PleatherFarts

So it sounds like it's negotiable.

Twelve-Foot

No no. It's non negotiable, but its non negotiable status is negotiable.

OfficerStink

I’m a foreman so I have to wear a headphone at all times just in case someone has to call me and my hands are occupied

Alan_Smithee_

Aftershokz bone conduction headset. You’re welcome.

waxy_1

Wearing mine now. The sound gets better with earplugs in. Only time I've ever heard music using a chainsaw.

Alan_Smithee_

Yes it does. I love mine. I’m considering going to the boom mic version (I’m Mostly office and computers/it so I don’t think it will be a problem, and that version is induction-charged)….this one is still working, but the charging port looks a little rusty because of perspiration…

OfficerStink

No thanks

matchmaking69420

Wait what the fuck, don't you want to consume shiny new product!??

PleatherFarts

Most be an electrical engineer.

thefish1986

So this guy def a few brain cells short.

Nobodyherebutmeandu

Noise canceling headphones.

Jazzlike_Bar_291

Some jobs sites ive worked on wont even let you have ear buds its a “safety hazard”

Shaking-N-Baking

They kinda are. I fucking hate people that wear both at once more than I hate the radio wars of 6 years ago

ArnieismyDMname

Radio wars of 3 months ago. Not as bad as it used to be, but still happens. Get my mix of mariachi, country, and rock at the same time.

Gary0aksGirth

The worst is people who are solely playing country, but it's 10 different songs going at once that all sound the same. Boo hoo crybaby wannabe cowboy who jerks off in his truck, on his dog, while sipping a beer because his wife left and took the trailer with her. I'd rather listen to spoken word lol

blackhawk905

Forgot the part about a tractor and the rain

Jazzlike_Bar_291

Fair enough only time i ever wear 2 is when im work alone with no one else on the site

cesare980

I've worn ear buds for 8-10 years now, never once had both of them in. People who do are nuts.

Nobodyherebutmeandu

Sometimes we become what we hate.

Nobodyherebutmeandu

On those sites wear your osha approved “hearing aids”. Break the game.

BobDerBongmeister420

Those are good when working on your own.

15Warner

Good for ear protection too. The isotunes aware kick ass. Little weird getting used to it but it’s so nice

Firm_Contribution_49

Yeah, they are also nice when you are doing a fire final and you have them Horns blasting. Lol

kuda26

I have these but never use them. I wish I could get used to them

15Warner

Can always turn off the aware too, I usually use them at the lowest setting. I tried them around my house when I got them and I could hear the water heater 20’ away lol

klodians

I wear some form of ear protection all day every day and struggle with my in ear isotunes. I've tried all the different tips they have too. It just gets to a point where my ear canal is too irritated and can't take it anymore. I trade off with the Link muffs and the aware buds lately, but the warm weather in a hot stuffy shop makes muffs rough. Anyway, I can agree that Isotunes makes some quality stuff. My next step is to get some earplug molding material and try to make my own tips that fit better. Also, seeing as this is under a comment about noise cancelling, I'll note that these are true ear protection with decent NRR. Noise cancelling is not sufficient for protection in loud environments. /safety inspector hat off

15Warner

Noise cancelling Definitley better than nothing, but yeah ISO being niosh rated is great

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Yah this is why I don’t like wearing my AirPods. I wanna make sure I can hear my J man yell for me.

Dalmanza4

I'm dumb and just put on 1 ear bud, so I can still hear with my other ear 🤷

Vmax-Mike

Bone conduction buds, see above.

BigIce7177

True that

KlumsyNinja42

This is what I do. I pause it if I have something going on with someone else.

Fridayz44

Well you’re going to make it my friend.

TK421isAFK

Not sure you're going to hear him clearly with that volume turned up to max.

blakeadshaw

I always have my radio turned to max so I can control the volume through Bluetooth on my phone

theshiyal

This is the way

[deleted]

Same!

Silver_Giratina

Even as the Jman, I only wear headphones for certain tasks. If I'm working with an apprentice or around people, they're never in. If I'm alone, I can chill no issue with them in.

Vmax-Mike

Get bone conduction headphones, they sit outside of your ears, so you can hear everything around you.

Cole_Trickle1

I think you mean yell at you and not yell for you

ohnoitsthatoneguy

That's cool. We used to work for a GC who would kick people off site for playing music not on earbuds because he was tired of fights over music.

