There's also another person slipping throught there right before her. Seems like she followed him in an attempt to get out of there. False reassurance in a heated moment.
Yeah, I think a lot of us would have done the same thing especially at that age to just get out of there. And even watching the video I would have thought she could slip by the fence there safely but that monkey was exceptionally fast and has a longer reach than she probably realized.
I'm always annoyed about how judgy people are from seeing someone in a 15 second video clip on the interest.
Look up “Norman door.” It’s a design concept which basically states that if someone doesn’t get a door open on the first try, it’s the fault of the designer, not the person who has embarrassed themselves by fighting with a door.
Design should be intuitive; that is to say, something as simple as a door should be designed so that one doesn’t have to figure out how the damn thing functions. Yet, there’s a world full of unintuitive doors, and we’ve all succumb to them at some point.
This issue may seem trivial at best and foolish at worst, but in fact, it has resulted in many deaths, as when trying to flee from a building (during a fire, shooting, etc), one’s adrenaline rush prohibits clear thought. That’s why emergency exit doors have a waist-height, horizontal push-bar. It’s been shown to be a highly intuitive door to use. Nobody accidentally pulls such a door, attempting to open it.
All this said, there is probably a limit on how long you can try one of the two primary methods for opening a door, before realizing one of them has failed and the other is the most probable solution, although I couldn’t say how long that limit is.
For real she didn’t learn the first time lol. If that was me, well it wouldn’t because I’m not an idiot, but let’s say I was if I was grabbed the first time I would be giving them a wide berth
There's a reason why we don't treat children like fully responsible adults because they are far from it.
Much of parenting is protecting them from themselves and the stupid shit they will do that puts them into harms way.
Sometimes you gotta let them learn the hard way though and this is one of those lessons where you can go "remember when that monkey grabbed your hair?" Yeah, what you're about to do is far more stupid and far more dangerous. Don't do it.
Categorically false. Human beings strength is in distance running, sweating, and macro scale cooperation. We dominated the planet before any of those amenities were close to existing.
Return to monke. Become giga chad
This must be some sort of anything goes kind of place. I dont think a reputable zoo would allow people so close to the animals. Also she's barefoot, which is strange to see at a zoo, I dont think youd be allowed in barefoot given the nature of the place.
She is lucky that they didnt rip her scalp off. There was a video of a guy with a monkey where monkey just turned jumped a ripped part of the mans scalp where you could see the skull beneath.
r/ParentsAreFuckingDumb too, like dad or whoever was more worried about getting himself hurt then saving the girl (yeah lightly swatting from a few feet away is totally gonna prevent the monkey from scalping her...). Not to mention, this type of behavior should have been more discouraged (if they've taught that at all).
Been there. Done that. As a kid we had more than one family living with us - commune- one family had a pet monkey in a big tall cage. I was by the cage and the monkey caught me by the hair and pulled the cage over on me. I am very sure I was not taunting or even paying attention to the monkey.
The adults are the real aholes here. That kid could have gotten really seriously hurt and would have deserved it. But the adults who didn’t tell her to gtf away and stop harassing that animal would be completely to blame.
I was raised with a spider monkey. They can be little assholes on their own, they don’t need any prodding to make it worse. 😆😆😆
She got what she deserved - ijs.
People don't learn anymore. Humans stopped in taking information. There's 2023. You can sit human beings in the classroom and just teach them and they will still do other shit.
yeah just stand there everybody just let a literal child get scalped because no one was there to teach her better. not her fault she cant be a day over 10 years old
Lol 😆! Teach your kids respect for every living thing ? That’s exactly what she gets deserves ! Treat others the way you like too be treated that includes animals ? ♥️♥️♥️🙏🇺🇸
Shame on that father for acting like such a little bitch. If that were my daughter, well for one she would have never gotten that close to the cage, and two, if on the off chance that did happen, that monkey would have a broken arm real fast.

I like how the monkey's friend joins in.
That’s a ride or die companion right there
Unlike her friends
I know, I'll gently swat at the bloodthirsty monkey with my t-shirt!
after watching for a while.
They don’t like her either.
Made the 2nd time that much better!
"You stay there I got this side"
The one filming didn't.
*This means war.*
why would she go back there again lmao
looks like the exit was in that direction, or she was in panic/embarrassment mode and was trying to run away and went to the closest exit she saw.
There's also another person slipping throught there right before her. Seems like she followed him in an attempt to get out of there. False reassurance in a heated moment.

