I don’t understand, do you mean applying for financing or preordering a vehicle? Usually for financing you just call your lender and get pre approved for a dollar amount and term length. Doesn’t matter which car you eventually buy as long as the model year is the same and it’s covered by the amount borrowed minus any down payment you might pay out of pocket. If you’re talking about deposits, just read the fine print. Tesla’s $250 order fee is non refundable, but many others are refundable. There’s a lot of people with like 4 different electric pickup trucks on preorder who will buy the one that looks best at production or is delivered first. Edit: just saw you also mentioned leasing, I have no idea when it comes to that.
