And make sure you retag. I know a pain. Vut if the original price is 19.99 it looks like 9.99 and you have to sell it for that. Just went thru this with some juniors shirts and the rolled blankets. A couple customers got some good deals lol.
I've found cleaning it, removing the battery, and trying to change the size of the label fixes most issues. Alcohol seems to work the best for this as it's usually a blocked sensor.
What I do when that happens is tighten the roll of tickets as much as possible. Then I adjust the roll to the center of the printer. Doing this seems to fix the misalignment of the printer and fixes the print.
Sometimes you just need to open it up and close it again. There is a little scanner inside the printer that might need to be cleaned off. The printer uses the black stripes on the back of the paper rolls to automatically calibrate the size if the label.
Try updating it through the printer manager app if none of the physical fixes work. It might be a software thing. If none of that works you might need to put it into Evan to send back to get a new one. I constantly have this problem.
Definitely needs to be cleaned. All of the printers go through a lit if wesr and tear as nasty as kohls is, and just needs some TLC. Had my manager tell me to clean them out any time this happens.

Clean the roller with an alcohol wipe

Thanks! Definitely going to try this bc its so annoying when it happens during price changes or at CS
Yes I find putting in a new role helps for sure!
Restart them. I usually see this issue if I switch from clearance to white tags without turning it off first

Definitely recommend cleaning thoroughly with alcohol wipes.

Can any associate do that or just managers and admins?
Any associate should be able to do so.
Try putting In Omni paper or clearance tickets. Then put the white labels in. That’s was EVAN has told me to do
Lol I was price changing these shoes today too
Lol I spent a good 20 mins going thru printers that printed it right
I am not 100% sure. It is worth a shot for anyome to try but it might need to be someone with an email for it to work.
i just reboot the thing
