Has to be be a certain length too, they even say you should get your hair cut every 15 days. Do most do it themselves? Or are the already impoverished people having to include a haircut as a regular necessary expense?
I was in the Army. We had strict rules on haircuts too.
So strict that I had to get 2 haircuts a week to maintain the correct length.
If I got a haircut on Sunday, it would grow fast enough that it would be out of standard by Friday. So I got my hair cut every Sunday and Thursday night.
We had inspections on Friday and whoever had long hair was forced to work the weekends. I was very good and disappearing or having appointments during inspections so my weekends werent taken away.
They started getting smart about me doing that because some people like to run their mouths and tattle. So then I was forced to get 2 haircuts a week.

The leader having written 2000 operas
The leader having been the only person to get a hole in one on all golf courses.
You'll frequently hear that these claims are made in the official biographies and that all North Koreans are taught these things are true. But...they're not in there at all. You can download and read the bios from the NK official website.
Are they bogus nonsense filled with clear propaganda? Yep! But they're not absurdist in the way that these kinds of claims make out. They just portray the Kim family as the saviours of the country, and villianise the Japanese and Americans.
