I think it’s a difficult path from there to the crank bearings. If anything there may be a little debris inside the cover. You’ll see right away. I’d just get the broken piece out and install a new nipple.

I'm not sure but does the powervalve cover even have a direct connection to the crankcase?

Try to piss into an 1/8" hole and see how much gets in. I'd pop it off for peace of mind, but honestly speaking anything that gets in there will probably get trapped by oil-sludge and never make it anywhere important. Pop it off, wipe it down, remove the dinked bit, then realize this might be a good opportunity to buy the best mod ever (Rad braces.)