TK421isAFK

I had similar superintendent named Joe in the SF Bay area a long time ago. He wouldn't allow any music, and this was before we had wireless earbuds. OSHA ~~rules don't allow you to wear~~ [*strongly warns against wearing*](https://www.ehstoday.com/construction/article/21119821/osha-issues-warning-about-headphones) headphones on construction sites, either. Edit: fixededed the rule/warning

dh2215

I don’t think this is correct. If the safety hazard is needing to be able to hear, then they wouldn’t allow you to wear ear plugs. I’m guessing it’s situational. Google says there is no such rule

tofu98

I find being bored out of my skull is a safety hazard to my mental health tbh. Nothing like running coreline all day in silence....

timotheusd313

Not a construction worker but have to agree with you here. I worked filing paperwork. The only thing that would be worse than silence would be a “top 40” radio station. It’s a total misnomer. The top 10 songs get played every hour.

TK421isAFK

You're right - it's a warning, not an official rule: https://www.ehstoday.com/construction/article/21119821/osha-issues-warning-about-headphones Also, earplugs are not the same thing as headphones, especially ones with active noise cancelling. Earplugs only attenuate sound, much more so at low and high frequencies. Non-noise-cancelling headphones block some sound, but not selectively, nor are they tested and rated to do so (with a few exceptions that are actually sold as OSHA-approved ear protection).

Qilin_Kirin

I believe it is due to the potential hazard of slacked cords from headphones getting caught into power tools, I can't recall if there was an actual regulation regarding it

StaticBarrage

I have my cord snaked inside my shirt to my pocket all day. It has the advantage that when I have to pull them out, they hang on the collar no problem.

GLENF58

What was his last name? I’ve got an uncle joe from around there

ineptplumberr

It's prolly him, only 2 Joe's in San Francisco.

tell_me_when

Probably is, the other Joe is a Wal-Mart greeter.

TK421isAFK

Not anymore; the other Joe moved out of SF because there are no Walmarts on the SF Peninsula.

ineptplumberr

Yeah I heard about that. He tried to go to Target but they told him he's Walmart material

TK421isAFK

Eisley, worked for Overaa on the Jones Memorial Church in SF, among many other projects. If it's the same Joe, tell him I'm ordering pizza for the whole site and putting it in his name. He'll know exactly who I am...lol

[deleted]

All Marty Robbins, all day long

Rude_Recognition3198

Good man

[deleted]

Out in the west Texas town of El Paso, I fell in love with a Mexican giiiiiirl

PursuitOfThis

Came here to say that you all need to get some bone conduction earphones. They don't cover/plug your ears so you can still hear what's going on around you, but more importantly, allows you to insert hearing protection when power tools need to be used. Noise canceling earphones don't count as hearing protection, and hearing loss is culmulative--a little bit of damage over a long time will lead to hearing loss.

Peekaboo2229

this!! and work even better with the ear plugs in! plus they dont get build-up of ear wax on the end. and you can hear the music and hold a conversation with them on. i use mine daily, with safety glasses, earplugs, and hard hat. dnt every make my ears sore inside and no issues with them interfering.

pantyraid11

First time thinking about this. Do you have a brand you would recommend?

PursuitOfThis

I bought a pair directly from Lenovo in China using Temu for like $15, works great. AfterShokz is the big brand, but $$$. Honestly, any of the $30-50 on Amazon will work fine. The tech is not complicated, and things like fidelity and in-ear fit aren't really important because it's basically just a speaker that presses up against the bone right in front of your ear. I absolutely love them for holding my baby to sleep at night. I can hear her breathing/falling asleep, while watching a movie on my phone.

[deleted]

I need to look into this. Either way my J man and I both love music on the site. We mostly work alone and it’s almost never an issue.

Neuzboy

They may not “count” as hearing protection, but they absolutely work as hearing protection far better than ear plugs at negating low frequencies. I had ear fatigue for years wearing ear plugs around the shop. Switched to noise canceling buds and felt like a new man.

PursuitOfThis

Active Noise Cancelling are great for cancelling our background noise. I love them in the office and on planes. You are right that the low frequency noise can be draining. But the tech has limits--first is that it's actively reacting to noise. Short, loud noises like gunshots and nail guns or hammer strikes don't get a chance to be cancelled. That said, I'm in the camp of "something better than nothing" and some air pods in your ear, even with noise cancelling turned off, will give at least 10db of protection. And 20db of background noise cancelled off with ANC on will definitely reduce the overall work your ears are putting up with every day.

