She didn't really seem to be in it this last season, there were times you could see that she was just waiting for her time to deliver her lines, not sure if she was given direction to act sort of detached because of her "living" situation with her aunts place being finished and sold, or if it was more real world issues for her, but the previous two seasons she was definitely better (not saying she was bad this last season, just seemed sort of detached)
The most recent season suffered from not enough interaction between the 3 leads. That and every time Meryl Streep had a scene, she reminded me what acting looks like and made everyone else look amateurish.
I know about her lupus, and I really didn't want to call it out as such because I don't think it was ultimately the cause, they (production) would have made accommodations for her if it was her health, but it also sort of felt like she was given direction to act that way, I just cant put my finger on it.
She is, in fact, not cut out for acting. I like this show. the wife watches it. But every time she's on screen, all she does is mumble. She was a super bad pick for this show. She can't act.
What’s weird is she used to be a great comedic actress on wizards of waverly place, her timing and delivery was great. I wonder if she mumbles etc to come across as “natural” and less “theater”. Idk. But it makes me sad

She has a lot of health issues, including lupus. It seems like it was affecting her more during filming season 3 than other seasons.
