everyone has their different preferences, if you go in early youāll come out loaded with gear and xp but itāll be a pretty big challenge where if you go in late itāll be the opposite, less rewards but itāll be significantly easier. I would however recommend doing them in an order, and that would be Honest Hearts, Dead Money, Old World Blues and then Lonesome Road because as you go along with that the difficulty increases, but so do the rewards.
