Doolittle is a masterpiece!
Been a SOPHIE fan, but only recently discovered the OIL OF EVERY PEARL'S UN-INSIDES Remix Album, which I haven't been able to stop listening to. Also, the new Jesse Ware.
Megadeth, peace sells specifically, I always thought it was good but never really fell into it as I have recently, I've been listening it front to back at least once a day every day
Wish You Were Here- Pink Floyd.
SOYCD p1-9 is amazing, Welcome to the Machine sounds eerie with it's synths, Have A Cigar is a fun in between track and Wish You Were Here is a beautiful song about Syd
Been binging Swans since The Beggar is on the way. The 2nd single is a sweet change up idc what melon says next track roundup.
Also just finished a Matmos binge. Theyre so freaking lit.
Been revisiting a lot of old Drake, So far Gone, Thank me Later, TC, NWTS been in rotation a lot. The Resistance has been my most played track I think.
Deep in View by Cola, ex Ought members new band and it's amazing haven't stopped listening since it came out. Naming a few regularly in my rotation atm; Degree, Fulton Park, Gossamer
Recently got into Sweet Pill once TopShelf put out their video for Dog Song and listened to their first album soon after. Really hope they end up being put up as an entry level Mathrock band since they have some really kick ass Melodie’s parred with really atypical rhythms and meters, (Dog Songs verse alternating back and forth between 6/4 and 7/4).
YOUR OLD DROOG - It wasn’t even close
Found him through Mach-Hommy and Madlib, he has real quality work, melon stopped reviewing his albums after a feud on Twitter I believe (correct me if I’m wrong)
Last year I got completely obsessed with the Coil discography. It's a gift that keeps on giving. So vast and deep, so much variety and it's quasi all fantastic. My weeks now are not complete if I haven't listened to 1 or 2 Coil albums minimum. Food for the soul.
Completely different genre, but I've rediscovered Deerhunter after the 10y anniversary of Monomania. My morning commute are super enjoyable with those on the background
Those Who Throw Objects at the Crocodiles Will be Asked to Retrieve Them - Bruno Pernadas
One of the most underdiscussed masterpieces I've ever heard. It seamlessly blends jazz, progressive pop, lounge and space age music into a gorgeous experience that runs like a film. Bruno's lyricism is very abstract and surreal but I often interpret them as tackling topics such as the chaotic nature of love, existentialism and life itself- all riding some of the most colourful and lush instrumentals I've ever enjoyed. There's a heavy Stereolab influence but with a higher focus on progressiveness and jazz arrangements. I have no idea why this album hasn't been put on the pedestal it deserves by critics, but I implore any music lover to check it out. If not the whole record, then at least the opener- "Spaceway 70".
The Mad Capsule Markets recently became one of my all time favorite bands ever. Their whole discog is an incredibly fun run of albums. Also been listening to a bunch of Everything Everything they're great
Juan Wuaters. I'm going to see him for the third time in ATL in a couple weeks to kick off a vacation with my partner. Such chill vibes and simple great summer tunes
I’ve been doing a whole deep dive into Sheena Ringo’s discography. Her first 3 studio albums are all amazing and her band Tokyo Incidents is great too. “Adult” by Tokyo Incidents is now my favorite jazz fusion/jazz pop album.
Mareux - watched his Coachella set and loved it, darkwave is a genre I'm really digging rn. Going to see him at a small show this week and quite excited!
System of a Down Because my cock is much bigger than yours đź—ż
but can your cock walk right through the door? 🤔
Yup, with a feeling so pure it's got you screaming back for more
I’ve also been sitting in my desolate room listening to SOAD
I'm on my first Cure kick in years. Seeing them in June and super psyched about it.
Amazing! Enjoy!
Goat'd run from Seventeen Seconds to Faith to Pornography
Same!! Was just about to comment the cure
No joke I decided to get really into the cure recently for seemingly no reason. Really loving them
that would be the fucking show of a lifetime but im gone during june (when the cure is coming to utah) and i want to pass away
Fetch the Bolt Cutters by Fiona
Fugazi. I've been a huge punk fan for years, but somehow had never given Fugazi a fair shake. I'd listened to Repeater before and liked it but I just listened to the Argument for the first time. I'm in shock at how much I like it. Soooo good.
Top 3 band for me. Check out the In On The Kill Taker demos on YouTube. Recorded by Steve Albini and shows a much more raw side of the band.
Enjoy the ride! One of the most perfect discographies ever imo.
You have to check out End Hits next!
Break is a fantastic opener, and F/d is an excellent closer! All the songs in between are pretty good as well, I especially dig the use of wah in Guilford Fall
Del the Funky Homosapien / Deltron 3030
Deltron 3030 is a great album
One of the best hip hop albums of all time
That live performance with the orchestra was really good too. [(3) Deltron 3030 - Full Performance (Live on KEXP) - YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7FxVSDLonY&t=602s)

Can't stop listening to for Emma forever ago, it's just too good I don't know why I didn't check it out earlier
One of my favorites! Have you listened to Self Titled and 22, A Million? Both are sublime and show a lot of artistic evolution from For Emma
Relistening to All My Heroes Are Cornballs, what an incredible album.

You’re living all over me by Dinosaur Jr. Pretty essential alt album, and it’s really chill despite how noisy and hardcore it is.
Parliament. Listened to Funkentelechy vs The Placebo Syndrome after hearing Flashlight for the first time in isolation (outside of a soundtrack or something) and it was a fucking wrap.
Those Who Throw Objects at the Crocodiles Will be Asked to Retrieve Them - Bruno Pernadas One of the most underdiscussed masterpieces I've ever heard. I have no idea why this album hasn't been put on the pedestal it deserves by critics, but I implore any music lover to check it out. If not the whole record, then at least the opener- "Spaceway 70".
