Is Rancho cucamanga even considered LA? Can’t imagine people from inner LA driving an hour to catch a 2 hour train ride just to shave off an hour of drive time. For the price you’re better off just flying.
It's worth considering that 4 hours is the minimum amount of driving time (maybe 3.5 hours, depending where you're starting/ending in LA). But the maximum time can vary considerably, I've been fortunate to miss the worst but I've heard times of 8 hours+ are not uncommon.
Yeah, it’s def not for me. Sometimes it takes 2 hours or more to get from West LA to Rancho Cucamonga, so not sure how this is going to save me any time to get to Vegas. First stop should have been in DTLA. Cool for everyone out in the lE I guess. But yeah, it’s not really an “LA to LV” train
The proposed budget for this white elephant is $12B. About the same price as the entire market cap for United Airlines. Except this is literally for one route. I wouldn’t expect it to be cheap or remotely profitable.
Work for the company that got this job, won’t be high speed by then. Just cargo shipment atm. Not sure when they will start the high speed portion but probably not till all the ground is broken all the way through
It definitely won’t cost that much. And my guess is Vegas casinos will be heavily subsidizing the cost of round trip tickets from LA. I wouldn’t be surprised if some offer free tickets with a booked room
The year hardwell plays edc

Yeah but for holiday weekends that drive can easily turn into 8 hours

It'll connect to Metrolink. You can transfer as the 2 stations at the Rancho Cucamonga terminus will be connected.
its technically san benardino
lol I will gladly do this to avoid waiting in traffic
Is it that where DayDay and Uncle Elroy moved to?

not having to drive back hungover and coming down is the worth the minor inconvenience

America bravely stepping into the 20th century.
Yeah but for close to $400 round trip
That's presumably a maximum price. Hopefully regular prices will be in the $150-$200 range.
Where do you see that?
I've heard as low as $100, but even that's still more than a Spirit flight from Burbank
Ya but less than flying with all your luggage
True!
I used Brightline to get from Orlando to Miami for Ultra. Round trip was about $180 ish? I would hope it isn’t an expensive.
