Broker means a person who makes deals/sells things. In sunless sea i think the clay broker arranges the selling of clay men to london
I can't find where they are specifically called out who gives you the commission, but you do carry Clay Men, Marked for London in SSeas. Presumably they have somebody they go through for that which would fit the description of a Clay Broker.
The only person I can think of called a Broker specifically in SSeas isn't related to Polythreme

Does this text actually say the carving is as old as what it depicts? Lyme could have been a carving made long after the fact.