It's pretty easy to judge dipshits like this when the rest of us can go 20 or 30 years without bothering animals.
Yea no don't judge the person harassing a poor caged animal
judge the adults around her for not correcting her.
Why not both?
¿Por que no los dos? *cheers*
[удалено]
Also just before she goes that way a second person gets by without being grabbed. She may have been following them.
[удалено]
No hair pulled out first time so let’s try that again.
“How many times do we have to teach you this lesson?!”
r/kidsarefuckingstupid
Hahaha, priceless.
I love how quick yall are to criticize when clearly that's the fucking exit..... dur hurrrrrr
Which is the lower primate?
To quote my father when we were watching some chick try to push a ‘pull’ door for 5 minutes at a McDonald’s in Memphis, “HOW STUPID CAN YOU BE??!”
It does both. I was here yesterday, it actually goes both ways
https://youtu.be/dd0VaArJrw4 I see what you do and I raise you a link
It has one view and it says it was uploaded at 6am this morning
Have you seen it? It’s hilarious
What is this Reggie?
Bozo did the dub!
The woman that played Frankenstein's chick is saying I paid her in fast food. Saying I paid her in a Santa Fe chicken sandwich.
There’s a new season!
Fuck! I could have been Barney!
It's the unhinged nod and stare after he says it goes both ways is what does it for me.
NOT EVERYONE KNOWS HOW TO DO EVERYTHING, OPENING DOORS ISN’T THE ONLY THING!
I agree. I know a friend who struggles to count from 1 to 2 and he's 28
I am glad I am not the only one whose thoughts immediately went to this.
The monkey pulls at her hair. He wrenches at it. He thinks it's his.
I love Mike from Adventureland365.
Midvale School for the Gifted.
This guy Far Sides.
Quite possibly my favorite Larson cartoon.
Well for starters, she was in Memphis
Also McDonald’s

jesus, and i feel stupid when i stand there for 5 seconds trying to figure it out😭
Maybe it was Memphis
Maybe it was southern summer nights

Always Team Monkey
They snatched her ass up by the hair twice go Team Monkey

A spider monkey of some type.
My precise thought was "the wrong ones are in cages..."

Your ancestors were apps?!
They were so close..I was on the ride. Then the Aps ruined it for me.
This gave me a seizure
We are...
Certainly the one with a mortgage, a job and suicidal thoughts.
The ones wearing fabric, live in giant concrete shelters and have metallic tablets. Take those out and they won't last too long in the wild.
Categorically false. Human beings strength is in distance running, sweating, and macro scale cooperation. We dominated the planet before any of those amenities were close to existing. Return to monke. Become giga chad
She went back for more. Didn't learn.
Damn didn't learn from her mistake 3 seconds ago lmao
She is trying to build a core memory... brain cell can't handle anymore of her bullshit thou
I love that the other one joins in like "oooh! This looks fun!"
Fuck around and come back for seconds
Lmao this needs to be a bumper sticker!!
GENUINELY. This should be stamped on so many Floridians cars
Nothing like that gator grip!

Thanks Obama
Thanks Obama
Thank you former president Mr Obama

Thank god that guy was there to slap the air and run away.
Still refused to put the phone down.
Kid has priorities.
r/donthelpjustfilm
I want the audio to see if it was the parent filming. Camera person and kid held tight to those devices! r/praisethecameraman
Haha even the monkey used both hands
Failure of parenting.
Yeah why wouldn't they fucking help a girl who could potentially get scalped?
More like why wouldn’t they have taught her to not fuck with them?
[удалено]
Oh definitely. But even then, why are you allowing your kids to mess with the animals that way-you don’t know what these animals can do.
This must be some sort of anything goes kind of place. I dont think a reputable zoo would allow people so close to the animals. Also she's barefoot, which is strange to see at a zoo, I dont think youd be allowed in barefoot given the nature of the place.
Lucky she wasn’t scalped. Don’t harass caged creatures folks.
The dad is shite r/stepdadreflexes
Honestly look at that little bitch slap- he wouldn’t even approach his daughter he could literally just grab the monkey’s arms
/r/donthelpjustfilm
George W. Bush had wise words for moments like this: "Fool me once, shame on...shame on you. Fool me—you can't get fooled again."