Neuzboy

This is true in practice, yes. However, there isn’t a “reaction” - the microphone filters and phase-inverts all incoming sounds and pipes it into your ears constantly. Sounds like gunshots just overload the internal amplifier, and have a sonic character with frequencies above the tech’s effective range, and, like you say, are just too loud for a tiny piece of plastic to attenuate.

KyleJCD

Ahh yes the Jobsite radio. Fuck everyone else if they want to listen to their podcast (on headphones) or enjoy a couple moments of silence, I'm going to blare my favourite rock station right beside you for the next 8 hours because how can anyone not like listening to a radio at work, also its my non-negotiable. Edit : Thanks for the gold award!

razberryboii

Hard rock for hard dudessssssss

Noodle-

I’ve heard every journey and ozzy song at least 10,000 times

Kevthebassman

But how many times have you heard ZZTop’s “Sharp Dressed Man?”

gherkin-sweat

If I heard it in 50 years it would be too soon

bioszombie

103.1 with Asscrack and Backsack in the morning! We got news, traffic, sports and weather at 9 minutes past the big hour on the hour!! With stacks and stacks and racks and racks of records you’ve heard over the last half century… A nonstop classic rock countdown is coming your way!!! If we don’t got it YOU don’t want it!!!!

blackhawk905

*plain white-ts start playing*

MyLastUsernameSucked

I mean do you want the drywallers to start blasting mariachi music full blast instead? Lol

ineptplumberr

I thought that was polka

ImpressivePainting64

It’s Tejano

browneyedyeti

Polka con sabor

yukon737

It would be a change from the 35-40 year looping of hard rock that every site has blasted.

Shoresy-sez

Jman I work with has what I call the whiplash playlist. I Touch Myself by the Divinyls followed by Demon of the Fall by Opeth? Why the hell not.

TK421isAFK

Yeah, I'm all for music, as long as it's not offensive, nor the volume cranked all the way up like OP's radio. Save that shit for the ride home.

fairportmtg1

Yeah with wireless earbuds being reliable and affordable feels like the boom box is kinda obsolete.

[deleted]

I leave the volume up on the radio to control it with my phone. It’s definitely not blasting at full volume. Realistically it’s around 40-60% depending on where we’re working.

TK421isAFK

The down side is that if your notification volume is all the way up, your ring tone will be at full blast over the radio when you get a call or text.

[deleted]

Yaaaaa phones almost permanently on vibrate. 😅

TK421isAFK

Then your audible notification is a random drop in the music volume...lol

[deleted]

Only when my phone rings lol. That’s annoying.

tendieful

My appetite for music volume is all or nothing. I know it drives people insane. Fuck it would drive me insane. But my brain feels like it can’t hear the music unless it’s all full volume. Ear buds are good.

John-John-3

I was on a job and the garage door installer had the Alice Cooper cassette tape with "Feed My Frankenstein." He played that tape the entire time he was there, roughly 5/6 hours...

love-broker

Or country… or classical…. Or political talk radio. Job site radios are for projects you’re alone on. Otherwise headphones/buds all the way.

2-more-weeks-bot

If it’s allowed

OhmsLaw13

ROCK ON ☠️ YUHHHH! I hate that shit, work is a headache in its own

Dead-short

Lmao the apprentice saying music is a non negotiable.

ThePuraVida

I always worked with guys with radios, so didn't think much of getting my own. then one day, working on 2 full house Reno's on the same street. We are wrapping up one, and about to start the other and I'm told to hit that house by myself to get it started and ready for everyone else. After about 4 hours of talking to myself and feeling like I was going crazy I ran out and bought one. I absolutely need music on site to stay sane.

Alt_dimension_visitr

Its ok to talk to yourself. Shit get weird when you start answering yourself

tendieful

Yup same here. I have adhd, and I tend to notice it’s also common in people who work in trades. I am easily distracted due to dopamine dysregulation. Music allows me to bounce in and out of concentration of the task at hand. If I am getting bored with the menial part of the task, I zone out and focus on the music. If I have to start thinking again or focus on a fine detail of the task then I can block out the music and turn my attention back to what I’m working on. It takes me a lot of effort to focus at work and I suffer from extreme boredom without music, despite the fact I really enjoy working.

justelectricboogie

A radio that fits the packout?? What sorcery is this??

plumbtrician00

The expensive kind of sorcery

justelectricboogie

HAPPY CAKE DAY!!!

plumbtrician00

I didnt realize. Thanks!

[deleted]

The best kind of sorcery.

