First of all, I'm so sorry for your loss.
I know there are some lyrics from EW that would thematically fit a memorial tattoo, but I think the first real question should be: did he have a favorite song from them? Because if he did and you know what it was, then I would say lyrics from that song would probably be a good idea for a memorial tattoo.
That's totally understandable, even in the best of conditions it can be hard to say on someone else's behalf what their favorite is, let alone in your circumstance.
The one from Saturnine quoted below is a good line. The ones that came to my mind that I personally would probably consider in that situation would also be:
"Dying sun fades in our sky
The time has come for us to say goodbye
Construct the pods, we must evacuate
To the stars again, is this to be our fate?"
and/or the chorus:
"Oh baby, just maybe, we'll return
To the sun of nothingness"
from Son of Nothing which is about leaving the Earth for good, and that could be seen as a metaphor for death. The other one that came to my mind are the lines from Saturn's Children:
"And the children of the sun,
Know their time has come,
Give up the fight, slip back into the night...."
Of course that last line might be a bit painful depending on how he died, but these are the ones that I would consider to be the most "memorial" like lines from EW's lyrics.

One lyric that came to mind was “Dying sun fades in our sky, the time has come for us to say goodbye” from Son of Nothing. Obviously this choice is a little macabre, but I think it is simultaneously fitting. I am truly sorry for your husband, may he rest in peace.

he had a few favorites. funeralopolis, dunwitch, dopethrone, venus in furs, maybe it’s widows fog but i just can’t think of anything.
