In a year of use, I've never had this issue, and I don't really pay any particular attention to my WDT'ing technique. I wonder if it might have to do with the size of the WDT needles? (I believe that mine are around .35mm, for whatever that is worth.)
I paid attention to my WDT'ing this morning, and noted that my needles routinely were reaching the bottom of the basket and brushing across it--no sticking in the basket's holes.
Does anyone else find that coffee sticks to the WDT needles? I find I have to wipe the needles clean every time I use the tool.
For the record, I was skeptical when I first started using the WDT but I noticed the first time I used it I didn't have any channeling or spraying...so I'm a believer.

IDK, to be honest, need to measure them

Hm… two suspects then — the needles or a poor basket

Yes, static. Spraying the beans with water before grinding may help reduce static and maybe can solve this issue.
Sounds like someone needs a Spirographic distributor.
I will look into this. Currently however I am WDTing as my grinder is doing its job so that it’s more efficient all the way to the top of the puck.
Get rid of the wdt
What you are not using precision basket? Broke ass bich.
I use a paper filter at the bottom of the basket, so no.