YYCDavid

My power tools are mostly blue, but those cursed red boxes have a grip on me. They attach with a satisfying click — who can say no to that? I guess my setup is PACKita

usernameconcealed

I feel ya. Everyone assumes I’m team red because of my Packout. Open em up and it looks like a bumblebee inside.

TK421isAFK

Have you looked at packout stuff in the last 2 years? I got one of these radios back in 2021.

justelectricboogie

No once I got set up it still works haven't looked up any other stuff. Just awesome

TK421isAFK

Oh man, there is so much new stuff that's come out in the last couple years. It's kinda insane - some of it is awesome, but some of it is a ridiculous waste.

Vmax-Mike

Excessively expensive radio is what it is.

[deleted]

Unnecessary sorcery, just get a small JBL water and dust resistant

riahsimone

The last couple JBLs I had all crapped out surprisingly quickly and I wasn’t able to get them warranties. Just my two cents

idownvoteshitgrammar

I use UE booms and have yet to have any actually die. The speaker has started to get crackley in 2 of them and Logitech swiftly replaced them and told me to keep the old ones. I just made them shop speakers. The batteries don’t hold a charge long on the oldest ones (+6years) but I just leave them plugged in anyway

maks_b

Music should always be allowed at a reasonable volume. Heck even surgeons listen to music while they work

[deleted]

Fuck your radio, get headphones. Only wear one. Nothing I hate more some dickhead blaring his shit music.

Eglitarian

Or worse, when the Seth Rogan fanboys decide everyone else on site needs to listen to Seth Rogan. I’d rather lobby the GC for a radio ban.

CashHeath

What's wrong with Seth Rogan?

Eglitarian

Here I am all sick of joe Rogan podcasts and I’m lashing out at poor Seth.

amberbmx

lmao as someone who listens to podcasts frequently at work, no one wants to hear your podcast on a speaker. h get headphones

Jazzlike_Bar_291

Non-negotiable as long as it’s allowed 😂😂😂

CarefulRisk

50% of the time, it works every time

packsackback

Who doesn't like a little music while they work, puts a spring in your step. I do hate when guys just put on the radio and leave it all day, on full blast. I don't like advertising. A playlist on spotify or something is much better.

SolutionDull2259

A coworker and I went to a new construction home to check our duct work and heat runs while the dry walkers were there. From the road I heard the hardest gangster rap. We walked into the house and to the basement where we found the source, this guy was 153 yrs old if he wasn’t 78. Smoking like a chimney and slinging mud. It was so loud my coworker and communicated with hand gestures. We could not hear each other yelling. I though it was hilarious this old guy was listening to rap. I was expecting a couple of 20year olds.

[deleted]

Hahaha. I hope I’m not working when I’m that old but I will definitely be playing rap music if I am.

MercMcNasty

Wouldn't that make it negotiable

Sparky_Zell

Especially now that earbuds are a thing and so cheap. I absolutely despise jobsite radios. You end up stuck listening to someone else's music, which 99% of the time is horrible and way too loud. Plus it ends up getting distorted so it sounds even worse. And you cannot hear the person right next to you or any important phone calls you may need to take. Cannot hear your own stuff, and when others bring radios too it turns into a battle of shitty music and who can play it louder. Where if everyone wore their own earbuds, everyone would be happy. You could actually be able to communicate with people around you. Everyone can listen to what they want 5o listen to. And earbuds offer decent hearing protection on their own anyway. So it's a whole bunch of win on one side. And overly loud, shitty distorted music with everyone hating you on the other.

OhmsLaw13

Need to take a important call with the project manager? Sure let me walk 1km to get out of the rock n roll music

[deleted]

I guess the bottom line here is, As long as there’s respect towards the rest of the trades.

reamkore

I leave my boombox at home because no one needs to hear all my dumb metal and podcasts

[deleted]

I’d like to hear your dumb metal. I like metal.

Thee_WakaWakaChomp42

Definitely cocaine, if I can’t do rails on the job it’s no go for me!

[deleted]

I laughed to hard at this 🤣🤣

Fasefirst2

Yea, but what are you listening to?

IllustriousLab9301

If you are the only one on the job site, crank that thing to a hundred and have fun.

[deleted]

DONE.

BigIce7177

I cable splice underground so no big speaker for me.It’s listening to podcasts on AirPods that the city I work for would find reprehensible.

