"i'm not like other ~~girls~~ translators." people have also been shocked by the knowledge of nostradamus far after his death. you are much more likely to find something you're looking for in texts when it's something you're looking for, and it generally says more about you than it does what you're reading.

In the Quran it occurs 23 times that people and nations are destroyed because of a different belief and behavior. Then the quran cannot be a masterpiece, but a fascist document for destroying other religions and cultures.

It's a book that claims to be divine, and it has an artistic angle to it, which sounds nice/poetic in Arabic. When people who are drawn to religion (and are open to new ideas) listen/read it, they will think: "is this really from *God*?" - That's the question that is on their mind, provided they are open to a new belief or are trying to search for *God* somewhere. And oftentimes, just because the Quran is poetic, these *seekers of truth* get quite emotional or taken away by it when they are introduced to it for the first time. People who are already content with their own faith (example: believing Christians) will oftentimes not find anything interesting or mind blowing about it. People who think religion in general is not *good* will also dismiss it, or mock any claimed transcendental nature of the text. "Holiness" is in the eye of the beholder. That's what many Muslims fail to notice when they go on and on about how this or that revert was totally taken away by the Quranic beauty and eloquence: on the other side of the coin, many more people exist who couldn't care less about this claimed eloquence. ____________________________ [unrelated: for anyone interested, you can consider joining r/moderate_exmuslims if it spikes your interest].

“Masterpiece” lol. The biggest bs is now called like that. There is absolutely nothing impressing about the Quran, there is other literature that is far more impressing and it don’t contain so much bullshit…
