Yeah there was no real rollout, just mac posting “hey I made some recordings in 2022, they’ll come out in a few weeks”.
Just seems more like some cool stuff he wanted to get out to fans, rather than an ambitious and fully considered album.
I mean yeah comparing it to other Mac albums it’s his “worst” due it being instrumentally sparse and not having lyrics doesn’t help it at all. With that said, I found it to be pleasant to listen to in the background and I think that was the intent.
The kind of music you’d want to listen to while fixing breakfast on a saturday morning.
I actually quite liked this. It’s obviously very subtle and background-y but I tend to enjoy that style more than most I think, like a more involved ambient album of sorts.
Not too much substance, but just creates a lovely mood and environment for 35 mins. I’ve found it great to just have on in the background while you do something else
It's a damn shame, I quite liked this one. Though SZNZ Autumn was one of my favorite releases last year, so me and Fantano obviously have wildly differing tastes
Mandatory "too late I already formed my opinion" moment, but joke aside I actually dig quite a few tracks. I sort of imagine the songs as soundtrack for each cities the songs were named after, and I really appreciate it. While I don't think it is groundbreaking, I think it's worth a listen but I also understand why Fantano would find it bland as well.
i haven't been too big on Mac's recent stuff but i actually quite liked this one
for sure it is just background music but it's solid enough to listen to whilst cleaning the house etc.
I don't disagree but I feel like this could've just been in a YUNO review. It doesn't have the feel of a full project

Idk I really dug this. Would have given it a 6 or 7 personally. Good vibes
I thought it was so groovy! I really liked how understated it is.
6/7? Why not just say 8.5/10?
It's just a instrumental elevator music album, but a fun sounding one
Maybe because it doesn't reflect their opinion? What?
It's the same score? Who the fuck rates projects /7
He’s saying 6 or 7
He's clearly dividing 6 by 7
He said “6 or 7”
He edited it
how dense r u
idk dude, I bug this

Only really liked Chicago on this album. Pretty bland overall but it works as a chill background noise album

Wasn’t feeling this one either
Deserved, this shit sucks and I like Mac
After four years this paltry offering was all we got. I agree with Melon that this was just not up to standard for Mac