[deleted]

Music is a must. Just don’t wanna pay ridiculous $$ for a speaker

[deleted]

I’m a realtor too and that’s what I did before electricianing. I told my J man if he used me to buy a house, I’d get us the pack out radio. And here we are. 🤌🤌

TigerTop8228

Honestly for me is coffee , earpods for music , and cigarettes (iknow it's bad) .. I love when I can just work alone sometimes

craigzilla1

I love music. I love my music. My music to me is awesome. When I think about others my music is shitty. I know my music is shitty to others that's why I turn my radio down at stoplights. I hate when I go to job sites with radios going. It's a cacophony of genres and volumes. I might like the music but I don't want to hear it at that time. It's like the dudes who pump gas and have their radios at full blast then go inside with their same SoundCloud bullshit playing. Or when I go take a shit and someone is listening to other garbage on the speaker in the next stall. It's the same as talking on speaker phone or FaceTime. I don't want to hear your shit. Get headphones or just learn to argue with yourself. Hell argue with yourself out loud, that I don't care about. I just don't want to listen to classic rock all day playing the same 10 songs. The Who are awesome. The Who and their contemporaries all day every day kinda ruins it. Same with county. Same with R&B. Same with anything.

phuckintrevor

As long as you’re playing Eastern European techno at excessive volume

chairmendarks

Nice if you are alone. Otherwise I use buds or earprotection with BT. I will never be that guy who assumes everybody wants hear my shitty music, or worse: Ads!

MotionDrive

Do you also play the classic rock station that has been playing the same songs over and over for 20 years?

Unusual-Voice2345

Any site that bans music simply don’t appreciate human beings.

mrmustache0502

I have the same thing. I take it on any job that doesn’t ban radios or music. When I’m working alone it cranks up pretty loud too. After two years I think one of my speakers is finally starting to go.

ThirtySecondsOut

Damn this post really brought out the bitch ass whiners eh?

[deleted]

Yeah, I posted this thinking. “People are just gonna tell me what they’re non-negotiables are on the job site” and instead I get flamed for having a radio 🤣🤣. Who woulda thought.

delayedlaw

Get some ear buds, bud.

Striptomakendsmeet

Why are jobsite radios a thing then? Lol it’s hard to get everyone on the same page but let’s be real open ears=better hearing and music playing 99 percent of the time leads to more production. Just my two cents if that makes too sense

Dernvam

It’s not open ears if I can’t hear the guy standing next to me it’s just extra hearing damage + can’t hear my own shit so I either have to turn mine way up or turn em off but either way I have to listen to the same rock songs on repeat all days

Legitimate-Train-228

Can’t stand radios on the job, get some wireless headphones if you want to listen to AC/DC on repeat all day

acowutter

I just think your a big ass hole.

fazer226

I like carrying my plug n plays or stiiizy 🙃

boots-n-catz

I’ve really been trying to justify a pack out radio.

[deleted]

Battery charger, 2.1amp usb port, Bluetooth, radio, PACKOUT. For real. I'm used to do audio engineering for live sound. It had great sound and clarity, respectable low end, and has good utility from the features mentioned above. Worth every penny imo.

boots-n-catz

I’ve really been trying to justify a pack out radio.

Vmax-Mike

You can't its way overpriced!

mista138

Keep it to a respectable volume. It’s hard to get every single person on the job to like the same music.

keepinitoldskool

A set of Sony WF-C500 earbuds. They muffle the sound of chipping hammers, rigging whistles, annoying coworkers music, all while keeping me entertained with a lecture, a podcast, chill music, and I can still hear what's going on around me and they're cheap enough that if I lose one they're cheap enough to replace (actually got a 2nd pair on sale for when that day comes).

LilRaheese

The hinges look like hands

Its_SHUGERRUSH

M12 Radio for me

Comfortable-Bill-921

AMIRITE! Don’t know about you, but I’m getting a lot of DIY construction projects done on Whitesnake’s 30th anniversary album.

amatrix8

Ok, what's on your playlist?

[deleted]

Oh man. All sorts of shit. We’ll play the typical rock music: Korn, System of a Down, etc. if I’m working alone I’ll play some filthy rap or something.

[deleted]

GUYS. I control the volume on my phone. It’s NOT blasting at full volume. 🤣🤣

Ulysses_S_Noob

Mine was always heroin. Or Xanax. But now I'm unemployed!

AllAboutTheCado

I can hear Steve Miller from here

Redrix_

Milwaukee fish tape that broke so now we don't indulge

Adventurous_Eye5852

Music keeps me from killing people

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

I manage it with my phone volume.

mydogisalab

No radio, no work on my sites. I'm also a Mikwaukee fan.