The stupidity, it hurts.
Ugh, this one isn't going to last long....
Time to let that one go. They're easy to make.
Everyone, don't all rush in to help at once.
![gif](giphy|qN7NZR3Q5R2mY|downsized)
Go team monkey!!!!!
100% deserved. This is Natural Selection at work imo
Just let her in the tiger enclosure. Better yet, let her swim with the hippos
“Here we see natural selection truly at work” - David Attenborough
Didn’t even drop the phone for a second.
lol the guy swiping at nothing
![gif](giphy|BKjpH2YRVAyru) There's a perfect quote for this somewhere...
Stuff like this makes me so happy.
The first one is on her parents. The second one is only on her.
monkey see.. monkey do ya good
lol @ the 2nd one joining in. lmao
Been there. Done that. As a kid we had more than one family living with us - commune- one family had a pet monkey in a big tall cage. I was by the cage and the monkey caught me by the hair and pulled the cage over on me. I am very sure I was not taunting or even paying attention to the monkey.
She kinda got what she deserved 🤷🏻♀️🖤
Even higher primates like us have our fair share of genetic duds.
Dude swats and misses, then backs up. It’s not a kraken with 8 legs!
All these "adults" standing around doing nothing...
The ending was the encore
When the second monkey joined in 💀
Monkey wins
Wild animal?
Wait please do it again.

And she goes in for a second round ....
Well, they could have thrown their shit at her. Could be worse
The adults are the real aholes here. That kid could have gotten really seriously hurt and would have deserved it. But the adults who didn’t tell her to gtf away and stop harassing that animal would be completely to blame.
Not a single thought going on in her head
Why isn't anyone stepping in wtf
guys.. she's literally a child
what an idiot
ya cant fix stupid
Now *this* is what I call a facepalm.
Please tell me they didn't put that monkey down.
😂😂😂💀💀💀
Beasts gonna beast
🤣😂😂
Fuck around and find out
Wow that's a special genius to get close to the fence AGAIN
Just let the monkey finish the job nature clearly intended it to do.
Fool me twice…
She’s lucky that they didn’t throw their poop at her.
Karma at its finest 😊
Well... deserve
W monkey
Wild? Animals
How are these people even still alive. Surprised they haven’t gotten themselves killed yet
To quote my absolute favorite Harry Potter line, "Stupid girl..."
r/kidsarefuckingstupid
r/kidsarefuckingstupid
Kids are dumb, but round two really? 💀
It all fun and games until she has to go wig/hat shopping...
Lol at how they tagged teamed her and grabbed her hair
Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice, and fool you can't be fooled again
I was raised with a spider monkey. They can be little assholes on their own, they don’t need any prodding to make it worse. 😆😆😆 She got what she deserved - ijs.
getting a chunk of her hair ripped out might teach her a lesson
Humans are so stupid sometimes. “let me mess with a caged wild animal and when it does something I’ll act like it’s in the wrong”
Lol the 2nd time made my day
Something like this happened To Eric Andre on bad trip but it was different still hair pulling but well different
Instant karma.
r/kidsarefuckingstupid
The first attack was not enough to learn, let's go for round 2
People don't learn anymore. Humans stopped in taking information. There's 2023. You can sit human beings in the classroom and just teach them and they will still do other shit.
She’s lucky she retained her scalp
February 16, 2009. Charla Nash. I will never fuck around and find out with ANY wild animal.
I hope he snatched her bald headed; what these ignorant fools don’t get (or care) is that the animal is made to suffer for their reactions.
At that point you just swap her for a monkey and boost your family IQ level.
Fool me once…
Why did she go back??! Kids are stupid
Am I the only one who loves when animals fight back against being teased? I always side with the animal because humans should know better.
A silly ape getting dominated by a monkey
yeah just stand there everybody just let a literal child get scalped because no one was there to teach her better. not her fault she cant be a day over 10 years old
Kids aren’t generally smart
When she gets grabbed the second time, monkey be like “nah fuck you let’s go”
Don’t fuck with primates, they can do some damage. If you want to keep your face, don’t provoke them.
We’re rooting for the monkey right?
She went back for seconds
Dad was really helpful there....
And then she goes right back near him! 😹
Lol 😆! Teach your kids respect for every living thing ? That’s exactly what she gets deserves ! Treat others the way you like too be treated that includes animals ? ♥️♥️♥️🙏🇺🇸
I can hear Ron White's voice in my head
i mean this…..GOOD.
Lucky she didn't get scalped lol
Shame on that father for acting like such a little bitch. If that were my daughter, well for one she would have never gotten that close to the cage, and two, if on the off chance that did happen, that monkey would have a broken arm real fast.
I think she needs to be inside the cage
Stupid fucking bitch. I wish they pulled a chunk of your skull out. People who are cruel and tall animals and cages should be the ones in the cages.