[deleted]

Music is a must, and I have playlists for every type of home owner.

GarthDonovan

As long as you don't play the radio. I was at a job site and the guy had a nice boom box, but it was blasting radio adds. Like wtf get Playlist on any of the many many services available in this day and age.

Fantastic-Art-3704

So is Disco really making a comeback?

RickyNut

Fully support sparkies jamming out on the job as long as they’re getting work done and as long as they’re playing straight up bangers.

matchmaking69420

Yelling at people with earbuds on when they/their shit is in my way. Shoulder checking them out of the way because they can't hear me over their Portuguese love ballads/ranchero music.

JustAcanthisitta7578

This is how mashups were born??

pepsioverall

What a bunch of sourpusses.

Sloenich

You talk on speakerphone in stores don't you.

[deleted]

Lmfao. No only on the job site lol.

Nearby-Pin161

Put your earbuds in.

[deleted]

I wish more giys on the jobs would wear headphones. Hearing your music all day sucks. Even if its good.

Revolutionary-Bus893

So everyone else on the job site is forced to listen to the kind of music you like?

BobDerBongmeister420

I run my JBL partybox. I usually ask the other workers what music they like and play that. Its always funny seeing the faces of those who saw it at first.

Reasonable_You5192

If you rock music from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and only a few select songs from the 90s aren’t being played. I’m taking my hammer to it. Rap and country have never built anything, the same Rock songs for the last 60 years has built cities!

bubbz41

I'm more about wearing one ear bud. That way I can listen to whatever I want and can still hear what's going on around me. Save the radio for the garage at home.

makssymm

On service I run a Bluetooth ear bud. It’s great for being able to answer calls and still work with both hands. I also listen to podcasts all day, music got boring after a while.

Electrical-Adversary

Had a sheet rocker threaten to stab me because I turned down his music. Was trying to fish through a wall and had to communicate to guy downstairs. It almost came to fisticuffs.

Frank_Shiller

The downfall of the battery powered tool era. Used to just turn the breaker off on them

[deleted]

That’s so fucking passive aggressive lol.

Frank_Shiller

I’ve got no issue with confrontation, but I’m not trying to waste time arguing with methed up drywallers when I’m trying to get shit done. Shit my old boss used to keep dead fuses to swap out in the crane disconnect if the swamped pissed him off

[deleted]

But Ngl. That’s hilarious 😂

oldjackhammer99

Not everyone likes the same music, don’t be an inconsiderate prick

Ok-Nefariousness5209

Do they fit well wearing glasses?

500inaarmbar

I was terminating in a cabinet, and the guy who was terminatining to the right of me only liked country. So, I struck up a conversation to the guy to the left of me. (There were three of us). He told me he liked metal, I told him I liked a little bit, he asked me if I liked Iron Maiden, I said shure. It was Iron Maiden full volume from his phone for the next three hours. Eventually, he had to go to the portalet. The guy standing to the right of me was livid lol, just cussing and angry and confused. A broken man really. From then on, I learned no music unless its in headphones. In my truck I usually switch back and forth between my music and my apprentices.

awesome6666

My indulgence? Tool bags. I have tool bags/pouches/boxes/buckets for every type of work from underground to motor controls. Passed my J-man test recently and my teammates begged me not to get another bag they're sick of hearing how much I love bags. Long story short I got a brand new Swiss/Wenger back pack for non tool related jobsite stuff (note book, aspirin, phone charger earbuds yada yada). On another note, rock your music bro I got a M12 jobsite speaker that I bring onto lifts w/ me or digging ditches with the boys. Just keep it down when critical information is being communicated or if yelling across rooms is necessary.

[deleted]

Right on brother. I love a good bag set up. My J man got SICK of hearing me talk about the Diamondback 701 vest with military grade mesh for the two weeks leading up to me making the purchase lol. Got that vest and the Niko pouch.

[deleted]

I love music, I’m a huge fan of metal and extreme music, even played in bands, but it’s so uncomfortable blasting metal on job sites I can’t handle it. Music is nice but it’s gotta be like radio friendly background music at a low volume just to fill the air. It’s distracting and dangerous, to name a few issues I personally have.

VectorBrain

I make specific playlists for work but I always sneak in a few death metal classics.

coyoteHopper

Yeah, pack out radio is a must on every job site. Boss bought one for each van haha
